raymondFirstborn: The jaja family might have igboid roots. But the fubara family is a branch of the Royal Fubara pepple family of bonny. Jaja worked for the royal Pepple family which Fubara comes from. In that time jaja left bonny with some members of the Fubara family to set up Opobo kingdom. Till this day the Fubara family are king makers.
raymondFirstborn: Opobo was founded through the joint effort of the fubara pepple family from bonny and jaja family. The fubara family root extends all the way to bonny kingdom. While jaja might have been an igbo man. The Fubara family is core ijaw.

So if you have problems/questions about losing fat/gaining muscles, drop them here, and I will handle it. I will delve into the science of how food relates to your body. And guess what? for free.
Resees: I don’t know what is wrong with our people but allowing Simon Ekpan and his evil cohorts to continue destroying our only self gate in this world which is the entire IGBO land is really sickening. All we are doing this days is to pick words with the Yourbas who are actually accommodating most of our people. The Yorubas actually deserve some respect instead of fighting them. For the first time in many years this coming Christmas many Igbos will not be celebrating Christmas in south east all because of that useless idiotic Simon ekwensu ekpan… You people should stop supporting this useless animals from Ebonyi state and think about how to develop our region.
paramakina202: Asari himself said that his ancestor was sold into slavery by Aros, who are you to dispute him? His ancestor could have been sold for committing treachery or for being a thief.
Watch the YouTube version below of the viral Facebook live 2023 broadcast to get the true facts. Asari Dokubo's assertions that his male ancestor (Originally from Abam who became a Kalabari-Ijaw) was NOT sold as a slave, were very strong in that video, but he spoke the truth! For over 40 years now, I have read many classified European and American historical information on the entire Trans-Atlantic slave trade and what Asari said is historically accurate.
His ancestor from Abam was NEVER sold as a slave. He was part of an Abam team that worked with the Aros. He was part of the Abam and Aro team that went to Obosi on an expedition before the Kalabari King Amakri saw him and requested for him to stay in his palace. So, Asari's paternal ancestor was NOT a slave, but Asari admitted proudly (with his full chest) in the video below that in his father's maternal lineage, there was slave ancestry. That isn't surprising though as freeborn Ijaw-Kalabari men in the Niger Delta areas usually took some women of slave or former slave origins as part of their harem.
That's an explosive interview from Asari Dokubo setting the historical records straight. I originally watched the video years back and he was spot on about the events in that interview. Francis Opigo was the dude who suggested the use of Biafra taken from the area (now called Bight of Bonny) within the waters of the Atlantic ocean covering the Ijaw, Ibibio, Ekoi territorial waters in 1967. But it is well known that a vast number of Ijaws led by the Bonny Island-born father of modern Ijaw nationalism, Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye, Ogonis led by Dr. Ken Saro-Wiwa, other Old Rivers and Old Cross Rivers leaders of thought strongly rejected the secession that was declared on May 30, 1967 by the secessionist leader.
Last but not least, Asari Dokubo in a live viral FB broadcast of over 1 hour that I saw in July 2023 further clarified that his paternal ancestor was from Abam. The Aros and their slave-raiding allies in the so-called Aro Confederacy such as the Abams, Ohafia, Abriba, Item etc, historically NEVER sold one another into slavery, so it is NOT true that Asari's ancestor was a slave who was given to the Kalabari King Amakri. Asari affirmed that when the Kalabari King saw how tall, strong, and agile his male ancestor was, he requested that a message be sent to his parents intimating them that he wanted Asari Dokubo's male ancestor who passed on in the 1820s to stay in the palace with him and that was how that Abam young man became an Ijaw man through naturalization in an Ijaw environment.
Women, more than men, tend to feel stultified by long-term exclusivity—despite having been taught that they were designed for it. By Wednesday Martin
(...) Marta Meana of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas spelled it out simply in an interview with me at the annual Society for Sex Therapy and Research conference in 2017. “Long-term relationships are tough on desire, and particularly on female desire,” she said. I was startled by her assertion, which contradicted just about everything I’d internalized over the years about who and how women are sexually. Somehow I, along with nearly everyone else I knew, was stuck on the idea that women are in it for the cuddles as much as the orgasms, and—besides—actually require emotional connection and familiarity to thrive sexually, whereas men chafe against the strictures of monogamy.
But Meana discovered that “institutionalization of the relationship, overfamiliarity, and desexualization of roles” in a long-term heterosexual partnership mess with female passion especially—a conclusion that’s consistent with other recent studies.
“Moving In With Your Boyfriend Can Kill Your Sex Drive” was how Newsweek distilled a 2017 study of more than 11,500 British adults aged 16 to 74. It found that for “women only, lack of interest in sex was higher among those in a relationship of over one year in duration,” and that “women living with a partner were more likely to lack interest in sex than those in other relationship categories.” A 2012 study of 170 men and women aged 18 to 25 who were in relationships of up to nine years similarly found that women’s sexual desire, but not men’s, “was significantly and negatively predicted by relationship duration after controlling for age, relationship satisfaction, and sexual satisfaction.” Two oft-cited German longitudinal studies, published in 2002 and 2006, show female desire dropping dramatically over 90 months, while men’s holds relatively steady. (Tellingly, women who didn’t live with their partners were spared this amusement-park-ride-like drop—perhaps because they were making an end run around overfamiliarity.) And a Finnish seven-year study of more than 2,100 women, published in 2016, revealed that women’s sexual desire varied depending on relationship status: Those in the same relationship over the study period reported less desire, arousal, and satisfaction. Annika Gunst, one of the study’s co-authors, told me that she and her colleagues initially suspected this might be related to having kids. But when the researchers controlled for that variable, it turned out to have no impact. (...)"
Deep insights. This further confirms what I've known for years based on existing info in the public domain on male-female relationships and social conditioning.
To preserve the interest of a woman in a long-term romantic relationship... It would be better for SOME married couples to live a little apart (i.e., in apartments near one another). They can always stay together in the same house on specific days of the week, but maintain different houses or apartments if they can afford it. An alternative scenario would be to sleep in different rooms in order to keep things fresh! Women often say they want SPACE after several years of familiarity with a male spouse and taking care of the kids in a long-term relationship.
As the article suggests, unmarried males and females too should not live together for months but stay in different apartments to prevent the relationship from fatigue or boredom that sets in for especially females.
fearlesschicken: The University of Ibadan (UI), in partnership with two American universities, on Wednesday, announced the discovery of a permanent cure for the sickle cell disease.
The cure which was described as less risky and with a potential to help over 5 million Africans living with the disease, was the outcome of a research carried out by UI in alliance with medical experts at the University of Illinois and the University of Loyola, both in Chicago.
Nigeria and other African countries can now heave a sigh of relief as the University of Ibadan in partnership with the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA and University of Loyola, Chicago have discovered a permanent cure for the terminal disease. The cure of the deadly disease, according to the Professor of Medicine, Victor Gordeuk, who is the Director, Sickle Cell Centre, University of Illinois, Chicago, USA and his colleagues, Prof. Damiano Rondelli, also from the same university and Prof. Bamidele Tayo, University of Loyola, Chicago this new treatment is done through bone marrow transplant and that it is less risky. This was revealed yesterday at the University College Hospital, Ibadan after a three-day brainstorming session with other experts in the teaching hospital. Unlike the other conventional method of stem cell transplant which exposes patients to radiation which could cause cancer, first blood and marrow stem cell transplant, BMT, is much more effective.
The experts who were flanked by the Chief Medical Director, UCH, Prof. Temitope Alonge, Dr. Titilola Akingbola, an haematologist and Dr. Foluke Fasola, said this stem cell transplant is a standard procedure for the treatment of many blood cancers in both adult and children.
He said: “With this chemotherapy-free transplant, we are curing adults with sickle cell disease, and we see that their quality of life improves fast within just one month of the transplant.
“About 90 per cent of the approximately 450 patients who have received stem cell transplants for sickle cell disease have been children. Chemotherapy has been considered too risky for adult patients, who are often more weakened than children by the disease.
“Adults with sickle cell disease can now be cured without chemotherapy — the main barrier that has stood in the way for them for so long. Our data provide more support that this therapy is safe and effective and prevents patients from living shortened lives, condemned to pain and progressive complications.”
“In the new procedure, patients receive immuno-suppressive drugs just before the transplant, along with a very low dose of total body irradiation, a treatment much less harsh and with fewer potentially serious side effects than chemotherapy.”
“ Donor cells from a healthy and tissue-matched sibling are transfused into the patient. Stem cells from the donor produce healthy new blood cells in the patient, eventually in sufficient quantity to eliminate symptoms. In many cases, sickle cells can no longer be detected. Patients must continue to take immunosuppressant drugs for at least a year.
The CMD, Prof. Alonge who called for support from government, philanthropists, donour agencies and corporate bodies like banks and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for provision of equipment and completion of the sickle cell centre, described sickle cell as a disease of bone crisis which the patient suffers from head to toe.
He added that Sickle Cell Disease is a genetic disorder due to the presence of an abnormal form of haemoglobin in the red blood cells, called haemoglobin S (Hb S) instead of haemoglobin A (Hb A). Haemoglobin in the red blood cell is responsible for the transportation of oxygen in the body.
adamusuleiman1: Lagos needs to be decongested. If their governors governed their domains right, there won't be a mad rush for Lagos State and other parts of the SW region.
Imagine the stress not only on infrastructure but healthcare services, education, welfare e.t.c.
dominique: Lagos is too heavily popular not to have heavy traffic jams. That's why we're praying for development and industrialisation in other states so Lagos can be decongested. NewYork city should be on the list IMO
yommen: Are you this dumb? Before you make comments, try to do a little Google search so that you don't keep disgracing yourself because you just want to show off.
The Quantity of oil in Lagos alone is 13,000 bpd more than the quantity in the whole of SE not to talk of Ondo. The Quantity of oil in SW more than triples what you have in SE. See, Yorubas are not where you think they are o. Just because they don't boast like you do doesn't mean dem no get value o. Yorubas are far worth more than you think o.
Occurstaem: I guess to you Ondo State that is already part of NDDC oil producing state is in Benin Republic abi.
Indeed... Ondo State produces more crude oil and gas onshore and offshore via Ilajeland than all the South Eastern states' combined production. This can be gleaned from oil exploration and production data online.
Second, even Benin Republic has crude oil and gas offshore. The crude oil-rich Dahomey Basin runs from Benin Republic to Lagos State and it is within this region that Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Limited and their associates first struck oil and a huge quantum of gas onshore and offshore Lagos State in the late 1990s. Ibeju-Lekki, Badagry are parts of Lagos State that oil and gas was found during exploration back in the 1996 especially from the Aje-1 oil field located within the Oil Mining Lease (OML113).
ExclusiveBet: The celebrity logistic manager, Isreal DMW recounts how he was once dumped by his ex-girlfriend over a decade ago for being broke.
Isreal in a Whatsapp status reposted on the Instagram story by the socialite, Soso Soberekon, went down memory lane.
According to Isreal DMW, he was poor and had little to nothing to offer his then-girlfriend who dumped him for not being able to afford the sum of N150 as of 2021.
It is worth noting that as of March 2022, Israel DMW, the logistic manager of the superstar singer, Davido, has an estimated net worth is $40,000.
"She dumped me in 2001 because I could not afford the N150 she wanted then,” he wrote in the caption.
Milito: One of the major problems in Nigeria is the mindset that we can bribe our way out of any situation.
People deliberately go on a wrong path and afterwards try to use emotional blackmail or bribes.
There's no way if a proper search was done on those lands that it will not reveal that the place is under govt acquisition.
Whatever survey you are given for a land to be bought, abeg, carry am go lands bureau for verification or consult a land lawyer to do proper checks for a small amount of money. As at the time these lands were bought, i doubt it will cost above 50k to give a lawyer to do all the findings on the land.
People know these things actually. But they just form smart and settle some people believing money sorts out all issues. And that is why Nigeria is like this!
Hotice085: They know the land and locations they were building on were illegals, FG bought the entire land since the 70s but only built on phase 1 while phase 2 -4 were mapped and planned They bought the lands illegally thinking by building on it nothing will happen They have themselves to blame, the playground we used to play on that also served as green area, one importer and exporter bought it but we the residents took him to court and stop it He abandoned it and went to the buffer zone, now the property has been demolished. Most of the residents are very happy with this move
Lands and landed properties are the perhaps the best and the most expensive investment anyone can make.
However, before buying any landed property especially in Lagos and Ogun states, - kindly do the following amongst other due diligence.
1. Get a licensed surveyor of your own (not the one introduce by the seller) to take the GPS coordinate of the land,
2. The surveyor should approach the Ministry for lands and physical planning and apply for the authority to survey and the government charting of the area of interest.
3. Your surveyor should procure the documentary evidence of the status of the land to know the following.-
a. Is that land totally free from government acquisition or future schemes for development.
b. Has someone else applied for the same document in the past or currently processing ownership documents with the ministry.
c. Does the name on the land title correspond to the names of your proposed sellers.
d. Is there any lay-out survey on the government records regarding the area of interest.
e. Any other due diligence as may be necessary.
4. Get your own lawyer to interface for you, don't accept help from the sellers, - they are only interested in making their money.
5. Don't be hurried and don't ever be in a hurry to pay - the "omo onile" will call you repeatedly that someone else is about to pay for the land, - please resist the pressure.
6. When all due diligence are satisfied, pay only via cheques, bank drafts or bank transfer - they are easily traceable if so needed in the future - never do cash payment.
7. Take possession immediately, fence up the land and possibly build a shop or single room for someone to inhabit and keep the area clean - with necessary agreement documents, - of course.
8. Never leave the sellers in charge of keeping or monitoring your land - that's simply asking the mouse to watch the cheese - you know what will happen next.
9. Ensure that your surveyor process your land documents, The C of O or the Governor's consent papers are a must legal documents to ensure your ownership of the land. Get at least the Red copy of your land survey from the office of the state Surveyor-General before you start building.
10. Get a chartered architect and a registered building contractor, not just to do your building designs but also to procure all necessary building permits/approval before building.
11. In the unlikely event that you get notified that the government is interested in your property for whatsoever reasons - usually via notices pasted on your fence walls - don't ignore, don't be indignant, call your lawyer to file a challenge in court, immediately.
12. Don't ever say or think that because friends and relatives have bought lands and lived in the that area for decades, it simply means that all must be Ok, do your own due diligence.
All the above are quite important and pertinent now in the lights of the recent bulldozing and destruction of multi-million Naira properties by the government due to non-compliance to some government regulations.
adamusuleiman1: This was houses being demolished in 2022 in Ikorodu area of Lagos. Because most of the owners were Yorubas, there was no outrage like we are seeing now. No victim mentality like we are seeing now. Tinubu wasn't the president as as well..
dominique: She deserves to be arrested, is the caution fee worth the amount of damages she caused? How many months did she live there rent free? Tenants believe if they're given six months quit notice, they're free to live in the apartment rentfree till the duration elapses. How much did she stay without paying rent before finally moving out? The landlord must make sure she pays for every single damage caused, pay for the extra months she stayed then give her the caution fee. Insufferable people like these is why some of us are weary about building apartments for rent.
Well said!
Whoever she is... She's such an idiot for deliberately damaging a residential property and then going ahead to video it which is a criminal offence. Some people deserve to get charged to court to get their brains reset.
