Listening is not a concept and idea that is unique to everyone. Some people cannot just listen to you when you are talking to them. They simply lose concentration. This is why there are so many complaints about people finding it difficult to understand each other in a relationship because they do not listen. Well, if you are not a good listen, you are in luck! Jumia Travel shares tips on how to become a better listen. Listen to learn Certain individuals listen just because they want to be polite. They are not interested in whatever you have got to say. Hence, they are right there with you but their mind is somewhere else. At the end, when you ask about what you said, they are lost. Put your phone away Smartphone has always been a distraction when people are having a conversion. So, to become a better listener, get rid of your phone. Wait until the speaker is done talking Do not interrupt a conversation. You should give that person the opportunity to finish expressing his or her opinion before you respond. During the period he/she is talking, you will be able to process what they are saying and give a more concise and intelligent reply. Make eye contact and smile Oftentimes, when you make eye contact with whom you are speaking with, it shows that you are paying attention. This will prevent your mind from wandering off the conversation. Do not make assumptions Do not try to anticipate or predict what your friend or colleague wants to say, you may be wrong. So, wait for them to express their thought and you will be surprised that it is different from what you are thinking. Give replies that show you are listening Your replies and responses must tally with whatever you are listening to. You should do this if you do not want to speak out of point, you should listen. http://fabinfos.com/6-ways-better-listener/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique |

The National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, has denied reports making the rounds on social media that it has mandated all prospective corps members to undergo a compulsory medical checkups amounting to N11,000 before going into their various camps. The report has been on that the management of the scheme had demanded that all PCMs are to compulsorily present a copy of their HIV, genotype, blood group, HBsaG, PCV, HCV, and Urinalysis. The report has equally claimed that it is expected that the registration and phone number of the doctor in charge of the test appear on the certificate for verification. The report further claimed that this information was passed to the prospective corps members during the questions and answers sections organized by various institutions for the grandaunts. However, reacting to the report, an official of NYSC, who would not want his name mentioned told DAILYPOST that there is no truth in the report. He said the scheme will not ask prospective corps members to spend any money in checking their medical status. According to him, “Let me tell you now that the report is not true. “Although we NYSC have advised prospective corps members to make their health status known for various reasons mostly for their own good, no one mandated them to spend their money,” he said. http://fabinfos.com/nysc-medical-checkups-not-ask-corps-members-pay-money-officials/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique |

We’ve all heard that the easiest way to a woman’s heart is through words and some Nigerian men have taken it upon themselves to add some flavour to this saying by being humorous with their attempts to woo women with words. Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, shares 6 hilarious pick up lines Nigerian men use. “You Look Familiar. Have We Met?” This is a very popular pick up line used most times by those who are a little shy at heart and want to establish some kind of common ground with the lady when they first walk up to her. Nigerian men typically use this in an attempt to start a meaningful conversation with the lady. Unfortunately, some ladies actually find this annoying and don’t have a very friendly response to the question. “You’re really pretty. You Look Like My Mum” The second part of this pick up line can vary from ‘you look like my mum’ to ‘you remind me of my mum’; either way the point is to compliment the lady and try to develop some kind of connection or common ground with her by relating her to his mother. Some Nigerian men might actually be sincere with this one but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s stunning and laughable to most ladies. “Chai, I wish I met you first” This particular pick up line is more stunning than hilarious but it’s another one from Nigerian men that ladies have to deal with. This pick up line is synonymous with Nigerian men who are already in a committed relationship but see a lady they consider better than the one they are with. Interestingly, you might think a lady will be put off by this line but some are actually flattered by it and it softens them up. Nevertheless, it is advisable that once a lady hears this one she should tread carefully to avoid a very painful heartbreak. “I know the crack on your lips Comes with the weather. Baby let me anoint your lips, I can be your lip gloss” This interesting pick up line is likely to be used by Nigerian men during the harmattan season. Good luck dealing with it ladies. “God told me you’re my wife” This is mainly used by the religious toasters. They don’t seem to have the guts to woo a lady the normal way, so they bring God into what He has no business with believing that the lady’s respect for God will help to win her over. There was once a time some of these religious toasters feared God and used this only when they had actually heard from God, but now a good number of them abuse it and use it as a means to an end. “I am not a prophet but I can see You and I Together” Another pick up line for the religiously inclined, and funny enough it actually works for some ladies depending on how well the Nigerian man is able to use it. Besides, some ladies appreciate the men who use this pick line for being honest and not using the annoying “God told you’re my wife” pick up line. http://fabinfos.com/hilarious-pick-lines-nigerian-men-use/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique 9 Likes 3 Shares

Director of the Abia State Agency For Mass Literacy, Chief Godwin Akara, has called for the summary trial and punishment for anybody or group that endangers the life of a corps member in any part of the country. He also appealed to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) authorities to revisit the corps members’ conditions of service in line with the prevailing economic realities. Akara, who spoke at the send-forth party organised by the agency for its ‘ Batch A’ corps members, decried the reported killings of NYSC members during their service year in some parts of the country, lamenting that these acts happened in spite of the fact that “each ethnic group needs the other for Nigeria to progress.” Congratulating the corps members for their successful service year, he urged them to be at the forefront of the crusade for the peaceful co-existence of all Nigerians anywhere they are. Speaking on behalf of the corps members, Mr. Sherif Olaitan, commended the director for the successes the agency had recorded, particularly during their service year. Meanwhile, in line with the National Youth Service Corps policy on Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), the Director -General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Sule Zakari Kazaure, has donated three wheel chairs to physically-challenged persons at the palace of Maigari of Lokoja in Kogi State. The beneficiaries included: Saidu Ayetu, Hajiya Salamatu Suberu Agaza and Usman Gwagwoya from Idah, Okene and Lokoja respectively.Speaking at the flagging off ceremony of the third edition of HIRD programme in the state, the Kogi state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Ngozi Nwatarali, who represented the Director General, said the donation was part of efforts to assist persons with special needs and to make them feel a sense of belonging. According to her, the HIRD programme has witnessed huge success in Kogi, with specific impacts on Jimgbe community in Ajaokuta Local Council, and the Ozi community of Koton Karfe Local Council of the state. The State Coordinator said the initiative was designed to motivate NYSC personnel to provide free health care services to persons in need, adding that the gesture was also in tandem with the new policy of Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello that harps on the importance of healthy living for Kogi indigenes. http://fabinfos.com/prosecute-killers-nysc-members-official-tells-government/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique |

An official of the Ministry of Justice, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Sheik Abdul-Azeez Alhajlaan, has said that the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Akanbi, is a blessing to humanity. He said this following the Oba’s outright condemnation of idolatry. Alhajlaan described Oluwo a “servant of merit, appointed to lead the populace right in all ramifications.” The cleric declared that the authorities of Saudi Arabia were intimated of the monarch’s preaching against idolatry and had come to declare support for him due to his position on idolatry. A statement revealed that the Saudi delegation’s visit to the monarch in Iwo, Osun State, was facilitated by some Muslim scholars in the town, including Dr. Sirajudeen Asrau, Dr. Daud Baki, Dr. Buwaeb, Dr. Qosim Tijani, Dr. Imran and Mogaji Yaqub Baki. Conducting Alhajlaan round the palace, the monarch said his spirituality was tied to his faith in God, adding that his antagonists had increased because he removed idols from his palace. Oluwo said idol worshipping was never part of the Yoruba culture, while condemning the “wickedness” of some idols that request human beings as sacrifice. Speaking on the need to eradicate some of the “awkward” cultures and traditions, Oba Akanbi said, “We are the only race in the world that sold their (past) generations to slavery. “This is the work of our predecessors and it is still rampant among our folks today and you can see that in child trafficking and sex slavery. “These practices that were inherited must stop because they do not indicate love at all. “It is only our idols that request human beings as sacrifice. Offering tomorrow’s presidents, engineers, doctors, musicians, astronauts, chemists and so on for sacrifice is inhuman, uncultured and wickedness of first class order. It is time to challenge the status quo to liberate our people. “Idolatry is not part of any culture.” http://fabinfos.com/saudi-arabia-praises-oba-oluwo-iwo-condemning-idolatry/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique

Today, about one million seven hundred and thirty six thousand, five hundred and seventy one candidates who registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, including 321 blind candidates will be sitting for the examination, which is a prerequisite for admission to both the universities and polytechnics. For years, there were reported cases of examination fraud perpetrated by the candidates, in some cases with the aide of their parents, sponsors and in collaboration with some staff of JAMB. This year’s examination appears to have some innovations to check exam malpractices. The first step taken by the management of JAMB led by its Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede was the introduction of Closed Circuit Television Cameras and the 624 centres which will monitor movements of candidates and supervisors during the exercise. Prof. Oloyede while briefing journalists recently at JAMB headquarters in Bwari, an outskirt of Abuja, said, “We have started to install CCTV cameras at our test centres so that from the Situation Room, we can monitor what is going on across the country.” Apart from the CCTV camera, JAMB has also modified the payment and registration platforms through which each candidate obtains a PIN and not the usual scratch cards from the market and conduct transaction with the board. Another area where candidates cheat during examination is through dual registration but the management of JAMB has said that such will not occur in today’s exercise. According to Prof. Oloyede, “to guard against dual and multiple registrations that smart candidates do, we have biometrically captured all the fingers of the candidates. If you want to impersonate anyone, you will have to bring the person’s finger. “We have begun to create profiles for our applicants so that each of them would have a personalised account where information would be made available. The process will make coming physically to JAMB office needless as all corrections can be effected on candidates profiles and submission of documents made online.” Aside that, JAMB has introduced as supplement, simple Computer Keyboard to make things easier for those who are not familiar with the use of a mouse or conventional keyboard. On the area of security, JAMB authorities assured of water tight security as the Registrar hinted of the collaboration with security agencies including the military to make the process smooth, secure and satisfactory. Another innovation by JAMB management to curb incidences of examination malpractice is the use of Biometric Verification Machine, BVM, to verify them as the candidates. The JAMB Registrar also stated that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the Police, the Department of State Services, DSS, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related a Offences Commission, ICPC, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have been engaged to monitor examination centres and maintain close surveillance. Each test centre will have a supervisor, a technical officer, a verification officer, three proctors as well as security agents and each state will be superintended over by a head of a tertiary institution, a Vice-Chancellor, Rector or Provost that coordinates the supervisors under his or her jurisdiction. According to him, “As we are set for the 2017 exercise, we have expanded on almost all the frontiers of the 2017 examinations. You may recall that, last year, the examination was conducted in 524 centres. The 2017 UTME would be conducted in 624 centres across the nation. “The challenges so far especially with the earlier botched Mock Examinations have reassured JAMB that whatever happens, happens for the good.” He further stated that JAMB had increased the capacity of the test centres to 250 (with only a few in Categories B and C having the seating capacity of over 200 and 100 respectively), adding that the aim is to make effective documentation and monitoring easier. “Besides, we have also widened our vending banks from four (4) to ten (10) banks and also brought on board Interswitch, Remita and NIPOST. http://fabinfos.com/jamb-plan-combat-exam-cheat-2017-utme/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique |

An addition is basically when a thing begins to control your life and interferes with your daily activities, work and relationships. When your phone starts to do that to you, it has become an addiction you need to immediately break. Jumia Travel , the leading online travel agency, shares 5 effective ways to break a phone addiction. The First Few Minutes of Your Day The first way to break a phone addiction is to dedicate the first 10 to 30 minutes of your day, at least, to planning and creating a good start to your day, rather than unlocking your phone to browse various internet or social media platforms. Create No-Phone Periods You have to be strict with this one because this can significantly decrease your productivity and efficiency once you are unable to carry it out. If you find yourself constantly being distracted by your phone, it is necessary to create a no-phone period, where for a specific number of minutes or hours you close off your phone and stay completely dedicated to your work. Don’t Lose Sleep Over Your Phone Set limits. You should never allow your phone deprive you of your sleep. Be disciplined and set limits. The moment you stop putting energy into caring for your basic needs and start putting all your time and energy into your phone, you are allowing your phone dictate your health and well-being. Please stop that, your phone is not worth your health. Customize Your Notifications The fact is the lesser notifications you receive, the less likely you are to get distracted by your smartphone and constantly check your smartphone. Therefore, customize your smartphone notifications by turning off notifications for the apps that distract you the most. Work on Building Real Life Relationships Rather than spending hours building virtual relationships, try to get real and work to develop real world relationships. Real world relationships are more physically and emotionally gratifying than virtual relationships, so try to move your relationships with people from your phone to a real world platform. Instead of chatting, try to meet up somewhere next time (but be careful with this however and take this step with people you are without a doubt sure you can trust. The key word here is ‘without a doubt’.) http://fabinfos.com/5-effective-ways-break-phone-addiction/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique 2 Likes

Cheating in a relationship is unfortunately gradually becoming a norm in our society. Even among (married) couples, cheating is still prevalent with men being the major culprits…. That doesn’t mean the women don’t cheat as well. For some women, they find cheating very difficult. This is because they are usually more committed in the relationship. An average lady (in a relationship) feels her mind already belongs to her man. Her body professed to him she loved him in the presence of her family, friends and her colleagues. She won’t even hesitate to flaunt her relationship on her social media handles. But for an average man, he is quite aware of the damage getting caught might do to his relationship, but won’t still back out from it. He knows that it would take herculean efforts to win back his woman back (that’s if she would accept him back), but “men would be men”, they love the “adventure”. This is not an attempt to justify this “immoral” act, am just here to drop my opinion on the general reasons people believe men cheats and I hope you would learn how to stop your man from cheating on you. So let’s get down to business, why do men cheat? Your man could cheat because; He has the tendency to S*x for most men is more of a physical activity. It is the women that see s*x as an emotional act. Guess that’s why it’s more convenient for a man to patronize prostitutes. He’s sure he will get away with it A cheating man is always smart. They employ several mechanisms to cover their tracks because there is this funny believe that a “woman in love does more investigation than the FBI”. But in some instances, the man won’t cover his tracks. He would even boast about cheating to his wife. If your man does that, he doesn’t deserve you because he evidently doesn’t respect your feelings. He hasn’t gotten his priorities right The priorities of a man should be God, family, education, business/investments and any other thing that can guarantee his future and that of his family. So if the priorities of your man are drinking and hanging out with his friends, be sure his “priorities” might get him to start cheating…. His friends could also influence him to….. There is a woman waiting for him outside There are some ladies who are more interested in a man who is married. They know their “relationship” has no future so they would try and make the best use of the time they have together. They would sleep with him and extort him of loads of money. Men who are in a relationship or the married men should drop this game and work on their relationship. There’s no fun in cheating. If you think the s*x with the other lady is “good”, why not get your woman to satisfy your sexual needs? That would be safe you from ruining your marriage/relationship and even the numerous sexually transmitted diseases (I hope you know condoms does not protect you from all sexually transmitted diseases? That’s a story for another day tho). For the ladies, if your man cheats and you are willing to forgive him and let go of your grievances, you should…… but if you can’t, just walk away. You don’t deserve to be disrespected because you love him. If he loves you enough, he will do away with cheating. If you have contrary opinions, suggestions or comments, please drop them in the comment section. I’ll be glad to read them and reply. http://fabinfos.com/4-reasons-men-cheat/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique

It might be surprising but definitely interesting to know that lies actually have classifications and not all lies are the same; there are indeed different kinds of lies. Jumia Travel and Jumia Mobile Week share 7 different kinds of lies people tell. White Lies This is often believed as the least serious kind of lie. These type of lies are told to avoid burdening an individual with the weight of the truth. An example is showing appreciation for an undesirable gift. These lies are indeed quite harmless but the problem is over time the white liar loses credibility and is dismissed as an insincere person. The Bold-Faced Lie These lies are common with children, but when an adult does it, it’s just plain annoying. In a bold-faced lie, the liar says something everyone knows is false but stands by it as the truth (regardless of how obvious the lie is). People tend to be resentful of bold-faced lies because of how belittling of time and intelligence it is. Exaggerated Lies Here the truth is usually mixed with untruth to make the liar look impressive to others. The funny part is the exaggerator will sometimes weave truth and lies in a way that confuses even themselves. Unfortunately, at some point the exaggerator begins to believe these lies that no one else might even believe. It’s truly tragic. Deceptive Lies This might seem like tautology but it isn’t. A deceptive lie is one where the deceiver creates a false impression with truth, either by not telling all the facts or recounting the facts in a misleading way. It’s quite impressive actually and unfortunately people tend to believe these lies. These lies are subtle, yet powerful, hurtful and even deadly. Compulsive Lies These lies are either caused by low self-esteem or the need for attention. Compulsive liars tell lies even when telling the truth will be easier and better; what matters most to them is the attention the lies will give them. It’s quite ridiculous and at the same time extremely tragic. Compulsive liars typically find it difficult to stop lying as it is more of an addiction for them. Lies of Fabrication This involves presenting something you are not sure of, as the truth. Gossip blogs are fond of this. These lies are very hurtful and damaging, they typically lead to rumours that put others in danger or damage the reputation of others. Gossips and rumour mongers are the people typically associated with these lies. Duplicitous Lies These lies are typical of people who break spoken promises and commitments. Duplicitous liars typically hide their true feelings and intentions behind false actions and words. These liars cause great damage to others. Unfortunately, they are quite difficult to identify until they’ve disappointed. One way to protect yourself is to try to speak to people who have previously known the person to know if the person is generally associated with broken promises and commitments, so you can be careful. http://fabinfos.com/7-types-lies-people-tell/ 11 Likes 4 Shares

There are plenty ways you can harm your precious strands of hair without even knowing. Jumia Travel , the leading online travel agency shares 10 of these ways. Packing Your Hair Too Tightly Especially for females, anything too tight, particularly when done with rough elastic, can be damaging to your hair because they pull at your scalp and irritate your strands eventually causing hair breakage and damage to your roots. When packing your hair, gently pull it back with bobby pins, claws or elastic covered in fabric rather than packing too tightly. Not Cleaning Your Styling Tools If you fail to clean out those hairy brushes and combs, they become breeding grounds for germs and old residue. These germs and residue can irritate your scalp and clog the pores on your head. You should therefore remove hair from your brushes and combs after each styling session, and once a month clean them with a little baking soda and water to remove the oil and products that get stuck in its bristles. Infusing Your Hair with Too Much Chemicals Too many artificial chemicals are bad for your hair. They can cause breakage and damage to your hair, especially when done often. Try to keep chemical processes on your hair to a minimum and avoid using them often. Heat Styling Too Often With High Heat Excess heat strips the hair of its natural moisture, causing your hair cuticles to dry and snap off. Over time, your hair starts to look dull and starts to suffer permanent damage. To remedy this, avoid heat styling your hair at very high temperatures – don’t turn the heat all the way up. Also, try to heat style occasionally, rather than doing so on a daily basis, and avoid heat styling wet hair because wet hair is more fragile. Perming This weakens your hair, leaving it dull and damaged over time, your hair then starts to look brittle and dry rather than luxurious and shiny. If you cannot do without perms, avoid doing it often, only do it once awhile. Highlights and Colouring Over time, these change the inner structure of your hair making it look lackluster and dry, especially if they are done frequently to hide root colour or grey hair. The easy solution will be to avoid doing this often. Excessive Brushing Excessive brushing can cause split-ends and hair breakage because excessive brushing causes too much consistent friction for the hair to handle. Low quality brushes just make matters worse because they cause snags and tangles worsening split ends and hair breakage. Braiding Braiding especially when done too tightly, or on wet hair, can cause the hair to break and pull out the hair. If it is done too often, permanent hair damage can occur. Over-Shampooing and Vigorous Hair Washing Over-washing washes away your hair’s natural moisture making your hair dry. You can actually tell you’re over-washing your hair when it starts to look dull. This means it’s time to scale back on the washing. Also, avoid being too vigorous when washing your hair to avoid damaging your hair cuticle. Extensions and Weaves The effect of extensions and weaves on your hair is much like braids. They pull at the scalp eventually causing damage to the roots. The discomfort you feel on your scalp indicates their pressure on your roots. Over time, they leave the hair broken and brittle. To temper its effect, you can avoid wearing extensions and weaves for a long time. You can also make use of wigs – they make life so much easier. http://fabinfos.com/10-things-damage-hair/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique 2 Likes

You’re probably wondering what else you can do with eggs apart from eating and maybe using for one or two beauty treatments. Jumia Travel shares 7 surprising things you probably didn’t know you could do with eggs. Treat a Cut The thin membrane from a hard-boiled egg can be applied on cuts to promote healing. The membrane has wound-healing nutrients and can be used as a bandage for cuts. You have to be gentle when applying the membrane on the wound though, so it doesn’t cut from over stretching. To Deter Pests You can use eggs as some form of pesticide to deter pests. Simply scatter crushed eggshells on top of flowerbeds to discourage and deter snails, slugs and cutworms from coming to the area. To Help Seeds Germinate This is mainly done with flower seeds. Eggshells can be used at the initial stage of seed germination. They can be used to start your seeds for the season. Use a needle to poke a small drainage hole in the bottom half of an empty egg shell, fill in the shell with soil and press in the seeds. Take care of the seeds appropriately and watch them grow. To Substitute Glue The proteins in egg white tend to set quite firmly when dry because of their strong bonding properties. Raw eggs whites are actually powerful bonding agents that can be used on paper as a substitute for glue when glue isn’t available. To Fertilize Plants Eggs shells contain a high amount of calcium which is a beneficial mineral for cherry tomatoes, garden eggs and other plants in the nightshade family. For this reason, they are great for use in helping to fertilize these plants to promote growth and germination. To Boost Calcium Intake Like was stated above, eggshells have a high amount of calcium, and aside from using them to fertilize plants, they can also be used to help boost calcium intake in humans. Simply bake an empty egg shell at 350 degree Fahrenheit for eight minutes, let cool, then grind to fine powder and add a teaspoon of it to your juice. To Scour Metal Ground eggshells are powerful abrasives that can be used to clean dirty pots, pans and even pipes to make them shine and look new again. You can add some soapy water to dampen the ground eggshells a bit before using them to scour the metal. http://fabinfos.com/7-surprising-things-eggs/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique 18 Likes 4 Shares

The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, has assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on a permanent orientation camp. Speaking yesterday in Abuja when the NYSC Director- General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, paid him a courtesy visit, he acknowledged that the present facility had been over-stretched due to the urbanisation of the city, thereby leading to the introduction of about three batches of orientation exercises. Bello who said the secretariat would be relocated to a stand-alone office this year or “latest next year,” also assured that the permanent secretary of the ministry would allocate a utility vehicle to the secretariat. Earlier, the NYSC director general lamented that the FCT NYSC orientation camp was over-stretched and could no longer accommodate the number of corps members as well as the activities of the scheme on camp. http://fabinfos.com/fct-minister-to-provide-permanent-orientation-camp-for-corps-members/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun Dominique
