So he and his thugs have simply embraced shameless lies and cheap propaganda.

Always SE, SS or North soldiers dying. You will never hear a Yoruba soldier die. They are always the ones crying and complaining like the one shouting "see how people Boko Haram killed, Buhari come to our aid" in that video making rounds. SMH afonjas!

It's because Yorùbá soldier wise pass ni nww. you were given obsolete and lower ammunition to fight Terrorists, how will a reasonable person begin to prove bravery infront of them. Knowing how to fight as well as Take to your hills is what is called bravery.

APC cannot loose Lagos with the present PDP in Lagos

that aside, if federal might tends to aid ambode inn against the stakeholders wishes then the PDP should get ready to exploit that advantage as tinubu will work against buhari victory in southwest and sanwolu would be lead to AD to take his governorship election which would put an end to APC. PDP cannot win Lagos state they have no political tactics and vibes to win Lagos

Same way APC won Osun state... right? Alliance with Omisore and Other small parties ..

Jimi Agbaje ought to be governor of lagos but he was in a wrong party
Ambode matter is done, seal and dusted. He's gone

He is right to an extent. Analogy of Jimi Agbaje is totally out of it. Ambode has convinced the populace through his first term. Jimi Agbaje was a new comer.
APC risk Lagos to another party if they fail to give Ambode the Support. Take for instance the 2015 presidential election Vote recorded a small margin between APC and PDP. Nowq Imagine Ambode giving his support to PDP in the next election.

Agriculture / Re: Between Rabbit Farming And Poultry, What Can You Suggest For A Student by walexsho(m): 2:32pm On Sep 02, 2018
All Agricultural produce are difficult to market in Nigeria due to close substitutes smuggled into the country and sold at cheaper cost. I've raised broilers, layers and Turkey the mortality of birds are so painful. Marketing them is a big competition due to smuggled frozen Chicken and Turkey.
I've planted maize, sundried and ready to sell, the market women frustrated me with their ridiculous pricing. It is undisputable fact that Rabbit or Grasscutter is a bit difficult to market but where there is Will, there is a way.
20k can't be invested in poultry, except you want to raise just 10birds, with part of the money going into feeding and medications. without running cost you can Raise Rabbit, Goat and Sheep by feeding them on Grasses, Dried cassava peels etc. but they aren't short term investment.

The year I got into covenant , in my department , the average jamb score was 250, and many that wanted architecture that year and didn't have up to 260 and 45/60 in post UTME had to find some other department or school... Thats why you read the interviews with our best graduating students, learning that they had 300 and above in Jamb.

Acceptance fee in CU is paid long before fedral or state schools even start post jamb exams , so its not like they come because they were denied admission somewhere else .

Just this year, a course-mate of mines' sibling was denied Archie and computer engineering , was told at the admission office that he needed minimum 280 in jamb to make his BRQ sufficient enough to study those programmes

I dont know why you guys get all bitter and boil with rage , jumping into conclusion on matters you have absolutely no idea about... But then again, it only shows the kind of education received . smiley

God forbid, i dont have a date with poverty. Besides we have reared rabbits in the past. All this backyard farming u guys do and deceive urselves with thinking its a sustainable source of income. May God help us in Nigeria. Its because of lack of readily available white collar jobs that people /youths deceive themselves with backyard farming. Thats how fish farming people were deceiving everyone with backyard farming some years ago. May God open the eyes of youths to see the truth and stop following illusions. If backyard farming is a sustainable source of income, then those in the villages will be millionaires and not living in poverty.
With this your post, I wonder if you've created tonnes of white colar Jobs Somewhere for people to apply, Millions are generated through livestock rearing excluding poultry and acquaculture, which are soooo risky. One need an alternative source of income as a beginner of any Business venture .Do you know why acquaculture is not profitable? Cos there are cheaper and billions of fishes from the natural source. Likewise for poultry, there are locally reared and imported alternatives and people buy life chicken mostly during festive periods.

Most impoverished nations rely on exporting agric produces while developed nations export industrialized products. Cocoa farmers in Ivory Coast are so poor, yet the companies abroad that buy their cocoa and turn it to chocolate and other products make a fortune. Do the maths... Stop living in an illusion.

Culture / Re: Teach Me Yoruba Language(come In If U Are Interested In Learning Too) by walexsho(m): 8:51am On Dec 10, 2017
Loluores:

There's a problem with offering translations in Yoruba in this way. It's prone to inaccuracies.

You've just implied above that ṣé means should. If the person you're teaching then goes on to accept that, they'd be making blunders everywhere! They'd say:

English: You should go.
Yoruba: O ṣé lọ. (ehn)

Ṣé is called a sentential modifier in Yoruba grammar, which is, it modifies the whole sentence. In this case, it's used simply to turn a whole statement into a question. In some cases when translating, you can never really find direct translations, only close equivalents between languages. Ṣé might be loosely translated as "Is it (that)...?" In French, they sometimes say "Est-ce que...?" in front of a statement to ask a question, similar to ṣé

Kín does not mean I. It's only the n part that means I, the is a separate word. So it's written as kí n, not kín
So, what is ?

is called an introducer or a complementizer marking the irrealis mood. Eeehn? What's all this grammar, you might ask.

is also a word put in front of a whole sentence (that's why it is called an introducer). I'll leave out the explanation of complementizer, don't wanna get too complex. Irrealis nko? Irrealis talks about words that express concepts like wishes, prayers, fears, doubts, hopes, obligations, permission, commands etc. within the predicate of a sentence. Some languages like French might call it the subjunctive mood. The opposite of this is the realis mood, which might be called the indicative mood.

When I say, "should I go?" like in your example above, I'm expressing the need for someone's permission, maybe a doubt. That's what signifies. It's not only that can signify this irrealis mood in Yoruba, there are other words like gbọ́dọ̀ (must), ní láti (have to, need to) and (can), but lemme leave it at that.

When the first person singular subject pronoun is used with , it changes from mo to n. So it's kí n, not kí mo.

Now, see these examples illustrating these ideas.

I did it. = Mo ṣe é. (realis)

Did I do it? = Ṣé mo ṣe é? (realis. Weird, huh, since it's an expression of possible self doubt. I'll explain some other time)

Should I do it? = Ṣé kí n ṣe é? (irrealis, seeking permission or command)

Should I do it? = Ṣé mo gbọ́dọ̀ ṣe é? (irrealis, obligation as in "Must I do it?", "Have I to do it?", "Do I have to do it?" )

Should I do it? = Ṣé mo ní láti ṣe é? (irrealis, necessity as in "Need I do it?", "Do I need to do it?" )

To the learners, I'm sure by now you can say "Can I go do it?" in Yoruba. The words you need are here in this comment, put two and two together.

All these nuances, very interesting, shey (ṣé)? Maybe I should even just write a book (bóyá kí n tiẹ̀ kúkú kọ̀wé kan sílẹ̀ ni o). smiley
It's a problem that came up with this website while trying to put dot sign under the 'S'
"Should" means "S'̣e"
Should I: S'̣e kin?
Should I sing: S'̣e kin kọrin?
When using Should in form of interrogation (asking question) the above is the correct Yoruba form for "Should"
But when using "Should" in another form, for instance, "He should be there" Should will be translated as "Oyẹ ki"
