Are you Igbo or Yoruba? If you are Igbo, before you worry about where Lagos money is going, it's advisable and more beneficial to worry about where Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu or Abia monies are going.
You said those other states earn like one-fifth of Lagos revenue, even the little they earn, did they put it to judicious use?

For starters, How many Igbo traders pay tax here?

..... before you demand for accountability.

Lagos is still better by far, even the odds, corruption or not.

Many politicians are actually corrupt.

I've not traversed the North, I was only in Abuja so I can't say much.
I've been to some Eastern states, especially Enugu -9th Mile, Udi, Nkanu east&west, Igbo Etiti, Nsukka, Oji River, Aninri, Igboeze, I was there. Without any bias, they need development more than Lagos. I've mentioned this here long before the elections. My sojourn took me to the nooks and crannies and it was quite an eyesore - zero health facilities from government. The Catholic Church is trying though. Now, you should be more worried about your corrupt government that refused to deliver democracy dividends to the people. I'll be annoyed and reactive to my father's failures before I remember my friend's father's failures cause it's not really my business.

Igbos deserve better. Question your representatives. They collect federal government allocation yet do nothing! Zero! Nada! That is REAL corruption. As if that's not enough. You started using your kinsmen to do Hutu and Tutsi. I hope the killings stop. I wish all Igbos fortitude to bear the impending loss, I wish Lagos growth and development and I wish Nigeria a peaceful transition. Ire O!
Nicely put.

A chieftain and ex-presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba has criticized Labour Party's gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, for not removing his cap and shoes when he visited Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu at his Palace on Thursday, IGBERETV reports.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Adamu shared photo of himself at the Oba's palace, and wrote;

Dsalvo:
Mo gbe. Igbos are now having the temerity and bravado to threaten Yorubas in Lagos. "Woke" and over-liberal Yorubas, see where you have gotten us?

I was reading an article today that said upcoming election in the 28 Nigerian States of Nigeria featuring gubernatorial contestst on Saturday are peaceful and calm affairs bar Lagos which has taken on a do or die tone between Yorubas and Igbos over the political soul of the State.

Some of you Yorubas are self-destructive dullard who have no shame and no foresight.

Do Igbos live in Lagos alone? Kaduna , Abuja, Kano, Delta, Sokoto and many fairly cosmopolitan States in Nigeria are not there for Igbos to attempt governing?

It is Lagos they must drag because over-accomodators Yorubas have allowed them grow wings enough to the extent they believe they can foist an IPOB tout who cannot speak Yoruba, and has directly made bigoted statements against the Yorubas, as Governor of a Yoruba State?

Yorubas looking to vote GRV should bury their head in shame. I am a democrat who believes in recognising the democratic choice of others, however painful the conclusion of an election may be, but I draw the line at voting vile bigots and supremacists who want to lead people they have shown public and unambiguous hate and disdain for.

If only we could identify every Yoruba who will vote GRV on Saturday and deport you all to the SE for good, with no option of return, then perhaps that will reset you brain to make you understand there is nothing wrong with voting those different from you as long as they are not your haters who live to see your misery and downfall.

Voting GRV, for a Yoruba, is no longer democracy for the same reason New Orleans or Georgia in the USA will never have an openly proud and practising Ku klux Khan supremo as her governor.

It is for this same reason every sane Yoruba must grab their PVC and go to the poll to disgrace this Yoruba-hating IPOB tout who switches name deceitfully between Chinedu and Gbadebo while reeling off IPOB anthems publicly.
Gbadebo said in a recent interview I heard this week that he is going to cancel the Lekki International Airport, project and focus on MMA.

The Lekki Airport is a legacy project and this dude who just turned 40 this month cannot be allowed to destroy that Airport construction plan. The Lekki Free Trade Zone and the Lekki Deep Seaport are also the legacies of the current political party in Lagos State.

That dude is insidious and is indeed not fully prepared to be a Governor of Lagos State. Period.

The statement read;

“Oluwo expressed appreciation to Olodumare (God) for blessing my home with the handsome, promising child.

“Carrying a baby for months is tasking. I congratulate my queen on the arrival of a new child. She deserves accolades. I have strong trust in whatever comes out of her womb. The child shall be greater and be prosperous than me. Once again, congratulations to my beautiful, elegant, respectful and loving queen Firdaus.”

Very wise elderly man.
Whenever i see people talking down on this man. Especially the south easterners, I just laugh at the disrespect. I am not a fan of him, but he is one of the wisest and straightforward elder-man one can find anywhere in Nigeria today.

I remember few days after the declaration of the presidential result and Ezeife, an elder-stateman, a Cheiftain from the Southeast. Someone the younger ones should be looking upto was asked on AriseTV about his expectation of Tinubu's presidency and how he feels the south easterners should be represented. The only thing that came out of this man's mouth was: 'Tinubu will never be sworn-in, and if he is sworn-in, it means there will never be Nigeria, this country will sc@tter'.

So much hatred, contempt, disdain, venom in an elderly man like that. The mischieveous Arisetv host that probably planned the whole thing to heat up the already tensed emotions on ground by interviewing such person knowing too well his hateful nature was even trying to calm him down, he still refused in saying anything tangible. Except this country must break.

You can never measure wisdom by age. I wish the southeasterners can pay more attention to their elder-statemen who are fanning war and disunity, instead of focusing on what is happening the southwest.
Indeed.

Where’s his dad? It would be disgraceful to Yorubas, dead and alive, if that guy wins even a polling unit in Lagos.

I feel sorry for him because he might make people tell him his history because Saros aren’t even indigenous to Lagos. And they were expelled from Lagos and Abeokuta in the past - until they pleaded and were allowed to stay. Interestingly, in 2023, this guy is claiming Saros are the only bonafide Lagosians - rather than just contest and not open the Pandora’s box that will consume him.

The Yorubas in Igbo land, as Omoluabis, will never disrespect their hosts. There is no way Yorubas will ever call Awka no man's land even if they own half of the properties there, and the history of Awka will never be their business. They will respect whatever they met on ground.
