CATCHYBLOGGER: My dear, should government allow Nigerians to carry arms in these present situations of anger, hatred, hunger etc, so much scores will be settled within one month of enacting that law.......much blood will flow. Obama's government is even considering changing the law allowing Americans to carry firearms. I wish there could be peace in Nigeria.
I think legalizing arms would be a good start. Nigerians love life, I tell ya. Most of these killers love easy targets. Once they know that it won't be easy they will not like to go there. Especially if they know they may not come out alive.

I will support guns for all. Blood will flow for the first few yrs then things will settle bc All man know say all man carry firearms.

BetaThings: Yes they were shouting Jesus Kill Mohammed
http://harpers.org/archive/2009/05/jesus-killed-mohammed/
The crusade for a Christian military

And are you saying they are less entitled than you to the fruits of their religious endeavour?
So you, and only you, determine who is doing the "God's" work
Please read up on religiousity at Westpoint
clap clap clap . . .good job dude. if the only response you can give to constant killings in the name of allah is an event that took place 1000yrs ago, it says more about you and islam than about christianity. guess what, this is 2013, it a whole new era with enlightenment. infact the enlightenment age of free-thinkers began in the late 1500s so its over 500yrs of enlightenment and you are quoting from what happened 500yrs before the age of free thinking. kudos, but try and wake up, it's 2013. . . next pls

what percentage?
Has an Atheists ever become a president?
lots of them. . . . jeffersons, lincoln, +/- madison etc were free thinkers.

jefferson had a koran, he also had a bible in which he tore out the parts he didnt agree with. he is a classical free thinker and he wrote the declaration of independence.

madison was a deist (officially presents himself as episcopalian but was a practical deist.) and he wrote the constitution.
nb: Critical elements of deist thought included:
Rejection of all religions based on books that claim to contain the revealed word of God.
Rejection of all religious dogma and demagogy.
Rejection of reports of miracles, prophecies and religious "mysteries".
Constructive elements of deist thought included:
God exists, created and governs the universe.
God gave humans the ability to reason.

lincoln was even an iconoclast. never joined a church. was a free thinker until his death. . . . and he freed the slaves

Do you also know that millions of Americans are Muslims?
i know that. and no one has gone to burn the mosques. if it were a muslim country, perhaps there wouldnt be churches in the land. who knows?

Did American christian disown her?
sure america did. she's a laughing stock for liberal america. she lost the election in 2008. but her base still loves her but she is not america's mouth piece and she is not the mouth piece of christianity either. she is just another good politician.
Did the congregation not listen patiently as she told them about the task from God that the Iraqi war was?
"congregation" may have been some evangelical republicans. the religious wing of the republican party which forms part of her strong base. i don't think she would get such an audience in a place like harvard university.
And why did they corroborate her statement by sending evangelists to accompany soldiers to Iraq?
what are you blabbing about? anyway i know that the US military, like nigerian military and other military formations have religious units to help meet the spiritual needs of the soldiers. they have pastors and imams embedded with the military units

And since when did Boko Haram become the mouthpiece of Nigerian Muslim?
since the northern islamic elite went silent while christians were slaughtered daily at their doorstep

Why do we attack policemen who shoot us at checkpoints though at other times they save our lives?
good point. are you a lawyer?

Don't worry, black Jews are being sterilised in Israel
Anyone can shout based on some agenda
So how many non-African presidnet have been dragged before the war crimes tribunal. Plenty
Who is doing the arresting and dragging? America and co
Yet an American soldier cannot be taken before the ICC because America did not sign the convention
Who toppled the Iranian leader, Mussedique, in 1962 to pave way for the Shah who proceeded to rule for 27years? America
hmmn, interesting. sterilizing black jews! i never heard of that. i dont believe you.

Obiagelli: And Nigeria is more secure than other countries with state police?
Which african or 3rd world countries have state police?

If there's a religious riot in Kano and Christians and southerners are being killed, I hope you will trust a Kano state police to protect non- Kano people from indigenous Kano rioters?

Nigeria is NOT ripe for state police. Not with ethnicity/tribalism/religious issues still unsettled.

No ma'am, no state police yet

This is the dude that got the first african hat trick in a FIFA tournament and we all ignored it while we got unnecessarily concerned over Tahiti's first ever goal being against us.

It takes an Italian soccer mogul to appreciate our players while we run them down.

Even fox soccer channel gave great kudos to the eagles (ignore ESPN and BBC, a buncha goat-heads)

hmmm...but God dey watch still.
Before nko? the all seeing God watches all and will reward each in accordance to his/her deeds. me i still prefer ashawo wey don retire, some settle down with any mugu wey gree marry am, she better pass unofficial ashawo (a.k.a the rest of the women) who continue to frolick around after saying "i do"

by the way, you don call me prostitute already simply bc i did what almost every male and EVERY woman does. why na? i dont even do "it" that often since i never keep a girl for long. he/she who is without sin should cast the first stone.

if you aint no virgin you aint got the doggone right to call me names for loosing my virginity. i never knew how a woman's legs were until i turned 20 . thats how long i waited. talk of great upbringing

Diasporan: Pity yourself first before talking about pitying Naija cause the Naija itself don't need your pity.Bunch of Pessimists. That's how you all bashed them with your gutters in AFCON and they still came out victorious
Abi o, we wrote off our own boys after they played a draw with Zambia. Then predicted that Côte d'Ivoire will eat us raw. But we beat them. And won the cup.

Compare our attitude with that of the British. They have a hopeless team but they support their team and hype them up, we just run down our team.

Inferiority complex. If Spain beats us, so what? It's a game. We mustn't win. But we must develop a positive attitude towards our own, at least in sports, just a game, doesn't matter much and won't affect the price of condoms anyway so why not be nice to our boys

babyosisi: So prayers have been banned in Nigerian schools?
I had no idea
I was still @ federal govt college okigwe when prayers were banned. I think things started derailing from then on. God is real o. Just like prayers were banned in the US public schools in the 50s-60s and the crazy decade of 60s happened followed by a rise in divorce rates and single parenthood, homosexuality etc from the 70s on.

This cultism thing is a joke. In Unical I didn't have to join. I still had a good time at Unical, had some cool babes for myself, enjoyed night-parties when I could. Had no worries. Na wa for these young people. Wasted lives.

davidylan: Ok the commentary from ESPN was a complete disgrace.

1. Alexi Lalas saying that it would be lack of disrespect for Nigeria to rest their stars to play Tahiti? So exactly why does Lalas think Nigeria should not have the right to prioritize its games according to which are winnable?

2. The ESPN commentator was downright horrible... i lost count of the number of times he called the nigerian team undisciplined, lacked flair and didnt deserve to win by such a wide score margin. Just in case he has forgotten... soccer sometimes isnt pretty... it is the number of times you put the ball in your opponents net that counts.

I'm not one to shout racism at every turn but it is quite obvious that certain commentators treat african nations with a disdain... almost like they are nothing but a bunch of third-world animals with all brawn and no skill. It takes skill to remain on a pitch for 90mins... if the commentator thinks it is easy he should put on a pair of boots and try in front for Tahiti.
I've never been pissed off like this before. I'm going to send them a mail. Those folks forgot that the eagles were having Jet-Lag angry
I was so damn pissed. I didn't watch the second half. All the abuses when we were up by 3-0. Why? angry

If Spain and Urugay beat us, so what? England lost all three games in the UEFA under 20 cup. I didn't call them sloppy ( I actually called them empty noisy barrels grin )
Even Israel that is at war beat them grin

Damn.

hmmn, sister is on to something.

Someone will still make history....Oduamadi is the first African to score a brace in a FIFA senior tournament opening game, no be history be that? Why una no remember that one?
OMG!! shocked how come no one noticed that?
Preach on sister!! cheesy

The sad thing about Africans is that they easily subscribe to the whities assertion that they are a useless race....if Tahiti and England had played and this score-line was achieved, the same yeye BBC and Goal.com una dey look, for dey hype them.
now I'm angry. angry
Truth hurts angry. We've been brainwashed into belittling ourselves angry
England is still talking about the World Cup they won in 1966 angry

Like someone said, no be suwe suwe Tahiti take come here, they won other countries too, they're not useless.

Finally, let us all see how Spain and Uruguay will hammer Tahiti 20-0, shebi na this confed cup wey we dey see

Bunch of pathetic NIGGAHZ!!!
Thank you my sister. You are spot on. Smart proud naijababe. I'm so ashamed I didn't even notice the history we made. We won a game 6-1 and the press makes us look like we lost and Tahiti won. I was so pissed at ESPN commentators that I changed channel and didnt watch second half .

But this my sister her has proven to be wiser and more mature because education is all about listening to everything without loosing your temper and without loosing your self confidence and self worth. sister you nailed it, I lost my temper at alexi lalas and Steve mcmanaman of ESPN but you kept your cool. You got the right mind-set.
