The Nigerian police officers I know, even if you pay them in dollars, will never stop extortion. It is not just police thing, it is a cultural thing in Nigerian society as a whole. Pay rise in the NPF is just a minute fraction of the needed reform that is required in the force. Any effective reform has to be wholistic, not just in the police institution, but in all other institutions of the state as well as a general reorientation of the people. Above all, massive effective economic empowerment is the beginning of any meaningful reform in the country. Check very well, unemployed people like us are more or less bitter, angry, aggressive and are more likely to commit crimes than employed people who know that they have a lot to loose should they even spend a day in police custody, so they are more careful and more law abiding . An employed person knows that his vehicle documents have to be up to date to avoid time and resources wasting by FRSC, so he renews them without being told. That is not the case with a jobless man. My people, if you're employed, make it a point of duty to pray for us daily. Look into the eyes of a jobless man, what you see is what it is |
Omezif:Oga, this number is like my gmail account. I can't let them go |
Ahmback:but I've consistently used the line for more than 10 years |
Crownp:what about users of old SIM? |
TheBillyboy:what about those who may want to reach you but are diverted? |
My main line is an MTN line that I've used for more than a decade. I can't even remember when I started using it, but it's before 2010. I have retrieved It severally due to phone loss. But my experience with wrong number always leaves a bitter taste... Two weeks ago, a lady told me on facebook that she blocked me on WhatsApp and deleted my contact; I tried to message her but it wasn't going through. When I asked her, she said she called my line and a woman picked it and told her she's married with kids. After calling severally...the woman warned her not to call again. I do receive calls severally from people who call me different names and with full confidence of the destination they're trying to reach. Some will just call and start talking without verifying who they are speaking to. I have severally been a barrister. Severally a generator technician etc. This is not a case of only those Hausas, I am called by people of different backgrounds. What prompted me to create this post now is a call I received few minutes ago. The caller is trying to reach Ifeanyi. He doesn't believe that I don't know who Ifeanyi is. He has called three times urging me to give the phone to the owner. I remember a time a girl called and started to abuse me thinking I'm one uncle of hers. Does anyone have similar experience? Please share |
I'm fine. This is my biggest lie that I even told today |
If you still may, then you're not serious |
The crazy thing is that no one can point at a project and say: this is what we did with the loan. I pity our future generations |
Dpaulie:worse, as in US Nigeria relationship. Trump is here already, if he wins again, we continue the way we are. If Biden wins, there will be an improvement... |
1. Why any Nigerian supports Trump. 2. Why anybody supports Buhari 3. Why anybody is against restructuring 4. Why anybody is against Nigeria's disintegration 5. Why anybody supports Nnamdi Kanu 6. Why anybody would nominate Tinubu, Atiku or OUK for president 7. Why anyone still believes that Nigeria will ever develop 8. Why anyone believes that their tribe is any better than others 9. How righteousness98 managed to get fans 10. How Nwaamaikpe happened to have haters to the extent that mods handed him 600 years ban E shock me o |
The world is so much interested in US presidential election because whoever wins, has very significant impact on the whole world. But currently, whoever wins will be of little significance to Nigeria: It can't get worst than it is now |
wizzie001:After blocking all entrances and holes, save up and do screeding round your fence. Unplastered fence or fence with texcot(if that is the spelling) paint are easy for reptiles to climb. |
I've never been more broke than now |
This one is coming to claim overzealous. Schools have been shut down over many months of rainy season. How do you expect them to look at resumption? When last did your ministry release money for maintenance? |
Easy to say... |
miracle27:If it's free, do it here |
There are three types of aluminium corrugations: regular (long span), metro-copo and step tiles. I'll talk about each of them, their pros and cons. Let me start with metro-copo. Metro-copo This is the most sort after corrugation presently. It is a bit costlier than other corrugations of same same gauge. For example, if 0.45 regular is N1700, step tiles 1750 and metro-copo is 1800. Why the higher price? Simple: Corrugating metro-copo is slower than others. Because of the design, the machine is set to run slowly in order not to puncture the material. Pros... It is very aesthetic. Cons... If your roof has long lengths, the sheets can jump lapping thereby causing your house to leak water. The result is that you might need regular maintenance that may at times incurs expenses and inconvenience. Verdict If your roof has long lengths like cathedrals and factories, avoid metro-copo. While using it for your private or commercial building, avoid low gauge otherwise go for other corrugations.

The picture you added is not even from Nigeria. That's by the way. I've been to Oguta lake at that point that cannot mix. Whether it is scientific or legendary, I do not know. What I know for sure is that the sight was a beauty to behold. I tend to believe the scientific explanation more because I have witnessed severally, where flood of different colors flow very long distance without mixing. Until I get those two waters from that lake, put them in a keg, shake it very well, I won't believe the legend. |
I will be updating this thread regularly with interesting and educative posts such as how to calculate flashings, different types of corrugations and their advantages and disadvantages, different types of roofing materials, different types of metro tiles etc. Stay tuned. https:///message/XGDUSESZCOHJJ1

Xavfra:I swear I miss that guy |
Girls don't really want nothing, they go along with whatever is available. Girls don't really have 'ideal' man, whoever that is able to manipulate their emotions have their heart. I'm a broke guy, but I have dated girls with class, I have also been turned down, albeit rudely, by classless girls. I have triumphed over attractive and rich guys severally in this game. The key to winning a girl's heart is being yourself full time and having self confidence. Please nairalanders, where is NwaAmaikpe? If any mod has given him 1000 years ban or something, please unban him. It's even better you ban me. If He's absent on his own volition, someone should please reach out to him and bring him back. I always looked toward to reading his comment. I miss him so much. Even if you add that 'damn nigarrr' boy plus that heaven/hell fire man including that once noisy LadyF, even plus Ubunja and Poco something, all of dem together, they no reach only nwaAmaikpe. #BringBackNwamaikpe |
