Fun fact the double wishbone actually gives unparalleled balance by virtue of the design, but that pulling off is the achilles heel of that design, which is as a matter of fact compunded by our bad roads, cos this makes the moving joints wear out faster.

It is a basic african bush snake. Egusishakly correctly identified it in the thread below. That is the same snake OP''s wife killed..non venomous, doesn't have the coloration of a boomslang, and it has same black mouth as this. If after googling this, you still think that snake is a green mamba or boomslang, well, then u dey whine yasef.

the take home here is green mamba's do not have black mouths. That is most likely one of these non-venomous green snakes. Also, mamba's are super fast. Unless you are a pro, with protective gear, you would most likely be struck more than once by a mamba if you face that animal with just a stick, without lightning fast reflexes to back it up.
