Politics › Re: Kano Bombing: Massob Threatens War by Vincent41(m): 12:37pm On Mar 20, 2013 |
ifeduba1988: The leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB and new Igbo leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has warned Nigeria that Ndigbo would be forced to defend itself from the recent killings in various parts of the North.
Chief Uwazuruike, while reacting to the bomb blasts in Kano yesterday said the Igbo had been pushed to the wall by the Boko Haram insurgency, adding that the people would be left with no other option than to defend themselves.
“I am ready to declare another civil war in this country if this killings and other senseless activities on Ndigbo continue like this because I know that it was this type of massacre that brought about the first civil war in Nigeria.” “I am disappointed in our people, when they were being slaughtered, I brought out buses to bring them home, but they refused to come home and remained in the North.
What I did was to safeguard their lives because their lives were in danger. But I want to warn President Goodluck Jonathan that there is limit to everything. Ndigbo can no longer continue to allow themselves to be senselessly killed in the North.
“We are not cowards because I believe that it was this type of senseless killings that prompted the civil war and we are aware of the consequences of the ongoing provocation, but I must warn that Ndigbo are not cowards and will react if pushed to the wall because there is limit to everything,” he said.
Also confirming the incident, the leader of Ndigbo in Kano, Chief Tobias Idika said the incident happened when two buses belonging to Gobison Motors Limited were about leaving the park to their various parts of the South East.
According to him, the suspected Boko Haram members planted explosives in the two buses of which one was bound to go to Aba in Abia State and the other on its way to Lagos. “I received information that there was bomb blasts involving two buses, one going to Aba and the other going to Lagos. The bombs exploded simultaneously, killing several persons suspected to be mainly Christians with Ndigbo dominating the list.
“The suspects, according to information were sighted going around the park before perfecting their evil acts, by allegedly planting dangerous explosives in the two buses belonging to Gobison Motors, which exploded and killed almost all the occupants on board.” Chief Idika in an emotion laden voice disclosed that Ndigbo had been reduced to mere sheep being slaughtered in the streets of the North, adding that the state government had not done enough to protect the lives and property of Ndigbo.
He disclosed that five luxury buses belonging to Gobison, Ezenwata and Chimezie transport companies were affected in the bomb blasts, adding that the fire fighters were still struggling to put off the fire from the buses, which he said over 60 passengers were burnt beyond recognition as at the time of filling this report.
“The major problem we are having is insecurity, like today incident, so many people were killed in the blasts, as am talking to you, we have evacuated and counted over 60 persons and we are still trying to put out fire in the four vehicles affected in the blasts.”

Politics › Re: French Businessman To Meet Ansaru, Boko-Haram Leaders by Vincent41(m): 10:24am On Mar 20, 2013 |
CFCfan: President Goodluck Jonathan calls them ghosts. But a French businessman and an Islamic activist is travelling down to Nigeria in April to meet leaders of the Islamic terror groups, the Boko Haram and Ansaru.
The man who has given himself the daring task is Rachid Nekazz, a flamboyant, handsome and a rich French businessman.
He plans to arrive Kano on 1 April, staying till 7 April before returning to France.
Nekazz puts his money where his mouth is; he is never scared to speak against the government or in favour of Muslims anywhere they are maltreated or subjected to ridicule.
He spends his personal money to travel from continent to continent advocating for Muslims’ religious and civil right.
The 41-year old is also popular for advocating women’s freedom to wear the nijab in Europe. He once pledged one million euros to pay fines of French Muslim women caught wearing the full veil.
Nekkaz believes that Boko Haram and Ansaru are organisations that advocate for the respect and dignity of African Muslims. He likened the actions of the sects to that of the controversial American organisation, Black Panthers, during the 1960’s and 70’s. “With respect to the dignity of the Muslim people of Africa and of Nigeria, the actions of the Boko Haram and Ansaru organisations have definitely resulted in numerous repercussions in the international press since 2009,” he said.
He added that like “The Black Panthers of America made many key strategic errors in their time. Those errors have tainted not only their image, but that of Islam in and outside the US for the last 30 years.”
Nekkaz is optimistic that his trip to Nigeria next month will help leaders of the sect avoid the errors made by the Black Panthers in the US. “By discussing and helping their mission and their strategic choices in a way that would accomplish their local mission, while improving the image of Islam across the world,” he explained.
He also hopes to address the French hostage situation while he is Nigeria. In 2009, Nekkaz travelled with Jean-Bruno Roumegoux China in hopes of preventing the execution of 12 young Uyghurs, a Muslim minority in China living mainly in the region Xinjuang, in western China. Nekkaz is the son of Algerian immigrants to France where he was born. He studied history of philosophy at the Sorbonne, France. He later made a fortune with an internet start-up but then diversified into real estate.
With real estate came politics and in 2007 he contested the French Presidential elections but failed to secure the 500 endorsements required. In the legislative elections of the same year, he founded his own party, standing in the 7th district of Seine-Saint-Denis and receiving only 156 votes, just over 0.5 per cent of the ballot. He unsuccessfully stood in 2008 for the municipal elections, promising €300 to every voter if elected.
He has had problems with the French government which includes two international tax audits and one week imprisonment for his political activism.
Egypt’s Cheikh Abou Ishaq, and Iran’s Ayatollah Safi are some of the world’s Muslim spiritual leaders that have celebrated Nekkaz for his actions and his advocacy for the rights of Muslim women in Europe.
In Nigeria he will meet with a different opposition. The Islamic sects are different from what Nekkaz has always fought for but it is not impossible that he could proffer some solution and reach an agreement with the sect leaders. A respite in the North will be a welcome idea. Nekkaz is the author of Millenarium, a book of interviews with the leaders of the G7 countries (Clinton, Chirac, Blair…). The book is focused on the future of World Ethics, Human Rights, and Peace.
Despite his advocacy for women wearing the niqab, he does not support men to force their wives to wear it and stay at home. “I’m in favour of a law to convict a husband who forces a woman to wear the niqab and who forces her to stay at home. But I’m also for a law that lets these women move freely in the streets, because freedom of movement, just like any freedom, is the most fundamental thing in a democracy. How can a woman truly integrate or find a job if her face is hidden?” he asked.

Walecole74: According to the parish priest of Christ the King Catholic Parish, Kurudu, Abuja, Rev. Fr. Jerome Ituah (OCD), the Boko Haram sect has destroyed 50 out of the 52 Catholic churches in Maiduguri Catholic Diocese of Borno State.
Ituah, who was speaking yesterday during a church service, revealed that he was in Maiduguri during the week and that Catholic faithfuls, were forced to conduct services under the sun and rain, because of the destruction carried out by the Islamists.
“Out of the 52 catholic churches in Maiduguri diocese, 50 of them have been destroyed by Boko Haram. Yet the faithful are not discouraged of their faith. You would always see them worshipping under rain and sun in open places at the site of their destroyed places of worship,” he stated.
He also encourgaed the Catholics in Kurudu, to continually pray for their Maiduguri counterparts and those in other regions, where insurgency is a threat. Where is this country heading to and some people are clamouring amnesty for this group?

Health › Re: 1 Million HIV-Positive People In Benue – govt by Vincent41(m): 9:51am On Mar 18, 2013 |
contactmorak: The Benue State government has disclosed that over one million out of the 4.5 million population in the state have been infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
This was made known at the training of media professional on HIV/AIDS held at the Conference Hall, Ministry of Information, Markurdi, Benue State, on Thursday.
The Executive Secretary, Benue State Action on Control of AIDS (BESACA), Mrs. Grace Wende, in a paper entitled “Basic facts on HIV/AIDS,” said that about 400,000 children living with the virus have been placed on antiretroviral drugs (ARV), adding that 708,640 adults are living with the disease.
Based on the statistics, about two out of five people in the state are carriers of the disease, with women having it more than men.
“In Benue State, the number of adults infected with HIV/AIDS was 708,640, out of which 21,259 were new infections in 2011. In the same year, 17,139 women were found positive. The number of children requiring ARV was 398,888,” she said.
Mrs Wende cited the attitude of the people of the state to unprotected sex and the rising number of youths becoming homosexuals as factors responsible for the rise in the scourge. Speaking further, Mrs. Wende noted that many men who flock around ladies and engage in unprotected sex also transmit the virus to their unsuspecting wives.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Comrad Wegba, regretted that despite the huge amount of funds the state had committed into the fight against the scourge, the disease was still spreading.
He blamed the practise of unprotected sex and the deliberate spreading of the disease by carriers as the major sources of the spread of the disease in the state.
“The former governor of the state, Chief George Akume, visited Angola to see the havoc the disease wreaked on the land and ways to reduce the scourge. Unfortunately, while the prevalence of the disease has reduced in other parts of the country, Benue is getting worse by the day and this is as a result of our attitude to unprotected sex as well as deliberate move by the carriers to spread the disease,” Wegba said.
Together with Mrs. Wende, the commissioner called for behavioural change among the people, urging them to stick to a partner and use condom. http://tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/news/item/7432-one-million-people-hiv-positive-in-benue-govt hahahahahahah....na where i de serve oooooooo...hahahah...benue sabi f****- maka chiii |

Celebrities › Re: Lil Wayne In Critical Condition And In A Coma After More Seizures by Vincent41(m): 5:08pm On Mar 16, 2013 |
emmalezy: Lil Wayne is in ICU in critical condition after suffering yet another seizure, and we’re told it doesn’t look good … ReportNaija has learned.
We broke the story … the 30-year-old rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures. He was released Wednesday but just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious.
Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably.
We’re told Wayne is currently “unstable,” and has been placed in an induced coma. He is breathing through tubes.
We’re told several people are at Wayne’s bedside crying, and a number of rap artists and family members are on the way. Sources say the scene is violent as Wayne shakes uncontrollably.
Sources say there’s evidence Wayne went on a Sizzurp binge after being released Wednesday, because doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system.
We’re told Wayne's stomach was pumped 3 times to flush the drugs from his system.
His mother have flown to LA to ascertain the condition of his son.
