We are victorious in Jesus Christ, but to be passive in the face of satanic attack is dangerous. Nations are only as good as their communities, and communities  are  only  as  good  as  the  families  that  comprise  them. Families  are only as good as the individuals of  which they consist. Therefore,  the quality of  a nation  is determined by the quality of  its people. This is especially true  and critical in  regard  to  the leadership  of  a nation. Often, as the leaders go, so goes  the nation. The values, standards, and moral consciences of  our leaders frequently determine the decisions and laws  of  our nations, and they influence the lifestyles  and cultures  of  the people. It  is  imperative,  therefore,  to  understand  that  if  the  people of  our nation, the individuals we  appoint as leaders over  us, and the institutions of  our societies do  not have  a higher  source of  reference for their convictions, beliefs, morals, values, and standards, then  we  will  continue  to  be victims of  our own corrupt  nature. This is why God’s design  for humankind’s life on  earth requires  that  human beings be filled with  the very Spirit  of  the Creator himself—the Holy Spirit—the  Governor of  heaven. In essence,  national  community and global  life  on earth was intended to  be lived through and by  the Holy Spirit, the Governor. The person  and role  of  the Holy Spirit  is not a religious issue, but a social, economic, cultural, and political concern. The Holy Spirit is therefore a national  and international  issue and must  be seen and presented as such

I'm a Christian, my Bible tells me that the soul is a separate entity from the spirit. When God created man, He made man a spiritual being like He is. When God breath into the earth suite i.e when the spirit came into the body, man became a living soul - the soul is produced when the spirit comes into the body . This means when man's spirit was active as created by God before the fall, man's soul (mind, volition and emotions) was subject to the spirit only. Of course the spirit is the only medium through which God's Spirit can communicate with man. Because of the fall of man, God's Spirit left man so that man's soul could only be controlled by his body. Thus humanity has since then thought the soul and spirit are the same.

God in His infinite mercy has made a way for man's redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, anyone who believes in Him will have his spirit regenerated and be able to relate with his Creator. Additionally, God's uncreated life will be in that man through His Holy Spirit so that such a man will know who he really is, why he's here on this earth and his eternal destiny after this earthly life.

The evil we see in our world is a result of man's fall. Man chose to rebel against his Creator from the beginning and it still continues and the outcome is what we ate seeing. But God in His mercy has made a Way out in Christ, those who continue to disobey Him will continue to see evil in everything but those who choose to obey Him will be peaceful even in the midst of the most dreaded evil.

If self is not destroyed after sin, sin will soon creep back into the life of a regenerate man. Self is more powerful and subtle that sin itself so it shouldn't be condoned. Self resides in the soul (mind, will and emotions) and ordinarily may not look bad or may even pretend to be serving God, but God can only be served in the spirit. True spiritual fulfilment only comes from reckoning yourSELF dead and obeying the Holy Spirit in your spirit through intuition, fellowship and clear conscience. May God empower our spirit man to live a worthy life of fulfilling spiritual experience.

These evil principalities and powers are also responsible for controlling how people of each nation think and behave in rebellion against God. They use the governments, power of the air (tv, internet, radio, etc), celebrities and so on to bring about their influence on people. Take Nigeria for instance, the principalities and powers over the affairs of Nigeria are not physical but unseen, they only use the government, music, celebrities, tv shows (e.g big brother Nigeria), etc to control people's way of life in Nigeria especially the younger generation. Unfortunately, the churches in Nigeria are spiritually blind to these things, no wonder the misdirected prayers and sermons that come from the pulpits in Nigeria. May God open our spiritual perceptions as a people in Nigeria.
