Goggle is the biggest ‘amebo’ of the moment. |
The conversation killer brought to you by the letter ‘K’ |
Some of us wanted to own gun legally and they refused to issue licences to law abidding citizens. Yet guns are easily available to criminals and miscreants?! |
nefertitiram:I wish I am but a lay man and no be movies I dey take learn the things o? |
FunkyAlhaji2015:No case is ever open and shut. A lawyer worth their salt will find weaknesses in this case. The police have to build a solid case to take it to court. How was the confession obtained? If it was under durress or coerced under torture, it will be inadmissible in court. Language expert for wetin? The text is in plain English and except they were speaking Dothraki or Klingon, a language expert is irrelevant. The text has to be understood in context to the message. At the moment if that is all the police have, then they are on a long ting ![]() Phone records are not that easy to obtain trust me and a judge will need to look at the police case then decide. It should be for more serious offences such as murder sha. Too many hurdles to jump and it is a bureaucratic nightmare. Anyway we are talking of Nigeria where anything goes. |
FunkyAlhaji2015:A good lawyer will use the police allegation to wipe his or her ass in court. As far we know now, all this is ‘hearsay’ evidence against Burna. There is also an alleged confession which most likely was obtained under durress or torture, a court can render such evidence inadmissible or what we call fruit from the poisioned tree. The police have a conspiracy or a joint enterprise which involves Burna, they will need to show his involvement. The police need to show he facilitated the crime. A text message telling the victim to show the same energy next time they meet is circumstantial. Could have meant he wanted the Mr 2kay to hit the weights with energy next time at the gym or to dance energetically next time at the club. The purported text is not an offence and the threat is not explicit or immediate for threat to kill or malicious communications ![]() Just my opinion |
Really? Who the hell comes up with these assinine stories? How does that text implicate him in a robbery? Dude is telling him what like Biggie said what beef is Nigerian police are so bait! this is their evidence? ![]() |
Reading some comments from so called Christians supporting this decadent purchase exemplifies the dogmatic and shallow thinking which has got Nigeria behind the rest of the developing world. You guys come on a forum created by an ‘atheist’ and just to make abusive remarks to others who simply do not share or agree with your opinion or religion? How christ like of you guys. Slow claps ![]() |
“He said that most jet owners switch jets every four to five years, much like car owners, although these vehicles cost a bit more to run: depending on the size of the aircraft, it can cost between $700,000 to $4 million per year to run your own aircraft” https://www.cnbc.com/2013/10/11/when-should-you-buy-a-jet-charter-plane-private-cost-and-prices.html Given the cost of owning and maintaining one, I am not suprised that most rich people would prefer to lease or rent a jet. I once heard Russell Simmons owner of Def Jam and other businesses, state that it is better to lease or rent a jet because the cost of owning one is astronomically expensive!! So how can a group or a church in Nigeria afford to gift one to their pastor? Did they pay any taxes? Would it have not made sense to do away with such a flagrant and ostentatious display of opulence given this relates to a pastor who should be emulating the frugal life of christ who concentrated on winning or saving souls instead of ‘wordly’ things? Does not make sense at all. Just my humble opinion. |
DICKtator:Stupid questions mostly go ignored or downvoted on Quora. Sarcasm aplenty on Quora and when I turn to Nairaland I cannot but see it is now a creche for kids. There are experts in every topic or field on the Quora so there is a high chance or probability your questions will be answered in a mature and timely fashion. Can’t say the same for your hasty ‘opinion’ though. Like they say “ opinions are like..... |
7Alexander:I am also on Quora. I am amazed by the breath of knowledge on there. I’ve always known that Nairaland is now filled with prepubescent kids and ne’er do wells. |
Another Doe or Ghadaffi loading.... |
DIKEnaWAR:I like your analogy. Makes so much sense. Jungle Fever is what some call it ![]() |
Gluhbirne:Thanks. She is no longer in pain and kept her faith until the end. |
mmluv4real:My mum had Stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and passed away last month. Cancer is a horrible disease and I know what I went through during my mum’s illness and treatment. It was tough and soul destroying. I understand what you are going through, anyone making jokes about this lady having a mastectomy is ignorant and should pray cancer does not befall any of their loved ones. My advice is take each day as a blessing and keep fighting. Don’t forget to make sure she know she is loved. I wish you and your mum very the best. |
Really?

Whatsapp needs to develop permission to be added to bloody groups and the option to leaving such annoying groups quietly. |
Did he get a nose job? |
All na wash. |
Una hear anything read about a woman demanding to be addressed as “ he “ on some days and “her” on some other days. Some want instead of male or female, they was X on their passport. Flexi gender nko? Confusing as hell. |
She is not exactly the sharpest tool in the tool shed. |
There we have it folks. Nairaland is now filled with prepubescent kids. |
Of all the problems in the world you are moaning about a girl who you did not marry or pay her bride price is supposedly cheating on you. You lost control bearing in mind that you are an army cadet who should show a level of emotional maturity and uphold the high standards of the armed forces. You deserve to be reprimanded for assaulting a civilian and there is no justification for laying hands on her. She cheated? So what? Move on!! A real man will take it on the chin and move on to the next conquest. You are lucky if that was my sister, I am sure I have a couple of high ranking officers who would make sure you are publicly flogged and embarrassed, hand go touch you!! In the words of Danny Brown “ You are gonna get exposed like an up and coming model. Who the lil beotch? That’s you”. Man up and learn your lessons humbly. In the battle of the sexes you lost ![]() |
OP I stole your girl and that smell you perceived emanating from her southern region was the aroma of rampant and satisfying sex from a stud muffin such as myself. In the words of Beyonce if you liked it you should’ve put a ring on it PS send me your address so you can enjoy our bout in glorious high definition. |
Just smelt my finger this post reeks of latex. |
Lucid1:Abi o I noticed how poor his grammar is. |
magicminister:Death is inevitable for us all. Show some empathy and respect for the dead. You never knew her and you cannot blame her for the sins of others. Who are you to judge sef? Who are in the bleeding hell are you?! How old are you? |
Those are UK armed police officers not US officers as the post erroneously suggests ![]() |
chiraqDemon:I am open to sensible discussions and solutions. What I cannot stand is stupidity of blaming the victims. We have to do something to reverse this ugly trend in Nigeria of extra judicial punishments or abuse of power by law enforcement. It is going to be an ardous task to reoreintate the minds of some Nigerians judging by the comments blaming the poor chap. |
Flaghouse1:I agree with you that our cooperation is important but like I said when they cross the line then really something needs to be done. It is unlawful for them to lay hands on a grown man who has not committed any offence neither should anyone be judged based on looks. These people are a disgrace to the uniform and the oath they took. |
Flaghouse1:Another person talking absolute bull. You will illegally detain someone for 2 days then illegally search their home? Which Inspector will allow you custody or who will prosecute your spurious allegations? You think arrests are just to detain suspects? You should present the matter before a judge or some form of judicial disposal ie fine or charge, caution or warn. You need to go before a judge for a warrant and frankly in your case you will laughed out of court for presenting a shoddy case and worse you will be reprimanded and arrested for various offences. The backwardness in law enforcement is alarming ans when we point this out even with prior experience you chose to remain ignorant? Keep living in the stone ages whilst developed nations forge ahead. |
burticious:Reasonable suspicion is very subjective. Will a reasonable person in charge of all the thinking faculties think a corper in uniform going on with his life or duties in broad daylight is an armed robber? He even showed his ID and identified himself! On what basis or grounds is that search legal? Just because the last suspect had a funny haircut does that mean that every other person who has a similar haircut is a criminal? This is what happens when you have dolts in charge. The job of the police also involves making sure the case or offence is properly presented before a judge. The police are not lawyers or judge and jury. You build your grounds to search on facts not some airy fairy nonsense about looks. I think we need to start taking these abuses to civil court or reporting them immediately. |
