I don't have all the details. Nova scotia and saskatchewan and newfoundland have been mentioned as having pathways for IMGs but to be honest I do not know the details. Do you have a first degree in physiotherapy? If you do, I think nova scotia is favourable for PTs, you my consider working as a PT at least for the first few years. olandofire:Lol. missionary voyagers are popping up here oh. Una welcome. Thanks. Hopefully you'll get the remark with positive results. Thanks for asking, was gonna put up a post explaining abbreviations but nairaland anti spam bot just block me since on top ppr post oh. mtschewwww. FSW - federal skilled worker, EE - express entry. AOR - acknowledgement of receipt, PPR - passport request, eAPR - electronic application for permanent residence, BG - background check, NN - not needed, NS - not started, IP - in progress, CRS - comprehensive ranking score, PNP - provincial nomination program. deeore:hey. missionary voyager, lol. When exactly is the start date for your current employer? The ref letter required by cic specifically mandates that the start date must be included. So, this is my personal opinion. Pursue the reference with your previous employer to the best of your ability. In the mean time, create another EE profile in time for the draw that should come up in about a month's time (2 draws from yesterday) - I am not exactly sure how this is done, it may require using a different email address i guess and I truly don't know how much of a grey area it is but this gives you another profile that would be eligible for a draw after the month of February which gives you 3 years with your current employer. In the mean time, gather all necessary documents and when you get a new ITA on your new profile, you decline this current ITA. Otherwise, you obtain the reference letter from your other unwilling employer and include it in your eAPR for this ITA and write a LOE to explain. Onlineise: |

As regards POF, and all ITA recipients rubbing pancake on top pof cold feet, let me share my own experience. I probably had the most complicated pof i've heard of thus far. Lol! I submitted 5 bank accounts. This is because funds moved through these accounts within the 6 month period prior to my app submission and besides if you read the guideline for pof on the cic site, it actually asks you to submit ref letters from all your banks. So, I have 3 savings accounts, 1 current account and 1 joint account. Joint account was less than 6 months old as at time of app submission. However, joint account is where we had been saving pof money that was not yet complete, because we had expected a prolonged pool stay considering the trend of high crs draws as at then and had saved about 70% of required pof or so at the time. So, post ITA, hubby transferred some funds to the joint account to make up the required amount and then I transferred the entire pof to my current account. Prior to this time, I had savings going into our joint account from savings accounts 1 and 2 as well as my current account and then savings also going into the joint account from my hubby's personal account. Savings accounts 1,2,3 had monies moving within them regularly. You know how you can use one bank to keep maybe school fees, another for regular spending, another for "do not touch" money, etc. lol! Also, I had large deposits made from my mum, uncle, friends, etc etc into savings account 3 (gtbank). You know how your folks need you to help purchase something or pay for a service or send to someone else for them and then they pay into your account.......I was in a dilemma as to what to do. However, I didn't feel comfortable delaying my app submission till the 60 day mark just so those transactions would fall off my bank statement....So, I wrote a very detailed LOE, explaining ALL the movement of funds and ALL lump sum deposits into ALL of my bank accounts over the 6 month period preceding the submission of my app. I also had a LOE written by my husband confirming funds transfers and dates (we did not include his bank statement as the transfer details showed his name as depositor on my bank statements), I also went ahead to get a LOE from my uncle and all other persons who had made lump sum deposits into that my gtbank account and whose names showed up on my statement as depositors as well as obtained a gift deed from my mom for the lump sum deposits she made into same account. Of note is that, all of the funds in that my gtbank account had already been used up in payment of whatever I needed to help them pay for long ago, that account is like my regular day to day expense account and as at receiving ITA and as at submission of eAPR, balance was maybe 100k or something ridiculous like that. By the time I had compiled my loe and all the other loes plus gift deed into one document it was 10 pages. lwkmd!!!! I felt a bit ridiculous at this point but went ahead and uploaded the 10 page loe under the slot provided for loe in the eAPR oh. Turns out, app was successful and gcms notes didn't even hint at any pof issue. So, my advise is that as long as you can explain and show proof of any of your concerns as regards pof that do not prevent you from meeting the ircc criteria, you shoud be fine. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Thanks everyone. I truly appreciate your support, advise, recommendations and all through this journey and wish everyone a speedy app process. I submitted my app on Nov 6, 2016. Details of my prep- eca, ielts, EE pool entry, ITA, etc etc can be found in my previous posts, you can click on my moniker and read old posts for more info. Timeline: FSW-EE, NOC 3112, CRS 482. EE profile created: Oct 14th 2016 ITA: Oct 19th 2016 eAPR submitted: 6th Nov 2016 AOR: 7th Nov 2016 Medicals passed: 8th Nov 2016 BG NN>>IP : 30th Dec 2016 GCMS notes requested January 11th, issued on 21st January and received on February 2nd. Its 129 pages of lots of very confusing info and I had to google a lot and ask people who had gone through the process before to try to explain. The short summary is that it showed my app had moved from central office in ottawa to Accra on 8th Nov and from Accra to London VO in Dec, and as at 30th Dec, it showed eligibility: passed, criminality:passed, medicals:passed and final:approved and the last notes made by a VO same date was "appears RFV" I was very worried as to why I had not received PPR when app was supposedly approved since Dec but was encouraged by "forerunners" lol! to just wait and expect ppr soon and they were spot on. @esosa4real, i have been receiving your pms and i have been responding, maybe you should check your junk or spam? @boldinc, I also responded to yours. I have also received a couple of pms from newbies to the thread, I didn't reply because I am more than happy to respond to all your questions on this thread as that way, it yields maximum benefit. You are able to get responses from several persons and it also benefits current and future readers. This thread would be dead if we all opted to pm when we just joined instead of discussing on the thread. So, kindly ask your questions on the thread. 11 Likes 1 Share |

esosa4real:1) same as with Nigerian banks. Get a regular letter of reference from the bank n add your six months bank statement. You can mention it in your loe, I did. 2) I addressed to visa officer, ircc. 3) job function is what matters over title. 1 Like |

My response said pay slips and ppa letter are supporting and not mandatory. That means if he has them, he can use them to support his app. Otherwise, in lieu of any evidence of payment, a reference letter for that job in ircc format is the mandatory document to show proof of work experience. I used my nysc experience and submitted a reference letter, ppa posting letter n bank statement covering that period. Fusion23: |

1) i asked here and someone advised to scan all pages including the finger print and passport photo attached side 2) I think i answered this earlier, reference letter written in ircc format would suffice, anything else such as payslips or ppa letter are supporting and not mandatory. as fusion23 advised, do not submit your discharge certificate. 3) Weird, seeing as you wrote your exam in 2017. Write the date on your trf. 4) Get your medicals done here, its cheaper....I think dupyshoo answered all of these medicals questions earlier and boldinc put up a post of qlife's price list and contact details, you can call them for further questions esosa4real: |

oohunt:I used 3 different reference letters from 3 companies for my work experience seeing as I had worked in 3 different organizations thus far, So this shouldn't be a problem. There are 2 options for this non-ECA qualifications. Some people removed the qualifications that they do not have an ECA for entirely from the education section and then mentioned it under that part of the form that literally tells you to tell them your whole life without leaving gaps For me, I listed the degrees under the education section as well. For each qualification you list, it asks if you have an ECA for it. I indicated that I had an ECA for the one which I evaluated and then indicated that I did not have an ECA for the ones which were not evaluated.....I use degrees here to refer to both mine and my spouse's. Whatever work experience you do not wanna provide a reference for, both for yourself (as long as it doesn't reduce your points) and your spouse, do not fill under the work experience section but fill the details under personal history. 3 Likes |

Congrats on your ITA. Could you share your time line? Your NOC, ielts scores/no of attempts, qualification/eca process...hurdles et al if any, pool entry, etc etc I was gonna comment on your earlier post but then saw that you already found the answer. I could hug you right now. As much as you can, try to read up posts on this thread, it has loads of info. As 40manlappy said, a LOE would suffice from your spouse. oohunt: 1 Like |

@blackbuddy, yea I know they are distributed to the three bodies for remark. Also when it's marked the very first time, about two different examiners do so. However, if you follow the British council Nigeria trend, you will see that they tend to score candidates low. Very low. It's beyond making an error. I always encourage people who know their onions to go for an EOR. It takes a long time and most people just don't wanna wait that long but it usually gets upgraded. The reason why this came to my attention is because I had reason to write an academic ielts in 2014. When my results were released I got a 6.5 in writing and 7 in LRS. However when I went to collect my trf, my result was one of the ones randomly picked for Qa/qc. When it came back, my writing upgraded to 7.5 and S to a 9.0 LR to 8.5,8.5. How can a score move a band and in speaking two bands up I've written two more ielts tests since then, general and academic. Both 9,8,8,8 and 8.5,8.5,8.5,7.5 respectively. So, I know my competency level is consistent as opposed to that 6.5 that would have been my fate in the first instance. 8 Likes |

Hi. I don't think it's because you schooled there. I read somewhere last week that due to the backlog with accra vo, they had re-distributed apps to the London vo to assist. So, yours seems to have been one of the lucky ones. Fusion23: |

When I went for my medicals at the same panel physician you made your enquiry, the front desk official had advised me to fill family under my visa class on the medicals form even after explaining explicitly that it was economic class. If i had agreed, that would have put me under family class sponsorship and maybe long things for medicals. So, you should make enquiries at other panel physicians. The link I posted above, clearly states spousal apps temitope06: |

This is under the sponsorship program for spouses, partners and dependants. There is so much info updated on the cic site that it could get confusing a lot of times. We have to carefully cross check the category of persons and class of program the new rules apply to. @bimpsy99, he can transfer to you and you leave the funds in your account. He'll write a loe that he transferred the funds when you both decided to make you the PA for the ee process. If that happens now n you don't get an ita within the next three months, then by the time you're applying for pr post ita you may not even need the loe seeing as the money would have been in your account for six months. You can also both create a joint account now but it would have to be at least six months old by d time you're submitting your app. 1 Like |

If your housejob employer would provide you with a reference, then you can add it. I am not sure but I don't think your maternity leave would be deducted from your work experience. It's just like saying your annual leave would be deducted from your work experience. SlowlybtSurely: |

Fusion23, make you sha tell us if your work reference get secret code na. I think he is one of the lucky ones to get a visa officer process his app really really fast though. So many other applicants submit appropriate work references. Personally, i submitted three work references all written to provide the details ircc requested as my previous (and current) employers were very much willing to do so. I am also a compulsive records keeper, so I have all my payslips from previous jobs, etc etc. Travel history too sef plenty for me and my spouse and child. This is also the case for a lot of other applicants. So, like someone said on the cv forum, 6 months is the average processing time and anything earlier or longer is the exception and not the norm. All this one na to console myself oh. The waiting game ain't easy. I wish say my own copr too don land make i join fusion23 for the exception club jare. Lol! SlowlybtSurely: 2 Likes |
