No need working hard all your life and when retirement or the inevitable happens you and your family have got zilch for a pension. So many retired goverment workers in Nigeria who had not had their pensions paid. An additional source of income is not to be laughed at if you are looking at the future. |

I happened to report officers who were conducting illegal stop searches and basically going through people's phones without any grounds. Having these idiots rifle through my personal property was annoying as hell. I was thoroughly disappointed. No reference number, no call backs or action taken against those officers. The call handlers need to have a basic understanding on police powers. Rank and file are also to blame for the malaise. They should publicly reprimand erring officers. People also need to record and all such encounters. If you cannot record someone should record and help each other out. Something needs to drastic has to happen. I think civil litigation with also help when everyone starts taking NPF and its officers to court. |

speezyWears:You took the words out of my mouth. The Commissioner of police and the Governor should bow their heads in shame. They should enforce a curfew from 2200 - 0600 Hours in Ikorodu. Direct officers to conduct intelligence led stop searches, patrol the hotspots, gather intelligence and conduct high profile raids of suspects homes and their hideouts. Engage with the community of Ikorodu and ensure persons caught are dealt with in a judicious and expeditious manner. Those caught partaking or meting out extra judicial killings aka jungle justice should also feel the full brunt of the law. No one should be above the law including those who are duty bound to enforce these laws. People deserve to have their lives and property protected by the state. As much as I like Burna, sorry but driving whilst impaired or under the influence of drugs or alcohol is irresponsible and dangerous. Should not be emulated ot applauded. In saner climes you will lose you licence or get arrested for such a stunt. No joke if a family member is scrapped off a road because of one of such driver's actions. |

I've said it and will say it again. As much as Kemi is a nuisance she is not a criminal and does not deserve to be in prison for slander or libel. It remains the remit of a civil court or magistrate and denying her bail is an abuse of due process. Speaking to lawyers they confirmed that there are so many parts of our constitution which need rewriting and are products of the military regime era, defamation being one of such. It is now being used by the rich and powerful to stifle freedom of expression or opinion. She has written far worse about other personalities and they chose to do the mature thing by ignoring her or challenging her word for word. Someone posts something about me, I'd laugh and make the person look like a dolt instead of running to the authorities like the crybaby pastor. If he is claiming damages please show the courts where Kemi hurt your feelings abeg? She was arrested on spurious grounds and the authorities remanded her without bail, then transfered her to prison for a simple matter on the say so of a pastor? It is a flagarant abuse of her constitutional right and if I were her, I will take the authorities and the pastor to the drycleaners. Disgraceful and anyone applauding this needs to check their conscience or for the sheeple their Bible. |
