unite4real:This cscs account number, is it 10 digits or 9 digits? The sukuk bond form gave space for 9 digits while my Stanbic stockbrokers account number is actually 10 digits. Is the Stanbic stockbrokers account not same as my cscs account number? I would have easily called them to ask, but call agents are off due to covid 19 |

Between trove, Chaka and bamboo, is there anyone that allows you fund your account directly in dollars from a dollar card or from dorm account? Having to fund with naira for them to convert at their high exchange rate is heart breaking. Trove exchange rate for naira to dollar is at the roof. I have some dollars I wish to fund from directly. |

Hello Wise one's I am new to stock investing and have been looking for a way to invest in US stocks for God knows how long until fate brought me to this thread weeks back. The few things I've heard about the Nigerian stock market has made me understand there is a lot to it than an average man can understand. So its better to stay clear and move over to a market that is actually open and fair to everyone (US). I have been reading and reading from page 1, coupled with a few research I've carried out on my own. I am really happy with what you bosses are doing here. You're saving souls without even knowing it. I have successfully installed and set up the trove app. But my question is, for a long term investor, with intentions of cost averaging in monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, which stocks/companies will you suggest? Which companies do you feel will come out strong from this corona, and live long post corona (for long term investors)? (By Long Term I mean 5, 10 or more years) I know i am to do my own due diligence, but I just need pointers which will help push me in the right direction with my research. There is no better time than now right? |

ernie4life: Hello ernie4life I am here for the suggestions on How To get into Eurobond with my small 50% which is 10 million naira ($25,000 at 400/$)? I’ve called Stanbic and they said minimum for Eurobond is $200,000 (9% interest). Thank you |

ernie4life: Thank you for your input. I really do appreciate. I am considering going 50% dollars and 50 % naira. From the look of things, naira will get weaker and that alone is profit. My question now is, How do I get into Eurobond with my small 50% which is 10 million naira ($25,000 at 400/$)? I’ve called Stanbic and they said minimum for Eurobond is $200,000 (9% interest) while dollar mutual fund is $20,000 (5.84% interest). |
Investment / Re: Mutual Funds by Uchefrancis16(m): 11:19pm On Mar 22, 2020 |
Hello wise ones I greet u all. I have about 20 million naira which is a combination of both principal and interest from repeated investment in treasury bill during the gud old days until rates went dust. Since then I’ve refused to put it in again. With the current economic down turn of the country with this corona virus, how do you suggest I invest this money to be sure I ride above inflation? This fund is for zero risk investments so it can’t go into real estate or business. Initially, I wanted to lock it down in a 10 to 30 years fgn bond at 14.85%. This bond was announced early January. I’ve discussed with Stanbic stockbrokers and they’ve opened my cscs account, and insisted I can only buy from secondary market (at 11% to 13%) since minimum amount for primary is 50 million. However, suddenly I’ve even lost faith in this federal government. Naira is on free fall, federal government so broke that its wants to deep hands into pension funds to build infrastructure and borrowing Nigeria to death. I need help and suggestions of how to invest this. As well as Eurobonds with good rates. If you were in my shoes, what will u do? Thank you.

Business / Why Are Nigerian Companies Stealing From The Poor Masses? by Uchefrancis16(m): 4:52pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
I keep wondering why the so called big companies in Nigeria despite all their huge revenue still resort to stealing and scamming innocent Nigerians/poor masses. I use MTN Beta Talk on my phone for calls. For those not conversant with MTN beta talk, it’s a tariff plan which gives you 250% bonus for every recharge you make. Assuming I recharge N1000, my main balance is credited with N1000, while my bonus balance will be credited with N2,500. Now the thing is, the call rate is quite high but that’s not the issue here. When you make calls, the first 60 seconds is charged from your main balance at the rate of 0.45kobo per second (27 naira per min) while subsequent minutes will be billed from your bonus balance. THE ISSUE NOW IS, sometimes MTN dubiously deducts from your main balance while you still have thousands in your bonus balance. I noticed this but kept quiet until today. I had over N500 left in my bonus account, this people left it and zapped over N400 from my main balance. I called in to complain, the customer care agent couldn’t say anything other than “I have registered it with the technical support team. We will get back to you in 24 hours” (trust me the MTN I know will never get back to you. That’s how cruel they are. They rob you and never refund even if the matters ends up in your Favour. SECONDLY, NIGERIAN BANKS. I deposited a check of 208,000 naira into my Stanbic IBTC bank account, after which I transferred the same amount from Stanbic to my zenith bank account. I would have deposited the check directly into zenith, but Stanbic was the one closest to me. Normally, my balance at Stanbic aught to be the same as it was before depositing the check and transferring out the exact value to zenith. But that wasn’t the case. I realized in the sms alert that extra N208,000 was missing. Meaning I was debited twice for the transfer to zenith. Now, this is normal. As sometimes, mistakes happen and we are debuted twice for a single transaction. HOWEVER, I see this as a criminal intent since I didn’t get an sms alert for the second debit. And details of the second debit didn’t reflect in my transaction history even in the mobile app. Also, for 8 good days I kept quiet, stanbic never reversed the error. Earlier today, I decided to recharge and call Stanbic. I didn’t make any complaint but rather requested for my account statement to be emailed to me and hung up. 30 minutes later I got the statement in my email. In the statement, my balance turned out to be magically correct. No traces of the double debit. I quickly logged into the mobile app, and just like magic, they have updated my balance without any trace of the initial error. Wow!! Had I not known, I would have lost 208,000 just like that to this legit criminals. As for Ecobank those one are born yahoo bank. Access bank matter is for another day. GTB nko? We better not go there. What is really happening?

I tried purchasing the federal government bond announced earlier in January through stanbic bank and the whole thing is looking So difficult and confusing. At first, despite stanbic being listed as one of the places one can get the bond, their staffs didn’t know anything about it. I had to make calls upon calls to their various customer care number before I could get hold of someone who understood me. To cut the long story short, I went to the bank, explained to the staff in charge of bonds whom as expected knew nothing about it. But after I gave her some specific information about the bond as given to me by their customer care, she swong into action. But up till now, we are stock at opening a cscs account. I’ve been to the bank trice to ask why it’s taking time, and it’s one story to the other. Pls, does it take time to open a cscs account? We’ve been on this since January. Last time they told me the ID provided was dark. I’ve given them another ID, yet it’s taking ages. Also, is there a way I can get this bond easily. I am considering approaching Firstbank. Kindly note it’s not the normal fgn savings bond with max of 5 years tenure. This one has upto 30 years and with better rates. See screenshot for more details

I dont agree with you on the causes. I believe the 52% major cause of road accidents should be aloated to the bad roads and pot holes everywhere. It's only in Nigeria you will see a clean road followed by a massive pot hole that can swallow your car. Mind you, dodging them at times is not an option as it will only lead you to your death. Spare me the over speeding shit. Not to talk of the road blocks here and there. Last 3 weeks, a petrol tanker fell down in onitsha Express. You know the cause? Military checkpoint and their drums. 1 Like |
Phones / Is This A Trick Or Am Not Hearing Correctly by Uchefrancis16(m): 3:30pm On Feb 13, 2018 |
Hello house, today i recharged my new 9mobile line with 500 naira to enable me call an international numbrr. The recharge was successful but upon dialing the supposed number, i was told i had not enough bal. I simply dialed the number again and yet the voice said i had no money. So i checked my bal using *232# and saw that i had zero bal and a bonus of 1250. On both w1 and w2... dont even know what that means. So i tried calling 9mobile customer care number 200 to atleast get an explanation and how to possibly avoid such next time (even if they are to give me bonus its not at the expense of my main bal). Only for there not to be any option to speak with a representative. Is this a trick or something? I listened over and over but no way. Same thing happened with MTN on sunday. That i started thinking MTN representatives dont wrk on sunday. There was no way to resolve this issue. And now, what i wanted to call abroad for, ive missed it. Have u guys noticed this before? I just dont know why they keep hiding the button to reach a representative. As before, all netwrks had it set to 0. Once u call and tap 0, u will be directed to a representative immediately. |

tundeayo2020: My brother there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I was exactly in the same shoes as you last year. I kept going to hospitals and labs to no avail. Wasting money all the way. Since you said its started as far back as 2012, my brother if it was something deadly you would have died long before now. Now let me tell you your problem. Your problem is u. The internet and your work. Why? Because your problem is probably psychosomatic. Meaning it has to do with ur head. What u are thinking inside. All the negative thoughts u have inside regarding your health is what is actually manifesting in ur life and weight. Since you Wrk on Fiverr full time, you are probably indoor 24/7 with ur laptop. That's bad. You leave urself to ur mind. And begin to thing foul. Stop weighing urself every month. Stop browsing about your problem on google. All u will see is cancer, HIV, kidney and other heavy heavy sickness that will make u think like u have them. Meet a doctor who knows what he is down to run series of tests on u. Not just one or two. In my case, after months of spending (I allocated all my earnings to finding out what the problem was) I had some pains in both lower and upper abdomen wch kept me thinking it was something serious. And the thinking affected my weight and overall performance. In the end, after much much rubbish I saw on the internet as possible causes, it appeared I had ulcer and cold. The ulcer bit the stomach down. Whilst the cold produced its own pain at the top. Got it treated and left my internet business for months before going bck. Always hang out, be cheerful, and think less and if u do, think positive. There is power in the mind. 5 Likes |

That's theirs here is mine... Church now means working day to men of God. Got tired of when they preach for 10 minutes and use 2 hours to collect money. Catholic and Anglican is the worst. Any new project in church needs new donation even the most minimal. I've decided to stay at home instead of going and be field with hatred for men of God or speak evil of them and suffer the rot of the lord. So its peaceful at home. 11 Likes 1 Share |
