Good for you |
crap and arrant nonsense - have u seen where the white man adapts to the African way of speaking? why will you as an African venture to adapt the way of the white man or their accent when they don't even give a dam u exist? anyone who is African but tries to copy the white man in their accent - is nothing but someone who feels inferior being an African and blames God for making him/her an African. Why don't you start changing this arrant nonesense by not writing in English. The fact that you are affliated in the least bit with English means you balme your God for making you African. You should go ask for forgiveness now. |
The basis of the whole "unromatic" term is the fact that the woman did not call her husband what is considered romantic by the Western culture. So she did not call him some name considered romantic in the western culture so she is not romantic. What if her husband considers OGA romanitic, how would you know? As long as your wife or sibnigicant figure calls you what you consider romantic don't worry. |
I wouldn't say it is necessary for people to adapt to an accent but most people see the need to fit it and in so they try to adapt. I don't find a problem with people that adapt but I think the most horrid thing is trying to speak ebonics. It's horrid on black American's but worse when you try to fit in with a people who will forever try to openly tell you your inferior. |
It only depends on what you want to marry for. If he doesn't do it for you then why waste your time? However if the clock is ticking and you have a history of losers, then marry. History might not change course for you so if you dump him then it could get worse for you. |
I think this is a ood idea. Except when the money comes who go get am. Na de pickin dem whey se smoke or the snake under grass gpvernment that will use it for their swiss accounts? |
Seriously, did the experts not observed that poverty is the second most visible feat recorded at Igbo Ora? Well, I happened to know this through my contact with them. They are fertile no doubt, but the sends their kids to neighbouring locality and Lagos, due to poverty. They don't need any medal, what they need are family planning experts. Child labour is very common there. Why can't we just be happy. I don't think its fair to say that twins or kids improvish people. Everyone in Nigeria does not hav twins but the whole country is generally poor. What the government should do when they take a little rest break from stealing money is help people with too many twins. |
i have always wondered if the people in power in Nigeria will ever strongly look into solar energy. I mean we have enough sun that will solar energy might help us. I mean the Chineese have done it where the government pays half for anyone that is interested in putting up a dolar panel. I am in no means comparing China and Nigeria, though we are both "Third World Countries". |
If you think she is out of reach it might be because she is in school and thinks your uneducated. You text her and she might find your texts as difficult to read as I am finding this. Try spelling better next time and she will take you serious. |

I just finished THINGS FALL APART and now reading BELOVED |
How can a country that is not peaceful go to other country to keep peace, i wonder!!!.Honestly. I am happy that Nigeria has taken it on herself to try and help Darfur becuase God knows they need, how ever I think Nigeria should first help itself before looking at others. Nigeria is one of the most dangerous nations in the world and I think the government should tackle that before going to Sudan. |
they only colonized the yorubas and igbos not the hausas in the north err body speak they land language and that's what i love about it.So didn't the Hausa's live in Nigeria when they Colonized it? |
By the way did you pass through school at all ? If at all you did,I guess they must have taught you about Punctuations and i guess turkish schools are no exceptions.Thank you for telling am |
Anglophone countries don't get into a pissing match of trying to consider yourselves "more African". And don't tell me that Anglophone African countries "hate" their colonized past, when I see Naija women running to buy bleaching cream and put blond wigs on their heads.Good point but I don't think that has anything to do with Nigerian women trying to connect with the British Colonization. It more that influence of the west is so great and everyone wants the white woman appeal. Even Indians bleach, orientals get double eye lids and so on. I think its more that French colonial masters were not as ruthless and evil and the British. Also France is more willing to accept people from its former colonies than Britain is. It is easier for people from a French colony to go to France than it is for people from any of the British colonies to go to England. Except if they are from the Cayman Islands. |
Lier Lier. I Googled the supposed killing of a Nigerian by the Turkish police and the only thing I found was another thread by you claiming that a Nigerian was killed by the Turkish police. You being in Turkey has nothing to do with the fact that you are ignorant when it comes to English and the Turkish key boards does not hinder grammer. Stop making up stories because you want attention. |
that most people in Diaspora/abroad/overseas doesnt do anything good as work and with their time is reflected in the time they spend here on Nairaland and indeed the number of posts they make per day - meaningful and meaningless - so, there u go!!! Thanks poster for starting this thread.Because we are not doing slave labor we can relax at work and sometimes we do this by coming and interacting on Nairaland. It is not the fault of those abroad that people have to use internet cafes or work for hours without being able to relax |
I hate that song. I oath it. He looks like a chipunk with those cheeks. |
@ Grin Grin thats proper business, just Pray About it, and will know if u have to agree or not because the man may be your real husband self who knows.Na wah oo. Pray to see if her sisters husband is hers. Good advice. |
Chibudo- god is peace. Amarachi- Grace of God |
you can't dispute that because you have not shown us your own pics! you may even wowo pass am abi wetin: person call himself fine boy it becomes laughable stuff. show us your pics if you want to contest it. less this, he's undisputed fine boy.Well since I am not a male I am not going to be contending with him on such a feat. You on the other hand has maleon your status so you should contend and we will see who wins. |
