Mastersure: Great Nairalanders, May the new year be good to everyone here.
Please, i have a problem i need to share with us all here, with the hope of sound counsels on how to manage the situation.
Now the thing is, i am in a serious relationship that is leading to marriage with a lady. But this lady is an ulcer patient. This condition makes her to fall sick almost every week. Stomach upsets and general body weakness, but she still works. Monies are spent in the hospitals steady and in addition, my plan is after wedding, when we would have been married, i will ensure that those products that eases/relief the ailment like, Milk and Yoghurt together with the normal drugs will always be available at home. (She takes Milk and yoghurt steady for reliefs).
Now my problem is, she falls ill almost all the time, Her younger sister is also an ulcer patient, her mother too is an ulcer patient and her uncle is also a chronic ulcer patient. And these have been given me issues.
True i love her 100% but it will not still be a big deal to end the relationship.
Please, Doctors, Mothers, Fathers and all the experienced and learned people here, Is this a big deal? And how can i handle the issue?
Thanks and God bless you all. Don't put your kids through trauma. Since it runs in their family, one of your kids will likely have it, hereditary trait...and God help you if her gene is dominant, then all your kids will have it. Think of spending on 3 kids plus your wife, just treating ulcer. Marriage is meant to give you peace of mind. Don't start your early years treating ailments and spending... Which you suppose use to build family wealth. Most people above don't know what they are saying. Love will fly out of the window. This life no easy to live and those who still have a stress-free marriage are still finding it difficult, how much more those with problems. Guy, open your eyes well and disappear. Don't do it out of pity or what people will say. I don talk my own. |

And who created "science"? He gave us all a brain to even think and know that there is something called "science" in the first place. It took man more than 6000 years to come into the thought of IVF and other scientific discoveries...but God that laid the earth's foundation, had already calculated everything into Earth's civilization before they came to be. Even the thoughts men are yet to come into and think, He knows it already...stop being a mumu. adecz: This pregnancy is the work of science not God.
These people won't tell you they did IVF or even used a sperrm donor ☹️☹️ |

N915...using Black Market rate...people don't use the official to send money back home. Recalculate matm: High exchange rate from pound to dollar is the reason for japa. One pound is N543.00. Now if ur salary in UK is a paltry N3000 a month. N3000 times N543=N1629000 a month in naira. If u are sending just IK home monthly, it's equivalent to N543000. which is far greater than the salary of a Court Judge here in Nigeria. That's why people love japa |

About the naira-dollar rate. It's expected for it to be low this season because of abroad returnees and excess dollar in circulation for Xmas and New Year.
Now is also the time to take the advantage of the low rate to buy some things online and invest in whatever you want to.
However, there is a question I've asked here that no one seem to care to answer. That's why we need contribution here, not all these gbas gbos here and there.
The question is, what will happen to the naira rate if election were to be postponed next year February or cancelled? What's the exchange rate you project if it were to be so? |

I will wait and see what Upwork is trying to do with this recent W-8BEN update. A Nigerian TIN may suffice or not. Or not, because we do not have a tax treaty with the United States. Hence, I hope it's not what I'm thinking since Upwork is a US company. Let's see how they handle this, otherwise, non-US freelancers on the platform may be subjected to 30% tax withholding rate. This means Upwork's fee: 20% + 30% tax withold = 50% slashed from your earnings in total. >: Welcome to corporate America. *So, you may need an ITIN or EIN later. |

We are about to enter 7 years of prosperity, and after the 7 years comes the famine. So whatever super gain you receive between 2023 - 2030, use it well to prepare for what is coming. Don't blow it but invest it in assets and physical stuff.
A lot has been predicted about the coming recession, but I tell you, it won't happen the way many people expected or forecast. Instead, the prosperous season will take many by surprise because many people, if well-positioned, will cash out massively.
Peace! |

As far as I know, your dom account here should have all currencies enabled, USD, GBP, EUR....if you send EUR to USD, it will bounce. try Wise personal...that is still the most reliable...but I don't know if your payments are coming from an individual or a company. Mavor: Thanks a lot for providing information. I appreciate your kind assistance. Please I just need something that can help when they pay in EUR, I can receive in my Access USD Dom. Not receive in the Naira account cos CBN rate is rubbish. What would be your best recommendation please? |

Another issue with Access: https://www.nairaland.com/7467504/how-withdraw-payoneer-funds#118950567Yeah, just checked it now...it was due to CBN policy. Na how dem dey use life torture us for this country be that. Only those who had registered before the policy kicked in are now enjoying it. Except you register your business in another country. I think Personal still accepts Nigerians, but it is not wise to use personal account for business purposes. That's just it. You may need to read through those threads to have ideas. I saw grey.co in one of those threads. Mavor: Thanks. I tried registering with Wise Business but it seems it does not allow users from Nigeria to open a Wise Business account anymore. Can you please recommend a suitable, fast and secure alternative? |

Yea, if you search Nairaland, you will see a topic, especially with Access Bank I think, rejecting some USD inflow, classifying it as high risk. I suggest you open a Wise account, preferably Wise Business. It will end all those bullshit. Sorry. I will find the link out for you soon. Mavor: Is there a general issue receiving USD inflow into Access Bank dom account? I do remote work for an EU-based company and I was paid some money since late last week but up until now, my Access Bank USD dom account is not yet credited. The sender sent me a copy of the payment receipt as proof of payment and I have confirmed from a colleague of mine who lives in Portugal that she has received her own money. I need to know if there is a general problem with Access Bank USD inflow or maybe the issue is for me alone. Thanks. |
