kobosmalls:I hypothesize that there are two species of man on the planet today, there is the acknowledged Homo Sapiens (thinking man) and Homo Religio (religious man). Homo Sapiens survive by thinking while Homo Religio is only concerned about matters of faith. Homo Religio is prominent in Nigeria and most developing countries. |
ATMC:Please can you educate me on how most living things came from dust? |
You are not drowning my bother, the fact is that you are perfectly normal. The abnormality would have been if you do not get sexual urges if you saw a beautiful ass. You problem is psychological, years of religious indoctrination coupled with your disciplinarian father has instilled a deep sense of guilt into your mind for an absolutely normal process. It is the sense of guilt that is disturbing you. Read this study, that shows that an average man thinks about sex than food. Men think about sex just 19 times a day - nearly as much as foodYou are even lucky, you have a nice kongi at your beck and call, some people here would pay a fortune to shine that kongi, so shine it well, but make sure you take adequate protection. Sex had never stopped anyone from being great, if fact most great men (including those in the bible) had huge sexual energy. |
I already commended him. But can you please explain why he wears a self portrait? I am really curious to know. |
EasternActivist:Although I commend governor willy obiano for at least doing something, as most governors in Nigeria have nothing concrete to show for their entire tenure, the habit of always wearing a self portrait seem to convey some mental medical condition. Why would a man feel the need to wear a self portrait around in public? What is he advertising? Can any psychiatric doctor in the house explain the name of the medical condition? |
emmy4life02:Then you must be part of the 5%. Jokes apart, I do not know why you supported APC, but I think it is too early to regret supporting APC. If by the end of the four year mandate given the APC, the economy is as bad or worse than when they came in, then you will be justified in your regret. The problem with the igbos is the people driving the agenda. Igbo's are blessed with intellectual giants but they allow touts to push their demands, so they use threats, tribal sentiments and insults to drive their demands. For example, the second Niger bridge is long overdue, in fact we need up to 5 Niger bridges for effective transportation link between the north and south. So the bridge should be presented as being a Nigerian project, crucial to the development of Nigeria, instead the project is being projected as being beneficial to only the igbos. Every Nigerian should be campaigning for the building of the bridge. In Nigeria people support politicians for the wrong reasons, people vote based on tribal, sectional and religious sentiments. That is why the " it is our turn" campaign is more important that campaigns for jobs, water, food, education and other real issues. Politicians get into office not based on what they promised ( or at least lip service promises), but based on zoning formula, so it is illogical to such politician to perform miracles. |
totorimi:If it does not matter to you that it took 16 years for the bridge to get started by PDP, why would it now matter now for you to demand APC (a party you hate so much) complete it in 4 years. If it took a true born son of the SS 5 years to start the bridge, how many years would he have needed to complete it? Flimsy excuse? Did you read the article? Why not point out the flimsy excuse as to why the project was suspended. Have you seen the contract details of the said contract the true son of SS signed? How much had been paid to the contractor? What of the allegations of $700 million paid for the contact? Should the government not investigate the contract before deciding on what steps to take next. If GEJ could stretch his hand of fellowship to the North by building almajiri schools, airports, roads , hospitals and universities I'm the north without minding his base in SS why on earth will Bihari stop an already started project. We are not unaware of his hatred for the SE and SS Igbo we are not unaware of his loop sided appointments to the detriment of the ibos. You guys talk about hatred for Igbos, but it you guys spew hatred the most. You hate Yorubas, you hate Fulanis, you hate Buhari, in fact you even hate fellow Igbos who do not share your opinions. Buhari's appointments appear detrimental to the Igbos because there is no lost love between him and Igbos. Besides, how many Igbos are in APC , 95% of Igbos support PDP. So it makes no political sense to waste time of people who would not like you no matter what you do. What pains us is that some of our brothers still believe in the oneness of this country at the pain of the ibos. You are talking about jubril aminu that was minister more than 30 years ago? What of all the ministers since then? You guys had Dr. Obi Ezekwesli as education minister, why did she not not build the library if it was so important to igboland. Igbos has 7 governors, more than 20 senators, more than 60 house of representative members, numerous ministers and other important political positions, why can these political representatives push and promote the igbo agenda? If the igbo governors or the igbo senators advocate for the second Niger bridge, i am sure the FG would be left with no choice but to listen. I find it strange that it is kanu and some Aba traders and some unknown entities on social media that are pushing the igbo agenda. |
totorimi:Why on earth did Ikedi Ohakim, Sam Egwu, Martin Elechi, Theodore Orji and all the PDP governors of the South East in the last 16 years, remain in the PDP if this special project that is dear to the SE and |
divinehand2003:This is like the chicken and egg question, which comes first - Strong men or strong institutions. It takes strong men to create and run strong institutions. Institutions don't run themselves. |
yaki84:Yes bad policies discourages foreign investments, but corruption drives big investors from western nations like European countries, the US, Canada, Australia and japan. In these countries anyone caught to have committed a crime abroad is prosecuted and punished back home. The Vodafone guys that bribed ibori had to face the law in their own country. Read up on why Richard branson took his virgin airways out of Nigeria. It was solely due to corruption. Investors can work around bad policies , but it is impossible to work around a corrupt system, unless you participate in the corruption. That is why the Chinese, the Lebanese and the Indians thrive in corrupt environments despite bad policies. |
lordnicklaus:Science student indeed. Please change to the arts - especially literature. You will make a good story writer. Which science told you the universe is anything but orderly. Yes, there are pockets of orderliness here and there, but the universe is a very chaotic place. With asteroids, slaming into planets, stars going nova here and there, galaxies colliding ( our milky way galaxy is on a collision course with Andromeda.). Unless you want to tell me that these imperfections were caused by man's sins also. |
yaki84:Luring investors? You do not lure investors, they beg to come. Iran is not begging investors and yet many of them are lined up to invest in Iran after the sanctions has been lifted. China did not need to lure US investors before they closed shop in the US and opened same in China. Once you put in place infrastructure and conducive corruption free business environment, foreign investors will troop in. It was corruption that drove the likes of virgin airlines, Vodafone, Siemens, etc, away. The Nigerian business environments is too cumbersome and difficult for genuine foreign investor. |
ibedun:Which investors are fleeing from Nigeria ? Which investors came to Nigeria in the first place? The only investors that comes to corruption infested country like Nigeria are the Chinese, the Indians, the Lebanese and lately, the south Africans, the western investors only engage in portfolio investment. Portfolio investors are like predators, they prey on weak economies. They do not create jobs or add value to the economy. The same west that imposed SAP on us, which we are yet to recover from are still the same people telling us how to run our economy. |
seunny4lif:If Nigeria should break up because we are not 1, then into how many pieces should be break ? The SS are not one, the north are not one, even the south east are not one as there are many subtribes, clans and kindred in the south east, who will rule? with all the struggle for power as they presently do with governorship elections. |
S247:Abeg which instruction did God give them before hand? Did God warn about the devil? Did God warn Adam and Eve the devil is also a co tenant (neighbour ) in the garden of Eden? |
Vanity. And how does where the president comes from help put food on the table, provide job for our army of jobless youths, and provide quality education for our children. No wonder black Africa will remain backwards for the next 200 years. Our priorities are obviously misplaced. Imagine the main campaign issues in the US elections being the race, region, age or even sex of the next president. |
Fadman4real:Like plaetton said, it is a tradegy to our educational system to have lecturers like you teaching students that earthquakes, hurricanes, solar flares, novas and colliding galaxies are caused by man allowing sin into the world. According to your mythology, it was not man that allowed sin (Satan) into the world but your God. Your God is said to have banished Satan to earth (of all planets in the universe ), knowing how dangerous he is. |
christinie:Did you attend Jonathan's almajiri school? First you wrote INCOMPTENCY , then you wrote lack of INCOMPTENCY . Someone that lack incompetence is highly competent. |
ElCount:Common sense alone tells you evolution is false? So what does common sense tell you? That the whole expanse of the universe was created by a white bearded Jewish man, using Jewish words, pronouncing all living things into being, but deciding to create man from clay? Common sense indeed, maybe common sense of second millennium BC mesopotamia. Who says evolution and extinction means the same thing? Since it is accepted that over 95% of all animals that have ever existed on the planet are extinct, how then do you expect to draw the evolutionary tree of life from the beginning without extinct animals dominating? Now look at this 95% of animal fossils are aquatic invertebrates and even the vertebrates discovered were mainly fishes and aquatic creatures, of the terrestrial life forms a whooping 98%(approx) are plants so what you are telling me is that as complex and numerous as the animal life forms that exist today are they evolved from a meager 2%(approx). This hilarious! I don't know about you but I think there is more dignity in being created by a supreme being who is perfect and Almighty than having to think I evolved from some amoeba. Its all common senseThis your statement above actually verifies evolution. First 95% of fossils are aquatic animals because fossilization process favours aquatic or marine creatures. For animals to be fossilized, it has to be covered up with mud or clay immediately after death, else the soft tissues of the animal would quickly decompose, eaten by other predators or simply disintegrate. Land creatures stand very little chance of being fossilized. Secondly and most importantly, marine creatures were on earth for billions of years before ever venturing onto land. According to modern evolutionary theory life started on earth in the primordial oceans or lakes some 4 billion years ago, but life only ventured on land about 500 million years ago, so it is logical to expect far more marine fossils than terrestrial fossils. You arguments is now about dignity? Now what is dignifying about being created solely to be an amusement object of a Jewish God (in shape of a white bearded Jewish man), sitting on a throne high up rewarding or punishing according to this whims and caprices. Is it not more dignifying to see yourself as part and parcel of an evolving universe? |
Akanni, who expressed his gratitude to the governor, said: “I can authoritatively say that the governor is a great leader and great mentor. He remains a very honest man who also stands by his followers. I was so sure that he will fight my cause while in detention and I was not disappointed. And this is a member of a state assembly that is supposed to check the executive. The state assemblies in Nigeria is a farce and just a waste of public money. |
ElCount:What do you mean after eons? Homo Sapiens have just recently arrived on the evolutionary tree some 200,000 years ago. 200,000 years is too short a time to evolve into a completely new specie. Why would a human need a tail? We do not live in trees or need it for stability while running. In fact a tail would be detrimental to our survival. |
asalimpo:Arguing with you is like arguing with a tape recorder on automatic playback. He just repeats the same thing over and over again without listening to the arguments. I ask you to define this your nebulous intelligence which you hypothised that only humans possess, you are talking of calculus and language. I provided examples of highly intelligent animals but you completely ignored them because they do not fit your definition of intelligence, so i asked again, how do you define intelligence? If we are to measure various aspect of this intelligence, you will find humans would not be the best in any of them. For example; - Elephants have far memory ability than humans. Bats have far higher audio and vocal range than humans. See below for range of frequencies perceived by various animals; Human............................8 to 20,000 Hz- Bloodhounds have far higher olfactory range than human - Owls have far higher visual range than humans. - Dolphins have highly developed cognitive abilities. As i have said, the edge we humans have is the possession of opposed thumbs on our fingers, without it we cannot materialize our thoughts. It is what gives us the ability to make and use tools. It is these tools that propel us to be the very top of the food chain and gives us dominance on earth. It is with these tools that we can extend our perception beyond what any other animal can perceive, it is with these tools we can extend our vision beyond this planet, and it is with these tools we can destroy the world. No matter what a highly intelligent dolphin conceives in its mind, it cannot materialize it because it does not possess fingers with opposing thumb. |
asalimpo:You post betrays so much ignorance that i am perplexed. I do not even know where to begin to educate you. Your 97% figure is so absurd it borders on fairly tale like fantasy. What is your measurement of intelligence based on? Is it cognitive ability? It it memory? Is it social organization? Is it communication? In all these man would not win first price in all these abilities. Yes man possesses the highest brain size to mass ratio in the history of the planet and thus has higher general intelligence, but that does not mean other animals do not have some superior "intelligence" capacity to us? For example elephants are known to have far better memory capacity than humans, bees are able to build highly complex and efficient structures to store their honey, even octopuses are highly intelligent, they have some advanced spatial learning capacity, navigational abilities and use creative predatory techniques. They are even reputed to be able to predict outcomes of football matches .The great edge Homo Sapiens has is the evolution of the opposing thumb. This allows us to turn our ideas into reality by allowing us to make and use tools. Without the opposing thumb, we would not be better off than a dolphin or an gorilla. We would be confined to gathering of fruits and leaves. Other animals cannot come up with calculus because it is useless to them, they do not have the ability to use the equation to make tools. The cannot understand how to put vehicles on the moon because they lack the ability to make vehicles at all. You cannot train primate to speak my language because the structure of their larynx is different from ours and so cannot produce the wide range of sounds we produce. It is not necessarily due to lack of intelligence. Read this reports; - http://news.wisc.edu/apes-may-be-closer-to-speaking-than-many-scientists-think/ - http://news.discovery.com/animals/whales-dolphins/dolphins-smarter-brain-function.htm |
lilliesboy:You are not qualified to find inconsistencies in Charles Darwin's theory, you lack the technical depth. What is the racist trend in Darwin's theories? Are you sure you have read the Origin of species by Charles Darwin? Charles Darwin ( or anybody else) cannot explain how organisms or life originated. He is a scientist, so he can only make inferences from study, observation and data. He had only data to explain differentiation and spaciation of living things (plant and animals) |
asalimpo:I stopped science vs God arguments long ago. Both of them are incompatible and cannot achieve a common ground. If you want to discuss your faith, please do,but do not delve into the sciences of which you have little idea. Great minds like Newton and Einstein were simply agents of the evolution of Knowledge or should i say intelligence. Like Newton said in his famous quote "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants", he acknowledged that he simply improved on existing works of others - evolution. The fact that the micro world is ruled by randomness is not subject to argument, it is a universally accepted fact. Your cup of water analogy is very faulty. Are you implying that only man received all the droplets of intelligence thrown up by evolution? Are you implying that only man has intelligence and all other animals operated by only instinct? I am sure you realize how ridiculous it sound. Man (probably being in the best position to the cup of intelligence) got showered the most, but all other animals also got some droplets of this rain of intelligence. |
Enangson:The key worde here are "committed" a foul and "picks" up a straight red card. Now how many of those APC members you have mentioned had "committed" a foul and "picked" up a red card in the last 16 years? If a politician has been found guilty of a crime, changing political parties would not make him eligible to contest for elections. |
Junior66:If Pep Guardiola suddenly becomes coach of sunderland, it is possible Guardiola comes with Messis, Ronaldos, Xavis, Iniestas and the rest, will that mean all previous successes (and failures) of Barcelona under Guardiola will be awarded to sunderland? |
2point5:It is you guys that are saying that we should forget they were ever in PDP by saying that APC (a party that is barely 2 years old) destroyed Nigeria for 16 years. It is like saying claudio ranieri is a failure at leicester city because he failed at chelsea more than a decade ago. |
lomprico:Please explain how Atiku, Amaechi, Saraki equals to APC? And i will explain how Pep Guardiola equals Barcelona. |
OP's assertions are ridiculous. If Pep Gardiola moves over to mancity and comes with some Bayern Munich players, then Bayern's achievements becomes mancity's and the champion league trophy that was won by Bayern a few seasons ago be handed over to mancity. |
asalimpo:That is what most theists and even some scientists fail to understand. Random chance determines and predetermines everything in the universe. Even Einstein got it wrong when he dismissed quantum mechanism with the famous quote "God does not play dice with the universe". Your being formed from a single sperm cell out of tens of millions was pure chance, you being a child of your parents is pure chance, the genes you inherited from your parents is by pure chance, the mutations ( mistakes) in your genes is pure chance, even the positions of electrons in a atom is pure chance. When there are one in a millionmillion chances (probabilities) of something happening, given enough time, that one in a million chance actually happens. |
TippyTop:Are you oblivious of the fact that the money looted by the previous administration is directly responsible for our present state of the economy and petrol shortages? |
