When people don’t believe there is a loving God who sits enthroned in the heavens and has a good plan for our lives, you can’t blame them for being afraid, proud or miserable. But for those who believe in the God of the Bible, there is no excuse for fear, pride, or misery. God is still on His throne! |

A people in satanic bondage. I pray they find the Way out |
The bible says God is Spirit, spirit is often denoted as energy, and science now tells us that energy is immortal, with no beginning , or end. Note : God = Not a name, but a description given to an entity that needs only itself to exist. Spirit= Energy, breath, wind (solar energy), force, etc.. "God Is Spirit" -- John 4:24 [NKJV, NAS, NIV all translate this correctly, in the original Greek, it is written, "God is spirit, not God is a spirit".] Notice, never does the bible say that God is a spirit , it says that God Is spirit. Now, spirit is energy, force, & wind. Therefore, one could say God is not merely an energy, force, wind. God is energy, force, wind, because it is synonymous with spirit. - So, According to scripture, "God" Is infinite, and extant, based on the following scientific explanation: First of all, the Laws of Conservation have been thoroughly tested to show that matter or 'energy' can be neither created or destroyed, the same amount of "energy" is always dynamic. A building could explode, and although it looks completely different, the same amount of energy would be subsisting within the universe. In physics, the 'Conservation of Energy' also states that the total amount of energy remains constant, Even if it changes forms. The Law of Conservation states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. So, in regards to the universe, it is evident that the energy comprising the universe must have ALWAYS existed somewhere, and even though the universe obviously hasn't always looked the way it does now, the Law of Conservation says that energy is not minimized based upon a change in material formation. So, is it possible that the energy within the universe is eternal even without the universe being in the external appearance as it is now? By all means, for the First Law of Thermodynamics supports this as well. So, the question becomes, originally, what was that energy that is, and was the universe, and where was its residence? Remember, if "God" Is spirit (energy), then a concept of universal energy at one point existing within Itself is not complex, right? By no means. Of course energy can exist within itself. Any other conclusion would be paradoxical. Even scripture says repeatedly that All things existed within God. It is absolutely intriguing how over 2000 years ago (New Testament) and over 4000 years ago (Old Testament), God was equated with energy, and attributed to being In all and containing all, and Now with today's apparatuses, science shows that energy is neither created or destroyed, and at one point even existed in a state of isolation. Again, people get confused when they think the term "God" is a 'name' for some giant with a grey beard who lives on a cloud. The bible clearly so articulates often and over again that God is "spirit". Accordingly, when one understands that the term "God" is simply a description given to an infinite entity, the concept of what "God" is (essence wise), makes sense. Note: Wind is a form of solar energy, which explains why wind, breath, energy are really within the same realm. This is why they all can be referred to as ‘Spirit’. The word for Spirit in biblical Greek and Hebrew is the same for breath, and wind. Therefore, be mindful that we take in the essence of God every time you inhale! It is God that gives life! "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation."--Col. 1:15 "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared Him."--John 1:18 "God Is spirit"-- John 4:24 “God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all”—Ephesians 4:6 |
I used to be leader in one of those "fire-brand prayer" churches for some years. But my spiritual walk was ineffective until I stopped attending "churches" and started studying the Word privately while the Holy Spirit ministered to me Himself. I hardly pray aloud now but pray from within my heart and God guides me and has always answered. |

When you truly repent from your sinful life and accept Jesus' sacrifice for you by FAITH, the Holy Spirit reactivates your dead spirit and begins to take residence therein. You're most likely not going to feel anything because the Holy Spirit doesn't reside in your feelings nor your mind, He only lives within your spirit. You can only accept Jesus by FAITH, likewise the presence of the Holy Spirit cam only be experienced by FAITH. The Holy Spirit can only communicate with your spirit through intuition, conscience and fellowship. You must keep those 3 spiritual functions in right perspectives, the way God wants them in order to effectively communicate with Him through the Holy Spirit. |
There is no other generation in history that has so much swallowed the lies and deceptions of Satan more than ours. The misconception about sex and marriage is the biggest weapon the devil is using to lead people farther away from God. If you decide to live a life rooted in the Truth and Principles of God, you'll be seen as a weirdo even among Christians. |
Maximus69:This 1000 years training you're talking about has no Biblical basis. The millenial reign is about reigning with Christ in heaven not training. Full perfection comes after Christ's second coming and our transfiguration. When a child of God commits sins, those sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, God doesn't see his sins anymore (i.e if he doesn't sin willingly). |
Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and has His Holy Spirit is already perfect in God's eyes because Jesus has filfilled the requirements of the law and lived perfect life on his behalf. No one can attain perfection on his own except through Christ. That's is why He said we should be perfect as God is (Matthew 5:48) even though it's impossible for any human to act perfectly all his life. The perfection that God requires from us in not about what we do but what we are in Christ. |
Selling point for a church business |
Self-descipline can't help against temptations. Dieing to self everyday through the help of the Holy Spirit is the only solution. The one thing God can't do for us is improve or discipline or regulate our natural desires, but He can overcome them and give us His own desires. |
Isn't that their intention? |
Christianity today is all about pursuit of comfort instead of godliness. Because that's the "gospel" that sells faster than the reality(John 16:33). |
Reading Bible is good but you need to repent and be genuinely saved before it will make a great sense and profit for your soul, spirit and body. Without genuine salvation that gives you the Holy Spirit, reading Bible becomes boring, wearisome and tiresome. Because Bible is not just a Christian religious book, but a Christian personal relationship Book with God. I can very much relate with this. Without the Holy Spirit’s illumination, bible reading and study becomes burdensome. When the Holy Spirit is your teacher through the Bible, you'll never get tired of getting more |
Seeking and pursuing the things of God most often leads Christians away from their comfort zones. Right from the moment of repentance, regeneration to daily cross bearing and dying to self, the Christian journey is mostly associated with pains and struggle as long as we are still in this ephemeral world. That’s because the promise of God is not a better life in this world but life in a better world. We cannot prize comfort more than getting right with God. For most Christians today, comfort is their idol – a false god they worship with constant pursuit and attention. Some only want a comfortable life, not a godly life. The symbol for some Christians seems to be an easy chair, not a cross. Sometimes when we get right with God and return to our first love for Him, it doesn’t mean life becomes easy and comfortable. There are constant challenges for us to trust God and oftentimes God uses these challenges to build up our faith in Him. Golgotha isn't a suburb of Jerusalem; frustration, disappointment, sickness, stress, conflict are all normal to the Christian life, but the mindset that moves away from these move away from reality and from Christ. Being a Christian should mean that our trajectory is toward need, regardless of danger and discomfort and stress. In other words, Christians characteristically will make life choices that involve putting themselves and their families at temporal risk while enjoying eternal security. No one desires the pains of self-denial associated with Christ, but the battle is good for us. The symbol of Christianity is a cross, not a feather bed. If you're a well to do and comfortable Christian, God hasn't blessed you so you can sit back into your life of ease and flaunt your wealth in order to “display” His glorious richness but to use what He has blessed you with and reach out to perishing souls in the darkness of this world. In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus Himself told us that following Him would require that we give up the things we love most, so the life of Christian faith and obedience is mostly not a comfortable life as against the gospel of wealth and comfort being sold by most contemporary “men of God”. But it is a rich and vibrant life that is saturated with the power, presence, and provision of God in a turbulence world. What is He calling you to do today? Is He calling you to embrace the social discomfort of fleeing worldly friendships, going into an intimate relationship with Him or joining a local church? Is He calling you to deny your self-desires, your personal ambitions/pleasures, stop watching porn, stop having premarital and extramarital sex or to stop alcoholism and clubbing? Is He calling you to pick up your Bible and seek him daily? Is He calling you to open your wallet or even your home to a brother or sister in need? Is He calling you to move across the world for the sake of the gospel — or even across the train tracks to the "rough" side of town? No matter which way He is tugging you, try to direct your eyes away from the cost and set your focus on the prize: more of God, more Christlikeness, more joy. Whatever it is, it's worth the cost.

God bless you abundantly for this post. The church in Nigeria needs spiritual awakening. This is my prayer everyday. True Christians in Nigeria need to start looking for directions from the Holy Spirit within rather running after "churches" and "men of God". The love of money and comfort had destroyed many spiritual lives in the body of Christ. Many fraudsters are emulating the so called pastors and men of God who live flamboyant lifestyle in the guise of glorifying God. The selling of the gospel and church business is now the most lucrative venture in Nigeria. Make God shine the light if His truth into His beloved church in Nigeria to expose the powers of darkness tarnishing the name of Christ. |
chrisbaxtian:Above all that has been written here, the will of God for you chrisbaxtian, is to have His indwelling Spirit in you so you can fulfill the purpose for which He created you. |
chrisbaxtian:When His Spirit lives in you, you'll know His will and align your own will with His. |
Nigerians need to start giving mental issues a priority |
chrisbaxtian:Any knowledge devoid of God's will and purpose only leads to death - remember Adam and Eve. |
If you're a regenerated (born again) NOT nominal Christian, then believe you have the Holy Spirit living in you. Only believe! Then you'll begin to experience His working in you. Now, you need to know you're a spirit with a soul and body. But the Holy Spirit can only communicate with you through your spirit, NEVER through your soul nor your body. He only works from within you i.e from your spirit to soul and then body. Your spirit part deals with intuition, conscience and fellowship - these 3 functions must be in proper perspective to effectively communicate with the Holy Spirit, but the major hindrance is SIN(body) & SELF(soul) The soul part of you is your mind, emotions and will (intentions) The body is obviously the corporal part of you. |
LoJ:Spiritual death - when the spirit of a man is dead to God. A spiritually dead person has no connection with his Creator. Any active spirit that is not born of God's Spirit is under the influence of demonic spirit from satan. The person may be able to communicate with the spirit world but cannot comprehend the things of the Holy Spirit of God, therefore cannot be in harmony with the living God. |
Shepherd00:They still won't listen, but I pray for anyone who has been involved in this demonic practices and is willing to repent and be delivered in Jesus name. |
Physical death isn't the worst thing that can happen to a human being. A spiritually death person is far worse than a born again Christian facing physical death. |
Thank you I hope the Ishmaelites won't call for your head before reading this piece |
Darevofpeace:I'm more interested about saving souls for God's kingdom which the church in Nigeria has taken to the back seat and preaching wealth and prosperity instead. How many of those 2500 people are saved? What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul. My brother, there is so much darkness ravaging the country and the church in Nigeria is doing nothing to savage the situation. Young people(mostly church going christians) looking for money by any means, increasing sexual immorality even within the church, postmodern ethos (feminism, homosexuality, immoral music, etc) gaining grounds even in the church, politicians plundering the nation's resources and even using religion as a tool to win elections, etc. How many "men of God" speak against the big brother Nigeria or other vices increasingly destroying the future of Nigeria, how many of them vehemently speak against the bad examples being potrayed by politicians on the younger generation. But most "men of God" are quick to shoe support for these politicians and even align with them. The history of the Church all over the world has always seen her at the forefront of fight against the dark forces and evil but same can't be said of the church in Nigeria. |
Darevofpeace:Jesus never lived an earthly life of opulence like Oyedepo lives and preaches. Although, Jesus is the King of kings and Creator of heaven and earth, He lived an exemplary and simple life so that everyone who follows Him would know that the Kingdom of God and eternal life is not about amassing earthly wealth but saving souls for the Kingdom. A Christian can never be uncomfortable even in financial lack (which is common to most Christians) because having Christ means having all. Oyedepo lives and preaches money and earthly wealth as if that is all the Christian life is about. That's why many Christians (especially people from his church) keep pursuing money as if it will take them to heaven instead of seeking the Kingdom of God. |
Generalnomercy:No matter how you try to defend him, he still doesn't potray Christ in good lights. Would Jesus be doing what he does if He(Jesus) is physically present today? Remember all those jets, big church buildings and houses cannot take anyone an inch closer to God's Kingdom. |
LordReed:because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God....the Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children Romans 8 : 14, 16 I don't expect you to understand unless you've been regenerated spiritually. Only those who have been born by the Spirit of God would know His illumination when they experience it. |
What about Frank Edwards who usually sings in his native Igbo language, isn't he bigger than Sinach? Is all about Grace, NOT your exploration |
