BeautifulMind2:That first pic of Awka is exactly what i'm talking about! See how the trees give the city a clean and classy look! |
fablani:The Arekakanfo (i think that's how it's spelt ) of Yorubaland has spoken, so if you're Yoruba you had better fall in line! |
BeijinDossier:This is where Port Harcourt comes into its own! I think its old GRA is the best in the entire east....so serene, green, and with huge trees everywhere! Also, what i like is the way the grass between the road and walls of the different properties are always well trimmed and green. |
BeijinDossier:What of that massive mall being constructed by the younger brother of Peter Obi? Have they finished it? |
spyder880:Awka? ![]() |
I hope they either have storage or a ready market for these produce. The farmers should see good returns for their investments even if it means gov't subsidising them. |
This is how greedy bastards are not only giving the state a bad name but shortchanging it in the process! When you hear of states like Anambra and Abia declaring IGR much lower than what was expected, it's these fools that are responsible! How much of all this money they're stealing from hapless motorists is being remitted to the states coffers? |
Develpeast:Are you sure of the amount....about 2 trillion naira? That's a couple of billions of dollars oh! Looking at the situation from a pragmatic and realistic angle; where will the money come from? They've not paid the Ogonis' the $1 Billion they promised them, and you (a 'nyamiri') is rubbing your hands with glee in expectation of collecting billions of dollars from Rivers and the federal gov't? Have you also factored in the person we have as president at the moment? Assuming the money was available, you think a Buhari will sign off giving Abia up to $5 Billion so it can become developed and leave Katsina behind? Bros, get real biko. ![]() If the case was resolved in Abias' favour, my question then is: judging from the amount they were awarded and the oil wells returned back to them, how come they're not getting a much higher derivation payment? All things considered, shouldn't they be receiving what say Akwa Ibom is getting? ![]() |
McStoic:I've also noticed Rochas has little time for tree planting. Look at drone pics of all these new areas you guys are talking about and you'd be hard pressed to spot even one tree never mind a cluster. Maybe you'd see a few token spots of grassed up areas, but that's pretty much all the greenery you're gonna get! This is not just a problem with Rochas...all our Governors in the SE don't see planting flowers, shrubs and lining our streets with trees as being important! It's very annoying! ![]() |
Nwodosis:Hehehehe ![]() |
ChidiAlaigbo:So what you gonna do about it? I despise your type as well, and this is why i support the Biafran bid for secession! If i were to ask what you're doing to stop sharing the same country with Igbos what would you say? |
spyder880:See how solid the constructions were in the good old days. A direct hit from a cruise missile would struggle to bring that edifice down! A legacy of the Mbakwe years! ![]() |
itchie:The scumbag has to say something to deflect blame from his god Buhari! Remember they claim improvement in security as one of their achievements so this news is bad for their election bid in 2019! All these bastards are concerned about is |
michoim:The way you guys parrot on and on about 'kwarruption' one would be forgiven for thinking you're all long overdue for canonisation! |
Refreshments berekete! ![]() |
Something told me the person would be Igbo! ![]() |
reiddecuti:Any link to a website showing 3D images or pics of these mega projects being constructed in Ebonyi? There's hardly any available! Provided the financing of the airport is on a BOT or PPP basis then i'm all for it! The multiplier effect from having a airport in Abakaliki will be huge! Can any state that wants to vastly improve its economic fortunes afford not to have a airport in its capital? There are states satisfied with just collecting handouts from Abuja every month, and there are those with bold ambitions and a vision for where they want to be in the future; Ebonyi is among the latter! |
Osinamoney:Now you know the reason for the stockpile of PVCs found at home of Mamman Daura! ![]() |
Naijaguy12345:Was going to ask you the reason for this hateful post...whether Genny did you wrong in the past, then i checked your profile and got the answer! Dude, purge yourself of hate and bigotry and maybe the quality of your life will improve! Carrying this much emotional baggage ain't good for your BP! |
Sannisege:Was always a question of when not if! ![]() |
cassidy1996:East side the best side! ![]() |
horsepower101:I have a feeling Dr Ikeanumba has been following this thread! Like you said, he's going along with most of our suggestions these past few months. Just goes to show that what we're doing here isn't a wasted effort. I would like to see all umbrella state diaspora associations to key into what their Enugu kinsfolk are doing. First on a state level, and the on a Pan-Igbo level. The pan-Igbo one could be concerned with generally promoting Igbo social, economic and political interests and values. This could include promotion of the Igbo language; a intra-state rail network; linking the SE by rail to at least one seaport, and supporting/part-financing at least one economic enabler in each state (like coal or gas fed power stations, airports, inland river ports, improving tourist potentials, agriculture, etc). Also, i think it would be better if they used the stock market as a platform to raise the money they need. The way they're doing it now, it's only open to a few thousand people who are members of the respective diaspora organisations, and this would limit the amount they're able to raise. But if they were to raise the money via the stock market, it could then be open to not just the diaspora organisation members abroad, but millions of Igbos both at home and abroad. Doing it via the stock market would also engender confidence and the money would be secure and managed better. If there's enough publicity and confidence in the scheme, it could raise at least $5 Billion in ten years, and it would also be easier to enter partnerships with bodies like the World Bank and countries with billions of dollars of spare funds to invest like China. |
alhassanyusuf29:This fools favourite word seems to be 'nyamuri'! A good pointer to the fact he's probably a rabid fulani Igbo hater! A pic is uploaded showing decayed bodies dumped in the bush, and this slimeball isn't perturbed one bit...rather he's more interested in 'nyamuri flat.heads' not getting the better of one of his kind! This is the evil scum i'm unfortunate to be tied together with in 'one Nigeria'! It's naive Igbo that don't know the evil they face in this cursed country that i pity! They've been lulled into a false sense of security, and it would be quite easy for the likes of this towel-head alhassan dude to creep up behind and catch them unawares with a dagger in the back! |
Bolustical:Hehehehehe ![]() You blaming 'flat-headed' for this one kwa? Looks like your dumb bros forgot to change his name to a 'flat-headed' one while processing his passport before travelling! ![]() |
EgbechoF:Is there justice in Nigeria? |
kennygee:....and observant too! |
But this is nothing but the truth! Just check out the kind of misfits elevated to positions of authority and governance in Nigeria and you'd begin to appreciate the mans argument! You hear of Nigerians held back and held down by quota-system and federal character but who then go abroad (where merit and hardwork is appreciated and rewarded) and immediately excell! See the way someone like Chimamanda Adichie is fêted and appreciated abroad. In Nigeria she would have been given little or no attention never mind reward, and they'd tell her to wait in line due to quota-system as Anambra quota is full and they need to give a 'educationally disadvantaged' state like Zamfara or Borno their own turn. ![]() |
MrBrownJay1:With all due respect, you needn't have mentioned 'countries' for anyone with even half a brain to know that's what you're referring to! You're just not making sense! Just admit you were wrong and move on instead of digging an even deeper hole for yourself! I can imagine the type of mofos that are giving you all those silly likes....7 at the last count! |
The way they're hyping this guy eh! It's like there's a concerted effort to ram him down our throats....see the speed with which it was taken to front page! Surely i'm not the only one that thinks he's songs are as forgettable as they come? I think Davido is the current Prince of pop on the continent. But he has to be consistent if he wants to retain the crown! His last good song was fire-fire-burn....subsequent releases haven't measured up! |
MrBrownJay1:This is how people fail exam! The topic for discussion are worst cities in the world to live in, not countries! ![]() |
You mean Mogadishu is more liveable than Lagos? |
