I just viewed the leaked video via the X link posted above for 5 times to get a hang of it.
The boy's description of the act was gross and graphic. Would this asinine boy be comfortable seeing someone do what he did to his female sibling(s), mother, or his future daughter(s)?
These are the questions all males have to ask themselves... "Is is kind? Is it fair?"

This young idiot will be identified if the video goes viral enough and I want to see that he is brought to justice for sexually assaulting a girl without her consent. Stiffer punishments such as chemical castration plus imprisonment with hard labor must be introduced for all cases of rape to minimize such cases.

Similarly, I saw Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I, who reigned from 1979 till 2016, leave his palace and travel many times.

Oba Erediauwa travelled to Ife not long after he was crowned in 1979. He went to thank the Ooni of Ife, Sir Adesoji Aderemi, for coming to his coronation (see first picture below). Sir Adesoji Aderemi, as a courtesy to his guest, allowed him to sit on the black leather chair (previously, only the Ooni sat on the chair).

Oba Erediauwa embarked on a thank you tour of Nigeria in 1982. He visited all the other 18 states to thank traditional rulers for coming to his coronation (Nigeria had 19 states back then). I remember watching his visits to the Emir of Kano and the Emir of Zaria on the news.

Didi Museum, the first private museum in Nigeria, was founded in Lagos in May 1983. It was founded by the engineer, explorer and art enthusiast, Dr Newton Jibunoh (in honour of his late sister). The museum was declared open by the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero and many traditional rulers, including the Oba of Benin, were present at the event. The second picture below shows Dr. Newton Jibunoh with then Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II and Oba Of Benin, Oba Erediauwa.

The third picture shows the governor of Oyo State, Chief Bola Ige, with Oba Erediauwa and two other traditional rulers. Oba Erediauwa served as the Chancellor of the University of Ibadan and he often attended university activities.
impressive.

In recent times a myth has circulated that the Oba of Benin does not leave his palace or travel. Similar myths have spread about other traditional rulers in the past. These stories are not true. I have been watching the news for several decades and I have seen each of these traditional rulers leave their palaces and travel many times.

Ọmọ n'Ọba n'Ẹdo Uku Akpọlọkpọlọ, Akenzua II reigned from 1933 – 1978. In 1950 the British Council invited him to the UK to study their system of local government. In the first picture below you can see him arriving the UK with his wife, Queen Idada (The Ohan of the Harem).

In the second picture below you can see him outside Buckingham Palace, where he met the Queen.

In the third picture you can see Oba Akenzua II at the wheel of a London bus, when he visited the London Transport Drivers' Training School at Chiswick, West London in 1950.

Because she has PCOS doesn't mean she won't be able to conceive. It just may be more difficult. PCOS is one of the most treatable causes of infertility. Most women with PCOS will eventually be able to carry and complete a pregnancy although some will need some medical help ranging from interventions like weight loss, ovulation induction meds, other meds, etc. It's good you already have a diagnosis now, that way, you're able to start working on it as soon as you marry, that's if you decide to proceed with the wedding. She's still in her 20s so age is on your side. I suggest you read up more about it to make an informed decision. At the end of the day sha, na your choice.

I am the 2nd born out of 2 children, my elder brother has been married for some time with no kids as a result I am super careful with issues relating to fertility.
I am in my late 30s and have been dating a 27 year old lady for 4 months now, the relationship moved so fast as she is a perfect match for me .
I have met her family and she has met mine, we are already planning marriage and have started counselling sessions in her church.

She complained of irregular periods so I told her to do a hormonal profile test and see a gynecologist, turns out she has got PCOS.

I have done my own fertility test and I am fine, I am at a cross road now, I cannot afford to struggle with child birth considering my age and also my only other sibling still also having issues with the wife also still trying to get pregnant after many years.

The only other option would have been to ask her to try for pregnancy before marriage but she is a virgin and wants to keep it that way till wedding, besides if I disvirgin her, how will I be able to walk away incase she doesn't get pregnant ?

I am at crossroads now, its not too late but walking away at this point will be very costly for me since we have already started plans towards the wedding and our families are already in touch.

My heart is heavy and I am confused, I need good advise as I cannot discuss this with anyone.

Hmm 🤔, she didn’t have to freeze her eggs now .

“Ladies Consider Freezing Your Eggs, Until Mr Right Comes” Uriel Oputa Goes Emotional as She Freezes Her Eggs At 35

Uriel Oputa, a popular reality star, freezes her eggs as she laments the fact that time is running out on her while she waits for the perfect man.

In an emotional video posted on her Instagram page, the BBNaija star visited a fertility clinic to freeze her eggs and save them for future usage.

Egg freezing, according to the UK’s Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority [HFEA], is a way of preserving a woman’s fertility so she can try to have a family in the future. It involves collecting a woman’s eggs, freezing them and then defrosting them later on so they can be used in fertility treatment.

According to the 35-year-old, it was a necessary step to take because a woman’s eggs begin to diminish beyond the age of 30, lowering her chances of having a baby.

“I’m creating awareness!!! Apparently by 30 the Quality of our eggs Reduce🥹 Ladies would you consider Freezing your Eggs? Until Mr Right comes? Creating awareness and educating myself and others. We walk on this health journey together.” Uriel Oputa captioned the video.

In the video, she stated in part, “It’s a hard pill to swallow; at this age I am now, my mother had five children. Time is ticking for me and I am aware, so I decided to weigh my options. If that perfect man doesn’t come now, I need to secure myself and nurture my seeds.”

It is not a perfect process . Read about a woman who froze her eggs and when she returned , out of the 5 , 3 didn’t survive the defrosting process , one was abnormal , the last one was fertilized but didn’t survive the implant into the womb . The woman was devastated .

She is better off having that baby naturally . Either through sex or sperm donor
Indeed... But then chances of success are much higher if the eggs are taken at a much younger age starting from the 20s to the early 30s. Then there is the issue of given natural birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome when a woman is over 30 years of age. The Fertility/genetic tests of eggs outside the womb before freezing can help with guaranteed success.

That's a very smart move from Uriel. There's nothing wrong in freezing the eggs at 35 years of age since they are still viable.

Let's hope some stubborn ones would follow the trend too and not have to resort to donated eggs from their female relatives and friend after the age of 40 when the eggs become less viable for spermatozoa implantation and fertilization.

@Aswani,
Very well said my brother. Thank you.

There are many fake monikers on NL, Facebook, X, and other platforms that are used to instigate hate speeches and for trolling. The Supermods too have to be more intentional in dealing with these fake NL accounts.

I was initially embarrassed reading Biodun's outburst. I guess it had to do with the accumulated annoyance with the way some Ibo irredentists have relentlessly defamed and falsified information about Yorubas for many decades, claiming falsely that Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, drank rat poison to kill himself as a result of a failed coup against IBB. As a witness to the events of that period when Awolowo passed on, NOTHING of such happened in 1987! Awolowo died peacefully and was given a national burial with eulogies from IBB and many more prominent folks.

Some of the younger generation of Yorubas have to be very careful NOT to bring themselves to the level of the known ethnic bigots here on NL and elsewhere who we have always condemned for relentlessly insulting other ethnicities and have refused to stop!
Even early this year, one of these Ibo Ipob members made two different viral videos where he viciously insulted the Oba of Benin and Edo youths because of the 2023 elections and he refused to apologize after Edo and Delta State indigenes warned and told him to apologize. I have those two irresponsible videos on my mobile device.

The Oba of Benin's Lagos comment was an error of judgement and not the norm. I sort of liked the respectful video rebuttal by Balogun of Eko, Oyeyemi Oshodi as well who himself is Yoruba of Tapa lineage (A Yoruba-Nupe lineage) and a direct descendant of Balogun Oshodi Tapa who was a Tapa Prince that was captured by Fulanis, and they killed his parents in the early 1800s and sold him into slavery. As he was about to be put on board the Portuguese slave ship on Lagos (Eko) Island which was a major slave port, he ran into the palace of Oba Esinlokun (Oba Kosoko's father) and Ifa divination ordered for his release, and he became a part of the palace workers taking care of the needs of the Oba's wives (an Oshodi) and the rest is history!

https://asirimagazine.com/en/lagososhodi-tapa-and-inverted-slaves-response-to-oshodi-tapa-family/

Aside from some outrightly false posts on Lagos and Ife history that I have read on Wikipedia and some Edo blogs, the Bini or entire Edo State folks do NOT cast relentless aspersions on Yorubas online and offline, so, there's NO need for anyone to insult the Oba of Benin who himself said on the day he was coronated as an Oba... clearly affirmed in the speech he read that his ancestor, Oranmiyan was the FIRST Oba of Benin (although he didn't stay long and returned to Ife with some of his entourage). Oranmiyan had a son by a Bini woman of noble family heritage. The son grew up and later became the SECOND Oba of Benin. The historical links between Yorubaland, the Binis, and Itsekiris cannot be erased.

Even in Ife, there is a grove called "Orun Oba Ado" where the heads of "every third" Oba of Benin was usually buried to signify the paternal lineage of the Oba of the Bini, while the other body part without the head was usually buried in Benin which is the maternal side. The same thing happened in Lagos Island where the heads of Elekos where buried in Lagos and bodies were buried in Benin to symbolize the paternal and maternal lineages.

Thanks for you positive feedback here.

The word 'founded' is wrong. Like the man rightly said in the video Aworis, ijebus, Nupes, and even the Tinubus (from Bornu) have been in Lagos before the arrival of Bini invaders
The Balogun of Eko, Abisoye Oyeyemi Oshodi himself (who is of Yoruba-Tapa or Yoruba-Nupe ancestry) got his history wrong towards the end of the video. The arrival of Tapas was in the early 1800s and his ancestor was a Tapa (Nupe) Prince whose town was raided by the Fulanis who killed his parents and sold him into slavery in the 1800s. While he was about to be taken into a Portuguese slave ship on arrival on Eko Island (which was one of the biggest slave ports in West Africa besides the other notorious one at Whydah in Benin Republic), he ran away into the palace of Oba Esinlokun (Oba Kosoko's father) for safety. Ifa divination was consulted and through the Ifa priest, Ifa instructed that the young Tapa Prince should be left alone and he was incorporated into the palace community and given the name Oshodi (meaning a palace staff). That young Tapa boy became known as Balogun Oshodi Tapa and their lineage is now of Yoruba ethnicity.

For those who don't know, Tapa is the Yoruba name for Nupes. Nupes have always been part of Yoruba history during the Oyo Empire, parts of the Tapa and Bariba areas especially in the current Kwara State were militarily conquered and incorporated into the Oyo Empire which stretched right up to the Atakpame region which is the current Yoruba-speaking part of the Republic of Togo.

Sango's mother was a Tapa woman while his father was Oranmiyan.

Oba of Benin is a nuisance for claiming Lagos belongs to them
@Biodun556,

You don't have to insult the Oba of Benin or call him a nuisance. Just make your clear corrections and move on. He (Oba of Benin) will learn the facts if he is corrected with love. As a career diplomat himself, he will realize his errors. Nobody can take Eko (or the larger Lagos State) away from the indigenous Awori-Yorubas, the Ijebu-Yorubas, and the Ogus. Period.

The Ooni of Ife too has committed a few glaring historical blunders in the past. They need a team of royal advisers/historians to guide them on what to say before speaking. The Royal families in Europe invest in advisers who teach them about history and politics.

The then Prince Charles (now King Charles of England) visited Lagos and Nigeria before he became King, and he spoke Nigerian pidgin English at an event to welcome him on Ikoyi Island in Lagos State. He was able to do that because he had a team of advisers who tutored him on what to say which would be socially acceptable to those he came to see in Nigeria.

Cheers!

Eko Island (Lagos Island) which the Oba of Benin was making reference to is NOT the same as the much larger Lagos State which only first came into existence among the 12 newly created states by General Yakubu Gowon on the 27th of May, 1967.

The Oba of Benin's team of advisers have to let him know the difference between these two landmasses of Lagos Island and Lagos State... and make the necessary corrections.

Asipa was an Awori man of noble heritage who aligned himself with the then Oba of Benin, and subsequently went to Bini. He had a Bini wife who gave birth to Prince Ado who become the King of Eko and this is a fact. Ado was of Awori-Yoruba and Bini parentage.

Subsequently, another ruling royal line came into existence and it still exists till this day. Period.

Descendants of Fubara Manila Pepple are still in Bonny, Jubo Jubogha left Bonny with many war Canoe Houses but his rivals which were Fubara Manila Pepple house stayed back cos they won they war (though they cheated by attacking before the agreed date).

This is common sense bro, two brothers are fighting over control of a certain land and one decides to leave to go somewhere else, will the other brother still join him to the new place?, so they’ll continue fighting?.

Oko Jaumbo, the Alabo of Fubara Manila Pepple house as at then had to send emissaries which were mostly white men to beg Jaja to return to Bonny after Opobo was founded (which Jaja refused obviously). So that means Fubara Manila Pepple house remained in Bonny.

The Fubara in Opobo might be a couple of Sub houses under the Fubara Manila Pepple house in Bonny or might entirely be another Fubara, not related by blood to the son of Perekule 1.

Let me give you a context, The present Amanyanabo of Bonny bears “Dappa” as a surname, where as the descendants of Dappa (Dapu, son of Opubo) are a royal Family in Opobo, how come he’s bearing Dappa when he should be a descendant of Fubara Manila Pepple , the only remaining royal house in Bonny after King Jaja left with Opubo Anna Pepple house?.
Politics › Re: I'm Full-blooded Ijaw Man And We're Bold, Courageous - Fubara Tells Critics by XAUBulls: 3:11pm On Nov 28, 2023
nyben231101:
There are only 3 war Canoe houses with the surname Fubara in Opobo ( Black Fubara, Ogbulu Black Fubara and Ogolo Fubara) and they are lumped up with 5 other War canoe houses ( Finebone, Jungo, Bupo (Duke Norfolk) and Gogo) to form the Dappaye Amakiri section.
A royal house cannot be lumped up in a section with other houses in Ibani tradition.
The Section with Bonny royalty status in Opobo is the Dapu Polo, direct descendants of Perekule 1 through Opubo, then his son and heir Dapu.
That is why the 8 houses under Dapu section are strategically located in all the satellite villages in Opobo, stretching from Kalaibiama( Doctor Dappa house, Brown Agent Dappa house) to Opuama ( Wogo Dappa House, Ada Tom Pepple House and Ibranga Dappa house) to Kalama ( Opusunju Dappa House and Tilibo Dappa House) and in Down below ( Kalasunju Dappa house).
When Jaja was incarcerated who was the regent chosen to oversee the affairs of Opobo?, ask who the “Perekule” was.
Very insightful history.

Point of correction brother, Opobo was founded mainly by the Opubo Anna Pepple group of houses (the reason why it was named Opuboama which means Opubo’s town) and a couple of other houses not from the 2 royal families in Bonny then, which were Fubara Manila Pepple house and Opubo Anna Pepple house ( The two sons of King Perekule 1 that survived the Bonny Vs Andoni war).
Jubo Jubogha then was the Alabo of Opubo Anna Pepple house and was in a bitter dispute with the head of the other royal house (Fubara Mania Pepple house) which was Oko Jumbo.

How will Opobo be co founded by Fubara Manila Pepple House when they were the reason why Jubo Jubogha Left Bonny (Okoloama) in 1869 after the bloody civil war?.

Also, mind you, there was nothing like “Jaja family” in Bonny, King Jaja had no war canoe house that he founded while in Bonny. He started floating war canoe houses under his Polo when Opobo was established, he vacated the stool of Alabo of Opubo Anna Pepple royal house which was renamed Wogo Dappa house under Dapu Polo section, 8 other war Canoe houses sprang up under the Polo before King Jaja submerged one into his Polo due to debt.

Darn!, you should pay me for this history class 😀.

The irresponsible info in that video above is clearly false and a pure case of historical revisionism of Bonny history by that narrator in the video and this will set the folks of that area up in arms against Ibo expansionist ideologies. Yes, during the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, there was Ibo slave presence in Bonny due to interior Ibo slaves being brought by the Aros and their Aro confederacy allies such as the Abams, Ohafia, Item, Abriba, etc. Some of the Aros also had trade outposts in Bonny and even King Perekule (or People) had an Aro wife brought to him by the Aros. The European and American historians clearly stated from eyewitness accounts in the late 1700s that Bonny was Ijaw and they acted as middlemen in the slave trade. Many Ibo slaves and those of other ethnic groups (even Hausas) passed through Bonny on their way to the Americas on European and American slave ships.

NOW, Dappa is a name that has been in use for decades on Bonny Island even before the 30 months (exactly 2 years 6 months) Nigerian Civil War of July 1967 to January 1970.

The father of modern Ijaw nationalism, Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye (an ex-Kings College Lagos graduate) had always used that name Dappa even before 1967 so what is ALL this lie by a young inexperienced YouTuber that Bonny people changed their names to Ijaw names after the Civil War in 1970? Clearly, some of the young Ibos online are not doing the larger Ibo population any good by spreading falsehoods.

Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye was the one who alongside Ken Saro-Wiwa and other Rivers leaders told General Yakubu Gowon in 1966 to create 12 new states and that was granted on May 27, 1967 after further nationwide consultations in 1967 with the indigenes of the new states. The southern minorities in the Old Eastern Region such as the Ogonis, Efiks, I Ibibios, Annangs, and Ijaws led by Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye rejected secession by Colonel Ojukwu 3 days later on May 30, 1967, and alligned themselves with the rest of Nigeria to fight the Ibo aggression and forcible annexation of non-Ibo areas into the illegally created country which was NOT even recognized by the United Nations because the larger percentage of minority ethnicities like the Ijaws, Ogonis, Ibibios, Annangs, Ekoi, Efiks, etc, REJECTED the Ibo-led secession.

This is why Nigerian Federal troops of the galant Third Marine Commando which was commanded by the then Col. Benjamin Adekunle, Alani Akinrinade, Jasper Adaka-Boro, etc, had many recruited Ijaw fighters in it and they were welcomed with open arms and wild jubilations during the liberation of Bonny, Port Harcourt, Calabar, etc, by the Nigerian Federal troops.

There are pictures in the war-time history books and online showing jubilation scenes by citizens in Port Harcourt during the liberation by Federal forces in 1968. Even the great Ikwerre-born author and Nigerian army officer, Elechi Amadi was rescued and freed from prison in Port Harcourt by the Federal troops of the Third Marine Commando.
