Chinwem: I think you re honest. You don't have any savings which is true and you re still a student so it's not strangeYou totally misunderstood the English. |
Troyphelis: Hello guys, i am a student in the university and i am being sponsored by mother to travel to the UK as a tourist. When filling the application i was asked "what is the cost personally to you of your trip to the UK?? I said 'none' because my mother is sponsoring me and i dont have any savings to help out. Did i give the right answerHave you already submitted the application form? If yes, then I will recommend that you withdraw it quickly because, you've just told the visa officer that you're travelling abroad without finance |
oln: Justwise and all:My hubby and I plan on visiting UK for two weeks. He is self employed and already has a US visa and an expired south African visa.As for me I lost my passport and had to get a fresh new one. What are our chances of getting a UK visa, what exact forms are we required to fill and what documents should we tender?ThanksWith due respect, only a fortune teller can give you an (invalid) answer on your "chances" based on the information that you had provided. You mean, your husband got a USA visa and yet neither of you know the documents to provide for a UK visa? |
walukoe: What a nice job you ar doing Vicjustice,I would have been able to suggest some countries before the recession, but now that the west is fighting the recession, no country wants to import labours so i really do not know of any country where Nigerian doctors can "easily" move to |
1) Dont come here, life is not easy you will suffer just stay in Nigeria. the truth is, life abroad is very easy and simple. In fact, if you go to the U.S with a legal visa, withing a month, you can get a job and begin working your way up while going to school. These people will come to Nigeria build houses everywhere, buy cars everywhere, spend money like there is no tomorrow, but when its your turn to go abroad they till you dont come its not easy? common think about it: they don't want you to be on their level that's it.. 2)There is no freedom, Nigeria has more freedom than Europe, U.S etc this is one of the biggest myth and lie Nigerians abroad tell Nigerians back home. The fact is, the freedom that American citizens enjoy can not compare to that of Nigerians. There is a saying that goes "freedom without rules is chaos" and this is what Nigerians don't understand. They are used to the type of chaos they endured in Nigeria; heavy corruption, bribery, terrible government, and unprofessional police officers. You will have to leave uncivilized ways back in Nigeria and adjust to civilized freedom....things like the Olu 4..is a no no 3)Everybody minds his/her own business unlike naija where you mingle and make friends easily, therefore he's more lonely there than Nigeria. Another terrible lie. If you are a Nigerian and you live in the U.S or U.k and you are lonely..you yourself chose to be lonely period There are too many Nigerian churches and parties to attend every weekend for anyone to be lonely. More to come
I totally agree with points 2 and 3, but I'm not quite sure about point 1 |
Troyphelis: Please i would like how to make an itinerary and whats involved.Your answers are all here: https://www.nairaland.com/1181160/comprehensive-list-documents-required-visas |
Troyphelis: I applied for a tourist visa for 14days and i was refused. This is what the officer said:The explanations are clear enough to me, What is it that you don't get? |
kapela3: Yes, Its available for my use.I don't understand. |
roadmap2money: Hello NL, I have someone that sent me an invitation letter from Georgia just for visitation... I will like to know the requirement that is required from me to get the visa at the port of entry in Georgia ...and also what are the document do i need to board a plane from Nigeria. also what airline do you recommend that is more cheap to board. i will be highly appreciated to your comment because it may also be help to others that need such answers for this question. please agent stay off !!!I don't consider you a rich man, rich enough to want to visit Georgia as a tourist, I suppose you intend to go there to try your luck, and your mind-set is probably to advance to an EU country from there. If these are correct, then I like to discourage you give up the idea because, Georgia is one poverty ridden hell of a struggling country, where most people can not boast of €100 a month. Is that the Georgia that you were told about? |
darlene 10: Pls am new to this forum .have already applied for my united kingdom spouse visa before i heard of this forum.rily want to know wat my chances are.i applied four weeks ago my hubby misplaced four of his recent pay slips(originals) so i had to attach copies wt.a note from me explaining dat.den he got a letter from his boss for his employment details.i hope bonus es are regarded as salaries too? Cos d leta from his boss shows dat he gets paid 16500 basic den 3000 bonus anually making it 19500 per annum bfor tax.den i didnt include any electricity bills or coucil tax,but der is tenancy agreement.pls i need ur comments pls.am so depressed now.dont want all dis money wastedHi there. You have already made the application, so whatever i say now would be invalid and there would be no need to give hope or to bother you with anything. I think you didn't do too bad, but just wait for the outcome, and if anything you want to know after that, feel free to ask. Note: tenancy agreement is OK, but you should have added at least, a utility bill as evidence that he truly resides in the given address. As for the payslips, it depends on its quality, ie whether they are authenticated (hard documents) or regular ones. Read: You must provide original documents (except the identification documents of another person). Failure to submit original documents may mean your application is delayed or refused. HARD DOCUMENTS are documents that carry Security Authentications; or Stamps; or Seals; or Signatures; or Apostiles, etc: (For example; a Marriage Certificate), such documents must be submitted in their original states (except the document is an identification document belonging to another person ie your sponsor's passport etc). Any other document that does not carry any of the mentioned authentication is allowed to be submitted in photocopy state: Your hard documents will be returned back to you in due time. |
dalobaba: God is truly the paramount eco. Nothing happens either good or bad without his consent. My mum has been given visa 3times without a bankstatement. I mean it. Thou they asked for it in her first application and she proved to them why she doesnt keep an account. She got her 2yrs visa twice without bankstatement. God skips protocols and procedures. Gbam!Your Mom's age is definitely not in the category of those who pose immigration threats, it has been proven time and again that elderly people (who have spent all their time in their home countries) find it hard to live abroad, they find it boring and their tendency of being homesick, together with the fact of their low chance of employment is a driving encouragement for visa officers to approve their visas even with the least of documents: provided that there is evidence that the elderly person would be maintained: besides, visa officers are aware of the fact that many elderly people (in Nigeria) are poor with paper-works and documentations. Let a young man of 25 years try applying in similar circumstances with your mum's and come back to tell us the result |
smile101: Good people of nairaland....Please i need your advice on how to verify Visa if is fake or not...please your advice is urgently needed. smile101: Thanks very much sir......I did not appear at the Embassy so that why am careful...before i pay the agent.....I will go to the airport then..But sometimes some fake visa travel from Nigeria and when they get to the country they are heading to then they will find out is face visa...this is my fear is the immigration we have here no their jobThe visa is FAKE, it is impossible to get a visa to any normal country without appearance |
baslone: @justwise or @vicJustice- A quick oneThe standard requirement is an evidence establishing the fact that you are employed, and a proof of financial circumstances. As these evidences can be seen in some bank statements it is therefore possible to apply for a visa without pay slips, but it is not possible to apply for it without a bank statement: but because Nigerian applicants are highly suspected it is safer to provide both your bank statement and your payslips |
kapela3: @ Vicjsutice, please can I apply for an Irish student visa with a fixed deposit Ceriticate? I have the lump sum fixed in my account for over a year now. Do I need to attach a statement of account or should I just submit my application with the fixed deposit certificate and a cover letter showing the genuinity of the fund?Is the fixed deposited money available for your use? |
gudlawkyoung: my name is goodluck.i live in lagos, i was in uk last year august, gotten my usa visa since december. i have been trying to get an accomodation in the state but abortive. can anyone help? bless u house.... gudlawkyoung: thank you all for your response. i got an accommodation. but ticket fare is the headache am having now cos am not sure of coming back to naija. tnx gudlawkyoung: i ve two years visiting since last year december......any help? gudlawkyoung: little loan can help me acquire a ticketYou were in the UK and just came back and then got a 2 years US visa: and yet, you have no money for your ticket? How can an international traveller (who must have presented a hefty bank statement during visa application) be this broke that he can't even afford his ticket cost and has now resorted to begging for money in the internet, abi you be thief? |
Godson311: Dear readers / posters,Spouse, settlement or family reunification visas are special rights category, though, they could come in few weeks in some rare cases, but most could take any time from 3 months to 3 years depending on the simplicity or the complication of the application. |
Don't be surprised to know that the person you are corresponding with is a man like you... pretending to be a woman, he can even use a woman to speak to you on phone to prove a point |
Definitely a scam, no doubt about that. Ask "her" to tell you the meaning of the word, Mugu, and see if "she" will reply you any more |
aderoba: Good morning, I'm Florence from Jos. i have seen all the comprehensive list of the Documents required for visa. i want to apply for USA visit visa. Please how do i get the form. i will like to see you face to face so that you can put me through. Although i have been to South Africa last year september. Please i really need you to put me through for this USA visit visa. Thanks waiting to hear from you soon.Ha, you wish to see me "face to face", does that mean you are willing to come to Dublin to see me? Well, i prefer you come to Ireland to since i can't risk going to Jos where Muslims and "Christians" are testing the sharpness of their machetes on each other As your query on application form, Kindly click on the link below, you should be looking at the Tourism and Visit (B-2) category: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1262.html#apply |
xtasyt: Hi vic, great job you doing ?I want to visit d UK under one of dese 2 categories:Your salary is not a problem at all, but your financial circumstance is; you can not apply for this category of visa without your bank statement: An adult who intends to travel to the UK as a visitor and is not able to fend for the trip and depends on another person for sponsorship does not meet the requirement for tourist or visit visa. xtasyt: 2.Complementary vacation from the OrganizationClick this link to get answers from my other article: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas |
phemobay: believe it or not, GOD is d paramount ECO, some people wl not put 1 or more of d required documents and still get it, while some can put all and still not get it.... so God's favor determines it at timesYou must be a very holy and a righteous religious person, aren't you? |
phemobay: I will tell u dat u av tried by everything u submitted, Only God gives visa... dont b affraid, pray very well and u will get ur visa, in addition, it took dem 15 working day or more in some special occation to process visa... but if ur application doesnt attract special scruitiny then count 15 working days from d day u submited, dat should b sometime around early june or towards end of may... remember only God has d decision, pray even if u met all their requirement... only God ni o.... may God help us.What has God got to do with the issuing of visa? It would have meant that it is impossible for those who are not as religious as you to get a visa. My friend, this thing is governed by laws and regulations, as well as terms and conditions with requirements that need to be met, and God recognizes and condone such... |
Actually I wanted 2 use dis passport for travelling 2 dubai to work bt my uncle who want to assist me told me I shuld put btween 26years to 30years on my passport because 25years is dubai working age dats why,pls shuld I nt be penalize by this act because am 24years old nw. Tanks
I'm not willing to encourage a crime or an offence, therefore I'll suggest that you use your God-given age which is 24. Do not do something that would change your natural entity the rest of your life, it's so much with Nigerians that they do anything to be entitled to what they are not suitable for: If your age is not suitable for this objective, why not measure your coat according to your age? |
Pls sir am 24years old bt I have 26years in my intl passport due to typographical error, pls is their any implication 4 dis act?and can I travel wit it by dis mistake or not? TANKS
You have not given enough information to work with, therefore, it would be premature to answer your questions |
chiamo: @ Vicjustive Thank you for your response.Only if you're a sport man, that's when 53 years could be deemed unsuitable, otherwise it isn't the oldest age to start afresh. By eligibility, I didn't mean your qualifications or your professions in Nigeria, I mean the rights to work in the countries: and that right comes through difficulties and trial of time, you might see yourself and family seeking asylum and the outcome can not be guaranteed |
chiamo: I am a matured man, married with kids among who are grown-ups. I am self-employed with experiences in various fields’ .i.e business consulting, computer data entry, computer operating, freelance broadcaster etc. I have been opportune to travel some years ago to various countries like Germany, Portugal, Malta, Belgium, Hong Kong etc.1) It would be appropriate to seek "greener pastures" wherever there is indeed the greener pastures. 2) I don't know your age 3) It depends on circumstances and your aim and objectives 4) There are jobs available in both countries for those who are eligible for them |
naiko: thank you @ justwise and vicjustice, i sincerely grateful to you guys for your availability, prompt answers and infos. i can confirm today that i got my two years visa to the u.k.many thanks,i also want to extend my appreciations to ppl like ayobj,voskini,babybird82 and the rest guys, may God continue to strenghten you as you assist others with your knowledge, keep up the good job!Good to hear such good reports, keep them coming. Congrats! |
weezyana07:Read about it here: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas |
weezyana07: @vicjustice @justwise and all, am new on this tread so pls pardon me if I ask questions that has been answered already,I've tried to go tru the tread seem not to see something related to mine. No, the person who you mentioned as your sponsor is ineligible for that role. Read more here: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas |
miri8d: haha no no, I wouldn't go looking down some back ally for help in that sense.Oh, I thought he doesn't have a job, my mistake. So now, as he has a job and does not have sufficient fund, you can be his sponsor while his job represents a tie to Nigeria, and your parents can write a declaration of accommodation details. |
