Then it was slanged to dundee

Then parodied as dundee united because of the club
You mean to tell me, after all this, Dundees actually gather inside a club to promote their stupidity?

what u have shown here is a working system.... d issue is our foundational process of education primary secondary dat ought to be top notch is in shambles...lets face it...with a good secondary and at most ist degree or diploma one should be able to stand any ground and do big things...someday we has to reset this country or the country will reset itself....after d saturation point....
I pray for your generation. You guys have this "Entitlement" mentality.
They should give me. They should give me...
-
You need to change that mentality .
My wife was born in Okokomaiko, in Lagos. The bullsh1t capital of Nigeria.
She went to a bullsh1t school with bullsh1t everything. And their bullsh1t teacher told all of them that they are all stupid and foolish and all of them will end up useless in life.
My wife, then a little girl decided to start reading all her books. She purchased the prospectus of primary school and read all the books complete without waiting for teacher. No NEPA, no phone . no TV. She began scoring first position in class.

She used the same tactic in secondary school. Purchase the prospectus, gather the books, buy from market, collect from senior students. Read all. First position

She did the same for University.... She got 2.1 because her department didn't want to give her 1st class.

She joined UAC and was doing food quality inspection.. She's a a food tech graduate.
Somebody told her about scholarship for masters. She browsed the site and submitted her documents. And they gave her. €33,000 scholarship in Europe
..
Remember, her parents are still living in Okomomaiko the bullsh1t neighborhood.

She travelled yo Europe, and did the masters. And saved the money.

I knew here from Nigeria University. Before she travelled. I was overseas when when came there. We look ourself, informed our parents and married in UK.

Guy, you have to be like the animals.
Maybe you haven't seen, but I have personally witnessed right here in my compound, lizard digs the ground and lays eggs inside. After some months, the baby lizard hatches from the egg and comes out of the ground.
No father, no mother, no government.... Nothing. That tiny lizard start to run about my compound looking for food and shelter and escaping the eyes of preying hawks that can swoop down and eat it. A few months down the line, that lizard has survived and grown and is toasting another female lizard. They do their hanky-panky and another egg is laid. The old lizard goes somewhere and dies of (lizard) old age.
It has lived a complete lizard life from birth to old age without any government intervention in his life all inside my compound, under my nose
...
Uncle, make employment O. Stop crying for government.

got admitted into federal uni in 2013 to study my dream course (engineering)
. Was best in department after first yr .
Found out i was scammed in second yr.
My high school lab was better than our uni workshop.
My high school teachers better than our lecturers .
Dropped out in 2nd yr (2015) with my #20, 000 in savings.
was rejected by friends n family .
Today am happy with 6 figures monthly .
We put too much emphasis on STUDYING engineering and no emphasis on BEING an Engineer.
The university will use minimal equipment and cost top push you out and stamp BSc to paper and give you.
If you want BE an engineer, go and buy your tools and fabricate whatever by yourself. Buy your laptop and download your Software and solve some problems

Be good with yourself and at what you do. That is what will earn you money for your life
If you do later study Engineering in school, you will still come out and depend on that laptop and your personal tools to get things done.

You are truely right, and no employment is another thing that makes 90% of students today to lose focus in their studies. In order to resolve the issue,i would advice that students should browse foreign engineering textbooks online which is the internet and try to use their knowledge to their advantage.
The solution to No Employment is to MAKE employment.

Remember that this country already imports 90% of what we need, there isn't much demand for manufacturing. And as a result. Not much demand for Engineers to monitor to manufacturing.

You don't want to just be practicing Engineering.
What you want is to Earn money.
EducationRe: Is Studying Engineering In Nigeria A Scam? by uuzba(m): 11:01am On Apr 14, 2019
ifada123:
The knowledge we get from electrical engineering is very practical, the problem is that you can't see materials to work with in making designs that will make you innovative as those in the western world (I made a foot detector foot match immediately I graduated, it was not pleasing to the yes,no material to work with no machinery for finishing),
In engineering you are supposed to be taught the basic principles and you as an engineer will think on what to invent with it,
Engineering is not meant to copy, as an average Nigerian engineer want it to be,
They prefer you teach then how the I iPhone X max was design and let them make it, rather than learn how telephone, integrated circutry, displays, cells, and design, allong with order basic needed knowledge,
That was why one richdad ask me to go and make robot rather than learning about circle, when the robot become faulty I will be lost in the ocean.
I don't see Nigeria improving in technology soon.
Why
(1) the supposed theorem we don't even understand it in in-depth
(2) that is the way the lecturer were taught.
(3) for the few engineer that understand it they don't have materials to implement it
In western world, there are a lot of industries.
Nothing stops a kid from going into one such industry to take a job as janitor (sweep and mop floor), from there he can be seeing what is going on in the industry. All those movies you watch that one kid will construct one kind machine in the basement or backyard or inside his room.... That is part 2.
When the kid is fully practically oriented, he has tools and knows how to connect and fabricate and can even go to the factory to do some kuru-kere work with the professional, then he he can go and study his Engineering.

If he applies to that company for job, they will take him because they already know he is practically oriented.
.
The bottom line here is: BE AN ENGINEER.
Stop expecting university to MAKE YOU an Engineer.

Dollywood:
Educational system in Nigeria is trash, u only learn theories. In here we only read and study for grades don't expect much.. The country is backward the best way is to study engineering aboard for more outstanding practical knowledge. Pray for Nigeria
I studied Engineering as my first degree in Nigeria, then went overseas to do a Masters degree.
When overseas, I decided to be very observant of this white people and their ways.
1. It so happened that the actual British guys do not do Masters. It is we international people, Africa, ,China, India, that travel to do Masters in their Uni.
2. Their B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree somehow consisted of many of the things we were doing in our Masters. Some lectures they would enter the class with us.
3. They began learning 3D computer modeling right from 1st year. We were learning same in Masters.
4. Our professor, showed us some pictures of some machine/hydraulic thing that he personally constructed out of interest before he even entered University. He said he just like fixing and fabricating things. And that's what drove him become an Engineer.
-
After these observations, I finally understood.
Studying Engineering is different from being an Engineer.
You have to first BE an Engineer before you study it.
Get your hands dirty in many practical things. Read books by yourself. Do attachment by the yourself.
It is this your tenacity and ability to do things and work with people that will get you on in life.
The degree is just alphabet.

The scam in Nigerian Engineering education it that nobody ever tells you that you really should own tools and have a workshop, fabricating things, before you even come to start the Engineering degree course.

Nigerian youth watch TV and expect to live foreign lives here in Nigeria, without doing their ground work.
I just gave you real figures and examples of what it takes for a person in Nigeria today to have electricity in their home.

You are here promoting electronic equipment that you cannot manufacture.

The foreign countries that you see using all these equipment, they actually manufacture such equipment in their own industries.

This is why I said some people need to be sent to Guinea Bissau because their own reasoning/logic is of no use to their fellow Nigerians.

My house is dirty.
So I go to purchase a generator of N150,000
Then purchase petrol.
The gen gives fault. So I get a man to fix it.
Later, I purchase solar panels, batteries and an inverter system total cost N1,100,000
I purchase a 10kva staliliser of N100,000 for the whole house so that NEPA does surprise me with useless voltages.
-
Now, I go and purchase the vacuum cleaner to dust my house.

The other man that purchased N500 broom and packer and swept his house, what advantage do
I have over him apart from wasting N2,000,000 worth of electrical equipment because I want to sweep my parlour?

Why do we blacks have much respect for white skin peoplehuh? Common South Africa here is chasing us from their country and this bleached he goat is forming odunga in our country......to slap the beast just dey hungry me
The reason for this is because, white skinned people always seem to live in coordination. Everybody obeys the same laws and faces same consequences.
The blacks in SA, due to their long suffering of apartheid, and the refusal of the white people to leave their land, have also be conditioned this same way.
Nigeria has many tribes and villages clashing with each other.
Each tribe/village is OK by itself. But joining everything together into one Nigeria, is causing a lot of friction and double standards.
As a nation, we end up uncoordinated and disjointed. The moment, Nigerians go overseas, all the incoordination and disunity ends and we start doing well.
This is why we fear white skinned people.
