Captainus,
those feeds belong to internet providers so you cant pick tv/radio signals.

gangsta101,
please send the patch to my mailbox toxnaija@gmail.com.Can it work on my receiver 4653x series?I think badaru1 should be able to direct us on which site to get the keys.I will call mide2008 tonight.please call badaru.I could see some on anaimgr.com and soirnet.com but you have to download.I am always afraid of that method of acquring keys because of fry,fry problem.what do you think?I will check badaru's pix now.

all,
according to mide, the premiership stuff is being used by a viewing centre in Ibadan.mide2008's friend knows the guy but the viewing centre guy wouldnt give our guy the frequency until he pays. Our guy has promised to pay by weekend.mide2008 will give me the latest gist tonight. If he still cant pay,we should contribute.at least N100 recharge card each wont be too much to hook up to premiership again.I am only suggesting ooo incase our guy cant pay by weekend.

olason,
please call me.thanks for the info on new channels especially fox movies series.what happened to the feeds you gave me?I couldnt pick any even Supersports feed.
Politics / Re: Lagos Megacity Project-send Your Proposals To Gov. Fashola by toxnaija: 5:44pm On Nov 13, 2008
Nigeria1,

if you have any proposal to send, please make it public on this thread for assessment by the public.I will copy it after the assessment and send it to the governor. That is how I operate. If you still doubt me,then get in touch with midas02 on the thread Building a mass transit for Lagos(Metro-rail).
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by toxnaija: 3:20pm On Nov 11, 2008
Captainus,
what do you see on the 5 active feeds on nss10?

badaru,
pls get in touch with justx24 for the sale of the psat card.He seems to be so much interested in the channel. How about the supersports serie a feed, any development?

all,
mide's friend in Ibadan is cooking up something for a sports channel, though he is going to pay some cash for it.He will get in touch with the loyal and regular members by next weekt to avoid early encryption from the channel.if anyone has fta access to sports channel, pls let us know.I believe some people see premiership free every weekend.I am waiting to hear from mide at the weekend.2M showed us Arsenal vs.Man Utd on Saturday.
Politics / Re: Lagos Megacity Project-send Your Proposals To Gov. Fashola by toxnaija: 5:18pm On Nov 09, 2008
Nigeria1,
I take exception to the statement about "getting mouth".Please dont discourage people.I am begging you not to turn this thread into an avenue for verbal assault.I remember all the altercations between you and Dr.Kitaun.Check what midas02 has been doing on the thread Building mass transit in Lagos. His presentation has been seen by Gov.Fashola.You need to believe in the system before it can work for you.If you have any brilliant idea for him,I can bet it on my life that it would be put into use immediately by BRF.I want your presentation on this thread so that others will assess it before I pass it across to BRF.Please always write in English as I couldnt get your Yoruba very well.Eko o ni baje ooo!
Politics / Lagos Megacity Project-send Your Proposals To Gov. Fashola by toxnaija: 8:13pm On Nov 06, 2008
My dear fellow Nigerians and friends of Nigeria,

I am using this medium to request for proposals on the Lagos megacity project.Governor Fashola can not do it alone. He needs your support and contributions to make Lagos Africa's first megacity.I promise that he would put all brilliant ideas into use.I have been compiling so many proposals for him.Your proposal can come with designs, presentation imagery or satellite imagery. It must be full of practical, feasible and understandable ideas.Instead of abusing government, let us use the energy to think hard and come up with ideas that would change Lagos for the better.Let the ideas flow.It could be on Lagos metro-rail,Decongesting Lagos,Reducing Pollution,Security,BRT,or any topic that would turn around Lagos. If your proposal is too large for this medium,I can arrange for a one-on-one presentation.Thanks.
Travel / Re: Building A Rapid Mass Transit System (Metro-Rail) In Lagos by toxnaija: 7:17pm On Nov 06, 2008
midas02,

thanks for the call a few minutes ago.I can assure you of the Governor's commitment.please send a comprehensive proposal and your contact details for onward transmission to him.I will be expecting them in my mail box at the weekend so that I would be able to discuss them with the governor next week.I am very grateful for believing so much in turning around the nation just like me.Regards.

c-band users,

midas02,
I am still expecting your call.I need to have a chat with you urgently. Thanks for the beautiful piece especially the great pictures.

backslider,
Yours was also superb.I just forwarded it to the gov.I want as many Nigerians to come up with great proposals for the Lagos megacity project.I promise that Gov.Fashola will see and go through every article.Eko o ni baje ooo!

C band users,
there is a new station TIM on intel 906 frequency 3654 v 5632,same tp with tv mozambique and tpa1.OSMI feed on NSS 703 is active with female u-17 matches.

all,
did any one pick any football feed at the weekend?I was not successful, even with the supersports serie a feed badaru sent!

sammu,
BEN TV is more of rubbish.it hooks up to NTA,and shows some trash programmes though it is based in London.Even,Nigerians in UK watch just the NTA network news.the same with AIT movistar,my cousin's children in London hate both of them with a passion.

Nash-fta,
I will check the ntv channel on my 2.4m dish when I return home this weekend.I hope it is not like ubc-uganda which shows more of rubbish.

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by toxnaija: 7:41pm On Oct 30, 2008
sylve11,
please send the software and guide to my mailbox toxnaija@gmail.com.

all,
I miss everybody.I am sure some of you know why I was absent.I am really happy that Nilesat is now the baby of the house.I remember it was just badaru,mide2008,baba egun, graciousme, myself, and a few others some months back.I pray the keys would come back soon and you would experience the real magic of satellite.Nilesat is very funny,so don't lose hope if you can't pick some stations now. They could pop up when you don't expect them. But I pick all the signals reaching Nigeria without any major problem with my 3m fibre and fuji lnbf.I doubt it if Obnelly can pick Showtime sports with 2.4m dish in Sagamu,Ogun state.3m dish in Ogun State picks it at 48% between 2pm and 7pm,50/52% between 7pm and 10am that is when the weak CNN,VH1 signal arrives, reaching 46/48%.But for the past 6 weeks,my Showtime sports and that of Mide2008(3.6m mesh dish) has been staying 24hrs though with no keys.
Please endeavour to tune to eutelsat w3a and blindscan at the weekend or anytime there is a major sporting event such as premiership,la liga, serie a,etc.I have discovered that pay tv providers like Supersport always use the bird for their feeds coming into Africa. This is an assignment for us all. Please turn in your findings by Monday.if Badaru could discover Supersport Italian league feed, then let us all look for the other feeds, even HITV.I am pretty sure they are in the free air.I wish I had witchcraft to trap the frequencies.

badaru1/Olason,
please text the feed frequencies to my phone by Friday.kudos for the efforts.I don't think it is illegal to post frequencies. The only snag is that the moment they discover we are seeing their feeds, they change it some months later. So post whatever you have on this thread. It is really difficult for operators to change frequencies and coding system. They hate us for being a thorn in their flesh, but they can afford to ignore us because a lot of people would still have to pay for the free things we view.So if you have Hitv feeds, please send them to me.I dey fear them.them fit kill u for having their secret.I miss you all.I have Unleash the 80s radio podcast sent to me from London by the oldies presenter CBM.Watch him on SilverbirdTV,Lagos Wednesday night 11pm.If you love oldies, then share this with me by downloading great music on these links, active in the next 15 days-

sathob,
I couldnt get the Metro TV football feed due to the incomplete info you sent.please try and get the symbol rate on your receiver.Thanks.

Nash-fta,
should I call you a genius or weirdo?Great job that was!

Enigma,
I am sorry that I would have to delay till June.I have some important things to do here.I will mail you soon.Regards.

Adewest,
you must be a joker! How dare you put keys that had been off for almost two months on the thread.Besides, dont you realise that it is illegal to put keys on the thread? Please quickly remove them.I cant stop laughing over your various pranks here.Moderator, please take prompt action.

olofofo.
body don fine now ooo.the zain thing did not work me.

Nilesat gurus/badaru1/mide2008/enigma,
the 0.2db shop lnb was installed at the weekend but it did not give me improved signal. So,I had to return the fuji lnb which gives me maximum signal of up to 80% on channels like Showtoday. What could be wrong with the shop and gsat.I sawed off the edge and did all the same things I did for fuji, yet they bring low signals while fuji shoots up as soon as it is installed.

Nilesat users,
please don't mind Adewest. He was playing pranks.Obnelly, the Showtime keys are for Hotbird but enjoy Disney and Bloomberg.

all,
any news on Daarsat?
I found out yesterday that the unpainted silver foil I pasted in the middle of my 3m Nilesat dish was reflecting so much sun heat that it was frying parts of my cable exposed to it.I had to wrap the cable with electrical insulator tape when my neighbour raised alarm that there was smoke.Mide2008 once mentioned this as the reason dish foils are always painted. The rays it radiates can burn anything on its path if unpainted.
sathob,
please send me the frequency.check your mail.I just sent you a mail.

ART Sport 5 can be opened with ACTIVE : CCW on Hotbird,ART SPORT 5 12015 H 27500 HOTBIRD EXCLUSIF check SOIRNET.COM
02 key for showtime is still on (works for disney 11859-62 v 27500 3/4 and bloomberg freq 11978 V 5/6 nilesat 7W, at the moment ok)

Captainus,
The DAAR New York signal had been there for almost one year. Please dont rejoice about them yet. What is happening to Daarsat really.

Sathob,
Please send me the freq of the football feed on NSS7 or any other one. There is German bundesliga live on MBC on w3a every Sunday afternoon.

all,
I visited Discomm cable,Agidingbi,Ikeja,Lagos, this afternoon.I was completely disappointed with the package.Their so-called 48 channels are really terrible local stations except for CNN,TRACE,SKY NEWS,AL-JAZEERA,MBC2,MBC ACTION,and two other foreign stations. Please dont waste your money on their system. It is not worth it at all.N7000 decoder,N3000 monthly subscription plus N500 VAT watching Yotomi and the other raz stations. In fact, majority of them are yet to start transmitting yet they want to collect money.Na lie!!!!!!!!!  The 6m dish is enough to pick any signal even from Australia. So what could be wrong. If you are in the Lagos area and you want to see 6m dishes, please visit Discomm or NTA,V/Island.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 6:38pm On Oct 07, 2008
all,
thanks for the care.I am gradually returning to full health though I had to take a break.mide2008 too is just recovering too.The Showtime 02 keys can also open Bloomberg, apart from Disney.Aflam morocco's keys are also out in biss encryption.Open the key menu on Strong using 8280 to get biss.

Enitan,
no qualms. My gang members and I have decided to finally bury the hachet but you must come to Lekki roundabout naked at midnight on Saturday for some etutus, like you always see in Nollywood.Bring along 7 Humax decoders,7 Showtime cards and the heads of OBJ and Yar'adua still dripping with blood.I can tell you how to catch baba in Abeokuta though I love him.Ignoring this etutu is at your peril ooooooo oko Chioma, abi another one don take over. One of our secrets eh?

wahwah,
wetin be ch.55?

Gofitech,
thanks for the call.any new bird or frequency? If not for you and mide2008,there would have been total blackout on Premiership.2m Maroc Nat is the only reliable access now and the e tv feeds on 0.8w which joins Supersports occasionally.2M Maroc's line-up for football this Saturday  SAMEDI 11 OCTOBRE:10h50: Transworld Sport 11h45: Futbol Mundial 20h15: Champions League Magazine(GMT).

Enigma,
I cant wait to meet that your neighbour.I remember when my dishes in Abeokuta were installed some years back, all my neighbours were very happy thinking that the signals will enter their tv sets from the space directly. Some even thought I was using the dishes to broadcast my tv news to the studios in Lagos and Abeokuta.I spoke with mide2008 on the more dishes issue,he too felt that it is not electromagnetically possible.sorry for the vocab.I was reminiscing on my Physics days which got me into satellites.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 7:51pm On Oct 06, 2008
all,
I was able to open the DISNEY CHANNEL on nilesat using the 02 keys for Showtime.it is the only station available with the new keys.visit www.soirnet.com to pick the keys.I would be happy to try out the Starsat decoder to open jsc+1,2,3.
DAARSAT launches tomorrow morning in Abuja. How do we pick their 50 yeye channels?

Olofofo,
on starsat, please help to look for where we can get it original and cheap.I will also call my contacts in Alaba.BUT the question is can all STARSAT decoders open jsc+,or do we need to patch it?Nilesat and decoders gurus especially badaru1,enigma,f-marshal and mide2008,please contribute your opinion on this.I am still puzzled on how the decoder opens jsc+ just like strong decoder opens e and sabc.

enitan,
let me just say I bear no grudges against you or onye-ngbu but you know that things can never be the same again. You remember how I let you into my life telling you so many personal things even secrets. The only pain you caused me was the fact that this incident has changed me from an extremely friendly person into a very careful person.I no longer let people into my life easily like the past.I remember that you also rubbished my 16 year old meritorious career calling me a mere, #%&* when you know all the heights it has got me into.IN FACT,YOU WERE A FAN FOR YEARS but the moment you met me through this thread,I became a dustbin,FIT TO BE CALLED A GANG LEADER.I have put this behind me,but some people who know me very well just like you on the phone, felt my pain when you were performing and have sworn not to even read whatever you put on this thread again.I am sure you know some of them because you referred to them as gang members/critics because of their views.I think you need to reach out to them. Some don't even post again because they are afraid of being insulted.Did you realise that my doctor brother several kilometres away reads this thread religiously? He was looking forward to meeting you before the insults.Imagine how he felt when he was reading all you wrote on his dear brother.I will always be there for you when you need me but read this thought-provoking proverb in Yoruba-OJU APA KO LE DA BI OJU ARA. As for me,I have put everything behind me but I still remain very careful.Regards.

jujukemist,
I will repeat it for the umpteenth time that mbc persia and press tv on nilesat are picked clearly on my 3m dish in Ogun state reaching 66%.In fact, there is no tp picked in the north,I can not pick on 3m fibre here.

enigma/obnelly,
thanks for the mail.I will reply as soon as I feel very strong again.enigma,I will get in touch very soon.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 9:54pm On Oct 05, 2008
all,
I 'm really happy with the new-found love and enthusiasm for Nilesat.I remember a lot of people were discouraged by the dish size especially with a place like Lagos where there is hardly space. But I would like to point out one sad fact about 1.8 and 2.4m dishes picking Nilesat in Lagos-No matter how strong the lnb or other accessories might be,you can't pick the really juicy Showtime packages i.e.Showtime sports1-4,CNN,Boomerang,Discovery world,Show Action, etc.I'm sure badaru should be able to explain that.I'm not discouraging you but I want you to really enjoy Nilesat by going for 3m fibre or pan in the south.Concerning the off and on keys, you can't really feel the excitement some of us get until the keys are on especially if you have internet access or a cafe in the neighbourhood. It is worth the stress.
The keys are off but you can open Showtime freq with Disney channel and other juicy stations-NILE SAT 11859 v 27500 irdeto2 provider 060410.visit www.soirnet.com.I think it is the best for getting keys for now.I would have posted the keys but it is illegal,so please visit the site where you can also get keys for AFLAM TV  MOROCCO EUTELSAT W6 11651 V 15710 BISS. You can also watch live matches on the site.I am currently enjoying la liga MADRID v ESPANYOL there. They joined jsc+2 through USTREAM live.
Would you believe that the e tv feed 12712 V 4423 on 0.8w Intelsat 10-02 this afternoon showed the entire second half of the Chelsea v Aston Villa?I immediately called olofofo and mide2008 as they both pick the bird.OSMI is also showing FIFA indoor football.
With the demise of RDV and ART/Showtime,2M Maroc Nat is still the best bet for premiership on fta for now.
sorry,I am yet to fix my shop 0.2db lnb on my Nilesat.I was ill throughout the week.

badaru1/enigma,
I wouldnt want to drag myself into the more dishes/more signal debate. But I think it does not look feasible.Signals travel from one uplink point in the space directly to the downlink point on the earth.it looks like saying more vsats, better internet signal in Ikeja but it does not work that way.I am just confused because you almost convinced me with your last post.enigma and f-marshal tried hard to explain the way I understand it too.
badaru, why can't everybody pick mbc on w3a at night inspite of the fact that almost all of us are hooked to it?I think your explanation would give me a rethink about the debate. It is really educating.

olofofo,
It was really nice talking to you some hours ago.I am proud of you for discovering that your decoder could open jsc+1,2,3 and confirming it.Please keep it up.I am sure you are also enjoying la liga on the internet right now.

gangsta101,
I still dont understand why you dont pick mbc persia in kd of all places.mine is as high as 66% now in Ogun state, even 24/7 clear.

mide2008,
please come out of hibernation.I think the place is now sanitised and back with excitement especially with the Nilesat craze which is also your area of speciality just like badaru1.I am back,Enigma is also back so you too must get back. Please forget the roforofos that pissed you off. What do you think about the more dishes, better signal debate?and olofofo's discovery on starsat?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 7:21pm On Sep 29, 2008
all,
To all my learned and matured friends/members on this thread,I am really sorry for the hibernation.I had to prove that silence could be golden.Besides,I was prevailed upon by some of you to sheathe my sword which would have been dripping with blood if I had reacted to the pettiness and insults hauled at my person.I am sure some of you who decided to take sides with pettiness would be regretting your action by the time I open the pandora box.It goes beyond what you think. It is like asking Obasanjo why he still hates MKO Abiola,an animosity that started during their days at BBHS.He will never tell you even at gunpoint but some of us know.Yorubas have this adage 'anjuwon lo o se wi lejo, ija ilara o tan boro'.If you care to know more about the real reasons behind the insults, please mail me through toxnaija@gmail.com.I can't imagine some of us being termed members of a gang on this thread.I think the moderator would have to address this as I had to prevail on not less than 7 highly respected members of this imaginary gang not to react. They were spoiling for war. These are people I talk to with all respect. The only problem I have on this thread is the fact that I am very blunt, always the first to speak out the minds of others when every other person is being economical or diplomatic with the truth because they don't want to be insulted by people who ordinarily are not on the same wavelength with them.I really appreciate your humility and maturity.I am very good at reading people, even on the phone.I don't pretend, neither do I condone mediocrity and arrogance.I am SORRY for all the pains I have caused some of you in the process of fighting for a better and sanitised thread.I also want to say a big THANK YOU to you all for educating me and giving me more intelligence on DXing which has been a hobby ever since I discovered radio and satellite.I promise to be there for all those who believe in me,even on issues outside the forum. Please feel free to contact me directly as I would have to join others who watch events from a distance due to the ego-tripping on the thread.Lest I forget,I might be a bloody broadcaster/advert expert/mere scriptwriter as claimed in one of the insults hauled at me,remember that it is not everybody that will be given the opportunity to reach out to millions of Nigerians on radio and tv for 16 meritorious years after doing very well in  the sciences especially physics which is the foundation of satellite.Besides, empty barrels flaunt what they are yet to get.I can count over 5 masters degree holders on this thread, yet they are modest about it.I wonder what would have happened if some of us had the grace of being called by our first name by governors, commissioners, and senators.I will always thank God and appreciate fans for that.I have forever closed this chapter even if more insults are hauled. In fact,my colleagues don't want it to stop as they are enjoying the petty show which has made them to visit our thread everyday looking for more comedy. So,let's have more of it.Ojo to ro lo ko eyele po mo adie=It is the rain that brought the doves and chickens together.

onye-ngbu,
I  have learnt more lessons about human beings from what you wrote about me.In spite of your apology and the humour I brought into the altercation over grammar some weeks back, you still went ahead to write those crap. Why is it that you only send posts to this thread when you want to put petrol to a burning fire? That is very ungodly.I have consolation in the fact that God himself went through what I went through which made him to have his only regret. Please realise that on this thread we have all sorts of people in the society, yet we see ourselves as family.I have never for once believed in looking down on anybody on this forum or elsewhere yet some of us never see any reason to saying SORRY or THANK YOU at the appropriate time.I have forgiven you and Mercussey et al.I have no regret about the way God created me.I believe in touching more lives so I will always strive to speak when others are not.It drives away evildoers.Check this from Genesis 6:
The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

olofofo,
though it seems you have some reservations about me,I so much respect your knowledge base. The only pain I have is the fact that some of you don't care to get closer. You would have discovered how much I cherish your brain.I call a lot of people on this thread at least 4 times daily except they prove to me they are not what I thought they were.I will surely call you soon as I already have your numbers.I tried your findings on 0.8W,and got the same result.I am happy to tell you that I blindscanned just like Captainus and discovered some feeds belonging to e tv,South Africa.etv news channel which is not broadcast to us in west africa is available there. They also pick their news feeds from Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth there,Supersports can also be picked there but it is not reliable.I think we need to keep monitoring.

Captainus,
I am proud of U.I hope to visit you in Ghana next year.OSMI feeds can be scanned when there is free to air epl match or better still during UEFA champions league. Please use the first frequency. The other one belongs to VOA.

gangsta/obnelly,
thanks for the compliments and concern.I think you need to adjust the lnb.I am having very excellent signals on my Nilesat except for the weak CNN transponder and not too strong Showtime sports transponder. My BBC World fluctuates between 65 and 72,MBC Persia is currently 66,MBC1-4 is 76.On Saturday,I was able to get the 0.2db SHOP+ lnbf from a MYTV/DSTV dealer in Abeokuta after searching all over Lagos. He got it in a Dstv pack, and sold it to me for N2000.I am too tired to install it now but I should by weekend.I will report my findings after the installation. Many thanks to Pitodenz who suggested it.

twinstaiye/enigma/seuncyber,
Please take it easy with Seun.I had thought I was the only one who has a scathing tongue when people play on the intelligence of others.I think I told Seun last week to meet his neighbour who has been watching HITV for free, but he has added another dimension to it by flaunting the codes.Seun,if you know how to go about it,please mail it to members.I wont hesitate to come out of hibernation to join others in kicking you out if you decide to play God with the codes if you have them. This would help all the members as RDV is off except people who pick 2M maroc Nat on W6.They showed Everton v. Liverpool 12.45pm on Saturday.
Enigma, please mail me.It is very important.Might see you in a couple of weeks.

gofitech/hawkeye/arsenal1/ojofree,
long time no hear from Una wa for you oooo.I miss you all no be small.

Nilesaters,
ART is still on but SHOWTIME is off.My GSAT lnbf is still up for grabs for free.

badaru1,
Bravo!I am not surprised at all. Please dont forget your primary constituency-Nilesat.

all,
if you have constant high-speed internet access, please try to hook up to justin.tv for live matches on your pc.It has all the European leagues and competitions. You can also watch several news, sports, documentary and cartoon stations including Sky Sports. But  you need a reliable connection from your ISP,else it would be breaking.Just like what I have been advocating on this thread,I will never use you as 'guinea pigs'I HAVE TRIED IT AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY.I watched INTER v AC MILAN live on jsc+1 through justin.tv.After the match,I clicked on a Spanish la liga match which I also watched live.It is more reliable than waiting for Showtime keys and RDV.Please give your feedback.Regards to all.

AS NIGERIA CLOCKS 48,LET'S REMEMBER THAT THE ONLY VIRTUE MISSING IN OUR LIVES AS A NATION IS SELFLESSNESS.80% OF US ARE SELFISH,ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS OF ENRICHING OURSELVES AT THE EXPENSE OF THE NATION.NIGERIA GO SURVIVE.LET'S PONDER OVER IT NOW!

all,
OSMI feed for UEFA Champions league and premiership free to air matches, etc, on NSS703 C-band 57*East (3912 Vertical 2220).It is a closely guarded parameter amongst partner tv stations but I took the risk giving all c-band owners.I just got the new additional feed used for OSMI a few minutes ago.It is on 4055 vertical 25999 C-Band NSS 703.GOFITEC,Mide2008 and other C-band users, please note it.The signal strength is always around 56%.

Nilesaters,
Showtime/ART keys have been out since Thursday. Please enjoy it while it lasts.I watched all the Premiership matches live this weekend through Showtime Sports 1-4 and Showtime Maghreb.ART sports also show Uefa champions league. Please get a Nilesat system as RDV is out.Mide2008 informed me on Friday that there is a 0.2db ku band quad lnbf called GSAT which is stronger than Fuji.It is being used by two of his friends in Ibadan and Osogbo who were using Fuji on 3m dish.He is yet to find time to come down to lagos to get one for himself though he might not really need it as he has a 3.6m dish.According to him,the moment they installed the new lnbf, all the weak signals shot up by about 15%.Even the weak Showtime sports are now seen 24hrs a day instead of 18hrs.I went to Alaba Market almost immediately to get the wonder lnbf but lo and behold,it disappointed me as it was weaker than the Fuji and Strong. So,I had to return the Fuji on the Nilesat after spending 6hours troubleshooting it(1-7pm today).I saw hell before I could get it at Alaba.Just two sellers have it.Mide's friends got it at N2500 at Alaba but the guys insisted on collecting N3000.Fuji is now N2000 at Alaba while a digital satellite finder goes for N1300.Showtime and ART are the best on satellite for now.

badaru1/mide2008/Pitodenz/gangsta/Nilesat gurus,
what could have gone wrong with the GSAT lnbf inspite of the perfect parameters which worked perfectly for Fuji and Strong. The lnbf is working but it gives me 56% on BBC World while Fuji gives me 70%.What could have gone wrong with mine as the two other users of GSAT on 3m dish are really enjoying the boosted signals on it?

Folo,
I think I will drop the GSAT for you to try on your system. In case you cant make use of it,I would give it out to any other Nilesat user especially Obnelly to try.I think both of you need to adjust your fuji lnbf to get better signals especially with the keys now out.I checked your dish pix again, and found out that you need to bring down the lnbf a bit with the cable pointing towards the south east while facing the dish.I will try to get the pix of mine by next weekend.and finally

Enitan,
I really mean every bit of the word DISAPPOINTMENT.Why should you come up with a research and decide to use us as 'guinea pigs'?When you came up with the now controversial dvb-t/dvb-c topic,I told you about my skepticism about its availability at Alaba. You said you were 100% sure we will get the second hand there.I spent 2 hours at Alaba on Saturday morning looking for a dvb-c set that is out of circulation, even in the UK.You confirmed your confusion in your post yesterday by stating that it is very scarce in the UK,yet you made Linksman and I to waste valuable time at Alaba after giving the impression that we will find it there.Even, the Alaba guys were genuinely shocked to learn that somebody could fool me to believe I could find dvb-c recievers in the market. In fact,I saw a very small dvb-t somebody brought in from UK for sale.It looks like a photo camera. Please stop working on assumptions.A lot of the gurus expressed their reservations on this and other assumptions of yours. Please tender your apology to Linksman and others who went on a wild goose chase to Alaba. The next time you are working on a new discovery, please conclude it before announcing.Nothing stops you from going to the market to check for its availability instead of using us.My house is about 120km to Alaba while yours is less than 40km,yet you didnt go there to conclude your findings. On your argument with IWES,I think the guy is making some sense except for the yagi antenna being able to convert dvb-t to dvb-c.That got me confused.I think both of you should deliberate on it instead of flexing knowledge muscles.I am interested in seeing a breakthrough for cable users from both of you.I remember when mide2008 told me about GSAT,he specifically mentioned the fact that he saw it working excellently at his friends' residences and not his.He did the honourable thing.Even though I am yet to enjoy the GSAT I bought,he is not liable and still remains my pal.He is very reliable and always careful about his research as he tries hard to avoid altercations and controversy.oko Chioma,Please dont think I am lambasting you.I am just being blunt, speaking out my mind and that of some aggrieved senior gurus.Regards.

Cable users,
Yesterday,I got information from a pal who is the former manager of Discom cable satellite,Ikeja that their system is customised i.e.,their dvb-c receiver can not be tampered with just like DSTV decoder. You can get it from only the company and accredited agents.Besides, the company has a limited quantity of the decoder as it is being phased out in Europe where it is manufactured.Forget about geting any second hand at Alaba. You can now see the reason I felt bad about my Alaba trip on Saturday. The guy still makes jest of me over it.

Orokoyo,
please try Fuji lnbf or GSAT if you can get it in Abuja. You can make use of my 0.2db GSAT if you can hook up with me in Lagos before October. If it works fine, then keep it.

ENITAN,
I am really disappointed in you.I will tell you what you did when I return to the thread .on Sunday evening

Nilesaters,
all keys are out.

iwes,
see you on sunday
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 3:59pm On Sep 17, 2008
all,
Champions league show on e.tv-Sunday 11.35am
2M Maroc Nationale Eutelsat w6-Transworld sport,Futbol Mundial *Saturday11am-12noon/Chelsea v Man U. 1pm Sunday to be followed by Premier league show at 2.55pm.

seuncyber,
why not ask the guy what he did?We don't know him but you do.Let me warn you that Hitv has an agent who snoops around this thread. If he should catch you and the guy,he would skin you alive.I am interested if there is any breakthrough.

enitan,
what do you mean by 'Trend is still on in lagos but not in analog-terrestial like before but now digital-terrestial, but discom is now digital-cable Xmission.' With my little experience in broadcasting,I know all Cable transmissions are done through MMDS which sends signals from the mast to your yagi antenna and converted by your converter. So,where does terrestrial come in.Did you realise that your local television stations are the terrestrials?I think you mean to say analogue cable and digital cable. The difference between Discom and Trend is encryption.both are now digital cable but Trend is encrypted. How much does the second hand dvb-c decoder cost at Alaba?I could toy with it before I leave. My yagi antennae is still in the air.Vickoy should also give it a try.

Hawkeye,
I am really humbled by your apology.Sincerely,I had thought you would fire me another salvo, but you surprised me.Please keep it up.This shows why all of us need to think twice before we react to what others say.But you would not go without paying a fine of 10 bags of rice and 5 goats.Regards.

Pitodenz,
I will see what I can do about the pix before I leave.I have been extremely busy these days.

all Nilesat users,
ART and showtime keys have been off since Friday.I think they went off because of the champions league on ART Sports which started yesterday.

Gangstar,
the bird has just three ftas.2M Maroc is the only good station there. At least you are assured of one grade A match and the two other bonus shows every week. How is my adopted home,Zaria?I am looking forward to a holiday there soon, maybe with you.Regards.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 4:39pm On Sep 15, 2008
all,
did anyone pick GTV,Ghana at the weekend.I lost the signal.2M Maroc Nationale on Eutelsat W6 has sharper visuals for the premiership. It is far better than the foggy and noisy RDV signal. The only snag is that it shows just one star match weekly but with the premiership preview show before the match starts, and the review on Tuesday midnight.

Pitodenz/obnelly,
Nilesat could be very stubborn when you have a dish smaller than 3m anywhere in Southern Nigeria.Even with 3m dish, some weak signals disappear in the afternoon.I believe the dish size is the main problem because the location and lnbf are very good.I think obnelly should contact mide2008 for advice. He is also a Southern Nigeria Nilesat signal troubleshooter.I am sorry that I have been busy. Please bear with me.I will be free again in October.I will miss you all but I am definitely excited about meeting the great Enigma.

Hawkeye,
there we go againnnnn!I took the risk coming on board again.I was expecting this.I think you got me wrong. In fact,I am disappointed in you.Cant you see that I sympathised with you by offering that advice.I have never abused or cursed anyone even in annoyance.I dont know when this thread will regain its sanity and tranquility.I remember mentioning how much I detest insults. Please dont turn this wonderful place into a war zone.I am sure you are not a garage boy or an illiterate woman who would pick up quarrel with her husband and neighbours over every word they say. Please give it a try on this thread and see the reaction of the gurus and newbies.I am not eating my words-THIS THREAD IS FULL OF INTELLECTUALS discussing FTAs.We are always there for each other irrespective of status. We visit each other whenever we are free. You are always welcome. If you are still aggrieved, drop your number and I will call you.Are you satisfied?Regards.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by toxnaija: 10:22pm On Sep 14, 2008
Hawkeye,
please dont force me to come out of my sabattical blowing hot for you.I am sure you must have realised this thread is for intellectuals and not garage boys. Please watch what you write to people here even when they annoy. It is better to ignore than be ignored.

Seuncyber,
please read the posts as if you are studying for your exams and you will understand. The reoccuring questions piss off the gurus. All questions have been answered except new developments.

the gurus,
the thread is being turned into a dumb enclave as we are now experiencing all sorts of irrelevant queries.I hope some of us will not be forced to exit. The thread is being boycotted by the gurus as they are being inundated by the dumb queries. In fact,I refused to contribute because if i write what is on my mind, they will do more than abuse me.You remember the grammar debacle?I dont want any insult. On Daarsat, please no comment. All noise,no action. This is one of the reasons I refused to work for AIT/Raypower over the years.
RDV went blank for the Stokes/Everton match.

obnelly,
Let me commend your efforts on Nilesat. But I must warn you not to rejoice too much yet.You still need to learn a lot from the Nilesat gurus especially mide2008 and badaru1.Do you know about ART/PEHLA/SHOWTIME parameters?Have you heard about Fuji prime focus Lnb?It is the best for Nilesat.Mide2008 and I pick MBC1-4 signals with as high as 74% in the evening,BBC World 72,Showtime Today 86.Mide2008 is in Ilesha,Osun state while I am in Abeokuta/Lagos.I believe you need to work on some things to get better signals at your location.Which part of Ogun are you?

Enigma,
I hope to see you by the first week of October.I will arrive then.I look forward to meeting you.

all.
OSMI feed on NSS703 C-Band will show La-liga and free to air premiership this weekend. The frequency can be sourced from my past posts 2 or 3 pages back.
Please give 2M Maroc Nationale a try this weekend for premiership. It has the right to one grade A premiership match each weekend with the premiership highlights show at 00.20 midnight Monday/Tuesday,as well as the premiership preview show before the match. You can pick it only with 1.8m dish and above on Eutelsat W6 West African beam.It is different from 2M Monde on Nilesat and Atlantic Bird.

baba egun,
you must be a great baba sala/baba suwe/baba latin combined.you should have tried the fuji lnb nowwww.

all,
Channel O went off this morning but others are still on.I enjoyed a Ghanian movie on africamagic+ Darkness of sorrow featuring Nadia Buari AND VAN VICKER inspite of the fact that i hate its Nollywood-based counterpart Africamagic.
W6 can be picked on only 1.8m and above.the 2M Maroc Nat on it is different from 2M MarocMonde on Nilesat and Atlantic bird,so no premiership on these birds except W6.
Please comment on Enitan's discovery of Eurostar decoder. What are the pros and cons compared to Strong?Over to you fellow gurus.
Has anyone tried the OSMI feed on NSS703 C-band?free Spanish la liga and grade c premiership and highlights.
Spanish super cup running now on Supersport 5 W4 free. Are you watching?
folly,
how far with your Nilesat installation?

Graciousme,
I am stll expecting your call oooo.
