You people are taking this Barcanista too serious (just like cramjones). I stopped taking him serious when he started avocating for war with the Itsekiris instead of allowing the juduciary to settle the matter. He actually said even if the supreme court or world court declare judgement, he would not abide by it. This is someone the feels election matters should be settled at the courts. Although i have been an avid Buhari supporter since 1984, i never really felt the need to fecilitate with Barcanista ( or any other person)in his so called support of Buhari. That the complete 180 degree turn is because of disagreement and maybe insults from a few APC supporters (not members) on a faceless form is beyond belief. It is liked someone changing from real madrid to Barca because of some disagreements with some real madrid fans on a faceless forum, or changing from believing in Jesus Christ to Mohammed because of insults from a few christians on a faceless forum. I suspect two things; Either it was planned from the begining as a sort of political gimmick or the other side is offering better incencives. I for one have never like APC ( i hate PDP ever more), both parties are different sides of the same coin. I am a socialist (leftist) and both parties are hard core capitalist (rightist), no idealogical diferrence between PDP and APC ( that is why politicians can move seamlessly between the two parties). I do not like Bola Tinubu or even the over hyped Fashola, But i stongly believe in Buhari. He is sincere, upright and non materialistic. If anybody can make a change in Nigeria, that person is Buhari. One man can indeed make a change. chairman Mao made the change in China, Mandela made the change in south Africa, Charles De Gaulle made a change in France, Ben Gurion made the change in Israel, Buhari can make the change in Nigeria. |
Oga Madam said a lot but without actually saying anything. So here are the questions that need answers. How much was the actual sum she used in leasing jets fot her use? How much was the NNPC jet sold for? and where is the money? If her administration is the most transparent since its inception, where is the corporation's audited annual report as demanded by law? Where is the missing(unaccounted for) $1.48 billion as revealed by PWC report. In fact where is the report itself? Why has it been kept under wraps since it was submitted to the president? |
Oga jona has to personally apologize to Baba for calling him a motor park tout. Although Baba had been angry at being sidelined by Oga Jona since he won the 2011 elections with Baba's help and influence (he got no ministerial slots, when people like TY Danjuma got 2 slots and his loyalists in PDP were removed from party postions and his enermies were installed), but what broke the carmels back and got Baba raving mad was being called a motor park tout by Jona. |
pazienza:You people are pathetic. You yap nonsense just to sooth your overboated ego. East dominates the military - it was based on merit but North dominates the military after civil war - they shout quota system. Meanwhile Buhari joined the army before the civil war. Have any of you asked the military what the minimum requirements for joining the army was in 1961? i am certain it did not include a credit in mathematics. Have he military comfirmed that Buhari and other officers did not meet the minimum qualifications for joining the army in 1961? Where did you people get the stupid idea that Buhari was admitted into the army with only a recommendation letter from his school principal? The recommendation letter was a testimonial that was mandatory for all intending secondary students applying for admission into any tertiary institution. The actual results was to be submitted after gaining admission as the results used to come very late. This was the practice until about a decade ago when results are released one month after sitting for WAEC exams. Another issue was that there are two types of admissions into the military. Those admitted into the regular course and those admitted into the short service course. Ojukwu underwent the short service course as he was already a graduate, while Buhari and other went through the regular course which is for school cert. students. |
doctokwus:And some fools will call a Governor the chief security officer of a state. Obviously Mr. MBU is telling us that he alone is the chief security officer of a zone comprising about 5 states. |
KEVIND:Illiteracy of the highest order. What constitutional right does the army have on the streets of Lagos when there is no war going on in Lagos or any part of the south west? Most people living in civilized societies have never seen a soldier in uniform walking the streets not to talk of deploying a platoon patrolling the streets. The army has no Job patrolling the streets in peace time, they should be confined to their baracks. The Job of patrolling the streets lies with the police and civil defense or at worst the national Guard. |
The title of this thread is highly misleading and false. It seems the OP has no ideas what "silver spoons" means. Silver spoon kids means being born into wealth,it does not mean childen whose parents acquire wealth after after fighting poverty. Imagine someone saying Ibori's children being born with silver spoon. |
hunter21:You people are attemping to teach the English english language, all because the president has comprehension issues. When Justice Mustapha said 90% of cases in Nigerian courts borders on "mere stealing" and not corruption, she is definitely refering to the thousands of theft cases in court that has nothing to do with corruption. Crimes such as car theft, burglary, armed robbery, phone theft, cash theft and other theft (stealing) case make up to more than 90% of cases pending at the courts. She definitely did not mean to imply that stealing of public funds by public officials like alams, Ibori, Cicilia Ibru is not corruption. The main difference between corruption and "mere stealing" is that corruption (in termsof stealing) is systemic while stealing is not. A public official cannot just go into the agencies safe or bank account and steal public funds, it has to be a systemic stealing involving many people. In a wider context, corruption is a systemic disruption or a breakdown of a natural or normal process. Where did you people get the notion that corruption is a state of mind? Corruption is real. The goat and yam example is lame, childish and unintelligent. A goat can be trained to be put with yam and not eat it. In fact goats can be trained not to eat yam at all. Lions have been trained to live with goats without eating them. Are you and Jonathan saying that humans should never handle money because of the temptation of stealing it? what of bankers, are you saying bankers should never be close to clients money? I honestly cannot unterstand a world where money would not be handled by others on trust. |
SeverusSnape:How can Nigeria move forward when the west and most of the civilized world is against the government and when more than half the Nigerian population is against the government. We are gradually sliding back into the Abacha era where Nigeria was a pariah nation |
ShineuEye:Why should government (any government) use tax payers money to sponsor pilgrimages ( a personal spiritual exercise)? Jonathan should also consider sponsoring me to a pilgrimage ( relaxing holiday) to Bali. |
DDeliverer:There is no certificate search. It is only a wild goose chase by you guys. I am no lawyer, but common sense should reveal that the keyword here is LEVEL. What is school cert. level? Someone that attended secondary school and got up to class 6 can be said to have got to school cert. level, whether they sat for the exams or not. Like wise a person that just went to sit for GCE external exams without having attended a secondary school cannot be said to have got to school certificate level. Having said that, Buhari certainly sat for the 1961 Cambridge WASC exams, his alma mater comfirm so, his class mates affirm so, there are class photos to comfirm so. He even got a statement of result from his school. So this useless case is a non starter. The Katsina Government college just need to bring a copy of their 1961 student register and the case is dead and buried. Believe me i doubt if you, your parents and grand parents are as educated as Buhari. |
20 million displaced christians in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno Are they also saying that no Muslims were displaced by the Boko Haram insulgency? Oritsejafor's CAN is the religious arm of TAN |
So who would you reply then? Obi Ezekwesili challenged you to a debate about the poor state of the Nigerian economy, you won't reply her. Sanusi challenged to a debate on the massive stealing of oil receipts under your watch, you won't reply him. Now prof. Soludo is challenging you to a debate on missing/unaccounted for/missappropriated N30 trillion and the poor state of the Nigerian economy, you won't reply him also. And someone will tell us that it is Buhari that is scared of debates. |
DDeliverer:There is no certificate wahala. The so called wahala is just a ruse created by TAN/PDP to confuse and decieve young Nigerians into doubting the credibility of the retired general. The law do not specify that certificates must be submitted (just like Namadi Sambo did not submit any certificate), it only specify that a presidential candidiate must be educated up till school certificate level, or its equivalent. Buhari only need to prove he had been educated up to school certificate level. Even at that being educated up to primary school level with 10 years working experience is adequate. Just like presidential candidiates are not mandated to submit certficates, they are not mandated to submit their passports to prove they are Nigerians or submit their birth certificates to show they are above 40 years of age. |
CHM11:Do TAN/PDP people understand the implications of what they wrote above? A bribe giver and a bribe taker are all culpable in law. |
This was what i said from the very begining, that GEJ could not afford to lose Amaechi. Even within the PDP, he was the most influenntial governor. If Amaechi had not defected, i am certain that non of the other governors would have defected. The creation of a faction of the PDP would never have happened. Without Amaechi and the Influence( and cash) the defected PDP governors brought into APC, APC would not have even been considered an opposition to PDP. |
johnmartus:Abeg whish one be bank load fraud again? Is it a bank fraud case or a bad load case? If it is a case of bank loan gone bad, then many more people would need to be declared wanted. People like Ifeanyi Uba, Peter Ololo, Femi Otedola and all the people that crashed intercontinental bank (and other banks rescued by Sanusi) should be declared wanted. |
Then the council of state should consider taking over the role of INEC and organize the elections |
RayCharles:Forget it, we do not have the technical, managerial and logistical (not to talk of financial) capacity to undertake and subsequently maintain such a massive projeect. All our mega projects have failed ie Ajaokuta, the 4 refineries, even kainji is badly maintained. |
Shebi, some people support Jona because he is from the SS, he is from minority tribe, he is christian or simply because they hate the gambaris, well i have news for you, being from the SS, a minority tribe or a christian will not give you jobs, put food on your table or educate your children. We will all swim or sink together. You do not need a sooth sayer to tell you Nigerian economy is in deep shite, lots of companies are packing their bags and leaving, others are selling their assets. The PZ factory in Ikorodu was recently sold off to some indians. It is only those Nigerians that have jet planes as jona likes to boast that would be immuned from the economics crisis (but they would not the immuned from the attendant security crisis). One begins to wonder why OBJ sacked (or is it demote Okonjo Iweala to the interior ministry). To me she mismanaged the economy as minister of the economy. |
I hereby challenge your attempt to blame others for not saving for the rainy day. It is not a virtue when you are quick to appropriate all the credit when things are going well, but shift the blame when they go wrong. You blame the state governors— who, according to you, have taken the Federal Government to the Supreme Court—not that a Supreme Court judgment forced your hands. For your information, the governors have never agreed to savings and always threatened court action even under Obasanjo. Why did we save under Obasanjo but not under Jonathan? Two keywords explain it: leadership and integrity. Governor Amaechi said the governors insisted on sharing the funds because they found out that you were illegally fiddling with the savings. So, as Nigerians still wonder, if billions of dollars are now ‘missing’ under your nose, why should governors trust you to keep their money? Do the states that have taken the federal government to the Supreme Court and refused to save also include the PDP governors—who are in the majority? If so, then it is fatal: even governors of your own party, PDP, do not trust you to keep their money! Furthermore, did the governors also stop the Federal Government from saving part of its share? If you ran a surplus budget at the Federal level, you would have had credibility to blame others or to say they did not listen to your advice. The key point is that since you were running huge deficits yourself, it was also in your own interest to share the ECA. You did not show leadership or credibility, full stop! - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/ngozi-okonjo-iweala-missing-trillions-1-charles-soludo/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter#sthash.d3mC7iHd.dpufTouche!!!! |
raumdeuter:Merilyn Ogar is a joke, so cows can be given military trainings. The cow would be then be kitted with guns, bombs and granades (with military uniforms) and then transported to the war front. Please Nairaland cartoonists provide us with a graphic illustration of "Rambo" cows. Fools. Just one bomb would send the cows running in all directions or just a couple of fully automatic machine gun firing 500 rounds per minute would clear all the cows in less than 10 minutes. |
No previous PDP presidential candidiate has ever attended a presidential debate before wining the election, so why is PDP and Okupe crying at Buhari's refusal to attend their stage managed PDP/AIT/NTA/FRCN debate. Why are they now acting as if they believe in debates to win elections? |
Lets call a truce; Jonathan can have his debate with AIT/NTA/FRCN with Pastor Oritsejafor saying the opening prayers and Bishop Oyedepo saying the closing prayers, while Buhari have have his debate with TVC/Premiumtimes/ Saharareporters with Rev. Mbaka saying the opening prayers and pastor Adeboye giving the closing prayers. It would be difficult for Buhari to face reporters from AIT after the lies and character assasination propaganda they aired last week. |
Jonathan should first attend a debate organized by Sahara Reporters, TVC and premiumtimes first , then Buhari would attend the one organized by NTA, AIT and FRCN. |
silvernus0:Which state government issued WAEC certificate? All schools are empowered to issue statement of results if needed a former student. I used a statement of result from my school to gain admission into Obafemi Awolowo University. I only went to collect my certificate years later. You people need to stop acting stupid and dumb. |
Here2BustnScrew:At least he build an airport at the cost of N27.7 Billion. |
Here2BustnScrew:Itsekiris are very pragmatic not selfish. What did the Itsekiris gain by an Itsekiri man ruling delta for many years? The Itsekiris gain far more under Ibori, an Urhobo man. So the Itsekiris (just one organization) are supporting APC because an Okowa man got the ticket of PDP? I was not aware that APC presented an Itsekiri man as governorship candidiate. What did the Itsekiris gain from President Jonathan during his nearly 6 years reign. Please name how many federal projects in Itsekiri land or how many federal appointments the Itsekiri's got. |
neenar:Ene oton Iwere dede je! |
pekeyim:Correction, 1966 counter coup . The 1966 coup was carried out by Kaduna Nzeogwu, aguiyi Ironsi and their fellow Igbo compratriots. |
GBTYO:You are a bloody liar. When did you go to the federal high court, and when did the federal high court direct anybody to the military board? The Federal high court had been on strike till last week and a case was only filed a few days ago. If you alleged that Federal Government School Katsina issued a fraud, why not take the matter with them and sue them for fraud. As far as legality is concerned, the legal statement of result applicable for now was the one issued by the Government College Katsina, until a court of law render it a fraud. In the meantime, where is president Jonathan's birth certificate as it is not with INEC. What is the proof he is above 40 years. Sworn affidavid would not be accepted in place of actual certificate. What about Sambo's certificates, how are we certain the letters from ABU are not fraudulent? |
FFK shows sympthoms on someone on a very potent drug. It is a miracle such a person could be given the responsibility of selling president Jonathan to the Nigerian electorate. Instead of him to highlight president Jonasthan's positive attributes and achievements, he is obsessed with Buhari. Now lets analyse the stupid press release he gave; “It would mean that it has collected his newly-acquired certificate, 40 days outside the stipulation of the Law.What is he even talking about here? Where in this act does it specify which personal document documents that must be submitted? and when submitted, what was INEC expected to do. Did the law mandate that a certificate must be submitted? Ok what about other personal documents? or is it only Buhari's certificate that PDP/ffk is obsessed with? What about birth certificates to comfirm age, international passport to comfirm nationality? Did Jonathan submit any of these? because we did not see it published in Otueke. Chief Fani-Kayode maintained that INEC “must come clean on this matter; otherwise we will be compelled to pass a no-confidence vote in it”.Maybe FFK and PDP should take over the functions of INEC. Then they are free to do as they please. As far as the discretion of INEC is concerned Buhari is eligible to contest elections in Nigeria, if PDP or any other person feels otherwise, the courts are open. |
