sumynnad: Good afternoon house,
So I've been gathering my document for vetassess skill assessment. My question is this. Out of my 4 years relevant work experience, if I'm able to get reference letter for 1 year as a Transport Manager in my current organization, will this be enough to give me positive assessment for my nominated occupation - Transport Company Manager?
N.B - I joined the company a year ago and I perform high level task with people reporting to me but my job title is not Transport Manager however, I can speak with my General Manager to sign my reference letter as Transport Manager.
Thanks for your response. You are not getting me. For Vetassess, if you assess for a managerial role, every other year you are not a manager is not added to the calculation of a positive assessment. For example, if you are a sales officer for 4 years and sales manager for 1 year, if you assess as a sales manager, only one year will be reviewed by the assessor. None of us is an assessor so we can't categorically tell you if it will be positive or not. Please check the information sheet on Vetassess website. Transport manager is different from Transport Company Manager |

yungmin: I would rather get married and have us do another IELTS. Thanks It’s better that way. ITA is still flowing. I know your schedule will be busy but both of you should create time and sort out the English asap and put in the EOI as married. These ITAs is likely going to continue till end of the year |

iceberg54: Please clarify the bolded. Do you mean you didn't do IELTS before submitting EOI? If that is the case, your ITA might be invalid.
The best way to include your partner is to apply for visa before your wedding day. Then while your application is ongoing (before you're granted visa), write DHA to inform them of your change in circumstance. They will request for additional documentation and if they are satisfied, they will add her to your existing application, then you both get PR. This is what I did. If you wait until you're granted visa before informing DHA, you'll be forced to apply for spouse visa for her, which means you might be apart for two years before she can join you.
If you're unable to apply before your wedding, then you might need to forfeit this ITA, and submit another EOI after wedding, then hope you're invited again.
All the best. Which year did you get your visa? Was this before single points was introduced or after? |

baresi22: Thank you so much. That is what I have decided to do. I called them after posting this and I was told to draft a cover letter and apply.Me self come tire... I had to explain the situation again to the Department of home affairs staff and I got the same response. It seems that they are bending their rules cos they need people. Don’t be tricked. If they want to bend rules, they will release a circular on it. You can’t use expired documents to apply. Also, the people you spoke to work in the contact center and they are not Case officers. Case officers will assess based on legislation and not because the country is in shortage of skills. There have been many people who got ITA in the last 2 months and they are in similar situations. They had to redo their skill assessment and get a new English result to proceed. I haven’t seen anyone that got grant with an expired document. |

If your school is not able to attach a copy of the certificate to the transcript. You can also upload it on the portal. A few people have gotten their assessment approved like that as long as the transcript comes from the school |

yungmin: Good morning everyone, Please, I woke to ITA for visa class 189 this morning. I'm more than elated.
However, I am getting married by 29th of this month. Please, how do I go about this application consideration my change of status.? My points is just 65 though without IELTS score.
@tunlex @belong please assist. Thanks This is tricky. Did you mean you don’t have English score and created EOI? Option 1: get married because your future wife is more important than any paper. So ignore the ITA and create a new one after you get married. Both of you should write English test and aim for proficient English. You may still be able to get the ITA cos this new government has issues of 20k ITAs recently, so the streak will continue again next month. 2. put your wedding on hold and lodge your application. Then wait for it to be granted before you can get married. Either ways don’t lose money and love! The call is yours! You can’t claim single points and want to enjoy |

baresi22: Hi guys,
I am a Mechanical engineer. I got ITA for 189. However, I just realised that I made mistake in my date of pte exam. Instead of 19/02/2019, I entered 19/02/2021(village people...lol). My date of effect was November 2021, and I had a superior score in PTE. They gave me 60 days to apply and my EOI is locked. I just want to know if there is any remedy.
Any opinion will be highly appreciated. Thank you. If you are able to make another superior score, then you can accept the invite but if not, don’t waste your funds in applying for the visa. |

I was reading through the documents required for submission after getting an invitation for visa application and I observed that under the document required for children below 18 years of age, they are only required to submit a birth certificate or a family book showing the name of both parents.....
Please does not it mean that they do not require to have an international passport? This got me confused. International passport is required for all applicants |

I've gone through the instructions here from page 1 and from the official website, please I have some questions based on my details below.
Age - 32 years University - FUTA Degree - Transport Management Technology Current role - Senior operations and logistics officer Work experience - 4 years (across 4 organizations within Transport and Logistics field). ANZSCO - Transport Company Manager
1. I have never held a managerial position, am I qualified for skills assessment for Transport Company Manager based on my details above?
2. What skill level is Transport Company Manager, am I qualified?
3. Can my bank statement for each role suffice without tax certificate or payslip as evidence of earning for VETASSESS assessment.
4. Can you please add me to the telegram or Whatsapp group for Australia PR.
Thanks. 1. No you are not. Transport company manager means you are managing a transport company not managing transportations. 2. it's level 2. It's stated on anzscosearch website. 3. For Vetassess, that may be enough but not for DHA. |

ednut1: two of my friends also landed from Australia this month. Australia pr has not been straight forward since 2019, govt changes policies at will. Express entry scores jumped from 440s to 470s about the same time Australia began hanky panky in april 2019 ( coincidence ). They have excluded some occupations, they also are doing regional visa where you have to live in those dead desert zones for 2 or 3 years before you can apply PR. People will always look for better easier alternatives. Canada itself now self no come easy again as scores don enter 500. Similar stuff here too here in Australia. I have seen a few people move from Canada. The new government is migrant-favourable and there has been a over 12k PR invites in the last two months. Hopefully it continues like this |

cooooooks: Could you explain this Nigerian university ranking? Where is it done and is there a list, link? Assessing bodies rank universities across the world. As at the last time I checked and based on assessment result, Nigerian education profile has not been updated since August 2013. So only UI, FUTA, Unilag, OAU are tier 1 Uni which means a 4 year course are regarded as Bachelors degree. For other universities, only 5 year course are regarded as Bachelors degree, while 4 years courses are associate degree. You need a bAchelors degree to assess for a level 1 occupation. Although this is not peculiar for ALL the assessing bodies. Some overlook this classification |
