Here is one I just saw people kneeling in front of an image, I can also post pictures of Israelites kneeling in front of images and Protestants in front of bibles that doesn't make any of those thing idols. I again maintain that I have never seen a catholic before images. hope you know that not every image is an idol. |

Wait first... did Mary beg any of you to ask her to intercede for you actually people come to me saying "pray for me ubenedictus" am sure same thing with logicstatement it is very common to ask for intercession and be asked for intercession, we ask the whole church for intercession including Peter Paul Mary etc. |

Splinz: Unfortunately for you and your band of travelers, the Inquisition and Crusades set up by the Synagogue of Satan that called itself the Catholic church, couldn't and can never prevail over the true Church of God.
It's only a matter of time- a fulfilment of prophecy, Babylon where you are- a cage of every foul spirit, will be destroyed alongside her ruler, Satan.
So, worship your big & small idols while it last. It is even more pitiable you seem to imply that true christianity began in the 16th century. No wonder you are not aware you believe a modern day heresy. The Bible did prophesy delusion |

ejifranks: Happy Sunday all. May the grace of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ be with you all. There are a lot of great christian hymns and songs which defines the Christian way of life, the beliefs and d ultimate reason and destination for following Jesus and staying in tune with God through life's sojourn.
Which Christian hymn or song do you think clearly represents and captures the total essence and foundation of our Christian faith. Please share. For me I choose this
"In Christ Alone"
In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song; this Cornerstone, this solid Ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! who took on flesh Fulness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones he came to save: Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied - For every sin on Him was laid; Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain: Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave he rose again! And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me, For I am His and He is mine - Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand; Till He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'l stand.
Thanks for sharing yours. That hymn is pretty heavy and it's theology is seem like once saved always saved. |

Malawian: The highest Order is still the Arch bishop. Both Pope and Cardinal are mere Titles. The Pope is just the Archbishop of Rome. Cardinal Alfred Martins is the Archbishop of Lagos. All Cardinals are Archbishops, all Popes are Archbishops. orders end in Bishop i.e the episcopate. That is the plenitude if power and grace not archbishop. Archbishop isn't even a sacred order it is just juridical rank. One can be cardinal without been an archbishop. |

From a sermon by Saint Peter Chrysologus, bishop
Each of us is called to be both a sacrifice to God and his priest
I appeal to you by the mercy of God. This appeal is made by Paul, or rather, it is made by God through Paul, because of God’s desire to be loved rather than feared, to be a father rather than a Lord. Listen now to what the Apostle urges us to do. I appeal to you, he says, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice. By this exhortation of his, Paul has raised all men to priestly status.
How marvellous is the priesthood of the Christian, for he is both the victim that is offered on his own behalf, and the priest who makes the offering. He does not need to go beyond himself to seek what he is to immolate to God: with himself and in himself he brings the sacrifice he is to offer God for himself. The victim remains and the priest remains, always one and the same. Immolated, the victim still lives: the priest who immolates cannot kill. Truly it is an amazing sacrifice in which a body is offered without being slain and blood is offered without being shed.
The Apostle says: I appeal to you by the mercy of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice. Brethren, this sacrifice follows the pattern of Christ’s sacrifice by which he gave his body as a living immolation for the life of the world. He really made his body a living sacrifice, because, though slain, he continues to live. In such a victim death receives its ransom, but the victim remains alive. Death itself suffers the punishment. This is why death for the martyrs is actually a birth, and their end a beginning. Their execution is the door to life, and those who were thought to have been blotted out from the earth shine brilliantly in heaven.
Paul says: I appeal to you by the mercy of God to present your bodies as a sacrifice, living and holy. The prophet said the same thing: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but you have prepared a body for me. Each of us is called to be both a sacrifice to God and his priest. Do not forfeit what divine authority confers on you. Put on the garment of holiness, gird yourself with the belt of chastity. Let Christ be your helmet, let the cross on your forehead be your unfailing protection. Your breastplate should be the knowledge of God that he himself has given you. Keep burning continually the sweet smelling incense of prayer. Take up the sword of the Spirit. Let your heart be an altar. Then, with full confidence in God, present your body for sacrifice. God desires not death, but faith; God thirsts not for blood, but for self-surrender; God is appeased not by slaughter, but by the offering of your free will. |

I guess you don't read the Bible, read it and gain knowledge, I answered u by giving you Bible verses that point to Jesus and only Jesus as the mediator and intercessor for Christian having made a public show of principalities and powers and is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us.. Kneeling/bowing before a statue of a so-called Mary or Jesus in an act of prayer is not different from what traditionalists do. Can you tell the difference between yours and theirs? Joshua and all the old testament believers must all be idolaters since Splinz has decided that idolatry consists in kneeling or bowing before an image while saying a prayer before same.
