Family › Re: Should I Meet Her Biological Father Before Paying Bride-Price To Her Step-father by xavuv: 9:00am On May 31, 2023 |
MetaBroadband: Good morning mature men and women in the house. Please I need your help on this topic.
My Fiancee told me about how her biological dad abandoned her and her mum after getting her mum pregnant.
Her mum later married another man who adopted her as his child.
Now she's grown and I've proposed to her, I wanted to go for her official introduction and list collection.
Would it not be nice to hear the biological father's opinion? Should I just ignore the fact that the man is still alive and proceed with the marriage arrangement?
Although she said I should not bother about that, but this is Nigeria and as an Akwa Ibomite I don't think it's proper. Although she's against me trying to find out about the man's opinion. Should I care?
What can you say about this?
Note: she only told me that the man abandoned them, but what if it was her mum that actually took her away? If i were you,i would discard the lady and mother together. What bitterness! They should let you go and see the biological father, just to show face and rub minds. Even the step father should come in and make them see reasons for you to go and see the real father. Such a fiancee is full of bile, understandably implanted in her by her mother. That bile will still be there for you to wrestle with when your time comes. She will show you shege. |

Godoverevery: Am tired .....like it really disgusting and irritating.
You can't even be on SM in peace again.
I wish I can just screen shot my FB chat here.......90% of Nigeria ladies are now beggers.
How did we get here Out the blue someone will just text you and start telling you. Her gas have finished Her mother is sick Her house rent is due Her birthday is tomorrow...Etc
You mistaking hi them and boom billing is the next thing.
Some will meet you were you want to get something and start begging you to buy things for them also.
Just this evening (a full grown adult) someone I barely know is begging me for data lying to me she want to use the data to send money to a client meanwhile she will waste the data viewing tik tok and Instagram.
Why is begging now so convenient for majority of our ladies?? Where is the contentment and self respect ?
Why is it so convenient be begging total strangers rather than ask people close to you for assistance.
Single mothers own is another case entirely......majority of those one are just something I can't describe.
No lady should come here and give that BS of is guys disguising to be female doing those things......we guys ain't that stupid not to know fake profiles.
Nigeria govt needs to do something about this trend cos our ladies are now becoming a thing of mockery.
How will a guy respect you as a lady if all you do is beg beg beg. Be grateful to God that you among the previdleged. Stop whining like a toddler |

DownTime44: I can't leave my younger siblings and mother with that my brother. I don't think they are safe living together with that my brother without my presence.
My mum has prayed and fasted on his behalf several times. Let me tell you something, my mum and late father were Muslim. We're originally from a Muslim background. My mum converted to Christian because of this my elder brother. He was seriously ill when given birth to him. They took him virtually everywhere but there was no remedy. It was our neighbour according to my parents that introduced christ to them. They came through my dad because my mum was a devoted Muslim then. My late dad had to convince my mum to take the little boy to church having gone virtually everywhere already but the sickness still persist. It takes God intervention before my mum took him to church and he recieve healing truly. My mum made a vow without being told nor compelled that she and her family will serve Jesus Christ throughout their life time. She automatically converted to Christian before she gave birth to others including me. We're known as Christian. We do go to church. Although my dad barely go to church but we do pray together as one family when he was alive. He has his own bible he read daily and he believes in Christ. Gbam! |

Hmm
Mr downtime,
Someone earlier said that your mum and dad (but he's late) are in a better position to find a solution to your brother's issue. She knows things you don't know.
This is also a sign that there is nothing you can do to help him. |
Family › Re: Why do most abroad nd successful Nigerians do this? by xavuv: 8:21am On May 22, 2023 |
JeffreyJunior: It's because they are stating the reality which is obviously affecting your understanding of obodo oyibo.
Many people in Naija today believe that traveling abroad will solve their financial problems overnight and when those who were once in those shoes and have now seen it all try to correct that notion, they fail to see the big picture and hold on to your own age long conclusions.
This is why a lot of our people are trapped in several countries especially in Europe because they failed to have a closer look of where and most importantly, why they are traveling abroad.
I'm not saying someone may not be intentionally discouraging you from traveling abroad but there is sense in every nonsense, focus on the sense. A-Z, Well said |
