Govt declared curfew and you said you won't comply, what do you expect?

We are just hypocrites!

Would you permit recalcitrance in your own house? The answer is No!

But you want Government to permit anarchy, right?

Check yourself!

The problem is you not Government!
Say this to my face, I will slap the daylights out of you, fvcking baaaastard

So if I run traffic light, instant death? If I refuse curfew, instant death?

The govt has declared 24 hours curfew, protesters should go home & regroup after 24 hours! U can't disobey govt orders & expect them not to take action. Even in USA govt will resist! They should adhere to d curfew by going home & regroup after it has elapsed.
Please and please, in the U.S.A, curfew breakers don't get murdered, they get arrested.

True freedom, not made in China comes at a sometimes steep price. I'm stuck in traffic too as I type this, inhaling noxious fumes, but I recognise these times are historical and we must endure for the sake of posterity.
You must endure?

You endure because of God's grace in the health that he gave you, others are not as fortunate, how do they endure?

Or maybe you never even thought about them with your hale and hearty self.

These protest are orchestrated by lenied & exposed Nigerians, certainly they know the inconveniences people might go through, buh its unavoidable cos every gud demand comes with its own price.
when the govt locked everyone in, people had flight scheduled, medical appointment, fixed event .... why did poco not open a thread to nag, whats going on now is not even up to that and some of you can't show understanding cos the inconveniences is not coming from the govt ..lol! cumma stop us.
Even with the lockdown, patients could still go to the hospital

Anyways, people always talk like you when situations don't affect them personally.

You don’t know why I went out or why everyone else is out. The doctors treating them and other Nigerians have to get to work. The food they are eating, is being prepared by various eateries that have to get to work. The water they drink, a water factory is open to produce it!! The money used is being withdrawn at banks or transferred via switches. Majority of the funds sponsoring this protest came from hardworking Nigerians- home and abroad!! All these people are not STAYING AT HOME!!! We are also working for ourselves, them and our loved ones too!!!

If you have any clue on the situation on ground, you will know they go ahead to block alternative routes.

Do you know the kind of money the world lost during the lockdown? Why do you think countries had to open up despite impending risk?

No one is saying they are not appreciated, simply give commuters a little way to move about. That is all. Yet you guys come armed with insults, emotional blackmails and whataboutism.

If anyone is being thick, it is you and your kind that have refused to reason.
They are being extremely thick, don't mind them.

It's almost like they think cars are the government and no matter your emergency in life, you deserve to be stuck somewhere.

I understand your point but u should understand that blocking everywhere is part of the plan that will make the government accent to your demands. If it's about matching by the side of the road for one year then they won't react. It's just for everyone to adjust. Few more weeks won't kill us. We stayed at home for months because of ordinary covid that's not even in Nigeria. What good did this covid bring to Nigerians but this protest will bring a lot of changes in our system of governance
You guys may have already killed some sick people in traffic, but you may never know.

You think everyone is like you, hail and hearty... yet some people are getting blood transfusion now as we speak.

Even during the lockdown, the sick could still go out, showing police their hospital report or note/call from their doctor, yet the so called loving masses won't allow them movement.

As I said before, they can achieve the same aim by only blocking half the lanes, but no, wickedness would not allow them. Everyone must suffer according to these protesters.

What is his reward for all this?

He gets cursed by his own people, while they make songs for "Jagagban"

some of the people that died weren't even part of the protests like the young man in ogbomosho. That's the real definition of collateral damage
You are still inflicting pain on people, unless you feel your pain is greater than theirs, I guess I'll let you be the judge of that.

CrimeRe: BAN The Continued Unlawful Blocking Of Roads By END SARS Protesters by VaselineCrew: 9:30am On Oct 15, 2020
No matter what, blocking the road is just wrong in my opinion, especially blocking all the lanes.

A working compromise would be to block 1/2 or 3/4 of the road, so that traffic comes to a crawl, but yet people can still get pass.

Imagine spending 12 hours on one spot, it really is not fair.

I have dreamed of Nigerians having the guts to protest, and I really am happy, but the organizers should not spoil this thing.

Please, think of others

Pregnant women going for checkup

Sick people going for Treatments

People going to work

People travelling overseas

Do you guys remember that quote from one of the Batman movies, "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain"?

people are fighting for your right you are here complaining about road blockage, the fact you're alive today doesn't mean you can't be killed tomorrow by SARS officials. This fight is for all Nigerians.

The only reason they block the roads is because they know that's the only way govt will take them serious.

Protest started for days and govt didn't say anything about it. the moment they blocked toll gate for couple hours sanwolu started running around and making promises.

Your most likely among the generation that kept quiet and allow this rottenness to eat up Nigeria up to this point. If we don't put fire on this people Nothing will ever change.

It's a pity fellow Nigerians don't seem to get this and see protesters as the enemies
so what about those that will die in the road blockage?

is that just collateral damage?

Saao:
is it right for police to kill the same people they were paid to protect?
of course not, and look, I totally support the protesting going on right now, 1000%

but that doesn't mean I still shouldn't call out injustice on their part.

A family member spent almost 12 hours on the road this past weekend, then think about others that had emergencies to attend to, it really is not fair, it's not fair at all.

They could protest and leave one lane open, so that there is a slow down of traffic to draw attention to the protest, but not a total halt of traffic.

Not everyone has free time, some people actually have life and death things to do, appointments to keep.

The funny thing is that some of the people they blocked might actually also support the protest, or might have actually joined it at some point. So it's also unfair to them. Imagine you joined the protest on Friday, but on Sunday you were blocked by the same protesters you supported, causing you to miss a flight, an appointment, a hospital visit, e.t.c

What about the cars with sick people going to the hospital, those travelling abroad, and so so many more cares people might have to attend to.

When you block the road, just like SARS, you cause suffering to the masses.

Bro, you are very intelligent for this statement.

I have always said, if I were the head of police or a governor with influence over police, or the president... the way I'd check all these useless police officers is to fire their division heads, whoever they may be, if their lower ranking officers misbehave consistently, i.e, a pattern of corruption left unchecked.

I opened a thread asking Nigerians if they have ever seen a police officer in Nigeria "PULL OVER" a driver, like you see in movies, or frankly, any country that works; think about that for a second. They have become so useless that in 2020, they still can't organize themselves to do the simplest of things, which is to patrol traffic, and get behind an erring driver, put on their lights and siren and PULL THE PERSON OVER. All they do is stand at junctions, stand on the side of the road, sleep in the parked car on the side of road, stand, sleep, stand...

If you are the head of police and you want your policy implemented to the fullest extent, then you must fire the heads of police divisions who can't manage their officers, its as simple as that.

Sometimes I just detest this nation! Common sense things are so hard to do, like so hard.

and the people, sigh, they keep voting for the worst people because of tribe. Even if I wanted Nigeria to stay united, which I don't and pray against, it would have made for a better Nigeria to have the best in charge at every level of governance, but the people still vote for the worst.

unfortunately common sense isn't really common in Nigeria.

See such a long write up defending your slave masters creation.

Honestly, black people, especially Nigerians seem to have extremely low self esteem.

Come on dude, you were once thriving on your own, before an armed robber came in and forced you to join other nations.

Now you write essays about how the armed robbers were right and why you don't deserve your own country.

It truly is fascinating.
