Suddenly feeling a bit more optimistic about the new Anambra airport! Just hope this useless virus will not scupper plans and ongoing works, because building materials imported from abroad are bound to go up in cost...that’s where they’re available! And other logistics related to the construction are bound to encounter a few hiccups as well!
Fingers crossed! |

Thread has been overrun by insecure, one-Nigeria loving impostors! If they’re not shouting ‘Igbo want our oyel’, then they’re screaming ‘Igbo attache by fire by force’! Can anyone of them tell me how, in the event of Biafra being actualised, the Igbo will force any other ethnicity to join them? Also, has anyone of these imps bothered to remember that all ethnicities/groups will all be party to enacting the articles of association (constitution) which will guide how they relate with one another in the new country!? It boggles the mind when you consider these fools are actually in favour of these ethnicities carrying on with the status-quo Nigeria has offered them since 1970 when the uncivil war ended! |

Even before knowing the country where this happened, if asked between Nigeria and Ghana, in which country was this more likely to have happened, i’d say Ghana without even thinking twice! It’s a known fact Nigeria is a lawless society that usually doesn’t enforce rules they’re bothered to make!
What has saved Nigeria thus far is the ingenuity, resourcefulness and determination of individual Nigerians both within and outside the country! This is what its successive gov’ts have been using to shine and cover up their ineptitude and cluelessness! |

Jewessgratitudd: I think what the government should be sensitizing the public more about is how to self detect by stating some of the peculiar symptoms and how to practice self isolation if you notice any of those symptoms. And not all this statistics of the death rates and how its spreading fast or how we should prepare for the worst. Abi their brain knock? Or did we tell them we don't already know all that? Let them just educate everyone on self isolation and the period it will last and also advise how families should care for them during that period. simple. So people don't go about endangering other people's life. At least we read of the lady who gave account of her experience with the disease. How she self-isolated and kept her hubby safe from contacting the virus. The WHO and Nigerian health sector should capitalize on this and stop spreading panic.
That's little cent. My fear is there are so many uninformed Nigerians (and this is also the case in other african and third-world countries) who will get these symthoms and not do the right thing. They will just go to their local pharmacy to buy paracetamol and carry on with life as usual....spreading it to hundreds of others given our poor hygiene practices! Just look at busy areas in highly populated cities (motorparks, markets, worship centres, schools, etc) and see the sea of heads in close contact with one another, the one can appreciate the magnituted of the challenge facing the country! |

iwaeda: Na ontop of Africa they will put the whole matter because of our poor hygiene and wicked and selfish leaders. The advice of washing hands with soap and water for at least 20seconds, social-distancing and self/family isolation for two weeks when sympthoms are noticed in one or more members of the same family....all these would be hard to impliment in Nigeria. |

Anambralstson: I guess you will serve me with three bottles of Hero when we start releasing the pictures, if you are around we can drive to the site,Craneburg Construction Company is the company handling the project a German company based in Lagos, they are the company Ambode used for for the construction of Lekki/Epe road So they've dispensed with the services of the Chinese coy they initially said would provide part of the funds and build it themselves? If so, it means the state gov't would have had to sign an entirely new MOU and contract with the new German coy, and the costing would have changed. I suspect an entirely new model is being built....and at a drastically reduced cost from the initial $2 Billion Chinese model. All this conjecture is because we've been left in the dark regarding the new airport. |

You act as if governance in your state or region is any better! If you’re referring to LAGOS (as i’m sure you are)....angry that Igbos wouldn’t stop commenting on issues concerning the state or stop commenting on your god Tinubu (that has Lagos in his pocket) then you’re in for a big disappointment for as long as Igbos are stakeholders in Lagos and constitute a huge chunk of its population! My mother arrived at the hospital on Friday 13th March, 2020, blood samples were collected on Saturday 14th March, 2020 with results expected on Monday 16th March, 2020.
I wonder where the Igbo online fighters are? If this stuff happened in Lagos they won't allow one to breath, they will call for Tinubu head, mean while their state is rotten, their leaders are not accountable to them, the same hospital behind Enugu shop rite is an eye sore when it come to facilities and clients relationship but instead of them to channel their energy in fixing and develop their state na to dey poke nose into matter that is not their own. They will carry other state matter/problem for head like gala, they can easily find fault in others while covering their own mess with clothe. How do Igbos 'poke nose into matter that is not their own'? Or are you implying Igbos should not make any comment about Lagos state? On what basis are you making this demand? Is Lagos just a Yoruba affair, and only Yoruba are allowed to make a commentary on governance in the state? Are you also saying Igbos have not said anything critical about governance in Enugu state? You nasty Igbo-hating bigots are so insecure and infantile! |

FirstbornWds: Look at the leader we voted into power. A President who has to wait for the governor of a vibrant city as Lagos to bring casualties pictures. Is it that the Presidential jet is faulty or what?
Isn't Osinbnjo from Lagos state? Is he now heartless that even the things in his state don't bother him anymore?
What about Asiwaju Tinubu? Or is it because there are no bullion Vans involved?
Nigeria, Oh My Country!!
We are not doing well at all
It's obvious that Common Sense is indeed not common.
If that is not the case, I don't know how a full-grown man will lack the basic knowledge to comprehend simple English and points raised but see it as wailing.
Just so you know, una yeye govt doesn't affect me one bit. I'm only concerned why the so-called number one citizen in the country will be so less concerned about the bad happenings in a busy metropolitan state as Lagos and would only need to request for pictures ( It's not as if he's out of the country or busy with some cut-neck projects at the moment, at least he traveled for ArgunArgun festival recently) before he sees things for himself. Not even his vice, the son of the same state where the casualty event took place even visited the state.
And besides, is Buhari now competing with Jonathan in terms of foolishness? Is he not supposed to be better?
