phrankjay:Hahahaha! The street lights enhance beauty and illumination, keeping secret things mostly at bay. The incessant stealings are done under the cover of darkness. |
NOETHNICITY:Spot it! |
Eeeeeh! |
Abuja Under Deadly Attack, as FCT Minister is Declared ‘Missing’ By Jennifer Ajimande Residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, are apprehensive about the obscure state of street lights in the city centers, as they have demanded for answers, as to what the Government of the day is doing to address the challenges. For many who live in Abuja, you will agree that the city has lost its glorious days. The once very safe and beautiful city, with functional streets lights (obviously the envy of other big cities in the country), is now a hub of darkness, motor accidents, thievery and other social vices. It is disappointing to see that almost 90 percent of the street lights in the city are not functioning optimally, and the situation is beginning to brew unusual security concerns, among dwellers. A drive around Abuja at night, makes one feel no different from being in a rural area, owing to the vast darkness and the number of wheel-less vehicles left abandoned at the mercy of criminals. Post-Nigeria, spoke to some residents and road users, who decried the poor state of the city street lights, stating that it has not only increased the number of motor accidents at night, but has also given criminals, freewill to cause mayhem in the city. “I was robbed of my Toyota Venza in Gwarimpa at gun point last month, while returning from work around 8:00pm. A car hit me from behind around First Bank. I got out of my car to confront the driver, only for two guys to enter my car with a gun, and asked me to cooperate with them or I will be killed. My life was taken away that night, because I had very important documents in there,” Victoria, an entrepreneur said. Another road user particularly complained about Lifecamp – Gwarinpa express way, which has been a shadow of its self for a long time. Mr. Bode, a taxi driver who left Lagos to pitch his tent in Abuja, lamented that the three lane road around Life camp – Gwarinpa express way, has no single street light, thus, have been causing fatal accidents in the area at night. The taxi driver added, “that some parts of Jabi, Garki and Wuse 2 are only navigable, if your vehicle’s head lamps are super radiant, because the street lights are dead”. Mr. Yemi Fajiola, who lives on Mike Akhigbe Street, Jabi, said that, “in recent times, there has been an endless re-occurrence of vehicle head on collisions every now and then, because of broken street lights.” “As a result of the obscurity of the nights, crime rates have been on the increase. Your vehicle dare not breakdown around the dark corners in Jabi. You will come back in the morning to meet your car stereo, battery and other valuables gone. Most disturbing and nerve wrecking, is the sight of your vehicle completely vandalized, with your wheels calmly sitting on four gigantic stones”, Yemi added. He also suspects that the police must be involved, hence they are supposed to keep vigilance throughout the night. “If not, why are these criminals never caught. Police have some explaining to do, because they always seem to be patrolling the area”, he reiterated. On Lagos street, area 11 Garki, Abubakar Abubakar, swore that there were streets around the city centers that he have never seen street lights come on. “Even when the lights finally come on, you will find that out of 20 street lights, only 5 or 6 are functional. I wonder why the poles are still standing, when they have no use”. Abubakar added. In the central district close to the Central Mosque, Silverbird Galleria and its environ, the story is not any different, people have fallen victims of car snatchers and petty thieves, making away with peoples valuables, as the area is always pitch black. Tell me and be sincere, is this the change we need? Anyway, don't mob me by the headline, it is obvious the FCT Minister is missing in action!

Abagworo:How many geopolitical zones do you think will fight the war aginst ND? |
Abagworo:You lied! |
oyb:Trash! If oil is no longer important, allow them to blow up the pipelines!!!! |
TrueSenator:In as much as I don't support the action of the NDA, yet your analogy is lame. They have lived with all these facilities for many years but can not benefit from them. Those controlling and benefitting from them are foreigners. Your story is about a father and son! |
koladebrainiac:Is it now "their own resources"? Good twist! So pipes that siphone oil out of people's teritories without first taking care of them is a resource? That's okay!!! |
MRSALT:It is farther than you think. You can't get it right by using military force. The avengers though must be cautious but the government must learn to be wise. |
Bunyadi: London's first naked restaurant opens BY KIRSTIE MCCRUM A restaurant where people shed their clothes to dine in the nude has thrilled diners on its first service in London. The Bunyadi, set to open to the public on June 11, is London's first nude restaurant, offering an entirely natural eating experience, free from the trappings of modern life. This includes phones, electric lights and even clothing. A 42-capacity venue, it currently has almost 44,000 people on its waiting list, but it's only open for three months. The first diners at the undisclosed venue - invited as part of its 'soft opening' - have praised the food, ambiance and freedom as they shed their threads. Harriet Starling wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page: "I didn't want it to end! Was absolutely incredible - every moment. "Pure freedom, the best staff and atmosphere, flawless food. To whoever gets to go, you will never forget it." The Bunyadi, London's Naked Restaurant Another, Lizzie West, wrote: "I felt so relaxed, comfortable, free!... it just worked." Others said the food was "inspired" and "delicious" and the the whole experience was "perfection". Yoann Belmere reviewed his trial meal, writing: "You enter a cocktail bar and after a cocktail you're invited to change into a comfortable gown before being led to the atmospheric restaurant area where tables are separated by bamboo curtains, see-through to stimulate the brain but hidden enough to feel in your private booth. "The raw food was exquisite too! Highly recommended with a group of friend or for a unusual experience with your special someone!" The Bunyadi, London's Naked Restaurant The venue also offers a "clothed" section for those who don't wish to drop their drawers before dining. The eatery is the latest idea from Lollipop, the people behind the Breaking Bad-inspired cocktail bar ABQ. Guests at Bunyadi restaurant - which means fundamental, base or natural - enjoy wood-flame grilled meals served on handmade clay crockery and edible cutlery. The Bunyadi, London's Naked Restaurant Lollipop founder Seb Lyall said: "We believe people should get the chance to enjoy and experience a night out without any impurities: no chemicals, no artificial colours, no electricity, no gas, no phone and even no clothes if they wish to. "The idea is to experience true liberation.” "We have worked very hard to design a space where everything patrons interact with is bare and naked," Seb continued. "The use of natural bamboo partitions and candlelight has enabled to us to make the restaurant discreet."

Youths protest over the proposed Islamization of Nigeria – The Coalition of Civil Society and Faith Based Organization (CCSFBO) have warned that a bill which is seeking the increase in the jurisdiction of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the FCT and Sharia Court of the states is dangerous to the unity of Nigeria – The convener of the group, Obande Gideon faults the leadership of the House for encouraging the introduction of a religious doctrine into the constitution of the nation knowing fully well that Nigeria is a multi-religious nation – Gideon expresses surprise that those from other religious extraction in the House and those who are considered as noble people in the House of Representatives despite their religious affiliation have kept silent over the controversial bill Hundreds of protesters under the aegis of the Coalition of Civil Society and Faith Based Organization (CCSFBO) on Tuesday, June 7, staged a protest at the National Assembly over the ongoing amendment of the Sharia laws, insisting that alteration of section 262 and 277 of the 1999 Constitution as amended is an attempt at the Islamization of Nigeria. The protesters who were of both Christian and Muslim faiths warned that a bill which is seeking the increase in jurisdiction of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the FCT and Sharia Court of the states as it borders on the criminal justice system of the nation is an attempt to create disunity in Nigeria. According to Vanguard, the group staged a peaceful protest from the Unity Fountain to NASS Complex, carrying placard with various inscriptions stating:“Christians and Muslims are one”, “Do not alter section 262 and 277”, “Don’t abuse our freedom”, “We love Nigeria, we love our unity”, etc. The convener of the rally, Obande Gideon during his address to newsmen faulted the leadership of the House for encouraging the introduction of a religious doctrine into the constitution of the nation knowing fully well that Nigeria is a multi-religious nation. He said: “With the clear picture that some of the suggestions of the Sharia law for example; amputation and stoning to death etc are dehumanization, we see this as a clear and deliberate attempt to heat up the polity of this country bearing in mind that we have suffered a lot of crisis on religious lines. “We see this as a direct infringement on our fundamental human right as every citizen of this great nation is entitled to the freedom of worship, we thereby see the above move of engrafting the provisions of the sharia law into the sections 262 and 277 as a direct imposition of an Islamic doctrine on the Nigerian people and especially the Christian Community in Nigeria. Gideon said it was surprising that those from other religious extraction in the house and those considered as noble people in the House of Representatives despite their religious affiliation have kept silent over the controversial bill. “We are totally disappointed that the Speaker and his team of leaders in the 8th assembly will allow an amendment that will temper with the rights of Nigerians despite the support and solidarity he has enjoyed from Nigerians which is totally devoid of religious or ethnic sentiments, he said. Similarly, a representative of Muslim community, Ibrahim Dallah described the ongoing amendment of the Sharia laws as a cog in the wheel of progress in the unity of Nigeria. In a related development, Colonel Chris Otulana (rtd), former Director, Directorate of Nigerian Military emanating from Churches and Mosques as a measure to check religious fundamentalism. Chris Otulana said on the backdrop of pledge of allegiance Boko Haram made to the Islamic State (ISIS) operating in Iraq and Syria, said that some youths are recruited from religious centres, calling on parents to ensure their children are appropriately educated. |
aragonchuks:Hahahah! If hardwork beats talents, then that is possible!! With hardwork she rocked 320 in 26years, and with your talent, that got you confused!!! |
MadCow1:It is MadCow again!!!! Even the Fulani hersmen cannot control this one. So "one year means 8years" in office? You can't get away with this! Now I know that everything about APC is all lies!!!! So you scammed Nigerians with unrealistic promises simply to clinch power? You are not smarter than God!!!!! |
lonelydora:Calling for patienxe abi? No wonder your name is Lonely... you are alone in this one again. Were Nigerians in need of Patience, they would have allowed GEJ in Aso Rock villa. After chasing him and his wife, Patience, out you still need patience as if 1year is not enough to fix the so-called rot! Buhari is not a stranger to Nigeria. Having contested election four times he should be able to come up with an all-inclusive policy that Nigerians will be happy with. Up till this moment, your president is still campaining as if another election is coming up next month! |
louqas:As a Fulani you are, you will always support your people. If what you claimed of AK47 is true, those Fulanis caught with AK47 between Delta and Edo what were they holding? Ofcourse the courts were quick to hand them 10years jail term and the likes of you are blind to that! You deserve pity!!!! |
Hmmmm! |
Barely two months after being rescued from a prostitution cartel, former sex-worker has passed on According to reports, 26-year-old Abigail Olori, who was rescued from prostitution in Libya recently, has passed on. The former prostitute who revealed how she had to abort 320 pregnancies while still in Libya recently, was said to have been very sick while she granted that interview in April 2016. PAY ATTENTION: Get the latest gossips on Naij Gossip App Abigail had mentioned how she was in fear for her life, because she had been promised death by the Libya human traffickers should she have to expose them. Sharing the sad news, human rights activist and private investigator for Alliance of Rights Defenders (ARD) Tunde Oshokoya, had this to say: “It is with heavy heart that we announce Abigail’s passing. She died after a brief illness she came down with while she was in Libya. Since we rescued her, we took her for treatment but she gave up the ghost. It is sad that ARD, an NGO took up the responsibility to rescue and rehabilitate trafficked victims without any assistance from government”. Abigail was rescued alongside three other girls out of the 500 that were trafficked by a couple, Alhaji Muritala Sanni and his wife Alhaja Lateefat Sanni. RIP to her.

Hmmm! Nigeria is truly a GREAT NATION with truly GOOD PEOPLE. Your observations and supports are great. But I need Lalasticlala and Mynd44 to make their own inputs. |
THE MIRACLE OF CHIBOK Chibok is that little town in Borno that came to limelight by the activities of islamic Boko Haram; the height of it is the abduction of the Chibok School Girls. After that, there has always been one story or the other to either support or oppose the authenticity of the abduction. Many people have appeard on the political, social, religious, and other stages at their disposals to make a point. But the more people speak and the more events unfold, Nigerians and indeed, the whole world are coming to terms that the whole saga may not be true after all. At the height of Boko Haram insurgency, the leader of the group Abubakar Shekau was declared wanted (dead or alive) and the United States of America placing a huge sum on his head for anyone with useful information. But the Nigerian military woke up one day and declared that they killed Shekau without a tangible or convincing evidence. America turned a blind eye! Did they lie? Now again, we are faced with the rescue of the Chibok girls in a manner that questions the truthfulness of the Nigerian military. See the few analysis below: Analysis Number 1. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Girl's Age = 15 Nigeria's educational system = 6 3 3 4 Date of abduction = 2014 (2 years ago) Age at abduction = 15 - 2 = 13 Girl's class at abduction = SS3 (©Chibok girls taking SSCE physics) So, a 13 year old girl who cannot speak English was taking physics at Chibok secondary school mbok? 6yrs primary school + 6yrs Secondary school = 12 years. This implies our miracle Chibok babe entered primary school at age 1, yet can't speak English! If this lack of knowledge of English made her repeat any class in this trajectory of divine educational trajectory, that means the bigger miracle that she started school in the womb! I love the way APC and Buhari are insulting the intelligence of Nigerians in 'wetin una go do' style. Una never see something! Analysis Number 2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So Amina Ali was Abducted 2 years ago at the age of 15 bearing one name, now she has returned at 19 with a 15 month old baby bearing two different names? God forgive my curiosity! Is 15+2 no longer 17? 15 months + 9 months = 24 months ( Two years) and these girls were kidnapped in April, 2014 and we are in May 2016. Does it mean Amina was pregnant before her abduction? If YES, was she seeing the Boko Haram man they are referring to as her husband before her abduction? Nigeria is the real Game of thrones!...
|
I have one, but how much are you offering to someone with such information? |
Who wrote this trash? The writer of this trash has no shame... he/she must know that campaign is over and APC is now in power, courtesy of all their promises, one of them being that they will crush boko haram and free the chibok girls. Parading only one Amina that couldnot express herself in primary english is annoying. Is she the chibok girls? Talking about Ese, the person/people who kidnapped her has/have nothing to do with boko haram. So your comparison is bad. If Nigerians know that fighting corruption will bring them to where we are today, they would have voted against Buhari. Nothing is working; only propaganda! Are you confortable now? |
That's you! My wife is ten years older than me, and I am okay with her!!!! |
Seun360:He has Statetionalized...!!! |
olaitoro:You forgot OTOKOTO HOTEL oooh!!!! |
Thanks |
ajadematanle:I doubt it... back to sender!!!!! |
bright007:Don't mind them. When the northerners want to scam Nigerians, they will wear illiterate clothes, but do not dare to call them illiterates when the national cake is on the table! They mean that WAEC and NECO are just meant to test only Southerners while the northern candidates pass through without being qualified. If they keep pushing this then it will make an interesting case. |
cramjones:I believe you. You made a clear point! |
