Thank God for these great players coming together to shame the haters at last. |
It was surely a day of tremendous joy for a certain Cristiano Ronaldo as he won 2017 FIFA Best Player Award ahead of perennial rival, Lionel Messi and also Neymay on Monday night. The Real Madrid star striker thereby retained the award back to back just like his team did in the last edition of the European Champions’ League Competition. To make matters even sweeter for Real Madrid, the team manager, Zinedine Zidane was also on the podium on this memorable night in London as he won the Best Coach Award. Ronaldo won the polls by garnering 43.16% of the total polls ahead of the other contestants. He has now won the title for the fourth time in five years. He has won the title for a total of five times now. The star of the night had this to say to reporters; “I am just enjoying this moment, the moment is great. I feel happy, I’m 32 and have won best player in the world and I’m so glad. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the next year. I just try to focus on the moment.” WHO DID THE TOP PLAYERS VOTE FOR? See who Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Hazard and other stars voted for at the awards. Full Details @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-cristiano-ronaldo-bags-2017-fifa-best-player-award/

Na Wa O! Oyinbo people sef don dey do this type of "ritual"? Abi this nurse get Naija blood for im body? |
Wonders they say, will never end. This was the situation as a man goes to the morgue to see the corpse of his wife for the last time. To his utter disbelief, he entered the place only to find a male nurse seriously pounding away at his wife’s corpse in a hot sex session! The 27 year old randy male nurse who has been identified as Grover Macuchapi recieved the beating of his life from the grieving and angry husband before he was later handed over to the police. Police chief Douglas Uzquiano informed press men that the scandalous incident happened on Monday night around an hour after the female patient died at Hospital de Clinicas in La Paz and was transferred to a hospital morgue only for her corpse to be raped by the male nurse just a hour after her death. He said: ‘Relatives of the dead woman had gone to the hospital to cancel a debt they had for the medical treatment she received. The male nurse in question who is now facing prosecution on charges of profaning a corpse and obscene acts blamed his action on “being in a trance”.

Manchester United For Life! I hope this move does come to pass. Kudos, Mourinho and co.! |
If the news making rounds in the Rumour Mills are anything to go by, then Tottenham Hotspurs may just be heading to the transfer market for a striker very soon. That is not because of a shortage in that department of the club for now but because they may just be losing their star striker – Harry Kane – to an insatiable Manchesto-Mourinho United soon. Rumours have it that the Old Trafford outfit are secretly lining up a £170m transfer move for the English Top Striker. And they are not alone in this plot against Tottenham Hotspurs as it is also in the Mills that even Spanish Soccer Giants – Real Madrid – have been nursing the same ambition of late. One can only imagine what would happen to the British Premier League if Manchester United succeed in their bid to acquire Harry “Hurricane” Kane. The “Red Devils” will surely end up with a “devilish” attack comprising of Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane and Zlatan Ibrahimovich backed up by equally devastating attacking youngsters – Anthony Marshall and a certain Marcus Rashford. Add a certain high class mid-field comprising of Herrera, Mata and a certain Paul Pogba to that and you have a side that can upstage teams like the almighty F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid for sure. Harry Kane is surely a striker that needs no introduction in the soccer world as he has successfully scored a hundred and ten goals for Tottenham Spurs in just a hundred and seventy-four games. It will surely be a highly strategic success for the Mourinho led Manchester United team if they are able to successfully prosecute this “football coup”. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-harry-kane-heading-for-the-old-trafford/

Anyone familiar with this country called Nigeria knows one fact for sure. It is never short of news that makes one’s hair stand on its edges. If “elected senators” are not taking “those who elected them” to court for whatever reasons, then some billions of naira are being discovered buried in “air-conditioned graves” by some unknown ghost Nigerians and stuff like that. The latest news causing some concern is that of the so-called Nigerian Army’s medical outreach to schools in the South East Region of the country. While the Army and some government officials describe it as a “medical outreach”, some segments of the society have gone on to give it different names with “killer vaccine” as one of the leading ones. It is still difficult to comprehend how “an outreach” turned to something else because one would have expected that the people you are reaching out to must have been somehow pre-informed of your program. No matter how sincere your intentions are, if the main people concerned know nothing about it, you have already “planned to fail”. And that is not just in this case but in every other one. This case also brings about the long asked question “What is the real role of the Nigerian Army”? The way it is going about its business presently, some of us are already afraid that our military is degenerating into what I usually refer to as “Village Champions”. Many people are beginning to lose faith in the Army’s capabilities for very simple reasons – when you get used to engaging in issues other than your professional calling, you are bound to fail in a real professional examination. In the case at hand, schools in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo – and part of the South-South – Delta State got thrown into a state of confusion as rumours of a killer vaccine made the rounds. How did a “medical outreach” turn into a “dangerous rumour”? Let us not forget that the area of the country concerned in this case is one in which we are trying to encourage an increase in the number of male students due to their attachment to” business mentality”. The heads of our military setup surely have a real task on their hands in order to bring back the respect the populace used to have for them. I can remember I used to enjoy passing through the Abalti Barracks in Lagos as a young pupil because of the way the military treat me and my colleagues whenever they saw us. They even manage to produce some of their portions of allocated meals for us to enjoy with them. We were always very happy to go and watch the Military Games in the Barracks to see Military Sportsmen like Inua Rigogo – that tall lanky beauty of a goal-keeper in the games and so on. And that makes me to wonder; “when did this sudden strange relationship between the people and the Nigerian Army begin and what and who is behind it”? If this type of relationship continues this way, what would happen if Nigeria suddenly finds itself in a war against a foreign aggressor? Will the Army fight such a war successfully without the support of the civilian populace? Even in the most advanced nations of this world, the Army in times of war still relies to a good extent on the co-operation and support of its civilian populace. I remember that my parents used to tell me that “A word is enough for the wise”.

There is a saying that goes thus; “When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Gets Going”. That is exactly what happened in the game between Ecuador and Argentina in the 2018 World Cup Qualification match played between the two countries just a few hours back. A lot had been said about the possible failure of Argentina to qualify for Russia 2018 World Cup Competition with many ready to heap most of the blame on a Lionel Messi who had ensured that his country even got this outside chance for qualification to the tournament in the first place. Just take a look through the qualifying matches and you will discover that matches played without him either ended in draws or worse still, outright defeats to teams that are far below Argentina’s soccer pedigree. But then as expected of the quiet giant that he is, Lionel Messi came out firing on all cylinders to silence all his known and unknown enemies by single-handedly qualifying his country for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia by scoring an unforgettable hat-trick in the final qualifying game in the South American zone for Argentina. Marvellous Merciless Messi had to first of all watch one Romario Ibarra score the first goal of the game for the hosts, Ecuador in the very first minute of the game! The little giant must have decided at that moment to play the game of his life as he went on to score a hat-trick that will remain indelible in the minds of soccer fans across the globe especially the Argentinian ones. The F.C. Barcelona star took the Ecuadorian side apart with three beautiful goals scored in the 11th, 18th and 62nd minutes to silence all the prophets of doom that were waiting in the wings to publish a sensational exit of the star and his Argentinian team from the qualifications series. The importance of this hat-trick can only better be understood by taking a cursory look at the position of the Argentinian team on the table of the South American Qualifying zone before this epic match. There you will find out the many variables that could have sent Argentina packing or at best qualifying for a play-off game. But then Merciless Mercy had a different opinion and other important things on his mind as he decided to put all permutations to rest and move on with his life as he has some other challenges to overcome especially with his beloved F.C. Barcelona of Spain. Or is it of Catalonia now? You surely see what I mean now with the phrase “other challenges”. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-ecuador-vs-argentina-marvelous-messi-messes-up-ecuador-with-a-hat-trick/

It was surely a day of wild jubilation yesterday in Nigeria as the Super Eagles secured the much sought after ticket to next year’s World Cup Competition taking place in Russia. The solitary goal scored by substitute Alex Iwobi in the 74th minute of the game proved to be the decisive goal after the hosts had squandered lots of begging chances in the course of the game. Kudos must be given to the visitors for their spirited opposition despite playing away against a team that had the whole stadium routing for it. They even succeeded in scoring a goal that was adjudged an offside one before the hosts scored theirs. The game was a highly explosive one until the 74th minute when Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi managed to calm the nerves of the host fans with a goal that is worth millions of dollars right now. Iwobi had been brought in to replace Moses Simon in what proved to be a decisive decision by the Super Eagles coach Gereard Rohr. This goal of course sent the home crowd into an ecstatic round of jubilation that could be felt across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Three minutes of added time however meant that the crowd had to sweat through it before finally getting the right to go into real wild jubilation that must have lasted all through the night into the early hours of this morning. As it stands right now on the table, Nigeria has acquired an unassailable 13 points from five games played in Group B leaving Zambia who are the nearest opponents in the group with 7 points with just one more game to play in the qualifiers. In the other game played in the group, Cameroun defeated Algeria by two goals to one with goals coming from Clinton Njie in the 25th minute and Franck Pangop Tchidjui in the 88th minutes respectively. We at Uneekomunikations heartily felicitate with the Super Eagles for qualifying for the 2018 World Cup Competition to be hosted by Russia and wish them a very successful outing out there next year. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-nigerias-super-eagles-qualifies-for-2018-world-cup-competition/

Jos is in the news again for the wrong reasons as a security guard has been jailed for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a six-year-old girl. The accused, a 40-year-old man who goes by the name Francis Gyang was on Wednesday presented before a Jos Upper Area Court on the charges of defiling a minor. He was found guilty as charged and consequently sentenced to four years imprisonment by the presiding judge. The Judge, Mr Yahaya Mohammed, convicted the accused Francis Gyang for forcefully having carnal knowledge of the six-year-old girl and sentenced him to a four-year-jail term without an option of a fine. The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ibrahim Gukwat, informed the court that the accused security guard had on the 21st day of September, 2017 lured the young innocent girl to his room and forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. This act according to him, is an offence contrary to Section 282 of the Penal Code and asked the court to met out punitive measures on the accused accordingly. The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge and begged the court for justice to be tempered with mercy http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-security-guard-jailed-in-jos-for-raping-a-6-year-old-girl/

The fears expressed in our earlier posts about the possibility of LaLiga losing one of their best football teams - F.C. Barcelona - and the much coveted "El-Clasico" clashes seems to be looming larger by the day as one of the fall-outs of the way the Catalonia Referendum was handled by the Spanish Authorities. Add that to the way some Spanish Fans reacted to Gerard Pique's stand on the issue and you find that Spain has a serious problem on its hands that need to be handled with care. To make matters a bit more scary, F.C. Barcelona's President has now come out to say that there is a possibility of the elite club pulling out of the LaLiga altogether. The president Josep Maria Bartomeu said the club would have to discuss the possibility of leaving LaLiga if Catalonia gained independence from Spain. Bartomeu revealed that F.C. Barcelona's future in the LaLiga would need to be discussed in the event that Catalonia ever gained independence. "This situation does not exist so far," according to the president. "But with regards to things that can happen in the future, it is something that the board of directors would discuss. It would be something to analyse calmly", he further said. "If we discuss the subject intensely then obviously we will find the best solution. But if this [independence] happens, the board of directors will see", he added. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-f-c-barcelona-may-leave-la-liga-bartomeu/

Earlier today, we posted an article concerning the Catalonian Referendum, the reaction of the Spanish Authorities to it and very importantly for football followers, the possible implication of this for Spanish Soccer, the El-Clasico, and related matters. If you missed the post, please read it here now; Catalona Vote – Have We Seen The Last Of “El-Clasico”? Well, as the situation stands now, all parties will surely have to thread carefully as some very important personalties have started to voice their opinions on what is happening in Catalonia, the reactions from Madrid and the possible implications of all that is going on in that part of the European Union presently. The latest of such people is no other than the giant defender for the Spanish National Football Team who plays for F.C. Barcelona – Gerard Pique himself. He has reportedly said that he is ready to quit playing for the Spanish National Football Team if he is forced to do so as a result of the present situation in the country. Right here below is a video of the defender talking about the situation with reporters. If things go the way the people of Catalonia are asking for, then the football world may just have seen the last of “El-Clasico” in its current format. The only possibility of watching anything close to it will be in an international format, most likely in the European Champions’ League Competition. If the way the referendum held yesterday in Catalonia and the reaction of the Spanish Authorities to it is anything to go by, then the situation is not looking too promising. One would have thought that the aftermath of the referendum would have been somewhat more civil than what actually took place, with hundreds injured in an event that took place in the heart of Europe. Spanish police officers in riot gear were seen using rubber bullets and truncheons against an otherwise peaceful crowd in their attempts to shut down polling stations and seize ballot boxes. It was quite a show of shame that reminds one of situations more likely to happen in third world countries. The attacks by the police of course destroyed what had been planned as a festival of some sort for the expectant voters, many of whom had camped inside polling stations and stayed late into Sunday night, so as to prevent the possibility of officers seizing ballot boxes. Their fears turned into an unwelcome reality as the policemen attacked them injuring hundreds, forcefully closing polling stations and seizing ballot boxes in the melee that eventually ensued. In a show of defiance, voting went ahead in many towns and cities, with men and women, young and old, singing and chanting as they lined up for hours to cast their ballots. At the end of it all, the Spanish Government declared the referendum null and void while their Catalonian counterparts declared the referendum a clear success, claiming that some 90 percent of the eligible voters had turned up and cast their votes at the referendum. Whatever happens between these two forces at the end of the day, what really concerns the football fans across the world can be aptly coined into a simple question. “Are we still going to be able to watch El-Clasico” in its present format in the near future”? If things get real bad, then that question might just become “Are we ever going to witness another ‘El-Clasico’ again”? Hmmnn, that is surely a grim thing to imagine! http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-catalona-vote-have-we-seen-the-last-of-el-clasico/

farem:Which Man-Slaughter? At worst, this is "Penis-Slaughter". The Nigerian Police is the worst I have ever come across. Many of them are demons in uniform. Not all of them, take note. |
As is usual for some time now, it was an explosive but highly entertaining day as far as the British Premier League matches are concerned. Of course, the team with more reasons to laugh their way home is Manchester City who not only remained at the number one spot on the table ahead of their city rivals, Manchester United but did so in grand style by thumping hapless Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium Raheem Sterling helping himself to a brace in the game while the rest of the goals came from Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero and Fabian Delph. On the heels of Manchester City at least in terms of goals scored, are the defending champions Chelsea F.C. who were equally ruthless in dispatching Stoke City 4-0. Theirs was somewhat more remarkable in nature as they recorded this enviable feat away from home. Even more remarkable is the fact that their newly acquired striker, Alvaro Morata has not wasted time in acclimatizing to the Premiership style of football after moving in from Spain just a few weeks back. This former Real Madrid striker proved his worth once again as he scored a hat-trick in today’s game leaving his competitors wondering what next to expect from him in the coming weeks and months.Pedro Rodriguez another Spanish import, scored the other goal for F.C. Chelsea in the game. Present Top Goal Scorers; Player Team Goal Penalty goals First goals R. Lukaku Man Utd 6 2 S. Agüero Man City 5 3 Gabriel Jesus Man City 4 1 H. Alli Tottenham 2 2 Marcos Alonso Chelsea 2 1 Roberto Firmino Liverpool 2 1 1 One of the natural title contenders, Manchester United had their hands full in their away game against a real stubborn Southampton and had their newly acquired striker, Romelu Lukaku to thank for a hard-fought victory as he scored the solitary goal for his team in the 20th minute of the game. This victory means they go top of the table with their rivals from across the city but remain in the second position courtesy inferior goals difference. In an earlier played game, Tottenham Spurs struggled their through to an away victory over a hard-fighting West Ham United whom they defeated by three goals to two courtesy goals from “Mr Reliable” Harry Kane who scored a brace and one from Christian Eriksen. The hosts scored through Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate. The game was almost marred as Serge Aurier got his marching orders in the 70th minute after getting his second yellow card of the game. In the other games played this evening, F.C. Burnley were held to a goaless draw at home by an impressive Huddersfield Town while Everton finally found their feet when they defeated AFC Bournemouth by a narrow 2-1. Swansea City on the other hand lost at home 1-2 to a resurgent Watford F.C. In the same vein in the last game of the day, Leicester City lost at home 2-3 to F.C. Liverpool as Philippe Coutinho finally scored his first goal for his team since the aborted transfer saga involving him. The other two goals were scored by Mohammed Salah and Jordan Henderson. The goals for Leicester came courtesy Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy. More Details @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-latest-premier-league-news-and-results/

Only God can say, what the world is turning into these days. Atrocities abound virtually everywhere and in every unbelievable format. The latest trending one for sometime now is that of nannies abusing toddlers. No matter what the situation is that made you to apply for the job of a nanny, there is no excuse for you to abuse a toddler or any kid put in your care with payment attached to the job. Unfortunately, many people seem to apply for this job just because of the remuneration attached to it. The worse part of it all is that the atrocities are being committed by ladies and young women! These are people who are hoping to get a child of their own in future for God’s sake! Will it be right for God to give such people their own children in future? No wonder many women are running from pillar to post in search of blessing of the womb these days. Only God knows their past deeds! In the most recent case uncovered, a Namibian mother who goes by the name Annemarie Theron has taken her nanny to court after catching her on camera abusing her 9-month-old baby. The mother in question noticed bruises and scratches on her baby’s neck and could not come up with any reason for them. This is what she had to say; After that I sat at work, thinking about my daughter the entire day. That’s when I decided to install cameras, so that I could see what was happening when I’m not at home. After fixing the cameras without the nanny’s knowledge, Annemarie Theron returned home to watch the footage and she almost fainted at what she saw on the screen before her. She saw how the nanny not only literarily threw the baby into its cot but worse still, later lifted it from there with one leg just like a rag doll! She narrated her ordeal this way; It was very emotional watching it. I refused to sleep, eat or drink for a couple of days afterward. It’s difficult to imagine how long this has been going on for. I can see Laila is so, so broken after everything. The visibly shocked mother decided to report the matter at a police station. And this what she had to say about that; It was quite a process, as I had to confirm with a mediator what it would mean if I made the recordings without her (the nanny’s) knowledge. The police were initially hesitant about the charges, but wanted to arrest the woman immediately after seeing the footage. I don’t want her near my child ever again, or to pose a threat to other children. What happened was horrible to witness. I realised Laila has nightmares. It was comforting to see how many people supported us. Thanks to everyone, family, friends, and strangers, it means a great deal. Friends, please see for yourselves what took place in the mother’s absence and jugde for yourselves. For the Republic of Benin’s team to the 2017 WAFU Cup Competition, it must have seemed like “Lightening Striking Twice” as they were sent packing at the semi-final stage by “perennial tormentors” Nigeria. It must be remembered that it is this same Nigerian team that defeated them in the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers following a 2-1 aggregate win. And so, it was like an opportunity to avenge that defeat when they got paired at the semi-final stage of the WAFU Cup Competition. It was however not going to be as the hungry Home-Based Super Eagles once again proved their superiority over the Benin Team. They ensured qualification for the final of the 2017 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations by defeating the Benin Republic team 1-0 in the first semi-final game played at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana. Kano Pillars’ Rabiu Ali did the damage in the very first half of the game as he scored the solitary but very important goal for his team to send the opponents back to their hotel for some “baggage packing” exercise. He finished off a very fantastic pass from Anthony Okpodu in the 11 minute of the game to ensure victory for the home-based Eagles. The rest of the game can be described as a game of the titans as both teams went at each with dexterity but missed chances on both sides ensured that the scoreline remained 1-0 in favour of the Nigerian side. The Nigerian side will next square off with the winners of the second semi-final between Ghana and Niger Republic in Sunday’s final match for the ultimate prize of the competition. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-nigeria-1-0-benin-republic/

It was a night to forget yesterday at the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid! I won’t be surprised if a few fans have not even slept since last night. No one saw it coming except maybe, the Real Betis players and their coach. What the Almighty F.C. Barcelona could not do of recent at the Bernabeu, F.C. Betis did yesterday and I can imagine them now grinning from ear to ear. Who in his normal senses would have predicted that the Almighty Real Madrid with all their stars available including the returning reigning World Player of the Year 2017, Cristiano Ronaldo would be defeated right on their own turf at the Bernabeu not by F.C. Barcelona nor by probably a Juventus or F.C. Paris St. Germain but by a usual LaLiga mid table team such as Real Betis? But then, that is exactly what happened yesterday night at the dreaded Bernabeu Stadium in the Spanish capital city. In order to fully understand the implication of this defeat, it is worthy of note to let you know that this is the first time since 1998 that Real Betis beat Real Madrid at this very Santiago Bernabeu stadium! In a match that was expected to be a welcome back celebration in honour of the returning Cristiano Ronaldo, a last minute strike from one Antonio Sanabria of Real Betis condemned Real Madrid to an unusual and unforgettable defeat at the hands of a Real Betis team that probably also had problems going to sleep last night for a different and much more positive reason. Antonio Sanabria can be described as an abnormal human being if he slept normally last night. That is, if he ever slept last night. For the records still, this is the first time since 26 April, 2016 that Real Madrid have also failed to score in a game. That is a period covering 74 matches in which they had always scored at least a goal! As it stands now, Real Madrid by virtue of this “famous loss”, have now dropped to the seventh position in the LaLiga with eight points from five games. F.C. Barcelona were on rampage on Tuesday night as they virtually tore apart F.C. Eibar in a LaLiga match played at the Nou Camp. Barca were simply in a no non-sense mood as they demolished the visiting team by six goals to one with the “Merciless” Messi scoring four goals in the game. The mercurial striker has now scored his 28th hat-trick in the LaLiga. The first goal came through a penalty in the 20th minute after Alejandro Galvez was penalized for a foul on Nelson Semedo as Messi calmly slotted the ball into the net. Thereafter, a Paulinho that was playing his first game from the beginning of a LaLiga match for Barca added his name to the goal-scorers’ list in the 38th minute. This was his second goal for F.C. Barcelona since he joined the team from China. Paulinho scored on his first full start for Barcelona Then came a Denis Suarez who also ensured he got on to the score sheet with a goal in the 53rd minute of the game. Eibar thereafter managed to pull a goal back in the 57th minute through Sergi Enrich to give themselves some encouragement. All of that however were dampened by a Lionel Messi that made up his mind to show his detractors that his game is not on a down-hill trend as some have been speculating. He did this in a spectacular manner by scoring a hat-trick in 28th minutes (59th, 62nd and 82nd minutes) of the second half to put the game beyond the sight of the visitors. This result made F.C. Barcelona to move five points clear at the top of La Liga as they await the results from the other matches to be decided later today. Nigeria’s Home-Based Super Eagles have been drawn to play against Benin Republic in the semi-final stage of the on-going West African Football Union games. It will be recalled that the team qualified for the semi-final stage with a crucial 2-0-win on Monday night over the Black Stars of Ghana with goals coming from Anthony Okpotu who broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute before Peter Eneji scored a second for Nigeria. The Republic of Benin qualified to face the Eagles by defeating Niger Republic by two goals to one in the final game of Group B which saw them topping the group with six points. Niger came second in that same group and therefore also qualified for the semi-final stage where they will be facing hosts Ghana. The match between Nigeria and Benin is a repeat pairing as both teams met recently in the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) with the home-based Super Eagles coming out victorious 2-1 on goals aggregate. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-nigeria-set-to-face-benin-in-wafu-cup-semi-finals/

It has not been a palatable week for Wayne Rooney. He got arrested for drink driving just some time back. Then he and his new team Everton F.C. got the thrashing of their lives only yesterday evening as Manchester United took them to the cleaners with a 4-0 thrashing. And today, a court found Wayne Rooney guilty of the charges brought against him earlier on in the drink driving case and sentenced him to a two year driving ban. Added to that is an order to carry out 100 hours of work without pay. Oh Dearie! The Everton striker had been stopped by police on 1st September in the early hours of the day where he was found to have been driving at nearly three times over the allowed speed limit and eventually discovered to have had some104 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100ml of his breath. The allowed limit stands at 35 microgrammes. Rooney has however apologised to family, friends and fans for “letting them down very badly” (as he put it) after pleading guilty to the charges. As at the time of the incidence, his pregnant wife, Coleen was away on holiday with the couple’s three sons. The District Judge John Temperley had the following to say; “This was a serious offence that you admitted. You were driving a motor vehicle nearly three times the limit. “You were carrying a passenger, which is an aggravating factor.” The judge added: “You are a young man with no similar previous convictions. “I have read a bundle of character references handed in on your behalf and they speak very highly of you as a person. I accept your remorse is genuine.” Wayne Rooney’s solicitor, Michael Rainford on his own part said “Wayne Rooney wishes to express his genuine remorse for what was a terrible mistake, a terrible error of judgement on his part that evening. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-wayne-rooney-banned-from-driving-for-two-years/

It surely seems as if the transfer period challenges that trailed the F.C. Barcelona is still haunting them as their new acquisition, Ousmane Dembele started a game fir the team in La Liga for the first time and promptly got injured just 29 minutes into the game. It will be remembered that the player got transferred to F.C. Barcelona for a whopping €105 million after a very protracted series of negotiations with a clearly unhappy Borussia Dortmund. The player virtually forced his exit from the German team. On Saturday, he spent just 29 minutes on the field of play in the away match against Getafe before being replaced by Gerard Deulofeu as a result of what has been reported as a hamstring injury. He got injured as he tried to do a back heel of the ball near the corner flag. F.C Barcelona officials went on to confirm that the 20-year-old had suffered the problem in his left hamstring. He is now due to undergo further tests in order to determine the severity of his injury. Only then would the real nature of the injury be ascertained and also how long he would have to stay out of competitions. The Manager of the team, Ernesto Valverde had this to say to pressmen later on; “He is going to have to spend some time on the sidelines”. He further said; “It is a muscle problem. We think it is a tear, but we will do more tests on Sunday. “It is a shame because he was just getting up to scratch with the team’s dynamic. We hope he won’t be out for a long time.” Luckily for F.C. Barcelona, it was not all tales of woe as they went on to win the game in question by defeating Getafe 2-1 with the goals coming from Gaku Shibasaki for Getafe in the 39th minute and then Denis Suarez who came off the bench to equalize for Barca in the 62nd minute. This was followed by the winning goal which came off the boots of Paulinho (who also came off the bench) in the 84th minute. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-f-c-barcelona-loses-dembele-to-injury-in-first-la-liga-start/

ISIS otherwise known as the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast that occured at the Parsons Green Tube station in London yesterday. The terrorist group’s news agency (Amaq) reported this on Friday evening. The attack has prompted the Authorities in London to raise the threat level in Britain from severe to critical as the hunt for bomber continues. The bomber had timed his nefarious act to coincide with the rush-hour tube train packed with school children and other commuters. CCTV images captured the bomber as he boarded the train with the weapon packed in a white plastic bucket inside a Lidl supermarket bag. The train is also believed to have had on-board CCTV and all of that is being presently studied by the Police Department. In the incidence itself, reports have it that twenty-nine people including a young boy were injured by the blast. Luckily, nobody suffered any form of life-threatening injuries in the incident. The British Prime Minister, Theresa May immediately addressed the nation on Friday evening to commiserate with the injured and affected citizens. She went on to say said the UK terror threat level was being raised to its highest rating and that armed police and members of the military would be seen on the streets in the coming days. The PM not only described the attack as cowardly but also had this to say, “For this period, military personnel will replace police officers on guard duties at certain protected sites that are not accessible to the public,” she said. “The public will see more armed police on the transport network and on our streets, providing extra protection. This is a proportionate and sensible step which will provide extra reassurance and protection while the investigation progresses.” http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-isis-bombs-london-underground-train-station/

Nigeria has always and will always be a wonderful country among the comity of nations. Right now, it is once again showing the world why it is wonderfully “arranged”. For an example, it is the only country I know where soldiers serve as policemen, traffic wardens, warrant officers, errand boys, tax collectors and the likes. It makes one wonder who will be deployed to battle in case of an external aggression. Oh, sorry, I forgot. Nigeria imports everything including Chewing Sticks and so, will probably import some soldiers in case of an external aggression. No wonder the border towns between Nigeria and Cameroun has been taken over by the Camerounian Gendarmes and the Nigerian citizens there now live as tenants in their own land. Does anyone still wonder why Boko Haram still thrives in its obnoxious trade? Why its leader Shekau has been reportedly killed so many times and yet continues to prove that point wrong? Nigeria is one of the few countries with some of the best doctors in the world who easily find jobs in the advanced countries such as the United States of America and the United Kingdom while it cannot boast of one well-equipped hospital good enough to handle medical cases of even the least of its leaders. Its President has been shuttling between London and Abuja for months now because of medical issues. Talking about its leaders, it is the only country I know in the world that has a good chunk of well educated citizens who are respected home and abroad but end up having “another category” of its citizens always governing the nation. What is Nigeria truly expecting from such a setup? Funny enough, some of the so-called educated elites in the country are solidly behind this lop-sided arrangement in the name of selfishness. This is the category I always refer to as the “educated” illiterates. Nigeria is also the only nation that I know of which so much loves cows (India has been displaced from the first position now) that they have access to virtually everywhere including the country’s highways and in some more interesting cases, even Pedestrian Bridges! When we take a look at the religious sector, this country called Nigeria is the leading nation in the whole wide world with the highest number of Churches, Mosques and other religious places of worship as well as religious leaders. Yet, the worst forms of atrocities are committed daily in this very same environment and many of these crimes are perpetrated or supported by the so-called religious leaders. As at today, I make bold to say that Nigeria presently stands at a “Turning Point”. Whatever decisions and actions taken or fail to be taken by the authorities at this point in time will determine to a long way, what happens to this geographical arrangement named Nigeria. A word our elders say, is enough for the wise. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-nigeria-is-truly-a-wonderful-country/

“A hungry man is an angry man”, goes a saying. Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday night proved this saying right as he “devoured” Apoel Nicosa with two goals on the night. It will be remembered that Ronaldo has not had the chance to play a competitive game for Real Madrid for sometime now due to the 5-match ban placed on him by the Spanish F.A. The European Champions’ League game against Apoel Nicosia surely provided him the opportunity to vent out his frustration as he went on to score a brace in that match as the defending champions got off to blazing start to this 2017/2018 edition of the Champions’ League. Ronaldo’s first goal came from close range as he slotted the ball past the hapless Apoel goal tender. He then added a second goal from the penalty spot as Real cruised to a comfortable home victory. The Zinedine Zidane-tutored side wasted no time in showing their intentions of retaining the title once again by thrashing the visiting side by three unreplied goals. The other goal was scored by Sergio Ramos. This win moved Real Madrid to the top of the log in their group on goals difference ahead of Tottenham Hotspurs who were able to defeat Borussia Dortmund on the same night by 3 goals to 1. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-cristiano-ronaldo-scores-a-brace-against-apoel-nicosia/

In a few minutes time, Real Madrid will take on Apoel Nicosia in a first leg Champions’ League match at the Bernabeu and one player the fans will be very interested in knowing if his name is on the squad list is a gentleman who goes by the name Cristiano Ronaldo alias CR7 or simply known in some circles as “Christie”. This young man has not had the opportunity to play for Real Madrid since their last game against F.C. Barcelona due to a five-match ban that was “gifted” him by the Spanish Football Association for being too “cosy” with the center referee as he gave the official “a gentle, friendly shove in the small of the man’s back after being booked for what seemed to be a dive in that fateful game. Anyway, the good news for the Real Madrid fans is that “Christie” will be participating fully in this evening’s proceedings and no one will blame them for expecting a goal or two from their soccer idol. The line-up for today’s match is as follows; Real Madrid: Keylor Navas 2 Daniel Carvajal 6 Nacho Fernandez 4 Sergio Ramos 12 Marcelo 10 Luka Modric 14 Casemiro 23 Mateo Kovacic 22 Isco 7 Cristiano Ronaldo 11 Gareth Bale Read Also Uneekomunikations - Real Madrid Face An Uphill Task Against Napoli Apoel Nicosia: 6 Lorenzo Ebecilio 9 Igor de Camargo 46 Efstathios Aloneftis 16 Vinicius 26 Nuno Morais 20 Roland Sallai 3 Roberto Lago 50 Carlao 5 Jesus Rueda 29 Praxitelis Vouros Boy Waterman http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-real-madrid-vs-apoel-nicosia-match-news/

Plateau State wakes up this morning to the fact that what happened yesterday is not a dream but reality. Yes, the state's foremost soccer team, the Plateau United are actually the 2017 NPFL Winners! A lot of people celebrated quite far into the night and so, many churches will be missing a number of their members this morning but it is all for good. On the other hand, many proprietors of Drinking Joints will wake up later this morning to start counting their profits and a few broken bottles and glasses here and there. On the sporting side, the new league champions have been receiving lots of accolades and congratulatory messages from all corners and even from their closest rivals in this year's competition - MFM of Lagos. The Coach of MFM, Fidelis Illechukwu, described the Plateau United team as worthy champions. The Plateau United Football Club made history yesterday as they trounced the Rangers International by two unreplied goals to make history as they have now won the Nigerian Professional Football League Title for the very first time in the club's history. It is such a remarkable feat that the whole state is still reeling from the celebrations that engulfed it since yesterday evening. It is worthy of note to mention the fact that not only has the Plateau United won the NPFL Title, but have also won the right to play in the next edition of the African Champions' League competition as Nigeria's Champions. All of this happening in the very first season they spent in the Nigerian Premier League after coming back from relegation to the second division. It is really a multi-faceted achievement for the Jos-based team whichever way one decides to look at it. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-plateau-united-are-champions/

For the very first time in many years now, the Nigerian Professional Football League Champions will not be known until the very last second of the competition. The last round of matches take place tomorrow and until they have all ended, no one can say who the winners are and who the relegated teams are. This is one competition that has been so highly rated like never before in the history of modern Nigerian Football and kudos must go to the untiring efforts of the League Management Board that has continuously improved on their efforts year in, year out. As it stands presently, most interest is in who finally wins the prestigious title. Interestingly, whIchever of both teams (Plateau United and MFM) wins it, will be doing so for the very first time in their history. The odds slightly favour Plateau United in the sense that they will be playing at home in front of their teeming fans, state and national dignitaries. However apart the fact that it may put the team under unusual pressure, the other challenge is the fact that they are playing against a resurgent and very experienced side in Rangers International of Enugu. The players will just have to find a way of finding full concentration on the game if they are to come out tops tomorrow. On the other hand, MFM is also not going to have it easy in their own schedule against an El-Kanemi side that has never lost at home this season. The best any team has been able to get against them at that fortress of a stadium is a draw. Unless something seriously unexpected happens, they expect to win this particular game which will serve as a way of thanking their home fans for their support in the course of a reasonably good season for them. Taking into account all of the above stated facts, the chances of winning the coveted NPFL Title is slightly in favour of the Jos-based side, Plateau United who presently lead the standings by a point above the Lagos-based “prayer warriors” MFM. http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-npfl-title-goes-to-the-wire-plateau-united-or-mfm/

A lot has been said about the recent declaration that Nigeria is out of recession. It is no gain-saying that many Nigerians were not happy with that declaration and were quick to voice their disagreement with it in various forms and at different fora. Now, a well-known Nigerian Politician and a man of “Timber and Caliber” has come out to give his own opinion on the issue at hand. He is no other than the very former Vice President and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Atiku Abubakar. According to the APC chieftain, the country cannot truly claim to have exited recession if Nigerians cannot eat three square meals per day. The Wazirin Adamawa further went on to say; “as a Nigerian investor and employer of labour, the news of Nigeria’s official emergence from recession is a most welcome development”. He however quickly added; “When all Nigerians can eat three square meals, that’s when the real recession ends. We have work to do”. While he was of the opinion that the development is however a boost for Nigeria, as “it tells investors, local and foreign, that our economy is worth investing in”, he also noted that “it is important to recognize that the economic weakness at the bottom of the pyramid remains, adding that inflation is still high. He rounded up his presentation with the following words of advice; “We must continue working hard to expand economic opportunity for all Nigerians”, http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-atiku-abubakar-makes-a-realistic-statement-on-recession-debate/
