The civil service is filled with redundancies. We all know these people have nothing to do, just sit in the office all day or not even come at all.
Yet no courage to sack them

We are not the one voting them. They put themselves there

Why does he need a job? To enable him be a good father i.e to procreate... That's all the Nigerian thinks about. He is not saying he wants to contribute to improving the world. Someone so economically desperate, if you give him a small job, rather than build on it to lift himself and others out of poverty, he immediately brings kids into the world, thereby sinking at least 3 more people into poverty.. And the vicious cycle continues

Worthless people marrying to bring in worthless children into the world to swell an already worthless population.
The only thing uppermost on the mind of a Nigerian is marriage. All a Nigerian wants to do is get married and procreate. Both those with the means, those without the means, everyone is obsessed with marrying and giving birth in Nigeria. Nothing else really matters. Sometimes I wonder if the black man isn't truly cursed

If he tells you, that you wash your car too much, then you actually do! And need to reduce it. It is not everything that is a beef or bad belle. You're wasting water. In Nigeria, most people actually don't know water is a resource that needs to be consciously conserved. It gets depleted and can run out like other natural resources if not prudently utilized. One day, you will put on your pumping machine and nothing will come out from the borehole.
I have actually told a neighbour point blank to stop wasting water, everytime using hose to be splashing water on his car. We don't have any form of familiarity at all, so he respected

I think we need to start telling ourselves some home truths about this whole japa mentality. Yes, the country is not good and everyone wants a better life, but can we at the same time be saying the truth that it is not automatically a bed of roses over there? That you still have to toil, succeed and fail over there too? That it is also possible to also make it here despite the way things are?
Honestly, this is becoming a ridiculous obsession, it is no longer about a better life.

The Voice Nigeria remains the best music talent show in Nigeria. Seasons 1 and 2 were mind blowing, the only drawback was that the eventual winners were not really deserving, but that's the outcome for anything that has to do with voting in Nigeria. I still go back to watch clips from those seasons.
Season 3 was drab, several things were wrong with it, firstly, the lack of an audience in a bid to adhere to Covid protocols (which has magically disappeared since Russia Ukraine war started), secondly, it seemed the winner was already pre-determined (even though she deserved to win), thirdly, the talents weren't so much unlike previous years

We keep marrying and giving birth indiscriminately in this country. Clearly, these two don't look like they can cater for a child, but they will bring them into the world anyway to swell the growing ranks of poverty and desperation.
Catering is not about just surviving, it is about the quality of life.
I'm just tired of this backwardness. One person is quoting scriptures about marrying being half of a person's religion. Why is the black man slave to religion? The Arabs from where Islam originated and the Jews from where Christianity originated are not slaves to the religions. Why always the black man?

I've worked in Federal palace and Eko Hotel respectively; all in VI and I know so many short guys and ladies working as receptionist in these hotels without discrimination of any kind.

My ex works in Chevron Hotels at Chevron drive lekki and he's average (though he calls himself short man). One of their receptionist is a shorty too. So what are trying to say?
