Did he hit you on purpose? No, it was an accident. A good Christian would have at least checked on him. LegendHero: Sorry OP for what happened to you.
But I think you’re profiling those guys here and looking at this through an ethnic biased mindset.
It’s a normal thing for Okada drivers and Taxi drivers to rally around and support themselves irrespective of whether their members are right or wrong. It’s not unique to any tribe or religious association.
Either they are Yorubas, Igbos, or Hausa, most of them will always toe the path of their member because they know if it’s their turn tomorrow those guys will show the same solidarity.
While I agree with you that some of the okada northerners are hostile, on drugs, and most times dogmatic such that they don’t like shifting ground, I can also tell you there are some that are friendly, down to earth, and truthful.
If it had happened in the East, with an Hausa man in your situation surrounded by Igbo Okada riders, what do you think would have happened? In all honesty, don’t you think they will toe the same path? See them blaming the victim as usual. This is not a hit and run. An irresponsible biker caused an accident in which he got seriously injured. It happened in broad daylight with the as a witness. If his brothers who are ready to kill for him can't help him, why should the victim? The only mistake she made was getting up on time. |

The food in itself is overrated in my humble and dietary opinion.... Some outside Nigeria would think rice is the sole meal that keeps us alive in this country. The rice in my house lasts longer than any other food, cos I would rather eat swallow, bread, beans, etc than the unnecessarily hyped carbohydrate source.

Politics › Re: A Critics Take On The Land Borders Closure by Xisnin(m): 7:47am On Nov 15, 2019 |
EmekaMD: I've been mostly a critic of this administration, and i believe my critics has been for the right reasons.
But on the land borders closure: i stand with the Buhari administration on this. I have often wondered what it means to be a critics in Nigeria. But all I see are opportunistic attacks, there is hardly any criticism based on principles. You'll agree with me that fake and substandard (mostly contraband ) products make their ways into the country mostly through the porous land borders. Were still, these products are produced outside of Africa and the import taxes are collected by the neighboring countries yet they are sold in Nigeria. No. The borders are mostly used to smuggle food items, not fake industrial products. Fake products, whether drugs or electronics come in through the seaport. I know how easy it is to bring in any product that is not banned through the sea. Anyone familiar with importing already knows this. Secondly .. activities of the Fulani marauders and murderers have either abated or disappeared since this land borders closure. You may want to contend this but my observation seems mostly accurate. This is totally wrong. At the height of the Fulani attacks, were you or any of your family members a victim? The answer is no. Then why do you attempt to make light the problems of people you don't even know? The Fulani brazen attacks ended with 2019 election. However, bandits have not relented in their attacks and kidnappings. Abductions occur daily on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway and a lot of people have turned to the trains for security. It is sheer arrogance to stay in Lagos or Anambra while telling victims up north that their problems is solved. Thirdly.. very few Nigerians (mostly corrupt border officials and the businessmen who ply ply these borders) are mostly the people complaining . Average Nigerians may be having it hard for now too (cos of high market prices), but I'm positive that the "demand and supply" natural market policies would evntually effect some positive changes when local production is driven high as a result of this closure. Very few Nigerians? Really? When exactly did you take such survey? It is funny how people like you complain about the government while having a more wicked mindset towards your fellow citizens. Do you really think local government workers who earns 12 to 15k are happy that foodstuff prices have gone up? Are the market women themselves happy that their profit margin has shrunk? Who exactly are the majority non-corrupt Nigerian who are happy with the border closure? Any government which prioritize the welfare of an insignificant percentage of the populace(rice and poultry farmers) over the majority is pure evil. Buhari would eventually open the border, one way or another. He has not learned that the economy is not the army that you can order around. I will be here when those who support the border closure will turnaround to praise him for being a "listening" president. |

In as much as im not in support of The Federal Government, the problem is a large number of senseless youths on Social Media who cannot define the common boundary between senseless talks and constrictive criticism.
Some comments sucks. Because some of the us were giving nothing to say either by their actual environment in life, the school system or our parents. Which is why today we have a Government who feel they can do anything and get away with it You made no sense. People are free to say nonsense whether on social media or in life interactions. Just because you don't like a comment doesn't make it wrong. Many people also think your comments suck. Would you like to go jail or be hanged on such subjective points? The question is whether what they say is illegal to begin with. We already have laws against libel to cover that. If you asked the proponent of this bill to define "hate speech" and give examples in the Nigerian context, they can't. |

Abandoned the statement own gas turbine and in his 8years of rule, a particular local government has not seen light for 8years. Increment of state own university fee. Sacking some women that were employed by alamiesiaye, Gej, Silva from work. The killing of amassoma youth. Cutting of civil servants' salaries. Closing down of the rice farm initiated by Silva which rendered so many youths that were employed into the sector jobless. A robber industry that was established to cope with the issue of unemployment was also closed down by Dickson. Disregard to the elders that brought him into power and single handly picking the flag bearer and it deputy by not consulting or asking for the opinions of the founding fathers. Picking both the governor and its deputy from just a region without considering the epie, ogbia and the nembe. Dickson has to go All these are meaningless in the scheme of Nigerian politics. If you dedicate your time to it, you could find a similar or worse record for any elected governor. The godfathers of any state determine election winners. The result may be skewed by presence of federal forces. The people who complain the most hardly votes due to fear or indifference. Of course, they would always claim victory if their prediction was right but hide their faces otherwise. If Dickson's candidate loses, it would have nothing to do with his performance in office but the big men he offended. |

Pafoma: Guys! I need serious, real and honest contributions.. Thanks to all that will contribute.
I have a lady whom i am dating. I truly love and care about her but she has been with people that are in my circle and this disturbs me. She didnt used to be a straightforward and totally faithful person but i see that she is making efforts towards being completely honest and straightforward but still i dont have rest in my spirit about taking the decision to marry her.
I have observed she is soft with guys and is not firm, although i am aware it takes time for someone used to a particular pattern or lifestyle to adjus. I need help because breaking up with this lady will mean that i have to look for someone else to start the entire circle with again and who knows what if the new one also comes with even worse baggages.
My questions are these
1. What do you advice i do? 2. Who has been in similar situation where you fell in love with a lady your friends and circle have been with then married her? What was the experience like including things to look out for.. 3. How can be sure i wont regret the decision to go forward?
Please feel free to ask me any question and i’ll answer if they are not sarcastic or jokes..
Thank you. You knew this from the beginning right? You pretended as if everything is fine until now. Your decision has nothing to do with love, you wanted something from her and have gotten it. The way forward is to break up with her immediately. If you wait longer you will end up with a vengeful ex primed to destroy you and you would deserve whatever hatred comes your way. It is evil to continue a relationship you are not comfortable with. If you decide to marry her, you will spend your entire life living with suspicion and it will be nearly impossible to be happy. Never marry someone who you are not comfortable with their lifestyle. |
