edupedia:'My ethnic-minded coup....'? Dude, what are you smoking?Care to point out the time Ndigbo conducted a meeting or plebiscite and instructed Nzeogwu and his fellow coupists (who i reiterate were made up of soldiers from other ethnic grps) to go and do what they did? You evil lot are just grasping at straws in your attempt to paint Igbos as the big bad Ogre and problem you have in Nigeria! Pity Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani can't have a country of their own devoid of the 'pesky nya-miris/yi-bos'....it would probably be El-Dorado innit? Funny thing is that none of you are supporting the secessionist agenda of IPOB/MASSOB which could hep see you rid of those you despise for ever! |
Sirjamo:You schmucks find it so convenient to blame Ndigbo (that you've schemed out of power since 1966) for all the woes of your cursed country! It's not Hausa/Fulani or Yoruba fault but it's Igbos fault that Nigeria is a shithole abi? Ironsi, as naive as he was, only played with the cards he was dealt. However, with the benefit of hindsight it's obvious he didn't appreciate fully the level of malcontent in the north, and this is borne out of the fact that his body guard was a northerner and he felt safe and cosy with his eventual killers right up to the time they pulled their guns out on him! If you want to blame anyone, blame Nzeogwu and his fellow idealists who included soldiers from other ethnicities as well! Just what is it that Igbos and Ironsi did in 1966 that you 'angels' can't undo 52 years after? Fact of the matter is you love the present status-quo in which Nigeria is operating a unitary form of gov't in all but name, as it means you can maintain your control of the cash cow of the country and hold other regions down to move at your own snail pace! This is why being president is the be-all-and-end-all for una! |
Cjrane2:I have little patience for govt's and governors in the south east who're just full of hot air and empty promises! I remember when Obiano was out campaigning for his first term, one of the pillars of his economic blueprint for the state was oyel and gas. Now can anyone tell me what has been put in place or is in the process of being put in place....and this is his 5th year as governor! Instead all we see in clearing of gutter and shanties and his otimpkus will not let us hear word with repeated shouts of 'Willie is working'! See what procrastination and dilly-dallying has caused; a factory which should have been sited in Anambra as part of SABmillers expansion strategy has been taken to Ogun which already has more than enough FDIs owing to 'one Nigeria' and how successive gov'ts have favoured Lagos and Ogun over and above other states and regions! When i say this evil contraption is holding us back, this is exactly what i mean! When OBJ was linking industrial estates in Ogun with gas why didn't he think of doing same to Aba and Onitsha which are nearer to the gas fields than Agbara is? Besides 'one Nigeria', our useless and visionless elite in the east is also a major problem we face. PDP was in power for 16 years, and i'm made to understand Igbos were close to the corridors of power then unlike is presently the case. Now why didn't they cause our industrial cities in the east to be equally linked up with gas like was done with Agbara in Ogun...and if the problem was a bigoted and overbearing OBJ, then why wasn't anything done when GEJ was in power for up to 6 years? This is why when i see efulefu Igbo politicians rushing to join APC with the 'excuse' that they want Igbos to be at the centre as well where the decisions are made, i just laugh....what the fuc/k did they achieve when they were close to power for 16 years in PDP, or is it now we have the worst kind of vindictive, Igbo-hating bigot in Aso Rock that they expect to get something? Abeg, no make me laugh! |
Banmeallday:They were both naive and wanted to be more Nigerian than their contemporaries who were more their ethnic groups before considering Nigeria! Can you imagine there has been no Igbo head of state or president since this man!? And it's all the more mind-boggling when you consider who where the personalities and what groups championed Nigerias' 'independence' and were visiting London for all those constitutional conferences in the 50s. |
babyfaceafrica:Don't be silly and argue just for the heck of it! How did i 'judge a tribe'? Point it out from my initial post. I've told you what i stated was my reading of the situation based on what we already know, so point out the hypothesis which you're sure will later turn out to be fake. Your problem is you're overly sensitive and immediately see any comment on Yoruba by a Igbo as an attack! |
babyfaceafrica:There's such a thing as an educated guess. That's why we have hypothesis which can evolve into fact once proven. |
Hehehehe ![]() Maybe they asked her if she would mind joining the APC and she told them in no uncertain terms to go screw themselves! This must have made them say no wahala, and Oshiomole put a call through to EFCC asking them if they've managed to dig up any dirt on the stubborn woman yet. When EFCC replies that they couldn't find anything that would stick, Oshio baba must have told them to go along with the little they've managed to find, let them see if they can break her will with a little harassment. After all, it worked on poor Metuh didn't it....he's since learnt to keep his 'big mouth' shut! ![]() |
aguiyi2:Let another come and have a go....we'll be cheering them on from the back! ![]() |
babyfaceafrica:This is true! A poll hasn't been taken in the west to be able to conclusively assert majority of them have abandoned the desire for restructuring. Likewise a poll hasn't been conducted in the east to determine one way or the other if they're for Biafra/secession or just restructuring. Talk of Igbos salivating over the presidential ticket of APC is just being mischievous as so far it's just a handful of Igbo elite and politicians (mainly those in APC) that have been talking about it. Going by the protests, incarcerations and cold-blooded murder visited on Igbos by the Buhari federal gov't, we can make an educated guess as to where their sentiments lay. It's a bit more difficult to make same judgement call when it comes to the Yoruba and restructuring because apart from Yinka Odumakin, Ayo Adebanjo and a few others, the call for restructuring in the south west hasn't seen the groundswell of support and mass movement the call for a referendum on secession has seen in the south east. |
BafanaBafana:And so....what exactly is your point? |
It's unconscionable the fact that the state governor (supposedly a Igbo man) hasn't made any statement or given any explanation as to the sudden disappearance of a traditional ruler, his wife and son on the day the nigerian army invaded their compound! The wicked governor who in all likelihood is in cahoots with the fulani gov't in Abuja is a judas and a disgrace to Ndigbo in particular and humanity in general! |
Don't be too hasty to judge....maybe they have a Tardis (time machine) in Aso Rock with which they'll use to travel back in time for the meeting! ![]() |
Gratefulheart1:Hehehehehe ![]() Greatfulheart don vex be dat! |
sirusX:This is why they no wan take ear hear anything restructuring! If things were done fairly, regions/states that have a passion for education would be encouraged with more funds, but in Nigeria you only get more funds if you have useless landmass and can fuc/k and breed like bunny rabbits! ![]() |
unohbethel:They'll pull out dagger for you if you show them these facts and dare to suggest that we abolish quota-system and federal character while making merit the first and main consideration in employment and governance! ![]() |
Aegon:Jokes apart...this is food for thought! |
truthfulparrot:....and the minister of petroleum? |
justtoodark:Listen mate! Don't mistake your bigotry and your ethnic grps hatred for Igbos as a national sentiment! You see Igbos and other major ethnic groups in the country and think it's Igbos the rest of Nigeria want to see leave? If this were so, we would have been granted a referendum ages ago instead of being visited by murderous fulani soldiers in the name of python dance and having scores of protesting Igbo youth murdered in cold blood! Telling us to 'move back to the east' while no firm commitment on Biafra or a referendum has been got amounts to placing the cart before the horse and is a crafty move by you nasty lot to make it look like you're sentiments are in tandem with those of the likes of IPOB and MASSOB that want out of Nigeria. You ain't fooling no one but yourselves |
National interest in this case means Fulani/Buhari interest! If you can't protect national interest within the ambit of the law then you had better check well as you're probably mistaking national interest for your own personal or regional interest! Saying national interest supersedes a persons fundamental human rights is abhorrent and amounts to the tail wagging the dog as it's the people that make up a country and the protection of their individual rights would snowball into the protection of national interest! Only someone with a dictators mindset would think denying individuals due process of the law is good for the entire country as they see themselves as the embodiment and personification of the nations sovereignty! |
homotayo11:You people are so evasive and slippery...it's difficult to pin you down on any issue! See you asking what RESTRUCTURING is as if you don't know! You pretend not to know because you know a RESTRUCTURED Nigeria would remove the stranglehold you have on Nigeria; would make politics and governance at the centre less attractive; and would allow regions/states to have control of their resources and destiny and progress at their own pace...thereby leaving you lot behind if you don't pull your socks up! RESTRRUCTURING Nigeria simply means returning to the status quo pre-1966....with a few adjustments given present day realities! Simple! |
DonCorleons:He can't say that seeing as he's a first-class Buhari minion! ![]() |
WiLdFLame:Let's for the sake of argument agree he's as bad as the APC/Yoruba/Fulani media hacks are making him out to be; i reckon even if Ndigbo vote for him they still have some way to go to beat your record of voting in a bigoted, vindictive, murderous and devious walking corpse with one leg already in the grave! ![]() |
The bridge looks a bit cheap! I wonder the last time engineers tested it? ![]() Any wonder a little torrent of water can tear away chunks of it with ease! |
arinzeejikonye:Because it's Abia State! Nuff said! ![]() |
This rail line the federal government says it will build in the east, anyone know if it links up with Nsukka? The one in the north even extends to Daura and Niger Republic! Anyone with access to the planned route for the one in the east? |
spyder880:Be careful who you let in on your plans as some may pretend to be Igbo just to monitor the site and kill it if necessary! See the way O'mambala.com just died like that without a explanation or apology! Even when it was running it was like the owner of the site just didn't care as there were many bugs and problems which took forever to fix, with some lasting the entire life of the site! I'm suspecting the owner wasn't Igbo but volunteered to help us set up the site so he could monitor and direct Igbo opinion and steer it towards his preferred agenda. And when he found out we are republicans with a mind of our own that can't be teleguided, he gave up and let the site die! So ask to meet up with anyone offering to help just so you can confirm they're Igbo. ![]() |
How come different types of criminals in the north have different areas of operation? Bokos=north east; fulani herdsmen=middlebelt; and bandits=north west. The bizarre thing is that the so called security is able to tell one from the other...even before apprehending the culprits! Abi dem dey use CSI techniques? ![]() |
2Lynx:Care to tell me where and when Ndigbo denied him? |
justice12000:Hehehehe ![]() That's for us to know and for you to keep trying to find out! ![]() |
yazach:Shut up please! How many fulani have gone to their family to expose the murderers and kidnappers their area? |
Ikenna0b:Haba Ikenna! You're taking this thing too far! Ogini di!? Fani-Kayode is a friend to Ndigbo and someone i quite admire if i'm to be honest! |
MyMouth:Igbo man, but he's married to a Igala woman. ![]() |
