Onlineise: I am still serving and hope to finish in august and school resumes in sept. I'm about to apply for a UK student visa. Nairalanders I need your ops. You dont need a letter from Nysc, since you said you will be finishing in August, that settles it,just make sure you make a good quality copy of your nysc id card, preferably coloured one this will state there that your card will expre this sept,so it will answer the fact that you dont need a cover letter from Nysc and in filling of the forms, you would have stated on it categorically what you are presently doing which in this case is NYSC.I have quite a number of friends who applied around the same time that you are planning to applying and they were still serving but they had just a month to go,and they are in the Uk with their student visa. What I will advice you do is pay diligence to the filling of your application form ok!Cheers! |

@Incagold! IncaGold: @ty4real, another good news from me, the schools I chose are among the top 10 schools in the UK, I took funkybaby's advice and checked myself and even went an extra mile to visit some of the schools personally So, so, make you chill, don't extend too much and when u qualify you can apply for the new post study work experience (replacing IGS) giving you 2yrs instead of resorting to sham marriages and continous extension. Well said!Check your messenger naughty boy,you are now becoming an intellectual guru on visa issues! |

IncaGold: @ty4real, Come June you should be sitting for your exams, go and read. Remember your visa expires in 2011 and you need to have qualified by then otherwise you may have to resort to contracting a sham marriage to get your red passport as one of your close ally's boyfriend was planning to. Goodluck and all the best with your exams. 1.Now I know you are a trouble maker! An inexperienced one for that matter! ! whats your yahoo id? 2.Naughty boy you are !Do you know what they call visa extension,so get it into your drum stick head,I don't have to finish by 2011,the most important thing is I satisfy all the student conditions in the UK.Who should be advicing one here now?I hope you've got a school good enough to refine you for your masters and I hope you are getting your documents together, cause I will really need to see you in this Uk and know who this crappy fellow is! But on serious note, thanks for the advice and mind you,I am not writing this June exams,so you can save the wish well message till december and hopefully you may tell me that in person! |

@Teamman! Really HSMP require you send in all your original certificates but in this case since your certficate is not ready an dyou need to put in the application,Let the school send the transcript to Hsmp office and you can still collect the one from the depart. But for real, its advisable you get all your original certifcates but at the same just trust God that it will still work out fine since you need to put in the application now and your certficates is not yet ready which is no fault of yours,You can have the school write an official cover letter stating that the certificate is not yet ready and that in lieu of that, they are sending the transcript.Cheers |

funkybaby: @Tegese
He without sin should cast the first stone.
Were you not the same person some few months ago who came on nairaland attacking/exposing almondjoy as an asylum seeker and talking about her personal life?
Did you notice anywhere i passed a comment on your allegations against her on that thread? Unlike Wackjustice using his multiple IDs to make jest of her thanks to you.
So tell me, what moral justification do you have telling me who to attack or who not to on Nairaland? I do not insert my nostrils into what is practically none of my business, i would really like it if you do the same.
Since you are not sure of the origin of all my attacks, why didnt you take time to ask around or dig up old posts rather than jumping into unnecessary conclusions? Have you ever thought about why is it a female will keep attacking a boy like Vicjustice regularly? Is he the only male on this section?
Regular posters in this section (at least in the last 6months) know that Vicjustice with his multiple IDs started it all. Dantecmu and D10 are just two of the numerous people that can bear me witness here. (Incagold, The guy with 17posts seeking for whom to help him search for a school in UK to study Masters in finance, you do not know the orgin of this so its better you remain silent and spend your browsing time goggling for your info).
Anyway, I never went around crying wolf like what Vicjustice has been doing (mailing and telling people to beg me to stop attacking him). I kept my peace then only waiting for the right time to get back at him. I know he will be regretting in his cyber life for ever launching a verbal attack/insult at me in the first place - he never envisaged i could be this nasty or unrelenting.
Anyway, I have told Vicjustice's emissaries what i expect from Vicjustice if he wants me to get off his case. Until he does what i have requested - i will only keep on doing what i have been doing - exposing his foolishness.
Did i see you post 'Haba wetin, this is over too much??'. Trust me, i have not even started with him. Message! |

dnative: Much as I hate to point out to you (without attacking your person), but it does seems that you are always in a hurry to rush in a new post of some new links without giving much thoughts to the points you are trying to make.
I'm no immigration expert and really do not care much for immigration matters but you should know the following:
That was no live interview. That was just a demo of an h1-b visa interview by some american visa consultants in chennai. Did you notice they were both (interviewer and interviewee) reading from scripts. Where does the display of confidence come into that. In most live interviews, the interviewer would be in a vantage position (physically higher) behind a glass kiosk while the interviewee would be at the other end (usually lower) of the counter. In an american visa interview, you don't always have the luxury of explaining away facts over a lenghty period of time as depicted in this video, most times, a visa decision is preconceived based on documents tendered and the brief interview is just for the interviewer to confirm if a contrasting decision (to the one already taken) should be given.
While not underemphasizing the need to have a right attitude, posture, carriage and confidence during a visa interview (and any interview for that matter), they would be of little help where the documents tendered do not meet the requirements. Also have you considered that the visa issuance process as practised by the UK govt refrains from using a face-to-face interview (unless where absolutely essential) in reaching a visa decision but rather relies on the documents submitted by the applicant? I was thinking the same thing cause I checked the link up and the sceneario does not in anyway reflects a true life interview but since you don talk am,all I can say is nairaland makes one to get wiser but for some people they keep deteriorating in their posts! |

Tell me is it advisable to Use the old passort then or i could go ahead with the new e-passport and inform them of the old passport of the fact that i have been refused visa before ? The only reason I will ask you not to use the old passport is if and if it has expired but if it has not,PLEASE GO AHEAD AND USE THE OLD ONE this old passport you are talking about is expected to fizzle out by 2010 so theres really no biggie about this your E-passport ok! !But since you are soo keen on using the new passport, include the two passport in your application and let the ECO decide which one he will put your visa ok! goodbobo: I applied for UK visiting visa and was refused twice this year with my old passport . Now the government organization that I work for is planning to send me for a course in UK .
Good that the government organisation you work for is sending you on a short course to study and it does not in anyway affect your intending student application.
Do I use a new E passport that I just got for the visa application for the short course in London .
Why do you want to get an E-passport has the validity of the old one expired? If not stick with the old one but if you want to use the new passport make sure you submit the two in your application.
In filling the application form , do I state that the E-passport is not me first passport .
Definitely you have to state there categorically in clear plain, simple English that it is not your first passport.
Do I state or not that I have been refused visa before .
I advice you to state on the form that you have been refused visa before, state your reference number and give a summarised statement of each refusals.
Is there a way the embassy can know if i have applied before .
YES SIR! Infact if you do not state there that you have applied for visa before that may the only reason they will use in refusing you this time,so I advice that you state that you have applied for visa twicw before,I remember a friend who did the same thing soem years back that was even when Biometrics had not even started,he did not state in the application form that he had applied before, infact he stated that it was his first application and first passport, cause he went to get a new passport and he interchanged his forenames and his birthdates, thinking they wont get, that was the only reason they refused him on,they are not satisifed that he actually intends to go the Uk for the purpose he wanted to go for if he could hide those vital information in his application. More so since it is the government that is sponsoring you,why don't you be truthful and very plain, highest they will call you for an interview, rather than you wasting another 25k and refusals been stamped against your records with them.
So the Onus is on you to either discard this lines or follow it,But I advice you follow the voice of reasoning,British High Commission in Nigeria are getting smarter everyday and Nigerians working in that office are the ones who quickly detects the irregularities in your applications and with database software,it will be very easy to know whether you have applied anywhere in the world and that those guys at the commission are good at!Trust me on this. Cheers and all the best in your application.
I don’t want to waste this opportunity I have with my organization sending me for a course abroad . So I decided not to write that I have been refused visa before and not to state that the e-passport is not my first passport .
Please advise me . You are on your own sir if you still go ahead with this resolution! Please, I will really love you to come back and share your testimony with the house in case you decide to go with the resolution. I don give my own little advice make others talk their own! |

Novice1: Thanks Frando At times common sense supercedes intellect My guy i feel u o jare! You have to be smart at times and not engage in battle of words with those devils they call immigration officials, although some of them could be wonderful and some could be very stubborn,so you need to act and think smartly anytime you are in Nigeria airport and the fact that you gave in to thier demands does not make you guilty. They have no destination, the only destination they will ever know is at that airport and you are going somewhere so give them what they need and not what they want and move on to your own destination!Sefini |

@Jcdeji! Why dont you you use google to chech up british high commission office in Nigeria,it will give you their website in Nigeria and from there you can get the necessary infor you need, and concerning the appeal, where did you submit your appeal forms BHC OR AIT office in London(as in did you post it to them directly yourself)if it is BHS,if it is Bhs you sent it to,pray they actually sent it o but on a serious note appeal takes a while even for them to acknowledge the receipt of it so you need to swallow some patience pills. But if you want to apply for another visa,it doesnt stop you from applying ok,each application is treated independently! So gerrup and go get the infor yourself cause funkybaby has really replied you well but since you are allowing some slowpoke to confuse you,!And when you use google finish please come back to tell us who was right ok!Cheers! @Funkybaby!
