kingsways:It’s amazing how many of you Igbos are irredeemably stvpid. Ikwerre is not Igbo you can not force it. |
cedricksly:Funny thing is that it is his type that will always tell anyone “go to Dubai…why can’t our City be like Dubai…..” and so on even though dem never leave their village for once. |
gidgiddy:Bwahahaha Uche Okwukwu is ‘a well respected Ikwerre lawyer’ for ipads ![]() Someone that can’t even convince his own siblings that they are Igbo. Tell him to try hosting your ohanaeze meeting in his father’s compound in Elele as a proof of his Igbo identity. FYI Uche Okwukwu is only representing his mother’s Umuahia people and not Ikwerre. |
Christistruth00:They like telling their stories from the middle because that’s the only way to be seen as the ‘victims’ |
BrodaBenad:Firstly, you could not even spell Obio Akpor so I assume you are in one okpa shop in Abakpa typing none sense. Your miserable parents that told you about‘abandoned property’ forgot to tell you that they were brazen thieves who were stealing other peoples land and developing same with stolen government money. They were sharing government money as ‘loan’ never to be repaid, only to Igbo people through ACB. Go tell them to tell you the truth.

Razgas:Just take your fable to your ipi.g newsfeed because that is where it would be swallowed hook, line and sinker. Ikwerre at no time in history ever identified as Igbo. Ikwerre in 1958 before independence, was at Willinks commission along with other minority ethnic groups to demand that they did not want to remain in the same region with Igbo people. In 1965 two years before the war, Ikwerre people made what is today called 'the Rumuomasi declaration' where they also clearly stated that they are not Igbo. At the onset of the war, Ikwerre leaders were among the minority ethnic groups that sent a delegation to Ojukwu to make it clear that their desire for a separate region from Igbo people had not changed. Ikwerre has never being Igbo before, during and after the war. You can only continue fabricating stories but it is only only your igbo people that will buy as it it can not change anything. |
gidgiddy:Nobody is saying that Igbo people residing in Rivers State can or should not celebrate in Portharcourt but you cross the line when your national body go to another man’s territory to celebrate your ‘fallen heroes’ while also calling the place your ‘Igboland’. It is a back door to extending your ipig agenda to Ikwerre land and it is unacceptable. Go and celebrate your fallen heroes in your Igboland and leave Portharcourt alone. |
Omowale2023:Ikwerre just celebrated their Ikwerre day in the UK not long ago so nothing wrong in my opinion if Igbo people that reside in Portharcourt celebrate their culture in Portharcourt but you cross the line when your National leadership go to another person’s land to honour their ‘fallen heroes’ as they claimed and also calling the place ’Igbo land’. You Igbos are averse to peaceful environment but it is important that you constrain your toxic attitude and avoidable problems within your Igbo land. You can not force anyone to be be Igbo and you must learn to respect your hosts. If any place is Igboland let the indigenes say so not some miserable clo.wns from Ezza, Umuahia, Awka etc pointing at another man’s land as Igboland. |

Wodu89:Can’t you read? The issue happened in October 2020. What is the poster trying to achieve? |
Spiff20:The truth is that Ikwerre never identified nor traced their ancestry to Igbo so the issue of ‘denying ancestry’ doesn’t even exist. It is Igbo people that have been peddling this ‘denying ancestry’ BS. It is even some Igbo people that I have heard that claim to have migrated from Ikwerre like the Awara and some Ngwa people so their ancestry should be Ikwerre and not the other way round. There are similarities in some Ikwerre dialects with some Igbo dialects, but it doesn’t give Igbo the right to claim that Ikwerre speak ‘their language’ or are Igbo speaking’. How about they being ‘Ikwerre speaking’? All over the world there are similarities in languages even in Nigeria. In the North, many ethnic groups up to the Tiv people share similar words with the Hausa but you never see the Hausa people forcing their identity on them. A tribe called Gwandara trace their lineage to Hausa but today are a totally different ethnic group and the Hausa people respect that. But Igbo people think they have the right to tell people who they are or should be. Ikwerre along with the other minority groups in the South together told the British government before independence and the Federal government after independence that they didn’t want to remain in the same region with Igbo people. They wouldn’t do that if they were Igbos. When Igbo people were running and pillaging the defunct Eastern regional government, Ikwerre people still didn’t identify as Igbo. The truth is that many of them don’t even see Ikwerre as Igbo. Ikwerre people suffered the same fate like other minorities in their hands during the war but chose to move on while they are the ones that keep fabricating stories and dishing out half truths and outright lies every day and night, feeding their children with diets of hatred for Ikwerre people. It is only when they want to do their biafra that they start forcing their identity on others thinking it gives them the right to include them in their imaginary country regardless of wether they are consulted or not. They couldn’t do that in 1967 when they were the only ones with guns which they used to kill and incarcerate many Ikwerre elites. Now in 2023 every one now has access to guns and other firepower, they are thinking they could do it. Intact, they can’t even attempt most of the atrocities they committed against Ikwerre people before and during the war in 1967. Let them keep foooling themselves. |
BlackAdam65:You sound very i.diotic calling people who are not Igbo ‘Igbo speaking’ . You think you can tell people who or where their ancestors come from, just by sitting inside that your canoe. You are a very sill.y and ugl. y person. |
Eastlink: Abagworo:Dreamers dream on.. Munmun Igboid has activated his ‘Eastlink’ moniker today. There’s nothing like “Ikwerre Igboland” Ikwerre Iwhuorohna people are not Igbo. Focus on your Igboland and leave Ikwerreland alone. Ikwerre people know you guys operate at the level of Prospero so they see your puerile claims as comical especially knowing that Prospero’s dreams never come to pass. |
Abagworo:Mr man remove Portharcourt from that your alaigbo nonsense. Ona no dey tire? |
You still dey count Portharcourt as ’Igboland’? It shows your comical delusion is unending. At no time was Portharcourt‘ ‘originally called Igweocha’. Igbo people nicknamed Portharcourt igweocha same way they call Kano, Kaduna etc Igwuawusa, Europe and America as obodo oyibo but why they don’t include these places as ‘Igboland’ is what I don’t get. If your ipod primitive and criminal activities of butchering, cannibalism and shit at home has not shown you where your Igboland begins and ends, I don’t know what will. Anyway, fantasy is free after all. |
Ugualala:It’s an order from the court that allows some of your income to be taken directly from your account due to debts owed or some claims by someone or institution. Eg. If your ex wife reports you to the court for not paying child support, they could garnish your accounts such that, the money is taken directly out of your account without your permission. |
mrvitalis:Mr. ipig when Wike bring fight come, didn’t you run away like a ekuke with your tail in between your legs? Bring that your rag anywhere near Rivers State again mek ya body tell you. |
Racoon:Ipi.g Wike will not fight your imaginary war with Fulani for you. Continue churning our fake news... |
Could be true but coming from Peoples gazette ipi.g news vendor makes it a verified fake news. |
successmatters:This can only come from ipi.gs and obi.dunces. so predictable. |
Enugupikin:Keep quiet there. NDLEA always parade your drug kingpins with a poster bearing their names, State of origin and local government area. Is that not why you people were calling for the abolition of State of Origin and the adoption of State of Resident? Those your Igbo drug lords will now be parading 'Rivers resident' 'Lagos resident' 'Kano resident' etc. Be looking for how you will spread the burden of your criminality instead of changing your rotten values. |
Whalis:They are just very shameless and repulsive. They think that claiming another tribe as Igbo gives them the right to include them in their biafra whether or not they are consulted. Never seen people who are so myopic and hateful. They want people that will join in bearing the consequences of their toxicity, criminality and all manner of despicable behaviour they keep showcasing everywhere. |
maticar:How old is Ifeanyi Ubah? Have you not seen his recent pictures? You bigoted clowns. |
gidgiddy:Wether Ngwa, Abakiliki, Abiriba or whoever is Igbo or not is not for me to say. If they describe themselves as Igbo, then I refer to them as Igbo. People tell you who they are and not you telling others who they are or you think they should be. Some dialects of Ikwerre language may have similarities to Igbo like there are among many other ethnic groups like Hausa, Tiv, Gwandara, Jokun, Chamba, etc but no tribe has a right to force their identity on others. |
hammerT:Mr Olo.do mun.mun calling someone a dunce. You do not even know what Anglo Saxon means but come online to expose your emptiness. Anglo Saxons are those English people (not all of them) that trace their lineage to the Germans and Scandinavians who migrated to the present day England many centuries ago. Ode nla English is not "a Germanic tribe" otherwise they would be called Germans and not English. You are just an intellectual of ipi.g saw dust factory. |
gidgiddy:It is only when people are unrepentantly ignorant, shallow minded and extreemely desperate that they sound the way you do and unfortunately, over 80% of Igbo people sound like you. Ikwerre language is not an Igbo dialect unless you want us to believe that Igbo language is a dialect of Ikwerre or maybe even Yoruba. All over the world, there are similarities in languages but it doesn't give any people the right to claim that other people's language is yours. Unfortunately for you folks, you can not change the fact that Ikwerre is one of the over 300 Ethnic groups recognised in Nigeria. You may get yourself a little enlightened with the similarities in various languages as shown below, maybe it would help get you out of your delusion. YOU DON'T TELL PEOPLE WHO THEY ARE, RATHER PEOPLE TELL YOU WHO THEY ARE AND, YOU TELL THEM WHO YOU ARE. You are not Ikwerre so it's time you start talking about who you are, and leave them to tell their own story. German and English (in bracket) Apfel (apple), tanzen (dance), denken (think), hoffen (to hope), helfen (to help), Herz (heart), Käse (cheese), zehn (ten), besser (better), essen (to eat), Wasser (water), Tochter (daughter). Vater (father), Bruder (brother), Milch (milk), Freund (friend), Buch (book), Garten (garden). Telefon (telephone), Delfin (dolphin), Lampe (lamp) and Krokodil (crocodile) French Spanish Italian un uno uno deux dos due trois tres tre quart cuatro quattro cinq cinco cinque six seis sei sept siete sette huit ocho otto neuf nueve nove dix diez dieci Yoruba words similar to Igbo Okuta = stone Akpo = bag or sack Enu = Mouth Ile = ground Imu = Nose Eti = ear Ewure =goat Ile/Ule =House Apoti = box rooster= akuko Iba= fever Ko= Crow gbongbo =root Eru = Slave Orisa = deity/god Gbo = hear Agbon= chin Afefe= wind Ibi= here/place Egbe= coeval/age group/mate |
edogu:His father’s name is Gulder and I’m not joking 😀. Don’t know if he’s still alive but he was clan chief in Bayelsa in early 2000s, and had issues with then Gov Alamayiesigha along with his son Heineken. |
Anyone who tames ipi.gs and ob.idenses could tame anything. |
