Any class of degree can apply for the scholarship but how u get admission into a university with ur class of degree is now ur work to do. Mind u if u didn’t get admission u won’t get the scholarship and vice versa.


P.s there are a lot of schools that accept 2.2 but with third class that I haven’t seen.

ok that good but try take up the btmc too cuz dssc only takes 3 candidate per state and the chances are slim cuz big men children dey but u can apply as trade come out with ur corporal rank then with time go for course to archive CO . rather than always depending on that short service alone. why didn't u take the Navy u for be big boi now ..

Let’s say busy schedules disrupted my chances in the past. Who knows if I wud av been lucky with one of the navy stuff but now I have grown pass the age for other rank that’s why I am pushing for short service. I have my link may God just crown everything. Thanks for that pieces.

He's the first born out of 5 children. He's doing his PHD and has his own business. He still lives with our parents. So he does not pay for house, food or water. But can you imagine this brother of mine who makes money from his business doesn't contribute to the house for the same food he eats, when he makes money he goes to hotels and sleep over with women and prefers to train and help outsiders than bring something to the family. Recently, he had the effontry to reject my mummy's food on the ground that it was served late. I simply asked my mom to stop putting food for him.

Honestly this brother of mine has never brought joy to my parents and siblings. He has had several accidents driving carelessly, yet my mom still takes care of it all and she has even stayed over in the hospital when he had the last accident and became unconscious.

They're just the kind of brother one will have and you wished you never had a brother , my brother is exactly that kind of brother anyone will wish not to have. Not to talk of his dubious nature, you can't do simple business with him without him cheating on you. I once was rearing one animal and had to send him money for feeds but can you believe he was billing me in excess. We also contributed money to renovate our father's house and he emphatically told us he bought something which he didn't actually buy.

I wonder why God gave us this kind of brother, he has been like this since we all knew something and hasn't changed for good.
He has been sat down and talked to severally yet he will repent and still go back to his old ways .

Okay now let’s agree for the sake of argument that everyone who joins the army later in life do so due to job or frustration.

When they want to join that army later in life, they have to lobby and seek for connection, beg people, network, and etc.

I know lot of my friends that love the army and indicated their interest about joining after getting their B.tech. Most of them are part of the Man’o War in school and some of them are currently in the army as we speak. So that argument that only job frustration lead people to join the army might not be factually correct.

If NYSC can give them some opportunities to have that link to join the military without much hassle, then I see nothing bad in it.

God bless your knowledge. Why will someone say individuals joining the military is out of frustration or no job without examining those who have passion for it thou the former is correct in a country we find ourselves. In other countries individuals join the career they deem fit without others mocking them and even with the surplus of employment over there a lot of them still choose the career path knowing fully well of the danger that’s in the job.

Fayemi is mad for that statement. He should bring his children first before spitting that nonsense he said. I expect him to say those who are willing and able should join and leave the rest alone. With the competition that is in their selections and the numbers they will take military can’t even enlist all nysc corp member. Now u will see them taking 2-5 people per state.

Chevening, a uk �� government fully funded scholarship is currently ongoing and will close on November 2nd. Have u heard about it?. There’s no application fee just apply and write your essay with minimum of 2years of working experience.

Thank you for this info. I will check those apps out. Actually I have been using jumiapay Nd OPay app to recharge until lately they block access to it. I have friends who recharge for people with POS Nd they complain they can no longer sale prepaid subscription for people.

Firstly, is that why we cannot recharge from the comfort of our home with apps rather than to go and queue in their office.
Secondly, there’s no longer 1k prepaid subscription. May God help us on this country.

I was hired as a loader so the guy(my friend) tricky left the position Nd took a sales role and slot me in thou he warned me that the work is strongly rugged but I laughed him and reminded him how he was so lazy in our previous employment that he is fond of coming to work at lengthy intervals. Fast forward to the day I resume work I started proofing to b King Kong. I didn’t even go four round before I started jerking and I stylishly told the head of operation that I want to go Nd eat naso I escape ooo. My friend call me tire na curse I use end am for him. In the evening that we eventually see he laughed me Nd told our other friends the gist and they also laughed me too. I’m not a fortune teller but there will b a day those people who are castigating to join the force will be in big mess and they will seek military intervention and won’t see.

Do not be discouraged by the comments u see here op.
If u have the passion for the job go for it but be determined any wing of armed forces is not a joke. If u are someone that think military is for flexing pls don’t try it. As someone said in a group that most past and present top officers and generals joined with passion which makes them succeeded in the profession so you have to know what u are signing for. There are a lot of graduates like u who has joined. Don’t mind anybody.

Few people have guided u here. There are two options for graduates.

DDSC and SSC( direct short service commission and short service combatant).
Dssc are for professionals with professional bodies and practicing license. Thou there are few regular courses that always pop up under Dssc category for example If u are a graduate of biochemistry, statistics and some courses I have forgotten u will fit under ORDINANCE CORP and mind you options changes every year.
Ssc is mainly for all graduates irrespective of your course of study and this is majorly combat role. Nysc discharge certificate is a MUST.

Another thing to take note is your age. According to last year Dssc/Ssc recruitment the age for
Dssc candidates start from 28-40yrs
Ssc candidates from 18-27yrs. Here again age requirement also changes every year.

A word of advice to you op as u are trying applying to army also try navy and airforce as well and lastly as Nigeria settings is you have to know someone that know someone BUT you can also get it on merit. Good luck!!!.
