Christianity EtcRe: Td Snakes, Eddie Long Dong, Creflo Naira, Oledepo, Pastor Tithe, Rev Moola by truthislight: 6:01pm On Sep 19, 2012
obadiah777: mmkayyyy wink . WHEREVER THE CARCASE IS, THEIR WILL THE EAGLE BE. what does an eagle do ? it swoops down on the dead carcasses and eats. this is what an eagle does. eagles are predatory birds. This is why the lord uses the eagle as a symbolic reference. now there will be two eras on this earth. the GENTILE era, in which the gentile nations are given a chance to rule the world ( this is the era we are in now ). And the righteous era which will be established in the future in which the saints will rule ( daniel 7 vs 18 ) ( daniel 2 vs 44 ).

the gentile era is a wicked era because the gentiles are godless people ( job 9 vs 24 ). The gentiles are controlled by their satanic spirits for the most part and the strongest of the gentile nation is extra godless ( hebrews 12 vs 16 and 17 ). so as such in the gentile era the predators will mostly be the gentiles coupled with a few strong demonic israelites but mostly gentiles. these will be the eagles of the gentile era. the gentiles and demonically strong israelites. and people with strong satanic spirits have power over people with dead spirits. dont ask me why, it is just how the lord has designed it ( hebrews 2 vs 14 ).

who are the people with dead spirits in the gentile era ? the israelites ( so called black and the hispanics of south central and north america ( they are really black people but they are mixed with chinese and spanish. the heritage is determined by the seed of the father as such those people are diluted black people ). and why are they the people with dead spirits ? because the time of their salvation has gone. they had their time of salvation but they messed up big time. so the lord picked 144,000 of them and spiritually killed the rest of them ( romans 11 vs 7 ) and after spiritually killing the rest of them he picked delusions for them to believe in ( isaiah 66 vs 4 ) ( 2 thessalonians 2 vs 11 ). delusions like juju, atheism, obatala, orisha, santamaria etc etc. then he handed salvation to the gentiles ( romans 11 vs 11 ). and hence we are in the gentile era and all the gentiles are spiritually alive ( which is why every gentile country looks better than any israelite country ), the gentiles are spiritually alive because this is their turn to bring forth righteous seed. the israelites have had their turn and the ones who did not make it have been spiritually killed ( romans 11 vs 7 ).

so what do we have now ? those of the gentiles who are satanically inclined will have power over the dead israelites and this is a spiritual thing because the satanically inclined amongst them know the power they have over the dead. this is why they make their country emblems the EAGLE and any country they feed on, they stamp EAGLE on them ( like nigeria for example was given the eagle by britain when they were feeding on us which they still are ). so the satanically inclined amongst the gentiles are the eagles feeding on the dead israelites which is why you had the scramble for africa, colonialism, unfair trade, slavery, several massacres in west africa such as king leopold of belgium massacering the congolese. these are the eagles feeding on the carcase ( spiritually dead israelites ). however amongst the israelites are also satanically inclined ones who will feed on the dead of their own people. this is what is meant by WHERE THE CARCASE IS THERE WILL THE EAGLE BE. now when christ returns ? christ will be the eagle feeding on the spiritually dead which will then be the gentiles because those amongst them who are righteous would have been chosen and the rest of them will have their spirit killed. then christ will feed on the ones ( gentiles ) who have had their spirits killed in the lake of fire and burning sulphur ( suffering )
NA WOW!

There is hope. We just have to build on that and increase the momentum.
We are the future.

I had no doubts that Anony is decent guy, though suffering from the stockholm syndrome. Lol grin

I would dread to meet Enigma. This guy seems to have a thing for me.
I am just trying to picture in my mind what a face to face meeting with him would be like.
First I would have to make sure my life insurance policy is duly paid up, have 911 on speed dial, no voice dialing, pack some heat myself in case it turns into a shootout, and then I could find out what he is fond of and take it with me as peace offering
is he that dengerouse?

Anyway, enigma can speak for himself.

MacDaddy01: Jesoul? Seriously? She is cool but not funny.

Why am I not even there sef?
yea! she sure does have a very good sense of humor.

You are not there because of the criteria "humorous".

If it is ten(10) top "debaters" on NL then that is a diferent thing.

Is there any among the list that you feel your sense of humor superseeds?

Ofcouse if the list is expanded it will accomodat more names.

Let me attempt my top 10 debaters on NL religion section, no, 10 will be very difficult and tight. Say 15 or 20.

No, No, no, lol. It is not going to be an easy thing to do.

This is not as easy as picking for "humor"

the criteria has to be well defined, and the time/duration has to be stated.
I red the post of one Buda Atom, though he is not around in recent time, yet he was good.

So, "top 10"? It cant be exclusive, it Can only be a "favourite" list.

It is good to build ones idea constructively, though it may not be the "fact" at the end of the day.

However, On this, i will list as many a name as possible and definitely "NOT" on a "top" basis, but randomly.

Blablabalabalabalblablbla stop!
@macdady

i cant. If you wish go ahead then.

Christianity EtcRe: Muhammad Versus Jesus Christ by truthislight: 11:26am On Sep 19, 2012
frosbel: The TOP 20 Differences between Jesus and Mohammed

01.  Jesus was born of a virgin.
Mohammed was born in the normal way.

In the Bible the prophet Isaiah predicts the virgin birth [Isa 7:14] and Davidic lineage [Isa 11:1], the prophet Micah predicts his origins are “from ancient times” and he will be born in Bethlehem [Mic 5:2] and then Jesus’ disciple, Matthew confirms the virgin birth. [Matt 1:18-25]
That Mohammed was born in the normal way is confirmed by ibn Hisham pp 68-69.

02.  Jesus served God even as a small child
Mohammed worshipped idols until he was 41yo.

Jesus received instruction on scripture from age 12 in the Temple. [Luke 2:39-52]
Mohammed, born circa 570AD was an idolater until he received his first revelation circa 611AD aged about 41 years. [Bukhari vol 6 p452]

03.  Jesus read the Bible, even from an early age.
        Mohammed was illiterate.

The Bible in many places tells of Jesus reading from scripture in the Temple, whereas the Quran describes Mohammed as illiterate. [Q7.157]

04.  Jesus obeyed God and preached the Gospel and lived on donations.
Mohammed, without being commanded by Allah, began to steal and acquired booty.

Jesus both taught the Gospel at God’s command [Luke 4:16-21] and survived on the generosity of supporters. [Luke 8:1-3] Mohammed however, without any divine commandment, began to steal from others and live on stolen goods. [ibn Hisham pp 281-]

05.  Jesus taught that the MEEK will inherit the earth.
Mohammed taught that through TERROR you will inherit the earth.

In one of the most beautiful and moving passages in the Bible, Jesus teaches “blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” and “blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God”. [Beatitudes Matt 5:2-12]

Mohammed teaches the opposite and claims “I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy)” [Bukhari 4.220]  And from the Quran “I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." [Q8.12]

06.  Jesus performed miracles.
       Mohammed could NOT perform miracles.

From the New Testament, Jesus performed dozens of miracles, the first being at the wedding in Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. [John 2:1-11] At the Last Supper, Jesus made a new and everlasting covenant with bread and wine which represents the body and blood of Christ. [Matt 26:26-29]
Mohammed however banned wine! Neither did Mohammed perform miracles. [Q29.50]
.
07.  Jesus made those who were blind to see.
Mohammed made those who could see to be blind.

Jesus healed a blind beggar near Jericho. [Luke 18:35-43]
Mohammed put out the eyes of prisoners so they lost their sight. [Bukhari 8.794]

08.  Jesus made those who were lame to walk.
Mohammed made those who could walk to be lame.

Jesus healed a paralysed man lying on a bed. [Matt 9:2-8]
Mohammed made those who could walk to be lame. [Bukhari 8.794]

09.  Jesus healed withered hands.
       Mohammed cut off hands.

Jesus healed a man with a withered hand in a synagogue. [Matt 12:9-13]
Mohammed cut off the hands of others [Bukhari 8.795] and now it is enshrined in Sharia Law.

10.  Jesus saved an adulterous woman from stoning.
       Mohammed stoned women for adultery.
javascript:void(0);
Jesus came upon a woman accused of adultery, who was to be stoned, and he said to the crowd “let he who is without sin cast the first stone” and so banned this practise. [John 8:1-11]
About 600 years later, Mohammed practised stoning and it is legal under Sharia Law for Muslims.

.  Jesus raised the dead back to life.
Mohammed caused those who had life to be dead.

Jesus raised Lazarus to life from his tomb near Bethany. [John 11:17-44]
Mohammed killed the living [ibn Hisham p308] and of course took part in beheading Jews of the Banu Quraiza tribe. [Q33:25-27] Mohammed participated in about 29 battles.

12.  Jesus forgave his opponents.
       Mohammed murdered his opponents.

Jesus forgave the sinner crucified beside him on Calvary. [Luke 23:42-43]
Mohammed however had his opponents murdered. [Bukhari  vol 5, pp 248-]

13.  Jesus set the condemned free.
Mohammed condemned the free and set them into slavery.Slavery

Jesus set the condemned free, like the woman accused of adultery. [John 8:1-11]
Mohammed condemned free men captured in battle and put them into slavery. [ibn Hisham p466]
Slavery is legal in all four schools of Islamic Sharia Law and is still practised today.

14.  Jesus taught to store up treasures in Heaven.
Mohammed taught to store up booty on Earth.

Jesus tells a rich man who had kept the Ten Commandments that he was to sell all he owned and give to the poor to store up treasures in Heaven. [Luke 18:18-25]
Mohammed stored up booty taken in battle and divided it up among his followers, with one fifth going to Allah’s apostle.

15.  Jesus preached for a one man-one woman marriage and against polygamy.
Mohammed allowed men to have four wives, temporary marriages as well as concubines.

Jesus taught that “a man shall leave his father and be joined to his wife and they will become ONE flesh.
[Ephesians 5:21-33]
Mohammed allowed up to 4 wives, as well as concubines, or “what your right hand possesses”.

[Q4.3] Mohammed also condoned “temporary” marriages, such as Muta ( temporary marriage for pleasure) and Misyar (traveller’s marriage) to suit people with independent lives.

16.  Jesus preached against divorce.
Mohammed made divorce easy for men but NOT for women.

Jesus gives strict conditions on divorce, citing unchastity as grounds for divorce. [Matt 5:31-32]
Mohammed permits a man to divorce his wife merely by uttering three times “you are divorced”, and the wife doesn’t even have to be present. Text messages can do the trick in today’s electronic age.

17.  Jesus taught that in Heaven people would be “as angels” and not marry.
Mohammed said that men in Heaven enjoy endless intimacy with virgins.

Jesus said that in Heaven that people wont marry or be given in marriage and that they will be “as angels” [Matt 22:30], whereas Mohammed promised endless intimacy for men with many virgins. [Q55:54-78]

Paradise
Mohammed’s vision of Heaven for men

18.  Jesus was sinless.
       Mohammed was sinful.

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus by his actions is sinless, and is confirmed here. [John 8:46]
Throughout the Quran and Hadith, Mohammed broke most of the Ten Commandments of Moses.

19.  Jesus predicted his death and resurrection many times.
Mohammed had no idea and died unexpectedly of a suspected poisoning.

Jesus predicted his own death and resurrection three times while he was still with his disciples. First in Matthew 16:21, then in Matthew 17:22-23 and thirdly in Matthew 20:17-19.
Mohammed however, had no knowledge of his pending death and died unexpectedly, suspecting he may have been poisoned. [Bukhari vol 5, p510]

20.  Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and ascended into Heaven.
Mohammed was buried on the third day in Medina and is still in his grave.

All 4 Gospels of the New Testament report both the crucifixion [Matt 27:33-44] and resurrection of Jesus after 3 days. [Matt 28:1-10]  The Quran denies the crucifixion [Q4.157], but also allows it. [Q19:33]
Mohammed was buried in Medina 3 days after his death. [Tabari vol 9, p208]

Conclusion
From the above 20 examples, it is abundantly clear that Mohammed is in no way equal to Jesus, and actually opposed the teachings of Jesus, twisting and distorting his message of LOVE and TOLERANCE into a message of HATE and INTOLERANCE.

I can only imagine the anguish in Heaven as they watch Palestinian children dressed up in army clothes and brandishing weapons, proclaiming they will DIE for Allah, as their proud parents watch on.

It is worth restating the obvious DIFFERENCE between God and Allah.

The God of Jesus sent HIS Son to die for YOU.

The God of Mohammed demands that YOU send YOUR Son to die for HIM.

The time is rapidly approaching when all of us who haven’t joined the Ummah, will have to make a choice, so I hope this little summary will be of benefit in understanding fundamental differences between Christianity and Islam.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Science More Accurate Than The Bible? by truthislight: 12:32pm On Sep 18, 2012
TalkingBird: The Bible does not just contain stories and myths.
HARMONIOUS AND ACCURATE
The Bible was written over a 1,600-year period. Its writers lived at different times and came from many walks of life. Some were farmers, fishermen, and shepherds. Others were prophets, judges, and kings. The Gospel writer Luke was a doctor. Despite the varied backgrounds of its writers, the Bible is harmonious from beginning to end.
The first book of the Bible tells us how mankind’s problems began. The last book shows that the whole earth will become a paradise, or garden. All the material in the Bible covers thousands of years of history and relates in some way to the unfolding of God’s purpose. The harmony of the Bible is impressive, but that is what we would expect of a book from God.
The Bible is scientifically accurate. It even contains information that was far ahead of its time. For example, the book of Leviticus contained laws for ancient Israel on quarantine and hygiene when surrounding nations knew nothing about such matters. At a time when there were wrong ideas about the shape of the earth, the Bible referred to it as a circle, or sphere. (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible accurately said that the earth ‘hangs on nothing.’ (Job 26:7) Of course, the Bible is not a science textbook. But when it touches on scientific matters, it is accurate. Is this not what we would expect of a book from God?
The Bible is also historically accurate and reliable. Its accounts are specific. They include not only the names but also the ancestry of individuals. In contrast to secular historians, who often do not mention the defeats of their own people, Bible writers were honest, even recording their own failings and those of their nation. In the Bible book of Numbers, for instance, the writer Moses admits his own serious error for which he was severely reproved. (Numbers 20:2-12) Such honesty is rare in other historical accounts but is found in the Bible because it is a book from God.
A BOOK OF PRACTICAL WISDOM
Because the Bible is inspired of God, it is “beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.” (2 Timothy 3:16) Yes, the Bible is a practical book. It reflects a keen understanding of human nature. No wonder, for its Author, Jehovah God, is the Creator! He understands our thinking and emotions better than we do. Furthermore, Jehovah knows what we need in order to be happy. He also knows what pathways we should avoid.
Consider Jesus’ speech called the Sermon on the Mount, recorded in Matthew chapters 5 to 7. In this masterpiece of teaching, Jesus spoke on a number of topics, including the way to find true happiness, how to settle disputes, how to pray, and how to have the proper view of material things. Jesus’ words are just as powerful and practical today as they were when he spoke them.
Some Bible principles deal with family life, work habits, and relationships with others. The Bible’s principles apply to all people, and its counsel is always beneficial. The wisdom found in the Bible is summarized by God’s words through the prophet Isaiah: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit yourself.”—Isaiah 48:17.
A BOOK OF PROPHECY
The Bible contains numerous prophecies, many of which have already been fulfilled. Consider an example. Through the prophet Isaiah, who lived in the eighth century B.C.E., Jehovah foretold that the city of Babylon would be destroyed. (Isaiah 13:19; 14:22, 23) Details were given to show just how this would happen. Invading armies would dry up Babylon’s river and march into the city without a battle. That is not all. Isaiah’s prophecy even named the king who would conquer Babylon—Cyrus.—Isaiah 44:27–45:2.
Some 200 years later—on the night of October 5/6, 539 B.C.E.—an army encamped near Babylon. Who was its commander? A Persian king named Cyrus. The stage was thus set for the fulfillment of an amazing prophecy. But would the army of Cyrus invade Babylon without a battle, as foretold?
The Babylonians were holding a festival that night and felt secure behind their massive city walls. Meanwhile, Cyrus cleverly diverted the water of the river that flowed through the city. Soon the water was shallow enough for his men to cross the riverbed and approach the walls of the city. But how would Cyrus’ army get past Babylon’s walls? For some reason, on that night the doors to the city were carelessly left open!
Regarding Babylon, it was foretold: “She will never be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let their flocks lie down there.” (Isaiah 13:20) This prophecy did more than predict a city’s fall. It showed that Babylon would be desolated permanently. You can see evidence of the fulfillment of these words. The uninhabited site of ancient Babylon—about 50 miles [80 km] south of Baghdad, Iraq—is proof that what Jehovah spoke through Isaiah has been fulfilled: “I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation.”—Isaiah 14:22, 23.
Considering how the Bible is a book of reliable prophecy is faith strengthening, is it not? After all, if Jehovah God has fulfilled his past promises, we have every reason to be confident that he will also fulfill his promise of a paradise earth. (Numbers 23:19) Indeed, we have “hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting.”—Titus 1:2.
“THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE”
From what we have considered in this chapter, it is clear that the Bible is truly a unique book. Yet, its value extends far beyond its internal harmony, scientific and historical accuracy, practical wisdom, and reliable prophecy. The Christian apostle Paul wrote: “The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.”—Hebrews 4:12.
Reading God’s “word,” or message, in the Bible can change our life. It can help us to examine ourselves as never before. We may claim to love God, but how we react to what his inspired Word, the Bible, teaches will reveal our true thoughts, even the very intentions of the heart.
The Bible truly is a book from God. It is a book that is to be read, studied, and loved. Show your gratitude for this divine gift by continuing to peer into its contents. As you do so, you will gain a deep appreciation of God’s purpose for mankind.

OLAADEGBU: Are you dropping them so soon? What's the difference between you and Charles Taze Russel? He got disenfranchised with Bible doctrines such as the hell fire, immortality of the soul, and trinity that he then hooked up with the SDA before forming his own organisation which is now known as JW's. He is your bedfellow just as his followers are supporting you today. You can see from the videoclip that he was a Mason which qualifies his organisation as a cult. So you might be on your way to forming your own cult if you haven't formed one already.
i dont think you even know when you tell lies.

The person you just mention was not a mason or what you call someone.

The JW follow the bible and that is the truth.

Why are you resorting to blackmail?

The person you just mention is he christ?

How confuse you are.
Simply follow the bible and have peace of mind and come to know real peace.

Kay 17: What is the possible consequence of a stagnant Sun to Earth, other than nothing, thus betraying Joshua's ignorance of astronomy.
no, rather, your own ignorance.

The man needed to see and ensure that the battle was conclusive.

What that needed to stop was the spinning of the earth on it axis so that the battle ground will continue to face the sun.

But since the bible was and is not a science text book but was written for all mankind to read and make sense of, then the choices of words used in the bible for ease of understanding by "all sort" of people.

Read the bible first so that when you speak you will be saying as an informed person.
Peace.

CrazyMan: Ummmmm...he would not come.

Your replies most especially number 5 and 6 to our terms and conditions are unsatisfactory. Therefore as the public relations officer of the Nairaland christian fellowship, I shall be plain to you what we've concluded on.

We've come to a conclusion that since its very impossible for you to state your demands, we have decided to boycott the debate, pending when you would play the honesty role and be more straight with us.

mkmyers45: From our long term contentions on this forum i besiege you to come and hence show us that which is absolutely true and since you claim privy to such knowledge...I indulge you to come and in plain words show us the truth in relation to the christian God and his word

Assumptions for the basis of argument:

- There is a God/Source/Maker etc etc

- This said God is the God of the whole bible

Hence i begin with three questions that are beginning for definitions:

- Who is a true christian?

- What is Scripture,How do we verify scripture?, What is the difference between Scripture and the Bible?

- How did we get the Bible?
firstly, i have to object to your singling me out for THIS discussion.

No man is a custodian of knowlege and i am NOT.

You should have left it open to all or invite many christians.

Like it is obvious Already, the so call christians will/may end up attacking each other due to the points you have chosen to be discussed.

To this end and avoidance of confussions i will like to point out that my view points are exclusively base on what is contain in the bible, and when i say the bible, i mean GENESIS to Revelation (66 books)

mkmyers45: -Who is a true christian?
as much as i find most of what you wished we discuss very pertinent, however they are highly contentious.

Even the one highlighter above will bring alot of argument that will polarise things the more in this forum.

In the light of the above, i feel it is not my place to pass Judgement on people, but to point out what the bible says whenever possible.

There are very Good bible student in this forum that i cannot go listing there names here, but i surely belief that the simple fact that they show so much interest on what the bible says and not for "SELFISH REASONS" qualifies them to be called bible student and as such qualifies to continue expressing their view points here.
Afterall the bible says "iron sharpens iron"

this should and can only be an open discussion open to all that feel their views are biblical/truth.

For me, i take "ONLY THE 66 BOOKS OF THE BIBLE AS THE WORD OF GOD" but you are very well aware that this statement alone will not go down well with the catholics(RCC)

please. If you wish add other people names or better still remove my name and let all come and have a swell time.
Peace
