Mtvbaseng:So this was your takeaway from the experience? To profile women in Lagos? Cause the oloshos look classy, an "average big girl" is now an olosho? What of the men that pick them? They didn't convince you that an average man in Lagos an olosho client too? Will you guys ever stop at anything to profile women? The same you would cry a river when SARS or HR officials profile you. Sexism is disgusting. |
Lawalemi:In Nigeria, maybe. In Canada, it's against the law to ask age, sexuality and some few other personal details. |
MISTAICEY02288:That's exactly how Nigerian men profile ladies based on their dressing too but would cry a river when SARS and HR officers start profiling them based on thier appearance. |
OP, did you say filthy? |
DaddyRochie1642:C'mon, don't be too hard on yourself. These trivial kinda news serve to make us smile while we live our ever busy lives. |
SEGLIZ:Frogs and salamanders are not reptiles. |
Lol... PEJ was asked a tricky question and he dodged it. |
Nice |
Panel beaters everywhere. And some people are here protecting the man's interest as usual. Toxic masculinity is a thing in Africa. |
"How can a child have a car?" Lol... that was a sincere question from an online user who couldn't relate. The person might not necessarily be poor but it's obvious he/she isn't in the wealth level of the woman. People need to understand that the availability of resources changes the mindset. It's possible the car would be dedicated to driving the baby boy to and from school and other school gatherings. The woman could have bought the car for herself and used it for solely the same purpose, and no one would complain. But the moment it's in the boy's name, people start wondering how a kid could own a car. Keeping assets for your kids, cash or kind, is never a bad idea. The world is hard enough, anything to make their lives easier is welcome. They mustn't suffer cause you suffered to make it. Those who suffer don't always turn out better. A happy child makes for a kind adult. |
OK. Let's wait for the theorists to come and tell us how they've been sleeping with each other. |
ablejesus26:If everyone minds their businesses the way you described, will there still be online forums? I know Nigerians pokenose into other people's businesses but I don't think that criticism applies here cause online forums are purposely designed to share opinions and counter opinions, and it's not a Nigerian thing. It's only a problem when decorum is flown through the window. The guy you quoted must have been quoting people to give his opinion or counter theirs but got all emotional when someone quoted his. |
Kneephy:Wow... This escalated way too quickly. He shared his opinion on your post just like you shared your opinion on the original post. Isn't that what online forums are all about? Haven't you quoted people before? Please, be calming down. |
I really don't know why most NL men/boys come online to seek approval/validation in their personal relationships. It's almost as if everyone is afraid of being called a simp or whatever it is kids say these days, and that's like living one's life in a societal cage instead of being oneself and following one's heart. Back to the topic, people here don't really care about you. They will say anything that makes them feel good about themselves, anything that makes them feel amongst the "sharp guys" and they will forget the thread the moment the page reloads. So don't expect much carefully thought out answers. Even the sincere ones can only give their opinionated views. At the end, it's still all on you. It's really about your inner peace, what you can overlook and what you can't. Remember that there's no perfect relationship, people are different, and there's no formula. Here is my own take: if you love her and you are sure she loves you (and you don't have a problem raising a baby that is not biologically yours), I'd say you shouldn't then let people talk you out of your happiness cause whomsoever you decide to date tomorrow might have had much more sex than this one but just didn't get pregnant. But then again, it's understandable if you're uncomfortable with raising another man's child. If that that's the case, it would be better if you quit now than make things difficult for the woman and her baby in future. Nobody can tell you your disposition towards the subject so do what makes you happy. |
Pauvre mec... Seems you're looking for love though. Or at least, the possibility of that. |
OP, using the word 'stupid' when you want to present your opinion is fallacious. It would have sufficed to just say what you think is better. Meanwhile, who are "Nigerian builders"? I sincerely do not understand. Why do peopl come online to criticize imaginary Nigerians? OP, aren't you Nigerian? Tell your engineer/architect you want to use wood for your own house and they'd gladly do that for you. Or is there a law prohibiting you from doing that? Must we always come online to insult "Nigerians"? Like we all know, and like we can see on this thread, brick houses have advantages and disadvantages just like cement houses, each person should go with their choice. Let's stop this attitude of trying to force our preferences on others. |
Samakus:It would have made more sense if you said people should learn to cover themselves. But your statement "fat people should learn to cover themselves" reeks of discrimination. You might as well ask them to hide where people cannot see them cause they are fat and unacceptable. |
Nominate him for what and who would he win? I believe people love the guy cause of his BBN performance not cause of his music. Headies does not have a category for best BBN winner of the ..... |
Pleasing people and women pleasing? Are women not people? If you're into pleasing everyone, you'd get burnt, the gender does not matter. But OP, if you don't do any of these, would you still count as human? Lol |
This is nonsense! A pair of shorts on a sunny day is indecent cause of some people who can't control themselves yet these same people walk around only in boxers and no one harasses them. |
But how hard can it be really? In my opinion, once you read the recommended book and watch a few YouTube videos, there's nothing there one cannot answer. |
Davash222:She paid people to protest on her family affairs? You guys assume a lot and you present your assumptions as facts. So if Regina really wanted her husband not to marry another woman, she'd go and pay protesters down the street? Lol |
Lol... Beyhives ! |
lexy2014:Everything you say is right. I type wrongly. You can't avoid the topic. I've accepted my own error, let's work on your ego. Is Canada a godless country? ![]() **Modified** Where are you nah? It's getting late where I am and I only engage people like you on Fridays. If it passes my own midnight, you'd have to wait to next week Friday to enjoy my company again o ![]() |
lexy2014:I didn't see anything. Ok, I saw where you started a conversation with "you see why..." so thought tha was an explanation. But obviously, it wasn't. That godless country ![]() |
lexy2014:No, I accept I was wrong. It was a wrong assumption. That's not not avoidance. Was a calling Canada godless a wrong assumption too? Could you also be wrong, bro? |
lexy2014:I see how you are trying to avoid the topic. That's what I see. So what do you see that made you think Canada is godless? |
lexy2014:I can be so so wrong, bro. So wrong. That's human nature. And that's why we should talk about how Canada is godless. Maybe I'm also wrong. Or are you so sure you were wrong and that's why you're avoiding that topic? Do you regret saying that? Or maybe you've had some personal experiences that informed your conclusion? Let's 'talk' about it. |
lexy2014:You missed this one. You didn't explain "etc". I was wrong. WoundedLamb: |
lexy2014: ![]() Entertaining. I already said you didn't explain anything. I'm only saying you need to explain one thing. I know you've learned something but I'd also like to know what makes a typical African think western countries don't believe in God. Isn't a that a decent conversation to have, bro? |
