This is not an issue of sham marriages and/or shady study POF. This is the whites once again showing their disdain and showing you that they can spit in your face all they want. There are two clear issues, which are valid but it is still of their own design.

Ironically, this is being championed by someone who is from an immigrant household.

First issue is they say una immigrants dey unskilled. Yep, all ye top people going to do care jobs are unskilled as far as the UK is concerned. How? You all aren't contributing enough to the GDP to justify your presence. Immigrants have to do 17x extra to get good jobs with good salary in UK standards, not naira conversion. Meaning whatever taxes you think you are paying now is not significant enough. The population is increasing due to the influx, but GDP per capita is reducing because the influx are not contributing enough to the economy due to the fact that they are in unskilled low level jobs. This is a fact, but like I said it is their own design.

Second issue, that concerns Nigerians negatively is that bar chart that was in the news last week or so. That bar chat is like a flashing neon light screaming 'these Nigerians need serious attention'. We aren't the highest number of immigrants but we have the overwhelmingly highest student-dependednt ratio, basically 1:1, while other that have almost x7 of student population have like ratio 9:1 and even higher. That is LOUD and warrant attention by any analyst. So, you see, another fact, but this one is not totally of their design, but can I blame the Nigerians who are moving their families along with them, because their true purpose of travelling wasn't studying? I would be called a bad belle if I said that, but ask yourslef if it is a lie. It is clear to them that Nigerians particularly aren't really coming for study.

Two things will happen now. One, they will still make admissions easy, but post-study will be limited to only specific fields, skills, experiences. Everyone else gets 6mth to a year PSW, after which failure to get job sponsorship, you're out. Second, they will cap the number of dependants that can come to 1 (they may limit this to just Nigeria). This will put a lot of people in a dilemma. Family man wey get wife and two children, who will be the dependent??.

this is sad. You need to do a lot of reformative work on that child. You need to be very watchful and prayerful. Pedophiles make other pedohiles, gays make other gays. He needs to be made to understand he has been abused, needs to understand what happened to him wasn't natural or normal. They say “over familiarity breeds contempt” that’s what I have noticed with Nigerians that think they know everything in the UK. So there are countries you can go as a student and get jobs as bank managers, Lead consultants, Construction supervisors, Warehouse Managers, head of departments etc whilst studying or as someone who just relocated and not on work sponsored visa? They are even lucky to have jobs to put a roof over there heads as students.

The care giver or healthcare support worker whatever you guys call it is a crowd mentality syndrome for Nigerians, that’s where they know someone that can easily link them to a quick job to do are working. To them is easier to do those jobs and study and probably can get lots of hours as per shift to earn money.

Nigerians are not the only international students in the UK, they don’t even make up to 10% of the UK international students population but most of them prefer to do care jobs as that’s the niche they’ve carved out for themselves. Most non African students prefer working in the retail, hospitality, Takeaways etc. They are not the best jobs but earn a living for themselves and even send money back home to families. Heard some even pay their school fees doing some of those jobs.

In the end some would get better jobs, some would settle for less, others might have to return to Nigeria. That’s life do whatever makes you happy.

most things with Nigerians na usu crowd mentality. No surprises there. Ppl shd do whatever makes them happy for sure. I was only speaking for myself and my thoughts about the issue. Also, most of those contacts of mine are the dependents not even the students, and like Poco said, there is also a pattern where the man is the dependent and the wife the student (I guess for the man to be the one earning more). Which was why I told my wife if she would be willing to be the dependent while I the student. 40-60 hours a week doing what doesn't make me happy is very different from 20hrs a week. Someone I know said he went to the UK once and out of like 10 Nigerians, not up to 2 were doing something they could say with their full chest. The problem is, when you point this out, they start fighting themselves (not me). They think it is an attack on them, rather than an attack on the British system.

I tire o. Always taking it personal. My wife earlier in the year started drumming the japa thing in my ear. One day I sat her down and analysed it just like this. I told her clearly that I have no intention of doing those jobs, but we can almost certainly expect that will be the reality for 1-2years (you don't plan these things with 'i have two heads my case is different' scenarios abi). Ideally, I have higher qualifications than her, so she should be the student in ideal circumstances, but as I no com dey game for these kin circumstances nko bayi. I now asked madam say is she willing to do that while me (as I no fit do am lai-lai) should be the student? She no bring am up since then o.. Lol.
