Before those Countries get to where they are today ..... They have a lot of Heroes and a lot of fellow citizens that never give up on the people they fought their corrupt government and stood up for the people , they did not fight for their Pockets they just fought the people without any reward. You ran out of the country, and came back oneday and expect the people to follow you just like that? That's not how to do it, Before you lead the people you have to show the people you got what it take to lead them by fighting for them, helping them , and living among them you just don't come one day and say i want to lead you and you expect the people to follow you just like that when that are not stupid, You have to show the people prove that you can lead them well and you have the best interest of the people in your heart, Just because you came from abroad after you ran away doesn't mean you have the best interest of the people in your hearts. Nigeria need people that is ready to die by fighting for the interest of the people because it happened in all those europeans countries too, they made a lot of sacrifice is Africa or Nigeria as a whole ready to do the same? How the Universe works is Mystery ,if you want any good and great things you have to make sacrifices for it and fight that you want this things but sadly no one in Africa is ready to fight for the people in a sensible way without having any other motives or selfish interest. Look at how some African Nations got their independent they fought hard for it and made a lot of sacrifice for it. The same things have to happened if Africa is going to reach any height higher one of the reasons is because that's how the Universe works ... if you need any good things and want something good to take place you have to make sacrifice for it, Work for it, Struggle for it, Suffer for it, You must even be ready to die for it and you have to do it in a sensible and reasonable way but sadly no one in Africa is ready to do all of the above, everyone just want to live and be happy, everyone is only interested in lifting their family, those that are fighting are all doing it wrongly or doing it with other selfish motives. If you want to lead the people you have to show it to the people and prove it to the people, the people we have no option other than to follow you if they see the spirits in you but sadly everyone that claimed they want to lead the people lack the spirit. Trust me the hope is not lost, One day Many people will rise up and fight for Africa, a lot of sacrifice have to be make for a new Africa to emerge until Africa is ready to fight, Until Africa is ready to get bloody against those Bad people in Africa because bad people can never change, Until People are ready to fight and not run and Give up, Until Africa is ready to eliminate all their Oppresives and selfish leaders, Until Africa is ready give up on selling the leaderships of the country to the highest bidders and the greatest liars instead of those that really work for it and deserve it base on merits and good reputation .... Africa is Shithole for now but i believe it will not be like that forever but even though we may never see the Africa of our dream in our lifetime
You were the same person making some tribal inclined comments sometime back

We will acheive the Nigeria of Our dream one day ..... all of us have dream and we believe we can achieve it if we work toward it and never give up, same things apply to Nigeria. Nigeria could have been greater than this if all those that succeeded and made it out of this country never give up on Nigeria, imagine if all Nigeria that built business abroad did it at home and they came home and applied the knowledge they gained abroad on Nigeria but they all gave up on Nigeria and continue developing other countries
Nigeria no wan development

That's the FACT

All you can keep fighting over which tribe is the worst.

In our country, no matter the tribe, if you have a fence, you put barb wire on it like a military garrison, that alone should tell you the sense of security we have in our community and the faith we have in our fellow tribesmen and neighbors.

You think you can stop all these by calling out tribes? I laugh in 3D surround sound. We better put up a fence in figurative speech to severely punish acts that demean our image internationally.
don't mind them

@ediabali, Let's assume it is true dt majority of those on d list are truly Yoruba's. U know d major difference btw d Yoruba's and Igbo's? D yorubas frown at criminals/crimes irrespective of whether "Kunle/Modinatu" is involved.
it's rare 4 I to find a Yoruba sipporting/feeling pains for a criminal. if any one of those crominls are yorubas, and d sentence is DEATH, then so be it, LET THRM DIE FOR THEIR CRIMES!!!
Let every igbo prrson also have this "Do d crime, face the time" mentality and nigeria will improve.

Don't come to d social media space and be fighting others who frown at criminality just because 'Emeka/Ngozi' is involved.
Pls, remind me when its time for referrendum. U can count on my vote for a full-fledge biafran nation.
interesting

So all those Yahoo boys littered across the SW don't get acceptance amongst their people?

a trip to instagram will show you that indeed crime is now being accepted as the way to go ACROSS Nigeria

This is not a tribe thing as some of you like to put it.

our value system as Nigerians has been damaged big time
And we need to work together to salvage it.
But instead of doing that

in typical black man fashion, you guys are turning it to a tribal issue.

Good to see a thread on Mexico on here. American misrepresentation has blighted the image of a rather moderately prosperous and colorful people.

Mexico is a trillion dollar economy and in a general sense industrialized, although capital ownership can more often than not in comparison to developed nations, be foreign owned. But let that not cloud one from recognizing that with a little over more than a 100 million ppl the economy is nearly 1.2 trillion USD. Inequality and a less thane excellent human rights record does not help, however they enjoy wonderful standards of living. World class cities like Mexico City (CDMX) and Guadalajara to supernaturally beautiful vacation spots like Zihuatanejo, Tulun and Cabo. Then ofc the more commercial ones like Acapulco and Cancun.... Mexico is truly a wonderful place.

Not to mention the history of the early ppls such as the Aztecs, Mayans, Tlaxcalans and co. Whenever you drive around central CDMZ remember that you are plying the same routs that Aztecs did in their ancient Tenochtitlan, predecessor to the present city.

For lovers of sport please check out the two leg final of the LigaMX or any sporting events at the Azteca. Come to think of it the cities of Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City would be venues for the Mexican part of the 2026 World Cup.. That could be another reason to visit.
You have said it all....

Mexico is an OECD country

that speaks volumes

I will recommend you target a Brazilian Passport which is just 1 year away from when you receive your PR. That way, you can do away with the green passport and enjoy the VIP treatment of a blue Brazilian Passport. I also thought of enjoying only the PR but after few travels with my baby and seeing how differently we were treated and the fact that my baby doesn’t have to face any ugly visa officers (for many countries), I’m working towards a Brazilian Passport now.

well.when i was in your age .my heart was filled with same thought until i decide to leave the country. spent years in qatar. kuwait bahrain. about a year in dubai and 4 years in malaysia .it was a bit.easier to move around back then but despite that .it wasnt easy.to make money over there if.you arent into fraud drugs or robbery.if you stick with unskilled jobs.it is hard.

the same thing.still exist in.all the middle east countries till date. dubai kuwait qatar oman bahrain most nigerians there are.struggling.and.just.surviving. with about a 100k salary a month doing factory work security labours hotel cleaners and so on.some are lucky to get free accomodation from the company and some feeding but what about other expenses.how much do you want to save from that money..if many of them spend five years in those countries today they cant.raise that 6 million.thats the fact. they can.only.do so.if.they engage in.fraud. those are wasted years.

in.nigeria.if you are smart and.know.what.you are.doing and.start a good business.you can.turn.that.6 million.to twelve million within a year. this is certain.
with 12 million. you only need about 6m to build a nice 3 bedroom standard if you manage.it become yours for life. buy a small car for your run around like 1m plus.no need to show off.remember jeff amazon owner still drives his 2002 crystler yet he is the richest in the world.reinvest the rest for another year .their maybe unforseen circumstances but its everywhere in the world. you should stay focus.

even in the.usa and.canada $30k dollars to average americans is a lot of money because many cannot even raise such amount within a year.

truly the basic amenities are there the road security not forgetting gun violence..the light the environment beautiful and all that but its hard to make money and stay true.its hard to survive.I have cousins who have spent upto 25years in uk even schooled there and all that they are all back home now and planning to start over again.when u ask those who have stayed long abroad.they will tell you the real truth.you remain a stranger in foreign man land. for those who are smart and live abroad and are successful.if you check you will notice that you can trace their success back home.most of them send goods home to sell and use it to acquire other stuffs like properties and other investment and expand.people like banky w tiwa don jazzy and co would have been nothing if they didn't come back home. a nigerian american base rapper wale is struggling hard to get booked for shows in the usa .despite signing to top label.we remain a stranger in a foreign .

you already have that tool in your hand which is the money .all you need is a good idea of how to flip it .6m is a lot of money to succeed in business only for those who are smart and business minded.

I have some colleagues who left malaysia to usa though they are still in usa. one of them still drives uber in usa. the other one that is a graduate that has good job.bought house on mortgage for about 237k usd. also has kids paying fees which is a lot though govt gave study loan. when you combine all bills.in the next 20years most of the bills are still uncleared .yet you continue to pay property tax after mortgage payment.

that's why the smart ones manage and live like stranger in a room apartment and save any little they get and send it back home to invest which grow overtime.

the only way I can advice you to relocate is if you have nothing atall and you are ready to start a new life afresh .

or

if you are rich already and want to enjoy those beautiful atmosphere abroad. our politicians makes all their money at home because they know they can't make such abroad.but they take it abroad to to spend with their family.that's why they are ready tk die here.
when you were my age cheesy cheesy

Infact being an African is like a dieses that is not curable. I want to just leave this place called Nigeria and never return again.
In Nigeria, filling station operators bride Nepa officials not to restore power just so they can make more profit. In Nigeria people that run football viewing centers actually settle Nepa officials because of personal gain. Situation is very critical here in Nigeria.

Same with SA that forced Zuma to resign

It's the lack of education, miseducation and short sightedness that is to blame for Nigeria predicaments.

The mind of an average Nigerian is underdeveloped and is still at the primordial stage (that is why we talk my tribe /my family over common good)

You think they don't know? They do. All of them. Including the BMC's with official positions like Tolu.
However, I don't really blame them if one looks at the picture holistically. The Buhari's regime is implementing a classic program of fascist socialism, where the State uses poverty to subdue its citizens and the security services to oppressive the stubborn ones in order to intimidate the rest into silence.

And it has worked, of courses enabled by the twin postcolonial and seminal divisions of tribe, ethnicity and religion. Nigeria is a country that stands as on a tripod of the Hausa/Fulani, Igbo and Yoruba nation-states. To rule, you just need the backing of at least the political class from two of these tripod. Buhari has the backing he needs from the North and Tinubu-led political elites of the South West. That is enough to rule in Nigeria.

The BMCs are also victims of the sorry state of Nigeria's affairs. However, they survive based on the penury they get from Buhari. So they know. But survival, for them and as expected, is first. So they ignore.
I like your analogy
