I just need some cheek exercise or natural drink to make it slim like a models. I want to look like a model
Gurl, if your cheeks still look like those of the lady in the pics, then you've got nothing to worry about. For your early 40s age, you're cuddly cute with your natural looks and without makeup. My opinion on this is smackdown as a lover of art works and nature.
However, if you still want that super model look of Alek Wek, and more, then you'll have to lose some weight by eating less carbs and/or use fat burners. That's what some use to achieve that super model kinda look. On the other hand, you can grow more head hairs or wear wigs to give a less chubby cheeks effect. I have more tips for you but I'll stop here.
Jewessgratitud3: I just thought to share and again it's no bodys business what I share about myself here. I chose to do it and don't care if it sits well with anyone or not. My life, my share .
I'm sharing this just to let some ladies know that being a widower doesn't break a man and will not stop him from being an unrepentant cheat if he wants to. I used to think a widower will be more responsible and loyal to one woman considering the fact that he's now a second hand value bachelor and the death of his former wife will make him get closer and more committed to his spouse, home and family at large but I was wrong cos after my experience with one, I realized men will always be cheat men.
This happened in 2013 after staying away from relationships for a long time. So I joined Badoo ( it was the rave then, though I joined in 2012). A young man ( in his 40s then) chatted me up and I checked his profile. There he stated that he was looking for a lady for serious relationship and added he was a Christian. He was also looking very handsome and tall. We chatted and exchanged numbers.
When we got talking he told me he was a widower. It was hard to believe because he looked very young. He now told me he married very early. He went ahead and told me he has 6 children 👀👀👀. I didn't believe until he showed me their pics. 4 girls and two boys. He said the wife kept having children because she wanted a male child and died after giving birth to the last child, a male. She got home from the hospital after childbirth and started bleeding immediately and was rushed back to the hospital but never made it back. Meanwhile he was not in the country when this happened.
This made me have compassion and developed feelings for him. After a few months of inviting me over, I finally agreed to visit after he assured me the elder sister is staying with him to look after the baby ( he was already a year then but was not walking). He never liked the boy because he was always saying the boy caused his wifes death and each time the baby boy sees him, he'll be screaming due to the way he looks at the baby and I'll be telling him to stop, teasing him that it's him the boy resembles. So when I visited for the first time, I was shocked at what I saw. He actually owns the house he was living in in Sango. He built it when the going was good but after the wife's death, he came back and stayed for a whole year without a job. He just got the job he was doing as a hotel manager when I met him and his take home was not good at all. So to maintain the big house was a challenge. He could barely feed his kids. Even the two older ones were not with him. They were living with his brother just to ease him of the burden. when the sister saw me, she got angry and told him that he has not finished taking care of his children he's bringing in another lady. He told me to ignore the sister and face him. If I go there, I'll cook and serve everybody because he was always complaining of not having money but sometimes he'll give me part of the money I used.
Initially the children didn't like me and he said I should be buying them snacks. So then if I close from work, I'll go and meet him at his office and we'll go home together. I bought snacks and the children reluctantly collected the snacks. He went to work on that Saturday and I gathered the children and started telling them stories. They began to come close. When he got back he drove all of us to a football viewing center and bought me pepper soup. I thought I had found the right man. I was even saying I don't need to birth any children since he already has six. We'll just stay with his own children ( lol . small girl sense). He would tell me no, that he wants me to give him a beautiful daughter like me.
Six months into the relationship, I noticed something in his room while he was away at work. I saw a foreign prison card in his jacket I now began to connect the dots. I remembered him saying he was away when the wife died and while she was pregnant, he had problem abroad. So she developed BP. He even told me he wasn't around when his house was built that the wife supervised the whole thing before he now had a problem but be never told me what the problem was. I then discovered with the prison card, he was prolly in jail all that time. I didn't ask him anything.
Later he started telling me there's this single mother that has been begging him to marry her and she buys him stuff. I was like marry her now afterall two of una na second hand value. He'll laugh and say God forbid. That he wants chassis. The lady buys him and his children stuff. At a point I told him to stop collecting the gift or risk our relationship. He promised to stop.
One day he was sleeping and i was just going through his phone ( I never used to do that) and saw "my love". My head sparked. I woke him up with a heavy slap and showed him, he started saying its you I love. I said no! Tell me who this Is.. then I began to cry because I just knew it was over. He started begging and called his Aunty into the room. The aunty said the person is a family. I said call her. He now called the number and an elderly woman picked and he started telling her that I'm crying my eyes out here because I saw a message he sent to her. The woman spoke with me but I wasn't convinced. Throughout that night, he played "please forgive me' Brian Adams. hmm.. feeling nostalgic now. I calmed down and we continued.
After some months my chairman sacked me because I refused to go out with him and told him I'm in a relationship. After I lost my job I reduced my visits because bus fare from mainland to Sango was quite expensive and he too could not sponsor my visits regularly due to so much financial responsibilities and since I had been the one doing it when I was working. It became a once in a while thing.
Then one day, he told me to come to his office let's go home that he has missed me. I asked him, do you have money he said we'll manage. This man did not tell me we were going by train ( chai things we do for love) from his office we set out to oshodi. This man put head for train lane. I said waaaat t... I almost went back but it was already getting dark. I entered train for the first time. See me shaking. He had to hold me before one man now stood up for me to sit. Because it's been a while I've been to the house, when we got home, the aunty said you'll not stay in one place. Today you carry this, tomorrow you carry another one. I told him what the sister said and he told me not to mind her. In my mind i was like... see this second wen I dey manage too wan dey play ... I kept asking until he now confessed that the Aunt was referring to the other single mother that the lady has been forcing herself on him but it's me he wants. There and then I zeroed my mind.
After that visit, as we were going that morning, we quarreled on the way because the vehicle we borded got spoilt plus I wasn't happy after hearing what the sister said. So I was just edgy that morning and blasted the driver and some of the passengers. He got angry and left after trying to get me off the bus and I refused, saying I should run after him cos he's running late for work. I was just looking at him. I didn't get down. I waited for him to go far, I now got down and took another route to my house.
I didn't call for a week and refused to pick his calls because whats the point killing myself over a widower with six children who has refused to stick with one woman. When I eventually picked, it was my guy ( now ex) who told me to pick in the bus that day we were going to camp and he was chyking me. Oga kept calling and as usual I ignored him but the sound was disturbing our conversation so my gy told me to pick and hear him out. I picked and he was crying and put all his children on the phone to beg me. He said they are missing me and one of them is sick. I said ok, I'll call you later. That was it. I blocked him. Went to Badoo and blocked him there in fact I deleted my Badoo account. Deleted his number and ended the whole thing..
Men will always be men
Modified
When I said all men are the same what I'm simply implying is, whether they are poor, rich, widower or handicapped they will still cheat or have that tendency to cheat. Take it or get lost!
A man's vulnerability doesn't stop him from exhibiting those bad habits (cheating and deception). They'll will always do that thing that make us call them meennnn... If you know what I mean and if you don't Gerrit, forget abourit. .
Jewessgratitud3: How many even have birth certificate? I mean original, not forged. This tiny paper right here was given to my lovely parents in the 80s and handed down to me 28 years later and still intact. I Sabi keep things o.
As for the trolls age-shaming me. You can't shame the shameless and for those claiming I'm up to 46, here you go. Feed your eyes and know where and how to direct your dumb claims. I am proudly 42. If you're not ashamed of your age/ life, drop yours. If you don't have a skeleton in your cupboard, drop yours here.
Only someone with a shady lifestyle will be hiding everything about themselves.
Those i'm talking to know themselves.
Sad mortals
That's priceless. Keep the registration of birth document well and make more photocopies of it for safe keeping. I detest the falsification or reduction of ages which a significant number of folks back in Nigeria seem to engage in for whatever reason with impunity.

fadilaMaikiriki: Whenever I take milk, I tend to fart uncontrollably, like non-stop farting. Imagine you being with someone and the person is farting every three or five minutes. Honestly, this can be so annoying for the fartee and embarrassing for the farter.
The farts is the type that make the "ssshhhhhhhhhhh" sound. And sometimes the fart becomes noisy or vibrates.
Please, what can I do to remedy this? What can I do to stop the fart? It happens whenever I take milk. I take pap alot( infact I prefer pap to tea), and I take the pap with milk because I don't use sugar. Please, is there any alternative? Maybe a better milk that I can use for the pap.
Please, is there any one here who has/is experiencing this?
Or is it because of that particular company's product (milk)?
Has anyone here experienced this?
I would really appreciate your inputs, suggestions/opinions.
Thanks.
Human beings are the only species that still drink milk [cow milk] as adults and this shouldn't be. Other adult animal species don't drink milk. Get it? Good!

For every decade of Nigeria’s existence as an independent nation, music of Yoruba origin has dominated our nation, and now it is dominating the world.
•Bobby Benson, Adeolu Akinsanya, Roy Chicago, Victor Olaiya, S. Aka, Abibu Oluwa, I.K Dairo, Haruna Ishola, Yusuf Olatunji Tunde Nightingale Tatalọ Alamu, Ayinde Bakare, Dele Ojo, Ojogẹ Daniel dominated the 60's
•Abami Ẹda Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Orlando Julius, Sẹgun Bucknor, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Dauda Epo Akara, Ayinla Ọmọwura over dominated the 70's
•King Sunny Ade, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, Dele Abiọdun, Prince Adekunle, Salawa Abẹni, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Kollington Ayinla, Orlando Owoh Idowu Animashaun dominated the 80's
•Sir Shina Peters, Sẹgun Adewale, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, Adewale Ayuba, dominated the 90's.
•Paul Play Dairo shared dominance with a non Yoruba artist (Tuface Idibia) in the 2000's •D’Banj the Koko Master shared dominance with non Yoruba artistes (PSquare) in the 2010's •Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy (non Yoruba, but his music is obviously influenced by the late Fela Kuti) and Asake are dominating in the here and now. And not just dominating, but selling out stadia, like the O2 Arena and Madisson Square Garden, amongst others.
Their female artistes are not left out. Tiwa Savage, Yẹmi Alade, Aṣa, Simi, Teni, Seyi Shay, dominate locally and internationally with their girl power!
How do they do it, that even where they sing wholly or partly in Yoruba, their music is able to crossover locally and internationally?
Christy Essien Igbokwe was quoted as saying she would not have made a breakthrough in the music industry without her anthem Seun rere, which was performed entirely in Yoruba.
Throughout the Black world, no other ethnic group has been able to CONSISTENTLY breakthrough in the music industry internationally while singing wholly or partially in their native tongue.
I am not saying that some others do not sing in their native tongues. What I am saying is that they have not been able to crossover internationally while singing in their native language.
Caribbean reggae artistes sing in English or patois. African American R’nB, Jazz, Soul and rap artistes sing in English. Black Brazilians crossover with Portuguese. Francophone artistes (with the exception of Manu Dibango), crossed over with French. South African artistes crossed over with English (with the exception of Brenda Fassie and Mariam Makeba).
Even the world’s top Francophone female artiste (Angelique Kidjo), did not crossover internationally, until she sang in Yoruba.
There is something about that language and the musical genres that the Yoruba have introduced that can permanently put Nigeria on the world map for good.
BalogunWrites: "People come here all the time, they don't get picked... they all made it to the NBA. It's not where you start, it's where you finish."
The resilient spirit of falling countless times, and rising up countless time, regardless of life's darted sword is shown in "Rise." Not only resilience; but weaved with other virtues - love, sacrifices, knowledge, among others.
It starts with the emotional hum of Christy Essien's "Omo Mi Seun rere," (My child do good things) a dancing mother, Vera (Yetide Badaki) with her baby. Swiftly, to one of the most painful, and unsure sacrifices - giving her baby to another woman, leaving Lagos for Istanbul, Turkey, with her husband, Charles (Dayo Okeniyi) in 1990, and unsure of what the future holds for them.
Akin Omotosho's lens captures their horrible flights from Turkey to Greece through road, their struggles with the police, their love, their perseverance, and their resilience. Parts of the most intriguing scenes is when Veronica senses, and feels labour. She shows strength, and knowledge - some of the gifts a strong woman should possess.
Love, and other virtues continue through out the play as two brothers, Giannis, and Thanasis (the Agada brothers) share the same stage in the course of their lives without strife, or envy. Thanasis is a very good basketball player, but being injured, he left the team for his brother, Giannis, to lead.
Giannis isn't a good player, but with dedication, and hard work he taps into his higher being. He faces rejections, and discriminations of different spheres, but with the help of his parents, he was able to put the family on that map of greatness.
"They can knock us down, they can ignore us, insult us, they can tell us we shouldn't be here, call us names, but they can't stop us from getting back up." - Giannis
The movie starts to fall from when Giannis, and Thanasis start to build strongly on the legacy, and bricks their parent have laid for them. Things got easy through the help of Harris, and his American colleague.
At last Giannis showed his higher self to his travails. He was picked at the NBA draft, and this brings the movie to its rise, literally - winning is the joy of all games.
Disney has been at the top with quality movie productions, and "Rise" is nothing different, but a bigger one. The images, colour, sound, and visuals are perfect as it makes the story more beautiful. This makes it an art for function sake - the movie production performing a plethora of life roles on the viewers.
The direction is perfect too, as the use of the cultural costumes by most African acts in the movie flies their heritage. This also shows that there is a link between Africa, and Greece, culturally, as this dates back to the ancient times.
The mood, and tone of the movie could be said to be of resilience.
The title of the movie, "Rise" is a short but deep one-word that signifies strength. Remember Charles' words: "That's why we fall. We fall to get back up." And that's the spirit. "Rise" like other grass-to-grace movies points out that no man has risen alone. We need other humans to achieve our dreams. Asides this, even when angels come to help man, and one is not willful, then one fails.
"Rise" is not only about Giannis. It's about the Adetokunbos, how they were able to fight together, grow together, and win together. It's about love, and sacrifices - remember Francis had to live without his parents in Lagos for over 25 years. The family sacrificed themselves, and all they had in different ways, and times, just to shine together.
Of course, one would still wonder how these brothers, Giannis, Thanasis, and Kostas were able to be the first ever trio siblings to win the NBA championship - that's truly a "rise."

DyshApp: A Nigerian man named Okechukwu Azubuike has voiced out his criticism towards his fellow compatriots who marry older Caucasian women while considering Nigerian women in their 30s as too old for marriage.
His statement has triggered a heated debate on Facebook, with different opinions from both men and women.
In his Facebook post, he highlighted the apparent double standards that exist when it comes to age preferences in relationships.
He pointed out that Nigerian men often display enthusiasm and joy when involved with older Caucasian women, even those who are of their grandmothers’ age.
However, when it comes to Nigerian women, the same men suddenly deem the age of 33 as too old for marriage.
Okey Aliyu
There are 33-year-old and above women that have it going on for them in all departments.
Gerrard59: I agree with almost all, with a caveat. The aspect of being a vendor can lead to hasty generalisation, especially if it is well established business.
That said, the demand for their services is the reason for their presence and predominance. Nigerian men LOVE sex A LOT, and will spend any amount to have it. Demand does not exist in a vacuum: https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria
pansophist: Widespread prostitution, criminality, corruption and every other societal vices are symptoms of an extremely sick society. Look all around the world, the more fallen a society is, the high likely its social structure will degenerate.
Your solution of expecting men to voluntarily stop seeking sexual services will not work. It's like applying bandage to an internal cut instead of surgery. When a country is so corrupt that it doesn't give men hope, then men will seek pleasure, and sex is one of it.
More specifically, it's in women hands to stop prostitution, not men. It's why women are shamed more for being sexually loose compare to men. If all the sex workers that dress and go stand in the junction stop coming out, then men won't see who to pay.
Women are the gatekeeper of sex. They deny sex to men daily, such as the guys they ain't attracted to, their faithful simps, and friendzone brethrens. So why not deny the men that want to pay for it? It's the same dynamics.
For example, people always blame men that let a woman use him for cash and attention. you may scream till tomorrow that women should go and work, and that relationship is not a Poverty alleviation program. But it's not effective, except men stop bankrolling such women.
It is he, who is the giver/seller that has the monopoly to stop anything. When government wanted to ban okada in Lagos, they didn't start arresting paying passengers, instead, they ban okada and arrest any stubborn drivers who still choose to carry passengers.
For prostitution to stop, it's more on women, not on men. But a bigger solution will be for society to become better, so people can live a dignified life without selling their soul.
allsaint2000: Hookup refers to casual sex or uncommitted and consensual sexual encounters, usually done for financial gains.
To put it plainly, hookup is just a fancy word for prostitution.
Typically, there is an agreement between the parties involved on what the expectation of the arrangement is and the responsibility of each party.
Hookup has become a fast spreading culture in Nigeria that has been especially aided by technology. These technologies ranges from the plethora of hookup or “dating” apps, e-hailing cab services, online hotel booking, etc.
In recent times, an incredible amount of women ( single and married) have been indulging in this trend either openly or discreetly. While economic reasons are attributed by some for their involment in this trend, a good number do it to finance their craving for a luxurious lifestyle.
In this article, we highlight ten signs to shows that a girl is into the hookup business.
She stays out all night
A woman always staying out all night is an unmistakable sign that she is into the hookup business. Of course, the exception is if she has a job that requires her to work nightshift.
Church vigil is also an exception. However, don’t be fooled! Some use church vigils as an excuse to leave the house at night. They actually might have a skimpy dress and make-up kit concealed in their handbags!
The rise in popularity of dating and “Hookup” apps is one factor that has significantly boosted the hookup trend.
Some popular apps that are used for hookup include Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble, Badoo, Olosho, Bingdum, Zoosk, SnapChat, EverMatch, Ablo, SweetMeet, OnlyFan, CodedRuns, etc.
These apps or sites are platforms for finding partners for hookup activities. Finding a partner on them is as easy as swiping right on a profile photo. This has made the trend increasingly popular as a huge number of hookup females are registered on these platforms either openly or discretly.
Therefore, If you find any of these apps on a girl's phone, chances are high that she is into hookup.
She gets a call, dresses up in a hurry, and leaves the house
One good sign that a girl is into hookup is when she gets a call, and then proceeds to dress up in a hurry and then leaves the house.
When a randy fellow discovers a girl that he likes on a hookup app, he then contacts her. After terms and conditions have been agreed upon, this often prompts the girl to up and leave the house in a hurry.
The need for haste is often so that the clients does not change his mind – or connect with some other hookup girl.
That’s right – when you notice a girl scurry out of the house, especially in a provocative attire, and straight into a waiting Uber, she is likely off to a hookup venue.
She often posts pictures of hotel rooms on her status
After the hookup business has been concluded in a hotel, guesthouse, or serviced apartment, the client – especially the married ones – would depart to their homes, leaving the girl in the hotel room.
This period affords her the opportunity to take as much selfies as possible in the beautiful ambience that the hotel room provides.
Therefore, if she is always posting pictures or videos of hotel rooms or mirror selfies on her Insta-stories, WhatsApp status, tiktok, etc – especially when she is wearing white towels or bathroom gowns – then she is most likely into hookup.
She twerks on her whatsapp Status or tiktok Twerking, dancing seductively or posting obscene picture of her body on social media is a fantastic strategy for attracting patronage for hookup.
Posting sultry photos or videos on her social media account is bound to lure randy men on her contact list.
So if she does these frequently, then there is a huge possibility that she is hunting for patrons for hookup.
In big cities in Nigeria, hookup girls typically live in shared apartments. This is especially common in exclusive areas with close proximity to rich potential clients.
A hookup girl typically cohabits in the shared apartments with other females, who are often in the same line of business. This way, they split the expensive rents amongst themselves, which are paid either weekly or monthly.
In Lagos, these sort of shared apartments are common on the Island especially in places like Lekki Phase 1, Chevyview Estate, Ikota Villa Estate, Osapa London, etc. On the mainland, they abound in places like Festac, Allen Avenue, Opebi, etc.
She flaunts expensive stuff without any identifiable source of income
She is always flaunting expensive phones, hair attachments, bags, jewelries, etc but she has no identifiable means of income.
Chances are high that those items were acquired with the proceeds from the hookup business.
Hookup business is no easy business. It requires energy, boldness and fearlessness to deal with and have sex with strangers. To overcome these issues and to boost their energy and confidence, women in the hookup business often turn to hard drugs or alcohol.
So, a woman who is into recreational drugs such as Marijuana, tramadol, Colorado, shisha, etc is most likely into the hookup business.
She poses as an online vendor
Hookup girls often camouflage as an online vendors who sell clothes, jewelries, perfumes, hair, bags, etc. Some also claim to be actresses, social media lifestyle influencers, video vixens, makeup artistes, etc.
However, a keen observation would reveal that their inventories or type of work cannot possibly be the source of their expensive or luxurious lifestyle.
In the hookup business, a banging body attracts high patronage, especially from the big spenders. This is one reason why most women in the sex trade are often obsessed with the idea of enhancing their bodies by surgical methods.
If a girl is facinated by body enhancement, or she has undergone medical procedures such as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Breast augumentation, etc, she is most likely a hookup girl.
Bonus
She keeps an extra phone
A smart business move by hookup girls is to own a dedicated phone for the hookup business. On this phone, she advertises herself flirtatiously on her whatapp and social media account to elicit interest from randy clients.
Typically, none of her close friends or family are on the contact list neither do they have the phone number of this line. In this manner, relatives and friends remain unaware of her hookup activities.
Seizure of 8kg of Rohypnol... Damn it. More of that in tons must be in hiding right in the homes or illicit warehouses of these bloody criminals in some cities in Nigeria. TBH females have to be careful about drinking punch and other drinks at parties. When you leave your drink to go to the restroom, do not drink it again. Only the paranoid survive. Period.
I remember that Cynthia Osokogu (whose father was an Army General from the Ika area of Delta State) lost her life in 2012 due to being drugged with this notorious date rape drug in a hotel in Festac Town, Lagos by a gang of criminally-minded boys from Anambra State who she mistook for genuine business partners. She got raped and lost her life. The evil boys got a death sentence but it hasn't been carried out yet.
Mynd44, Dominique, Nlfpmod, this thread deserves a front page exposure.
Christy Uduak Essien and Amaka Igwe were well-known before they passed on and shouldn't be on that list. Right from the early 1980s we knew Christy Essien who acted the role of Apena in "The New Masquerade" on national television and she was also a fantastic pop star who sang fluently in English, Yoruba, her native Ibibio, and Ibo.
Christy was known internationally and I remember watching her back in the 1980s sing the monster hit "Seun re re" live on stage in the U.S. She received a massive standing ovation after that powerful vocal delivery. The Americans loved it!
Dagrin, Mohbad, and Oladips (pun intended) became more popular after their passing (minus Oladips of course).
Dagrin's rap songs were known to me before he passed on in that tragic car crash in 2010, but of all those on the list, he truly become more visible after he passed. "Omo Ogun" was dope with his Yoruba rap songs laced with English and pidgin.
Bump. This was 13 years ago, but eternal vigilance must be the key phrase as of 2023 and beyond to guard against attempted terror attacks at public facilities and airports like this.
real4life: Shock gripped the about 95 Abuja-bound Arik Air’s passengers yesterday when a taxi emerged from the blues and rammed into a B737-700 aircraft that was steaming on the tarmac, awaiting takeoff. The incident, Daily Sun gathered, happened in the afternoon at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar.
An eyewitness told Daily Sun that the Arik aircraft with registration number 5N-MJJ just arrived from Lagos and was loading passengers for Abuja at about 2:35pm when suddenly a taxi cab emerged from the Air Force gate within the airport and rammed into the belly of the aircraft. The witness further said some of the passengers who were still trying to board thought the cab in Cross River state blue-white-blue commercial colours was carrying one of those late travellers rushing to catch the flight but were shocked at the speed with which the driver turned quickly behind the aircraft and crashed into its belly where the fuel tank is situated.
At that point, palpable tension and pandemonium took over as passengers scampered for safety. When Daily Sun visited the airport at about 3:15pm the Audi 80 cab marked Cross River XA 254 KAM was seen lying under the belly of the aircraft with the bonnet badly damaged. It was speculated that the suspected terrorist was targeting the fuel tank of the aircraft.
Investigations by Daily Sun revealed that the driver of the taxi, which is not registered to operate within the airport, broke through the Airforce station’s two gates at top speed and in the process pulled down the gates and sped straight to the tarmac where the plane was getting set for takeoff.
The suspected terrorist, said to be in his 40’s who hails from Akwa Ibom State, is now at the Zone 6 Police Headquarters undergoing interrogations. As he was being led away from the airport by security operatives, the suspected terrorist was said to have displayed a rare courage that baffled onlookers as he shouted in pidgin. “Even if they kill me today, no problem, after all, that is how Jesus Christ was killed and he went to heaven. So I no care. I de launch war against ungodly people in our country and until we change the war go continue.”
Confirming the incident, the Airport Manager, Mahmud Sani, said, “it is true that the taxi driver came through the Airforce Base gates to carry out his dastardly act, but we thank God he failed in the process. For now, we are investigating the matter as the security operatives have taken over the whole airport for now.” In a chat with newsmen at the airport shortly after the incident, one of the passengers, Mr. Odiga Odiga, said, “ I was already inside the plane about to take off when the alarm came and we were told to disembark. Initially, we thought it was fire, and everybody scampered down but it was when we got down that we discovered that it was a cab right under the belly of the aircraft.”
Pilot of the aircraft, Simon Robinson, expressed shock like everyone else over the incident. He was in the cockpit when he heard the bump. Odiga, who is the chairman of Cross River State Forestry Commission, described the attack “as one of the security lapses at our airports.” He wondered how a commercial car broke through two gates of the Airforce station and got to the aircraft that was about to take off.
As at the time of going to press, Arik Air engineers numbering about four were seen battling to remove the car from underneath the plane while the company provided another aircraft that flew passengers to their destination. When contacted, the security operatives at the airport declined comment on the matter, saying ‘we are waiting for the order from above and we cannot talk to you now.”
However, Media Officer of Arik Air, Banji Ola, who confirmed the incident, said it was shocking that a taxi that is a non-ramp vehicle can gain access to the tarmac and hit a stationary plane. Also speaking on the development, the General Manager, Public Affairs of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Akin Olukunle said the incident was most unexpected.
According to him, the taxi, an Audi 80, apparently was on speed and surprisingly broke through the two gates of the Airforce security before running into the airplane. “The taxi broke through the first gate of the Airforce, broke through the second gate and then ran into the aircraft,” he said. Olukunle said FAAN immediately dispatched a team of policemen from the Bomb Squad Unit to immediately look into the car and ascertain if it was carrying a bomb or not. He also said the matter was still being investigated to know the motive of the taxi driver in order to know the next line of action. Arik Air, it was learnt, dispatched another airplane from Lagos to Calabar to fly the passengers to Abuja.
lol, So the terrorist is a Christian from from Akwa Ibom state, OK well noted
OboOlora: Baba I sabi Toke well. Don’t defend what you don’t know. She’s not less than 40, her younger sister is 39!!!
Just curious. Are you in regularly contact with both of them... I mean Toke and her younger sister?
I'm aware that she lost her parents to a horrendous gas explosion when she was 8 years old. A lot of personal family documents like birth certificates would have been lost there.
OboOlora: How’s Toke 38 when she was my senior in FGGC Oyo and I’m 41🤣🤣🤣
She's 39 years old as of 2023. She was born on 3rd November, 1984 in Lagos State but is originally from Ondo State. Yes, she could have been your senior, but 2 years younger than you! Some kids had double promotion in school and others skipped Primary 6 right into secondary school. She indeed attended FGGC Oyo just like you said before going to UNILAG where she read English/Literature.
finallybusy: Toke is always shifting her age depending on the weather. I’ve seen her claim 34 (as at 2023) to 39. Something tells me she’s no minute younger than 41. Sha, her word against naysayers. Only Maje and her former classmates know her true age.
She was born 39 years ago on the 3rd of November, 1984 in Lagos State but is originally from Ondo State. She lost both of her parents to a horrendous fire incident from a gas explosion when she was 8 years old.

Swiftgrp: There is NO distortion here, but SIMPLY facts of history are being stated because I'm an OG with a vast knowledge of Nigerian history. I've been a member of NL since 2005 with an older moniker so I can completely give the sequence of events of what happened. Many of the young Peter Obi LP supporters used to be strong members of the PDP and they were the ones who launched vicious attacks online attacks for PDP against ACN/APC and other political parties even before the 2011 that you quoted on NL. In 2011 right up to the 2014 election cycles, these political and ethnic hate attacks escalated into the vicious back-and-forth being witnessed today. Even after the Ijaws of the Niger Delta had moved on after the 2015 elections, a lot of mainly young Ibos still carried hatred for the then President Buhari of Nigeria under APC control due to the Ipob vicious indoctrination and propaganda.
I CLEARLY stated in my post that you quoted that for over 20 years (meaning right from the 1970s to the early 2000s till now) a group of Ibos have always ENGAGED in criminal defamation, hostility and propaganda towards Yorubas, Hausas, Edos, Ijaws, Ikweres, Middle Belt folks and other Nigerians over the events of the exactly 2 years 6 months [30 months] Nigerian Civil War which lasted from July 1967 -January 1970. You are here bringing up links to Nairaland posts that were made in the year 2011 when infact these online hate speeches have existed long before then from the 1990s to the early 2000s and these facts would NULLIFY most of the weblinks you posted.
Long before Nairaland was created in March 2005, irredentist Ibo secessionists websites, Yahoo! Groups, and discussion forums were created in the late 1990s to the 2000s to INDOCTRINATE Ibo youths with hate towards other Nigerian ethnic groups and distorted historical events. I used to visit those Massob and other mushroom pro-biafra secessionist websites to read all the hate and outright lies or half-truths being churned out. Some of those websites from the early 2000s still exist in cyberspace with all the rabid hate those Ibo youths were spitting. These past online evidence going back to the 1990s will be used in the Nigerian OR international courts of law of it comes to that to combat these lies and hate-filled propaganda. Those secessionist Massob websites were the forerunners of the Ibo-owned Ipob hate speeches that started In the early 2010s before 2015 when GEJ left the scene.
You also have IGNORED or forgotten in your quick attempts to disparage some prominent folks that it was even a large number of prominent Yoruba folks and other Nigerians especially from the South who mobilized in Lagos and Abuja insisting that Goodluck Ebelema Jonathan must become the Acting-President of Nigeria after Yar'Adua became indisposed. Professor Wole Soyinka, The Save Nigeria Group of Tunde Bakare, Femi Falana, SAN, Yinka Odumakin and many other Yoruba pro-democrats rose up in 2010 when former President Yar'Adua was very ill to speak out for sustainable and true democracy which finally led to Goodluck Ebelema Jonathan's coming onboard as the Acting-President.
The reason Prof Wole Soyinka was upset and pained about former President Goodluck Jonathan towards 2014 as reported was NOT as a result of ethnic bigotry but simply because of the massive rise in nationwide insecurity as exemplified by the kidnapping of the Chibok girls by Islamist terrorists and the insecurity in major states in the South West due to the activities of Ijaw pipeline vandals in Arepo in Ogun State and the creek areas of Ikorodu, Epe, and Victoria Island in Lagos State who then turned to brutal armed robbers, killing, raping and kidnapping for ransom [including a first class Oba in Lagos was kidnapped].
It was when former President Buhari came onboard that he ordered the Nigeria Airforce jet fighters in 2016 [with the aid of reconnaissance aircraft], to bomb the many camp hideouts of the vicious Ijaw militants in the creeks of Arepo, Ikorodu, Epe, moving right into Ogun Waterside and coastal area and creeks of Ondo State to decimate them and since 2016 there has been peace in those areas. Professor Wole Soyinka was just one out of millions of Nigerians who where angry with the way Jonathan mismanaged corruption and maorly insecurity in Nigeria after so much hope was put in him, so he was voted out in 2015. So it was very wrong of you to single out only Prof. Soyinka for demonization when there were millions of Nigerians who felt Jonathan's performance was way below par in especially the area of security and wanted him out.
"Lagos State Politics" It was the young lady named Sissie Yemi who posted an offhand sarcastic claim online about some Yoruba folks and facial looks or skin complexion during the 2023 election in just a tiny part of Lagos. I READ her original online post and it was worded differently from the FAKE news and fictitious lies being bandied around online by certain very notorious Ibos falsely claiming that Yorubas who were light-skinned and looking well-built were prevented from voting. This is the most insulting and ridiculous claim anybody can make! The Yoruba folks are more than 50 million worldwide and there are Yorubas with different shades of brown skin complexions from dark brown to naturally light-skinned.
NOTE: General Alani Akinrinade and Saka the famous multilingual Nigerian movie industry actor and senior lecturer are two of the most prominent Yorubas who are naturally light-skinned and there are thousands of Yorubas who are light in complexion based on family genetics. Many other ethnic groups have light-skinned family members in every part of Nigeria. NO Yoruba man or woman would ever SEGREGATE his fellow Yoruba kith and kin based on light or dark brown body complexion or body build or facial appearance or say they should NOT vote! Rather, ID card verification or deep questions would be asked by Yoruba folks when conversing or trying to identify a person who claims to be a Yoruba or NOT. So, the fake story being pushed around by the propaganda machinery of some of the Ibos during the election cycle against the Yorubas who are a major ethnic group in Africa of over 50 million people who are indigenous to 4 countries in West Africa (Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, and Ghana via the Ga people and naturalized Yorubas of Ghana and even Cote D'Ivoire) will NOT stand. There are thousands of Ibos from Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi that I have seen from decades past who are NOT light in complexion but dark skinned, so skin complexion is essentially based on family genetic. I noticed though that parts of Imo and especially some Umuahia folks have this very light skin complexion but NOT all of them.
Some notoriously dishonest Ibos have formed a very vicious habit of throwing the first stone, while taunting others, then when there is a strong backlash or response, these people start shouting and playing the VICTIM. Unknown to these young folks, there is a vast documentation and digital evidence of every bad thing Ibos have posted for years online before even Nairaland was created and these would be used to knock the winds out of the sails of these criminal defamations, ethnic bigotry and propaganda. It is even shameful that these group of Ibos copy and paste false propaganda materials from those hate-filled Ibo owed websites, social media platforms and paste them here on Nairaland and they carelessly leave a trail of evidence of their defamatory activities online.
rottennaija: 🇷🇺🇺🇸 US imports of Russian fertilizer hit record $944mln
Russia was the US' second-largest supplier of fertilizers this year, the largest supplier being Canada, which exported $2.8Bln of fertilizers in seven months. Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar make up the other top five countries from which the US imports fertilizer.
So the US has forced European countries to impose sanctions and plunge their economies into recession, while the US trades with Russia as it sees fit, just as if there were no sanctions.
