uuzba:This is the example of your typical Nigerian, ready to suffer and smile, ready to die for the likes of Ibori, Tinubu, Atiku... and the rest of his oppressors. I wonder if he will also teach his children how to suffer and smile |
supercase1:It seems a lot of Nigerians are indeed monkeys Just look at the amount of comments saying, they did him a favor It's only in Nigeria that we laugh at everything, such a useless country How is this a joke? How can this ever be considered funny? No wonder leaders can continue to oppress the monkey citizens, cause even if you are about to kill them, they will still be laughing... Nigerians are truly the Kings of "SUFFERING AND SMILING" |
Claudiusdeux:Are you sure about that? I think the police as a LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY would definitely have a role in enforcing traffic laws. Only in Nigeria again I see so many different agencies involved in traffic; police, lasma, frsc, vio, local gov... Yet in Dallas for instance, only one outfit does that job, THE POLICE, and they do it damn well! I understand that we may not have cameras and such, but we have police vehicles and buying petrol should be dirt cheap for government, so there’s no reason why they shouldn’t patrol. In London for instance with lots of cameras, you may not need that much patrolling, but juxtapose that with like Texas that is huge with not as many cameras. There they definitely need patrolling and they do it so well. So bottom line bro, cameras/patrolling, we just don’t have any excuse. I feel you about Nigerians being pigheaded sometimes, but that can still be overcome. You just need to be organized in having an efficient “backup” system. So instead of deploying lethal force, a squad can simply request for backup to quell any ugly situation. All in all, we must find a pathway to Law and Order! |
I have been to a few countries in my life and Nigeria is the only country I’ve seen were it’s police officers don’t enforce traffic rules. Will we ever value Law and Order in Nigeria? I find myself stopping erring drivers daily now, as though I were a police officer. Last time, I stopped a guy making an illegal turn, and a guy driving on the lane markings. Both times, I was insulted badly, which is to be expected from crude Nigerians that will break the law and then curse you. All this occurred within a few meters from police officers, who obviously did nothing, sigh! In Nigeria, you find the police officers sitting down at junctions, sitting in their cars, eating lunch by the roadside... they NEVER PATROL... how can you tackle major traffic offenses if you don’t patrol? The only time they will spring up to action is to form road blocks to extort money! This is not the type of country I want for my children. What will it take for “black man country” to fall in love with Law and Order? What will it take for Nigerian police to start enforcing laws like:- Driving in your lane One car per lane, no matter the traffic situation One way driving and riding by okadas, even in the presence of police. Turning left, using the wrong lane, the lane for going straight. Using turn signals before switching lanes Pedestrians walking on the roads, and not sidewalks ... Ask your self, in Nigeria, when last were you pulled over, or when last did you see an erring driver get pulled over. Would your children know what it means to get pulled over by police? Are Nigerians accustomed to pulling over when they hear police sirens behind them, or do they understand that those sirens probably belong to a government convoy riding with impunity? We always let issues linger and then come up with draconian laws like “death for running traffic lights”, when the situations gets out of hand. You don’t need draconian rules for traffic offenders, you just need to enforce the law 24/7/365. You can’t enforce the law on only one day out of the whole month and expect to have order. The one that really irks me is okada riders riding one way frequently, then you look up and see 5 lasma guys looking the other way... some even asking drivers through the window for “anything for we”... Must Nigeria fail in every sector before someone or the people rescue it? Well I know we will divide eventually, God willing, but can’t we still get somethings right, right now! Must we always behave like animas in a jungle who just do anyhow, forming sharp guy, with no justice, no justice whatsoever. I mean how can you line up for hours and then one danfo just drives to the front of the queue and police does NOTHING. What kind of evil is that. |
He loved his people so much, that he brought bullion vans to his compound on the day before a General Election... Only in Nigeria Only in freaking Nigeria!! All you Atiku and Tinubu fanboys eeeh, let me not start rambling now abeg... |
Neddstark:So were any arrest made? Or are the abductors free to go home and come back tomorrow? |
“When we established contact with them, I persuaded them to release them unharmed. And so they did tonight. This is not the first time we facilitated the release of our people without payment of ransom.https://www.nairaland.com/6320274/govenor-matawalle-negotiated-release-kankara This is kinda hard to believe So he just told them to release the children and they agreed? Just like that?

How can a President never do a live interview with the Press of the country? Na wa What is this 20 sec clip about? I guess I've been spoilt watching Trump and other civilized leaders go back and forth with the press, no matter how idiotic the questions may seem. Here in Nigeria, we get, pictures and 20 second clips every 2 months. |
I don't think this guy has done a press interview in years No questions and answers, nothing |
They call you wailers, because they are happy when the whole country suffers and the citizens are in tears. Can't you see all the demons on this thread rejoicing at another opportunity to cause further suffering and tears to innocent children? Innocent Nigerians? It's okay to wail, God will wipe away all your tears for being an upright Nigerian that always wanted the best, but found yourself surrounded by demonic Nigerians who always wanted tears for their fellow black man. They know Tinubu will pillage and pilfer, destroy even further, but they want your tears, they are wicked at heart. But our God is wonderful, no matter what suffering they intend to put you through, know that your God will always find a way out for his children, leaving the wicked to their fate. |
Growing up, I don't really remember terrorism being associated with Nigeria, or maybe I was just living in my ignorant bubble. Regardless though, these past decade, the bomb blasts, beheadings and frequent killings have almost solidified the bond between terrorism and Nigeria and I wonder when this all started. |
only in Nigeria that terrorist spawn out of thin air and then glitch away, without a trace incompetence is not even the word but then, but then, what do Nigerians really expect when you actively, passionately and fervently search out the worst of the bunch to be your leaders? You Nigerians don't just settle for bad, no, no, no Your leader must be a thief, corrupt, maybe killed a few along the way, ahaaaa! Now he is worthy to be called your leader, your governor, your senator, your president... The good guys don't even stand a chance in Nigeria |
low2high:True, and you know what? It is okay to hate PDP and APC. It is! It is also okay to vote for the most brilliant individual out there and support him/her, It is. |
Nwaotu10:Islam should not be considered a religion, but a political cult. No other religion of today converts the political system in a society in which it is the predominant religion, but islam. Only Islam will convert whatever political system you are running to SHARIA once they have the numbers. No separation of "Church" and "State" In other words, you can't call Islam a religion, when it is a POLITICAL SYSTEM. If you doubt me, ask any Muslim what he prefers "DEMOCRACY or SHARIA". |
TheMan3:I still remember warning the whole of nairaland then, the same way I'm warning about Tinubu and Atiku now, the same way I warned about MMM but in all, it's like Nigerians just choose to be willfully stooopid. How was Buhari, a coup plotter that should have been shot, ever supposed to be a solution to democracy? If you go try execute a coup today, won't they kill you? Okay, we let Buhari slide the first time, and Nigeria even paid him pension (shaking my head), for executing a coup... ...but then Nigerians now went and brought back a coup plotter. Shaking my head, shaking my fvcccking head |
IamPlato:See you, already laying down your life so early in the morning to die for evil. Typical black man that whites used to call monkeys back in the day. Keep fighting to protect evil, so you can tell you children how you encouraged killings and corruption in Nigeria So if I because I didn't mention who to vote for means, you will continue voting for devils ba meeeeeen |
and that judgement would be extremely warranted but I also pray that God forgives you, because who can stand Gods judgement. So you want your country to keep suffering, to keep decaying, all because you want to continue playing useless tribal politics. Like a suicide bomber, you are ready to sacrifice yourself and your family, just so the other tribe doesn't "win" Now I here Tinubu this and that, and I still see massive support. Only in a black nation Aren't the youths of this country ready to join the rest of the world in development? Must we continue to remain the laughing stock of the rest of the world? I told my brother that Nigerians would forget the Toll Gate shooting, and look at it, they are already forgetting and ready to lay down their lives for political criminals that killed their brothers, shouting Jagaban up and down. How low have you sunk, that you hail your killer and tormenter? |
PerfectlyPerfect:Bro, that is what is always happening in Nigeria see dem, already supporting a demon that gunned down their brothers at the toll gate they've already forgotten or they don\t care, as long as it's one tribe against another men, it seems to me that the IQ of the average Nigerian is just too low, and we need to focus on education. but first we need good leaders, but how do the good leaders get chosen by the low-IQ masses? Because of tribe, all these dudes are willing to keep "suffering and smiling", putting the lives of their family and unborn generation as risk. It's so pitiful Just to be able to say "Ntoor" to Yoruba or Igbo or hausa, they will vote for the worst of the worst to spite the others men black people are just, sigh ANIMALS |
Martinola:I guess so. Maybe wealth, or maybe I'll get picked by someone, but I won't choose corruption. I want Nigeria to become a tourist destination, beautiful rivers, educated, educated and educated masses, great infrastructure, zoos, zoos and more zoos (big lions), paved roads, road markings, fresh African air (No generator pollution)... I know the country may still separate, or should really, but in the meantime, I just want to build a black nation that blacks around the world can be proud of. Not that they have to force themselves to love Nigeria just because it's a black nation, but they'd love it because it's the motherland and DEVELOPED, like a watered down WAKANDA. Something as simple as building sidewalks, and closing open gutters in major cities across the country would BOOST tourism immensely in my opinion, but it seems all things in Nigeria, both big and small get overlooked so often, or the leaders may mostly just be wicked souls. |
GavelSlam:Why cant he ever have journalists interview him? WHY? Is it just to take picture and read script? We deserve much, much, much better from a president and what type of precedence does this set for the next president, that he/she can just stay cocooned and hardly ever interact with the press or masses. |
Martinola:I can bring sanity back to Nigeria, or whatever portion the people would entrust to me. ...but I am somewhat "nameless", unlike the Babagindas, Abachas, Buharis, Obasanjos, Atikus, Tinubus of our childhood I will make sure every kobo is well utilized to the benefit of Nigerians as God is my witness. From big things like rail, to the supposedly "unimportant" things like, sidewalks and closing ALL OPEN GUTTERS, I will give it my best shot but who will vote for me? |
Raydos:If it were lagos, danfos would be driving on all those sidewalks People would be hawking right on the road Lawless! To me, Nigerians behave like lower level animals. I mean what's the difference between like a squirrel and a typical Nigerian? Besides the bigger brain? Just all around chaotic |
When last did you see Buhari? When last was he interviewed? |
What a shame ![]() |
and then people like that rossikk guy here on nairaland will be like Nigeria is a poor country, whites are evil and bla bla bla Do you know what a God fearing Government can do with that 6 billion? Especially in a so called poor country. |
yungmill:Beyond Alarming... I wonder about the future of our country with youths willing to support the continued suffering of our people. I remember one thread on here were an army officer beat up a woman, and sure enough, the front page here was filled with support for the officer tand not the victim. Thank God that officer was eventually arrested. All in all, we must continue to pray and educate ourselves. |
goodheart02:Don't let all these devil advocates get you down bro. I'm sure the dude you are quoting doesn't even live on that axis and doesn't pay toll. Hence, since this particular suffering is not affecting him directly, his evil nature is free to roam unchecked. |
yungmill:As in bro! Something seems to be wrong with black people cause I can't understand how we tend to support every negative thing. They keep electing the worst people and spitting on those trying to liberate the society. Yesterday, I was complaining about traffic lights not working and of course some people on here were in support of the traffic lights not working, telling me to go to my village. Nigerians are a special breed of human, and not in a good way. |
udemzyudex:First off, that road should never have been tolled. There was little to no justification for tolling the road, so yes, LCC should not be allowed to re-start toll collection at the lekki-epe toll gate. They can collect at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge, cause that does serve a purpose. Secondly, see how free traffic has become at the toll gate. I mean, it's like night and day, good vs evil. Before now, all they ever cared about was collecting that toll. Even if it meant only one stall was open, and there were a million cars lined up from the toll gate all the way to 1004 estate, you MUST, MUST pay. They could not even streamline the process, like it's done abroad, because of course, "we are in Nigeria, so bla bla bla, it won't work, the whites are gods, and so on and so forth". In some developed countries, you would not even have to stop at the toll, so that traffic doesn't build, the system just reads your tags, but I digress... Third, why should toll gate income be tied to functioning traffic lights? I strongly believe this is the real reason the lights have been turned off across the stretch of that road. The corruption has really eaten deep into us and our society. I just knew that they would have the mentality that since we don't want to pay toll, we don't even deserve the basic amenities, as though toll is the only way to pay for such amenities. Is Lekki the only part of Lagos that has traffic lights? Why then must the argument be made that ONLY LEKKI TRAFFIC LIGHTS MUST BE MAINTAINED WITH TOLL MONEY? This is not a very strong argument to be made in any shape or form. Lastly, a government that had the fear of God in them, or maybe just human decency would see the new chaos that has arisen at junctions across that highway due to non-functioning traffic lights. It really does pain me that even on here, some people still support the lights not working, claiming this is what we get for #endsars. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. May God help us all! |
Or is it just on nairaland? cause I know this is the most hate-filled social media site compared to others The fact that some can still support these corrupt bastards on here. Same APC, Same PDP Same politicians that can barely speak english, the ones that go as far as to hoard Indomie while locking people down. The ones that will allow your roads to spoil to the point that it is unmotorable. The one that can't even get simple law and order down. I mean, if not for Hollywood, will Nigerians know what it means to get pulled over by a squad car? When you hear sirens in Nigeria, do you pull over? Do you even slow down to let them pass? God, I will keep fighting for the country were I was born, but what gives? Why are these people all around me happy with the status quo? Why are they happy with open gutters, no light, no law and order, no lanes on roads. Why? God why? Why does a Nigerian have to be wired so differently? |
innovative, yet following the likes of Bubu, Tinubu, Wiked Wike and other thuggish ruggish rubbish politicians. they will still line up like sheep led to the slaughter to vote for leaders that continue to kill every part of the country and as long as you can activate their tribal hate, their mental state is further clouded innovative, yeah, 21st century and you have no traffic lights active on the same street that the likes of Mobil, Foreign Hotels and a host of other GLOBAL business, pay TAX abeg don't get me started, Mr. Vice President |
what about the government? I guess you guys are the OPPOSITE of innovative, abi? Common traffic lights from Bonny Camp all the way down to Chevron on Lekki-Epe have been turned off Ordinary Traffic Lights yeah, sooo innovative |
