analice107: They don't have a problem agreeing they were Pharoahs, but they have a problem believing they was Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon. They don't have a problem even believing there was a Pontius Pilate, but they can't believe there was Jesus Christ. I asked one a question once, he could not answer me. If they say the Bible is a myth and everything inside is fables, they should answer the following. Is they any place called Egypt today Yes or No? The Bible talked about often.
What about Syria, what about Lebanon? Palestine? Persia the today's Iran? Mesopotamia, today's Kuwait. BABYLON today's Iraq Is there any where called Mesedonia? Is there anywhere call Ethiopia? Is there a river Nile in Egypt today? Is there a red sea? Is there a Tigress River anywhere in the world? is there River Euphrates? Was there ever a historian king of Persia by the name of Cyrus? I have seen an epic film "The Rise of the 300" where he was mentioned. The Bible talked about him too. Was there a Roman Empire. Did Rome ever occupy Judea? Was there a time a Roman Emperor by name Augustus Ceasar demanded that his empire be numbered? That was when Christ was born. When was Jerusalem founded? Is the today's. Jerusalem the same with the Jerusalem which Solomon rule in? If these nations and people existed then shame on satan who is using his agents to fight a battle they know they have lost. when they lie down on their beds they know the truth. There's none of them here who doesn't know the truth, they are just victims held tight by Satan's robes. Stan can never tell the truth will I expect his agents to do that? Of course not. I do not have problem believing there are pharoah because there are abundant evidence of their reigns, there are precise historical biographies of their lives, there are existing structures built by them and most importantly, their physical bodies (mummies ) are in existence as we speak. Where is the physical archeological or historical evidence Moses, Abraham Joseph, Solomon and even David existed. These characters exist only in the Jewish book of fables and myths. If these characters existed, they would have been nothing more than tribal or clan leaders. Concerning Moses, there is no record of him anywhere in the Egyptian records, and there is no record of Egypt ever being governed by a Jewish prime minister. There is no evidence that the Egyptian army drowned in the red sea. The fact that the bible stories mentions Egypt, Rome, Syria, Ethiopia and other places does not confirm the fables as truth, just like the mention of Greece, crete, Cyprus, etc does not confirm Homer's odyssey or the mention of umuahia and other igbo towns confirm Chinua Achebes things fall apart as true. Fables and stories must be set in the places familiar to the author. So watching 300 made you believe Cyrus existed? So you believe all the outlandish stories and creatures in the firm actually happened? I am short of words. You must believe all the creatures in clash of the titans also existed. |

The only evidence points towards articles from Greco-Roman Scholars. In fact most of what you believe in today concerning history has concrete no evidence.
So historians rely on texts and Archeological findings.
Just like we see here:

The full biography of Gaius Julius Caesar is available. - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_CaesarThe same could not be said of your mythical Solomon. Where did your Solomon get the wealth to make him the richest in the world? Did he rule a huge empire like Caesar or Alexander the great? Was his small desert canaanite village rich in gold, silver and other mineral resources? was the land rich in agriculture? What was the population of the whole of Canaan during Solomon's time? I am sure it was not more than a few tens of thousands? What did the population feed on in the desert? how did Solomon make money? |

Peritus: Bible does not condemn taking of alcohol, but condemns and forbids drunkenness. To your question, yes, it can lead one to hell. If you walk in the spirit, you will discover that alcoholism fights against the spirit because it makes the mind volatile and weakens the body, thereby making it susceptible to sin. You have to avoid, not only sins but circumstances that lead to it. Proverb 14:12 says that there are ways that seem right but the end is destruction. 1Cor 10:23 says, all thing are lawful for me but not all things are expedient: all things are lawful for me but all things edify not. The question is: are you at you best behaviour and well positioned to worship God truly in spirit when you take alcohol? The sole reason one can take one bottle, then add another and another is simply to get high. That getting high is where the problem lies. Don't get me wrong, you have not committed any sin just by tasting/taking alcohol. I stopped drinking beer, not because of sin, but because my spirit repulsed it while my body yearned for it. If your spirit repulse alcohol, then how do you explain 1 Timothy 5:23, which states; "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities." |

I am sorry to say but you guys talk like illiterates, NOI had the political will to save but could not put political structures in place to ensure savings are guaranteed. So you expect NOI to just inform the governors that she wants to save their part of the revenue and she can now start deducting any amount she likes from the federation accounts and she can can spend the money unilaterally and inform the governors later if the ask questions. If you say Jonathan had the political will to save, did the government attempt to change the laws to ensure savings? Did Jonathan proposed a system of savings acceptable to all stakeholders of the federation accounts? Did Jonathan send an amendment to the constitution to enshrine savings. Did Jonathan lobby the governors, the national assembly and his party on the need to save? read this from Soludo; I hereby challenge your attempt to blame others for not saving for the rainy day. It is not a virtue when you are quick to appropriate all the credit when things are going well, but shift the blame when they go wrong. You blame the state governors— who, according to you, have taken the Federal Government to the Supreme Court—not that a Supreme Court judgment forced your hands. For your information, the governors have never agreed to savings and always threatened court action even under Obasanjo. Why did we save under Obasanjo but not under Jonathan? Two keywords explain it: leadership and integrity. Governor Amaechi said the governors insisted on sharing the funds because they found out that you were illegally fiddling with the savings. So, as Nigerians still wonder, if billions of dollars are now ‘missing’ under your nose, why should governors trust you to keep their money? Do the states that have taken the federal government to the Supreme Court and refused to save also include the PDP governors—who are in the majority? If so, then it is fatal: even governors of your own party, PDP, do not trust you to keep their money! Furthermore, did the governors also stop the Federal Government from saving part of its share? If you ran a surplus budget at the Federal level, you would have had credibility to blame others or to say they did not listen to your advice. The key point is that since you were running huge deficits yourself, it was also in your own interest to share the ECA. You did not show leadership or credibility, full stop! If you see one, please point it out to me. This is NOI's original statement ; Okonjo-Iweala added that Nigeria was able to save $22 billion under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which saved the country in 2008, when there was global economic meltdown.
Speaking on the Chilean saving example, Okonjo-Iweala said: “We tried it in Nigeria, we put in an oil price based fiscal rule in 2004 and it worked very well.
“We saved $22 billion because the political will to do it was there. And when the 2008 /2009 crisis came, we were able to draw on those savings precisely to issue about a 5 percent of GDP fiscal stimulus to the economy and we never had to come to the bank or the fund.
“This time around and this is the key now, you need not only need to have the instrument but you also need the political will. In my second time as a finance minister, from 2011 to 2015, we had the instrument, [size=14pt] we had the means, we had done it before, but zero political will. The FG's share of federal revenue has been provided for in the Appropriation act as a source of finance for the budget, the executive dare not use a dime of that money for another purpose other than what is stated in the appropriation act cos that in itself is an impeachable offence, the best bet was to sorce for savings from the ECA as it is monies yet to be shared and so hasnt made its way into the FG purse.

Did Jonathan make any proposal to the national assembly to save its share of the revenue? Jonathan even presented deficit budgets, meaning he borrowed more than he earned to finance his budget. So how can he even save when he was borrowing and also dipping his hands into the excess crude accounts? You must be joking when you said Jonathan dare not money for another purpose other than what is stated in the appropriation act. Where did Jonathan get money to pay close to N3 trillion for fuel subsidy when only N600 billion was appropriated, where did Jonathan get money to organize his national conference jamboree without appropriation or legal backing? Is the OP telling us that the Igbo's would be perpetual importers of finished goods from other countries . Even if the igbos are consigned to trading other people's goods, how do you distribute the goods to other parts of Nigeria? The main cause of our socio economic problem is lack of production and trading opportunities between the various regions in Nigeria due to lack of railways and very poor road networks. Farmers in the north are unable to get their produce to markets in the south where they are needed. Most farm produce produced in the north get spoilt, while people in the south pay exorbitant prices for the few that get to the markets through bad roads. The reverse is the case for manufactured goods produced or imported from the south, the become very expensive by the time they get to the north. When the British came to Nigeria , the first thing they build was a rail network connecting all agricultural and rescource centres to port Harcourt. Before the US embarked on industrialization, the whole country was involved in building the railway system. But here, some people are against building an effective railway system for the whole country. |

Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, had agreed to call off their strike action over unpaid subsidy claims and commence lifting of petroleum products nationwide.

I am highly disappointed at Dele Momodu. i used to have some respect for him but his view on this Saraki's case is not acceptable in any sane society.
So what exactly is Dele Momodu saying? Is he saying that Saraki should not face trial even if there is overwhelming evidence he committed a crime because he worked for Buhari and APC's victory? In that case every person that worked for APC's victory should be allowed to get away with murder.
Is he saying that unless all governors that is suspected to have committed one crime or the other since 1999 should be prosecuted before Saraki can be put on trial. In that case all criminals in Nigeria prisons should be set free until every Nigeria that is suspected of any crime has been prosecuted.
The most despicable thing is that Dele Momodu Is not even pleading the innocence of Saraki, he is saying he should not even be put on trial because he suspects APC is witch hunting him. A so called journalist like him should used his medium to advocate that past governors he has evidence of corruption against should face trial instead of advocating for the release of the few that is being "witch hunted". A criminal is a criminal and removing one from society is a great service to that society. Is Dele Momodu aware of the millions of families affected by the suspected crimes of Saraki and his likes?
Dele Momodu has secured himself and his family from the general insecurity in Nigeria. His base is in Ghana and the UK, so feels unconcerned about the common Nigeria who suffer the effects of the natural disasters called the Nigerian politician. |

The House of Representatives had on March 27, mandated the accounts committee to commence an investigative hearing into the scam, but the probe was shelved because the Minister of Petroleum Resources had gone to court on that same date.
“At our meeting on Thursday we have collated evidence from Excujet Hanger and Vistajet, two private companies connected to the jet charter deal. Nigerians in their numbers have submitted credible documents, it is also noteworthy that we have been receiving memos from whistle blowers, who have indicated interest to appear before the committee to testify”.
"We don't want to stampede invitees. We are not after anybody”.
"If you are invited and you refuse, under the law we will subpoena you, Why is she afraid of probe?
Following the pronouncement of an Abuja Federal High Court presided over by Justice Ahmed Mohammed that he did not grant any order restraining the House from probing the alleged jets charter by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, the House is now able to commence with the probe.
However, the minister have filed fresh suit against the national assembly in a bid to stop the House of Representatives from probing her alleged spending of N10 billion on charted private jets. http://www.persecondnews.com/index.php/politics/item/1158-house-will-not-water-down-n10billion-jet-scam-reps |

Scholes007: if someone is to read all this you wrote here then they will think this airline is running a charity orgnisation. I keep asking you does that agreement include maintainance of the jet? Knowing fully well this was the problem you lots accused mmadueke of. As for CBN they must pay for chartering their service Which agreement? Do you have comprehension problems? Kachikwu said the companies in the joint venture partnership has agreement with vistajets to use their services and you are talking about maintenance. Do you maintain taxi services you hire either solely or in conjunction with others. Obviously, the cost of leasing the aircraft and other running costs are taken care of in the joint partnership arrangement. |

Scholes007: Then it ends up meaning that your so called reckless by mmadueke is also been exhibited by kachikwu and emefiele but now in double fold. Are you still suffering from last night's hangover ? What you wrote is senseless. What was the so called recklessness Madueke was accused of by the senate? And who is accusing kachikwu said of recklessness? |

rusher14: Are they investigators or the judiciary?
Those charlatans should be investigated and I'm sure a money trail would be found.
Yes o. They are CIA, MI5, KGB and MOSSAD all rolled into one. Besides, the synagogue trial is far more important to NUPENG and NLC than other non important trivial issues like power and petrol scarcity. |

Scholes007: since it is free in kachikwu's time it is also free for mmadueke or do you want to tell me the agreement was changed because of kachikwu? Are you the PA for Madueke? Why did you not show up at the Senate to defend her when she was accused of spending N10 billion to charter this same airline services? Why did your Oga run away from the Senate investigations when she could have simply told them that the services were free. |

Caseless: If this story is confirmed, then , I can say that's not good for the image of this administration. You don't condemn those under Gej only to turn around to emulate the same thing u once condemn.
Maybe BUHARI is the only one among many(former pdp members in apc). Emefiele is a relic of the last administration so expect him to behave like them. He led kachikwu on to be part of this show of recklessness. And how much was confirmed paid for the carter by Kachukwu. The same services Madueke said she paid N10 billion for, kachukwu said he paid nothing. So what is the issue here. Why are you people so in love with corruption. |

Borrow money from where? Excess crude account? The account that madam world bank is accusing Amaechi of not allowing her to save from? So how much is exactly in the ECA ? And does Wike have the power to withdraw from the ECA without the consent of the FG, the local governments and the governors of the other states? |

He said, “Since he (Kachikwu) became GMD, he has not spent any money on private jet. The NNPC jet has problems and I believe that it’s been moved to the villa. The VistaJet that we are using is owned by the companies with whom NNPC has joint venture agreements. And you know that the NNPC has about 60 per cent in its JVs.
“So since we have 60 per cent of the JVs, anything that has to do with the JV operations, including jets and so on, we are entitled to use it. Therefore, it does not cost NNPC a single kobo to use VistaJet that you mentioned.”
When asked to further explain the 60 per cent joint ventures which the NNPC has with other oil majors, Deen said, “We have JV agreements with oil majors and international oil companies, and I am going to be specific about only VistaJet. The companies with whom we have JV agreements are the ones paying VistaJet for we are entitled to use that facility because we contribute 60 per cent of the joint venture funding.
“VistaJet is part of the services that the joint venture operations entail. So NNPC does not pay, the Nigerian government does not pay N1 for the use of those VistaJet’s planes. It is part of the entitlement that we get as partners in the JV agreements.”
Deen stated that the entitlement of the NNPC had been available all the while but nobody exploited it until the present minister came on board.
“So in other words, the practice is saving Nigeria a lot of money by way of probably maintaining private jets or buying jets or even chartering planes in order to travel abroad.” Why are wailers not concerned that Diezani Madueke paid N10 billion for services she should be getting for free. |

Wailers must wail. This particular wailing is senseless. He said, “Since he (Kachikwu) became GMD, he has not spent any money on private jet. aresa: They actually think we have amnesia or have zero clue how we get to bad economy abd what we are going through today.
They obviously were aware the damage they did hence letting us know that suffering is heading our way.. I am sure she did not see the election loss coming, so she was preparing the minds of Nigerians for the economic disaster ahead. If Jonathan had won, they would have simply devalued the naira, raise import duties, increase vat to 10%, and deregulate petroleum prices. If Nigerians react, iweala would simple blame crude prices and say I warned you. |

But madam world bank told us a different story in January 2015. She told us to prepare for austerity and that 2015 would be s very difficult year. More austerity measures coming – Okonjo-Iweala Following the continuous decline of the price of crude oil in the international market, the Federal Government on Thursday said it was preparing additional measures to mitigate the impact of the price drop on the Nigerian economy. She had during a public presentation of the 2015 budget proposal listed the stoppage of the purchase of new furniture, and reduction in international travels and trainings by government officials by 50 per cent as some of the austerity measures to be taken this year to boost revenue.
Others are the implementation of the Stephen Orasanye committee’s report on the rationalisation of the civil service; and introduction of 10 per cent tax on private jets, three per cent surcharge on champagnes and one per cent property tax on mansions with value exceeding N300m.
Between December 17, 2014 when the budget proposal was submitted, with oil benchmark price pegged at $65 per barrel, and now, global oil prices have further crashed to around $46 per barrel.
The development has further heightened tension in the country because of the Federal Government’s almost total dependence on crude oil exports for its revenue
Specifically, Okonjo-Iweala told the children that 2015 would be a very difficult year for the economy, noting, however, that with appropriate fiscal and monetary policy instruments, the government would manage the economy in a manner that would be beneficial to all. http://businessnews.com.ng/2015/01/17/austerity-measures-coming-okonjo-iweala/ |
