We all know how good the catholic church is at forgery. Indeed, Rome was called "the home forgery" during the dark ages. Moreover, stop deluding yourself: the Roman Catholic church did not produce the Bible. The Bible was written by holy men of GOD who were not Roman Catholics.
who canonised the bible? [b]They didn't pray to Mary, they didn't collect indulgences, they didn't institute any office of celibate priesthood filled with homosexual priests who keep on molesting children and women who come for confession, or unholy, corrupt, greedy and immoral popes.[/quote]Oya let us begin the moral grandstanding...only catholic priest are sinner, protestants are saints.

For what it's worth, Mary Ann Collins could be a pen name. The person behind the name may have chosen not to reveal her true identity. We all know how the catholic church murdered Alberto Rivera(a former priest) after he left the catholic church and exposed them.
Please where is the police report that shows alberto rivera was murder by the church.

or that is just one of the jack chic lies u believe. Do u also believe that the church has a big super computer that has d names of all protestants?

We know that the council of Carthage met to recognize properly as canon those books that were already canon by concensus of use. Did Christians even around the time of Origen use the book of Maccabees or Sirach? The answer is NO. So, you have no point.
Actually yes, the christians at the time of origen use book like sirach.

Here is a true Roman Catholic who doesn't know jack about his church and what they can do. He gobbles down whatever he is fed by the priests. grin grin

Bro, the Roman Catholic church has forged many documents and writings, and edited countless others, simply to lend credence to whatever lies they've decided to teach their flock. The Catholic encyclopedia even admits these forgeries!

The Donation of Constantine is only one, and a good example, of such forgeries. You can read about the Donation of Constantine on Wikipedia.
Please tell me the source where it is written that it was the roman church that forged the donation of constantine...which pope comissioned the forgers?

So, you can see that your historical records could be biased.

Are the Orthodox Christians under the authority of the Pope?
If they are not Catholics, then your dispute should be with the Orthodox Christians.
The orthodox christians actually broke away from catholicism in 1054-1600. They are the worst example you can give because orthodox also believe the roman church was began by st peter and st paul, with primacy, their doctrine are abt 90% similar to catholic. Infact the pope is going to egypt this year and the orthodox patriarch will be joining in the trip.

You needn't get upset by the statement quoted.

The early Apostles never put on the kind of robes put on by the catholic priests. They wore their normal day to day dress. If Jesus didn't put on a priestly robe, His disciples did not have any reason to.

It would have been illegal for Jesus to even put on the Jewish priestly robes at his time. So, what example would Peter be following.

You should know that the religious ceremonies taken fore granted now were not possible in the catacombs.

A Bishop was supposed to be a husband of one wife ..NOT celebrate. Mybfriend, there is a huge difference.

Pls check out:

I hope you know that the orthodox church broke from the catholic church btw 1054-1600s and the all have priestly robes, celibate bishops and sirach etc in their bible?

[i]The Church had leaders not a Bishop in the time of the Apostles, after Jesus ascended into heaven.

Jesus Christ was never a Catholic and can't be a Catholic, bring any Bible scripture that backs up ur claim..

Jesus Christ was sent by God to save and redeem the world from condemnation, I don't know when HE became a Catholic member undecided

Jesus Christ is the Savior nd not a Catholic member..
Catholic denomination is MAN MADE, not DIVINE, Jesus Christ is DIVINE, know the difference..
Don't personalise Jesus Christ to the Catholic Church, that would be blasphemy.

Jesus Christ is Lord over all, and came as a MORTAL (not as a Catholic) to save ALL
. oga you are arguing a strawman, everybody agrees that Jesus came as man and is Divine, he also established a church matt 16:14-17, the question is whether or not, this same church that Jesus establish is d same one called 'd way' in d 1st century and catholic church in the 2nd century?
dat is d issue.

The apocryphal books were not canon before 397 A.D. going by concensus of use. And since the catholic church only gathered in the council of Carthage simply to recognize as canon those books which were already canon by concensus of use, we know then that the apocryphal books were not even thought of in that council.
provide proof of this pls.

I know. I know. I know how the catholic church can manufacture forged documents as evidence to support their lies. So, don't even bother showing me any evidence of the council of Carthage listing the apocryphal books as canon.
I guess the catholic church also forged the bible abi?

It is not irrational to fear a religious system that had, over a thousand years, believe in the subjugation of people of other religions, and the arab-muslims are notorious for always attempting to conquer people and empires. They had been very successful over the years in conquering and subjugating people.

If a tenant is notorious for violently taking over a rented apartment, in the name of a god, from his landlords, why will a rational landlord rent or lease his property to such? You can hardly err on the side of caution. It is therefore irrational to allow Arabs, who are known to have imperial instincts, to be allowed an unrestricted access to a foreign territory.

Go and read the history of Islamic expansion and dont prove to be naive or a liberal who sanction all forms of modern- day lawlessness in the name of human right and love. Love goes hand in hand with rational decision making.

Well brother,
Clearly, they lack understanding unfortunately. I get it though.
You raised the most important point here.
This is bigger than what a group of people believes or doesn't believe (and their right to be labeled a Christian)..which some commenters think this is about. J.W.s are still considered a religious group regardless of their beliefs.
It's about their (a religious group's) freedom being taken away...to believe how they want to....without being punished or labeled for it.
The same thing will happen soon to other religious groups.
Exactly, the goverment will begin telling citizen what to believe...it is bound to happen again.

The Old Testament was written by God's inspired prophets, patriarchs, psalmists, judges, and kings.
It was faithfully copied and preserved by Jewish scribes. Modern Protestant Bibles have the same content as the Hebrew Bible. The New Testament was written by Christian apostles. None of them were Catholics, because there was no Roman Catholic Church at the time. This was over two centuries before Constantine's "conversion". The early Church did not have the New Testament as we know it. Rather, individuals and local congregations had portions of it. They would
have one or more of the Gospels, some of the letters which Apostles had written, and perhaps the Book of Acts or the Book of Revelation.
2. You claim the Catholic Church changed the
Bible by adding the 'Apocryphal' books in 1548.
But those apocryphal books were listed in the 397AD Council of Carthage's Canon, which you claim was an identification of the canon that existed already.
So which one is true.

Brother,
Let's imagine that they were. But then it would be a mixture of a lot of denominations...not just Catholics.
this is were you are wrong! It seem you haven't even tried to study early christianity. There were no denominations, there was the church and then the heresies. Take for instance in d time of d apostles, you had the church and then d heresy of d judaisers, later heresy were the gnostic, arian etc. If u claim catholicism isn't the true church that means u blive one of d early heresy is d church. So tell me which heresy....
Why are you guys so cut-throat about Catholicism?

this ur criticism is simply emotional not factual, i have handled every point with serenity while i guess christ will not hesitate to drive out d new money changers frm d temple. I haven't been 'cut throat'.

Despite the killing of 263 French citizens since last year. France has not don much than closing down few mosque where they preach hate. Some mosques do accommodate terrorists.

Take example the Belgium attack this year, that guy after killing He went to the mosque. Stayed there for some hours while he was been searched by the police. The imam would not say a word. "Oh ye, he is doing it for allah. We have to protect him" common, this mosque is shutdown for security reasons. Trust the French Government when it comes to Islam. They protect muslims alot.

Brother,
While you and I have some differing belief systems in certain areas, you are absolutely correct in saying the following:

Be very careful what you support, today it is the witness, tomorrow it may be your church, next tomorrow maybe it will be my church and we will be banned for intolerance and bigotry against gay.
This can happen to anyone, be careful what u support

And what this ruling has done is set a precedent for what's about to happen with other religious groups (trickle down theory) unfortunately (regardless of the particular subject).
This is not a good move...it tramples on a group's right to have Religious Liberty. Regardless of what they or any group believes, under the law (well at least in the U.S.), they have a right to believe it. Things will change soon though.
Thank God u agree. It is a dangerous precedent and I am suprised some are happy about it.
