Classickj:That's how lawyers work. They first ask for 50 - 50, and start negotiations from there. It's like when you price a market or negotiate for a service. The seller would first ask for a ridiculous amount and see if you will fall mugu. It is up to the negotiating skills of the lawyer or the discretion of the judge to determine the final settlement. False! They started going out in 2018 when Hakimi was still playing for real Madrid reserve team. It was not only 2020 that he struck gold by signing for inter Milan for a 5 year contract. |
hollywater:She is a youth digger and not a gold digger. I sure she had more money when they started a relationship. She was after young fresh dìck. |
Classickj:But he earns €1million month. The only time some of that €1 million will not be shared between the wife and mother is if it could be proven that she too earns a substantial amount and is able to take care of herself. Anyway the case has just started, let's wait to see how the court decides this case. |
Classickj:But she married him before he struck gold. Besides, that's the normal legal strategy for any divorce lawyer. You first ask for 50-50 and then start negotiations from there. The courts never gives 50-50. |
Boyooosa:It's not that simple. There are numerous examples of relations of husbands taking all properties and assets of their late brother/son leaving the wife and children in absolute penury. And this is often supported by our African culture. Its only the English common law that usually come to the rescue of these wife and children. Go to a regular magistrate court, you will see numerous cases where the widow is fighting the late husbands family for his properties and assets. In the case of divorce, a man by legal responsibility, takes care of the wellbeing of the estranged wife and sponsor their kids, sufficiently but does not equate to a particular sharing formula, most especially when they do not have any joint venture. That's the old traditional marriage where women were housewives and the man the sole breadwinner. In modern marriages, the woman also works and contributes to the running of the family, and even sometimes is the sole breadwinner of the family. Even the housewives contributes her time and energy to the running of the home and raising the kids. If you hired a nanny, cook and cleaner for the duration of the marriage, it will be something substantial. The western courts tries to be fair to both partners by sharing the family income and provide for the upkeep of the children according to the standard they are used to. Here the society is so misogynistic that we don't accord any rights to women and children. This is in contradiction to what happens in western world, they settle for a sharing formula because it is believed they both own their wealth by the virtue of marriage. The courts gives a sharing formula first in order to protect and preserve the interest of the children and because it is believed that both partners contributed to the family one way or the other. The sharing formula depends on a lot of factors, like the length of the marriage, the number of children, the contributions of each partners and of course the total income of the family. In my opinion, divorce should not be seen by the fellow female folks as a means of exploitation and also, male folks should not see spouse's wealth as a gold site to mineExploitation goes both ways. Madonna paid her husband over £40 million pounds and some assets in their divorce settlement. Any situation or arrangement can be exploited. That's why a prenuptial should be negotiated if the parties don't trust each other. Let me add that it would be cruel for a rich man to leave his wife penniless and homeless in a divorce particularly if there are children involved. How will the children relate with their mother if she is homeless? Or do you suggest the children sleep on the streets when they are in custody of their mother, or you suggest the children should be denied a relationship with their mother. Western societies care more for the welfare of the children than even the women, unlike what is obtained here. |
Boyooosa:One more time the Emmanuel Eboue example is exaggerated. Secondly, what do you guys want from women. You say women should not inherited their fathers properties because they marry and become the responsibility of their husbands. Then you turn around again and say women are not entitled to a share of their husbands property and assets. So you only need women for sex, maid and surrogate? |
Xplorepd:As I said earlier, the Emmanuel Eboe issue was over exaggerated. There was no way a divorce settlement can make a rich man expecially a footballer who made over $20 million during his career to be penniless and homeless. The court at worst can only share his properties, assets and money in half, and most times its not even up to half. Bill gates and Jef Bezos assets were not shared in half. If Emmanuel went broke and penniless, it was due to his irresponsable lifestyle and not because his assets were shared in half. Emmanuel Eboue himself have debunked the lies that the divorced rendered him homeless and penniless, but people prefer to believe sensational stories.

grandstar:Moroccans are closer to Europe in terms of not only geography but in terms of physical appearance and culture. On a clear day you can see the Spanish coast from Morocco. |
grandstar:Such marriages are not uncommon in the west. Remember the current president of France wife is 25 years older than him, but the French did not mind and still elected him president. Such thing would have been seen as an abomination here. |
OriOko88:You people are over dramatising the Eboue saga. I am sure giving half his earning was not responsible for his growing broke. He became broke because his lavish and irresponsible lifestyle. African players are renowned for extravagant lifestyle and often become broke just 5 years after the end of their soccer career, even without divorce. |
JovialJune:Nigerian men are the misogynistic men in the universe. They see women as less than their dogs. Sometimes you wonder if it was a woman that gave birth to them. It's annoying that a stupid selfish act is being celebrated by Nigerian men. No one cared to ask how the family was being run all these years they were married. Who was responsible for the house they were living in, the bills and the upkeep of the wife and child they had together? Was it Hakimis mother that paid everything including the food they eat and the water they drank? What most of the celebrating Nigerian men don't know is that as of now, he cannot transfer all his earning to his mother. The courts will deduct alimony and child support from his salary before he transfers the rest to his mother. No woman would agree to live under the conditions Hakimi's wife had lived for the past 5 years. The fact that she was unaware that Hakimi had been transferring all his earnings and properties to his mother for 5 years showed she was not interested in his material wealth. |
ThinkDigitally2:Did you use them at the end of the day? Tell me your experience. |
Debater:That's what I am yet to understand. Even though I don't use TikTok, is what US authorities accusing TikTok of doing the same thing Facebook, Google and all US companies are also doing, which is gathering (or rather spying) on users data? Is there something I am missing? |
basilico:Argue with the medical professionals that carried out the autopsy reports. You are the one crying an ocean as Derrick Chauvin is serving his jail time peacefully. It you crying for him. |
basilico:Your verdict. What qualifications other than being a Trump's cult Member qualifies to to have a verdict? I don't understand how you are attempting to open a case that had already been decided. A case that numerous expert withness testified, a case that Derrick Chauvin and his accomplices were allowed to defend themselves and a case that was decided unanimously by a jury of 12. What are you then arguing about again. You bring in lies and conjectures as if we did not follow the case live on TV. The records are still on line both in video and text format, so I don't understand why you continue to lie in order to defend a white man and demonise a black man. Cause of death was not undetermined from drugs, it was from asphyxiation as a result of Chauvin's knee to his neck. There is no evidence that fentanyl, methamphetamine or any other drug killed him. Again below is the testimony of an expert withness confirming he died as a result of knee on the neck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COKt97dcZXE Here is another expert withness that confirm that the amount of methamphetamine in his blood was therapeutic levels and not fatal levels https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx113F_jyKU That covid antibodies were found in his blood did not necessarily mean he had an active covid infection. It could be antibodies from a previous infection. Covid antibodies remain in the body for up to 3 months after an infection. |
TheMaterialist:Our culture which forbids questioning the aged or those in power and Pentecostal Christianity which promotes materialism, selfishness and public display of unaccountable wealth. |
benalvino3:Sure I ran away from arguing senselessly on a case that had gone through the judicial process and all officers involved had been punished appropriately. I ran away from senseless comparisms that has no relations or similarities with this case. If Derrick Chauvin's Lawyers have new evidence or strongly believes there was a mistrial, nothing prevents them from launching an appeal. A more practical thing to do since you are so obsessed to defend Derrick Chauvin was to contact Chauvin's Lawyers and offer to join the legal team while presenting your new evidence. It makes no sense for you to be crying over Chauvin's guilty verdict when Chauvin and his lawyers have resigned to their fate. |
basilico:The same medical report by Dr. Andrew Baker that reached a conclusion that the neck restriction was the ultimate cause of George Floyd's death. For the umpteenth time, this is the conclusion of Dr. Andrew Baker whose medical report you linked; On Friday, Hennepin County chief medical examiner Andrew Baker, who performed the county autopsy, took the stand. In documents last year, Baker described the “fatal level of fentanyl” in Floyd’s system and told federal investigators that if the victim was “found dead at home alone and no other apparent causes, this could be an acceptable overdose.” Baker also cautioned, “I am not saying this killed him.” You are now reaching a different conclusion from the medical professional that wrote the report itself. In case you can assimilate words and texts, this is the same Dr. Andrew Baker when he was disposed in the trial of Derrick Chauvin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM0m31mJ_SM Abi Dr. Andrew Baker was lying too like you accuse police bosses? |
benalvino3:Kneel on his neck for 9 minutes until he dies, even when he pleads in his delirious state for you to remove your knee of his neck. |
basilico:If you are predisposed to think that police trained Derrick Chauvin to kneel on the neck of an already subdued man for 9 minutes until he stopped breathing, then nothing you see can change your mind. |
benalvino3:Are you accusing a police chief of committing perjury in court? Why did Chauvin's Lawyers not accuse the senior police officer of lying. As I said you should have volunteered to be Derrick Chauvin's defense lawyer. You seem to feel you are more competent than his lawyers. MPD training materials show knee-to-neck restraint similar to the one used on FloydYou just past links by reading headlines without reading the body or the context of the articles. These are excerpts from the link you posted; The training materials specify: "the maximal restraint technique shall only be used in situations where handcuffed subjects are combative and still pose a threat to themselves, officers or others, or could cause significant damage property if not properly restrained." The slide that includes the photo states that officers should "Place the subject in the recovery position to alleviate positional asphyxia." MPD Chief Medaria Arradondo has said in interviews and press conferences following the death of George Floyd that officers are not trained to place their knee on a suspect's neck like Chauvin did to Floyd. How you think this article support your notion that Derrick Chauvin acted according to police training beats me. |
basilico:Mr Chauvin's advocate. Why were you not in court during his trail? Maybe you were Derrick Chauvin's police trainer

Gajagojo:come and fight in Nigeria ke? Ask Bash Ali that tried it. He was frustrated and disgraced by officials of the sports ministry and the Nigerian Boxing Federation. If he attempts it, sports ministry officials will demand bribe, state governments officials will demand bribe, even agberos (youths) will demand their share before they allow any show. Then which venue can host such internation events without the security, power and logistic challenges that is unique to Nigeria. Is India not corrupt?how many times do you hear Indians running their mouths stupidly about the countryYes India is corrupt, but our own is on another level. Corruption is a culture here. India would never install 75 WiFi points for N24 billion. India would never buy 10 fire trucks for N12 billion. Prime minister Mordi does not fly to London, Paris or Saudi Arabian hospitals to treat common illness. |
He said, “There is a lot of red tape in Nigeria. Nigeria is a very corrupt place. I love my people, but it is just that the government, everyone is finding ways to siphon money.”But 99% of them are either Christians or Muslims, the are churches on every street (sometimes up to 6) and mosques in every 3 streets. They fast, pray, pilgrimage to Mecca and Israel, and form holy holy holy, but Nigerians are about the most dishonest, criminally minded and outrightly wicked people on the face of the earth. This simply means Christianity and Islam has failed us. It failed to help us build a peaceful and progressing nation. |
Obrigardo:That's why people like us are still here, to counter Russian propaganda and their agents so as to minimise the damage to society in general and not just the US. |
basilico:You just cannot resist the urge to defend Trump's words no matter how stupid it sounds. So because the epicenter of a nuclear explosion melts everything within a radius of 1km, that equates to global nuclear warming as insinuated by Trump? Even forest fires spanning thousands of hectares are not said to cause global warming. You need to be ignorant to join the Trump cult. A nuclear war will cause a nuclear winter and not a global warming. |
Obrigardo:You know Trump has limited vocabulary apart from limited knowledge. It should rather be nuclear winter. Anyway, we get the drift. Nuclear Armaggedon is a more serious threat than global warming. |
Obrigardo:In this case, I think Trump is right. We are closer to a nuclear war than at any other period in our history. With Finland joining and Sweden joining NATO, its only a matter of time before they get dragged into the Russian - Ukraine war and a direct confrontation with NATO. I am more worried about a Nuclear war than global Warming right now. |
soojar:Prince Bola Ajibola 's full name (which obviously appears on all his certificates) are Bolasodun Adesumbo Ajibola. What is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's full name? In yoruba Bola is a short form of a longer name just like Wole, Ola, Fola, Sola, etc., that is the full meaning of Bola in Tinubu's name? |
