mu2sa2: Gej has two options - continue to pursue the use of military force or negotiate a settlement. For now the military option has failed. What we see is killing of innocent people by both boko haram and JTF. in fact JTF is reported to be killing more innocent people than bh. JTF activities has resulted in the dispersal of bh terrorists away from their maiduguri stronghold to virtually all parts of borno state and also yobe, adamawa, taraba, kano. JTF men are indisciplined and frustrated.Force has its limitations, even Americans hav realised this fact in Afghanistan. Clearly Gej will have to summon the political will to consider a non-violent means to end bh insurgency.
But we should also note that borno and yobe are ANPP-governed states and politics in nigeria can be violent. In fact Yobe state governor recently doubted if all the arson and killings in his state were perpetrated by bh - eg burning of the newly constructed ultra modern Pilgrims Board and schools. He seemed to be implying that the main opposition in the state has a hand in the mayhem engulfing the state and indeed the north east.

Please also educate us on the killing of innocent christians. Do they fall in the opposition category or JtF or FG? Please stop making excuses for these illiterate, mis informed , miSguided and northern elite-backed project.

nijaspace: The truth is that all muslims in the north supports Boko Haram. They only deny them in the pu blic and go back to support them in their secret corners (mosques).

Boko Haram is their collective projects. These monsters called boko haram has always been in the north. It is the same maitatsine of old. They only changed stratagies. They are also against any muslim that refused to agree and accept their jihad nonesence.

If justice is not given its place in that region, there cannever be peace there.

What should be done to curb the BH in Maiduguri and Damaturu and other states is to shut down the states at once same day same time and do a jungle search both in the city and in the village with heavy military presence and anyone found wanted should be taken down to hell. If this is done, BH will be a thing of the past. Shut the cities, towns, villages and the bushes ta once and no thing goes out or come in for a period of a week or there about. Deal with them decisively. Niheria deserves to enjoy peace.

Mr. Mohammed who once served as the chief of staff to late Nigerian first lady, Stella Obasanjo was killed in front of his house in the troubled city of Mauduguri.
The motive for his killing remains unknown. Murtala had recently returned to Maiduguri to resume classes at the University of Maiduguri.


Before his death, Mr. Murtala was living in Jigawa with his wife and two kids.
Murtala was 56 years old.
