Because you bought a fake electronics from Alaba market doesn't mean all the traders at Alaba sell fake products and therefore does not warrant you going about telling everybody you know not to buy from Alaba market that they sell only fake products.


China that the whole world is buying from also sell good and fake products, does that stop Americans, Europeans, Asians, Arabs, etc from buying from Chinese markets NO!!

This is what I have been saying.
Many Nigerians hate Nigerian products and demand unreasonable standard from them.
These same people will buy fake products from Amazon and blame the seller instead of amazon.
Then, they will go back and buy from Amazon again.

But if was a Nigerian company, they will do everything to bring it down.

You are right about your experience but I believe that the financial problems
of Nigeria's online retailers goes beyond customer service.

I responded to your post because similar messages have been posted several times
about Nigerian retailers when they are neither better nor worse than their foreign counterparts.

I hope a stable and profitable one will arise in the future.

I don't think you can get it.
Calling someone a thief even if you caught them stealing items in your house can get
you jailed.
You might think you have "proof" but a lawsuit and remand will clear your mind.

Even if you complain that your governor refused to repair a bad road, you can be jailed
cyberstalking. It doesn't matter if the road is bad and si still bad. "Proof" as you think you
know it is meaningless when someone wants to make you an example.

To your tormentor, the final verdict doesn't matter as long as you spend months even years
in prison while awaiting trial.

The Nigeria Air force is part of the Nigerian security force.
They are actively involved in various security campaigns.

Even if this man has never participated in any security mission(which will be a serious indictment on his promotion),
he is still responsible as part of the force leadership.

Of course, the blame lies mainly with the "commander in chief" under whose regime Nigerians are being
attacked on airways by bandits and marched into the forest and valued like animals just like the days of the slave trade.

I understand why you would term " Trains ride or Rail way services" as not essential because we live in a country like Nigeria where we get the barest minimum and make do with it. Imagine what would happen in a city like New york or Beijing if all the train stations are to go on strike. The city would be on turmoil. More than half of the work force in these cities depend on trains to get to work every day. In new york an average of 5.7 million people use the sub way per day. Now imagine if this option is taken away from them and they have to make do with roads, do you know the chaos that would cause ?

The fact that you had to leave Nigeria to support your position shows that I was right to begin with.
Rail travel is not an essential service in Nigeria. For the road travel that is essential, the government is
not even a major stakeholder.
The only way forward is to privatize the Nigerian railway.
The subsidy saved can be used for better development projects.

In addition to uninterrupted power and ID database , I think government should collect and own all lands , and abolish freehold land ownership . Lands should be sold in large acres to building developers and/or custom built home owners that meet the building codes. Lease the lands for 10 to 20 years with option of renewal,plus ,strict building codes .
I think the current system of freehold landownership is one of the reasons Nigeria is disorganized and underdeveloped .

A train ride falls under transportation, and transportation is one of the essential sectors of Nigeria. Speaking essentially, let me put it into perspective for you, for a country and a mega city which wishes to develop, it is important it has good rail network. If there are good train networks in Lagos today, 50% of traffic congestion would be solved. Now talking about privatization, it is not a bad idea, because it will help drive efficiency, but right now i think it ought to be left to the government to develop and build rail tracks first and as time goes on it can then allow private trains operate on government tracks, just the way there are private airline companies and road transport companies. that way, government still maintains majority control.

As long as there are reasonable alternatives, it is not essential.
Railways stations were dead for several years, that didn't cause a calamity.
Some states don't even have any rail tracks.
You talk about "important". But important is not essential.

The government currently subsidies rail transport which shouldn't be so.
The government may continue building tracks but the management should be handed
over to the private who can make it profitable.

Their services are relatively poor and their delivery agents are somewhat unprofession. They have a habit of begging for tips and sometimes unofficially rescheduling deliveries. Also on several occasions, my orders were cancelled without notice. I got sick of them and moved to Konga. I have made so many purchases on konga and have never been disappointed.

Konga that you so much praise is losing money badly and have changed hands due
to financial difficulties.
