Stop talking like a child! Constitutionally those assembly members lost their seat the moment they decamped to APC. so they can't impeach him that was their Bleep up. They should have stayed in PDP then impeach his ass.
Section 109 of the Constitution provides, thus:

(1) A member of a House of Assembly shall vacate his seat in the House if:

g) Being a person whose election to the House of Assembly was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of any other political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected: Provided that his membership of the latter political party is not as a result of a division in the political party of which he was previously a member or of a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored;

A court would still need to establish wether or not there is/was a division in the political party both at National or State Levels... PDP is obviously not in their best moments so problems in the party is very arguable.

Aside from that, I believe the law gives the power to the speaker of the house to even give effect to the said law by declaring the defected lawmakers seats vacant.. so who is the speaker of the house? Or u think the minority 4 lawmakers will just impeach the speaker & suspend the other 25 majority to do this? That hatchet job is possible in Nigeria with only the backing of the Presidency like Obaseki in Edo.. can Fubara boast of such backing in 2024?

I read that Niger state governor has banned sale of food produce in wholesale. This same governor once muted the idea of controlling proceeds of electricity generated from Kainji and Shiroro dams.

What right does a governor have to ban sale of foodstuffs in wholesale? Especially in a country facing food crises and other existential threats?!

For those who may not have deciphered, this obnoxious policy is targeted at Southerners! It is the height of wickedness to enjoy oil and gas proceeds from the South free of charge only to place embargo on sale of foods grown in your own area.

Nigeria is a free market and capitalist country and thus, people are supposed to be free to transact business within the country as they deem fit or profitable, as long as it’s legal. Food is already cheaper in the North due to proximity than South. So, is that advantage not good enough for them?

It’s time for oil and gas producing states to go for broke and demand full resource control. You can’t freely enjoy what comes from another man’s land only to enjoy what comes from yours alone. That’s pure wickedness and witchcraft!

There is hardly any agricultural products being cultivated in the North that can not be grown in the South, the only sensible retaliation is for the southerners to start growing what we eat..massive urban migration is killing us

Investigator, read through my comments on this post. Smiles grin

I indicated that I got an exemption through my Alma Mater via the process you have just enumerated. You have no business with my year of exemption.

Okay..

You were issued with exemption certificate because your school senate approved your graduation when you have already passed the age 30,simply said, you graduated when you had passed the age of 30 hence your excemption!

I have worked with these documents in several private organizations, even till date.[/b]

Normal,NYSC certificate of National Service & Certificate of Excemption carry equal weight. Some who graduated before 30 & opted to make themselves available for service after 30 are doing so because they would never be issued a Certificate of excemption if their record shows they graduated before the age of 30 otherwise most of such people would preferred to get the cert. of excemption.

You can register for mobilization, but the question was: who filed your documents with NYSC? You just answered the simple question - "Okay, your School through the office of Dean, Students Affairs upload the names of all graduated Students called "Senate Lists" to the NYSC Portal"

Your additional information is noted anyway.

Do you even know why the filing has to be done by your higher institution or Alma Mater? Tell me, I want to know

Did the law tell you what happens with people who were below 30years old when they graduated but we're not filed to serve with NYSC for whatever reason and later turn up after they are above 30 years for service.

The question you should ask is: who files your application for service with NYSC? Is it yourself or your Alma Mater or higher institution?

However, this is not an argument worth my while because the matter is in court. You will do well to tell that to the court.

You can apply to be joined as an interested party in the case.

Thanks for your opinion, it is noted.

Did you participate in NYSC? If you did ,what year?
who files your application for service with NYSC? Okay, your School through the office of Dean, Students Affairs upload the names of all graduated Students called "Senate Lists" to the NYSC Portal..Graduates fresh or old who are ready for NYSC will also go to the NYSC Portal armed with their Matric Nos to register for Mobilization..a very important Column in that Mobilization registration online form is "Year of graduation",recall that your Institution had already uploaded your details to the Portal including your Jamb Registration no which has a Date of Birth & year of graduation..Their System calculates your Date of Birth & Year of Graduation before you can be mobilized..Those whose ages are more than 30 after inputting their Year of Graduation will automatically be told to collect their certificate of Excemption in their Schools..I know these because I registered for Mobilization myself..the key word is D.O.G.

Where there is a lacuna or vague information in the law, the courts interpret the law and give explicit position on it to prevent misinterpretation.

This matter is already in court so wait for the outcome. You are not a judge and you position is simply your own interpretation of the NYSC act.

The position of the court supersedes all other positions, though you can appeal it to the highest (supreme) court in Nigeria.

Just follow the event in court as it unfolds.

Can you prove that "NYSC reckons with Age at Graduation for mobilization, and you will be mobilized for NYSC even 30 years after graduation" by referencing and quoting the NYSC act, not what you think?

Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, with effect from 1st August, 1985, a person shall not be called upon to serve in the service corps if; at the date of his graduation or obtaining his diploma or other professional qualification -
he is over the age of thirty

he has served in the armed forces of the Federation or the Nigeria Police Force for a period of more than nine months
he is member of staff of any of the following, that is
the Nigerian Security Organisation
the State Security Service
the National Intelligence Agency
the Defense Intelligence Service
he has been conferred with any National Honour.

The emboldened was clearly explained in the NYSC HANDBOOK given to all NYSC members during the Orientation, I was given one in my service year though now misplaced. You can fact check.

NYSC issues service certificates to participants and NYSC also issues exemption certificates to those who are above 30 years old.

You only need the NYSC certificate or NYSC exemption certificate or letter to get a job with both public and private organizations in Nigeria and to get government appointments.

Open up your mind and learn, stop talking thrash on public media space.

That is not true. Once you are above the admissible age at filing for call-up, you are expected to get an exemption from NYSC service.

Mind you, an exemption still qualifies you for private or public service and government appointments.

He is right & you are wrong. NYSC reckons with Age at Graduation for mobilization. If you were below 30 at Graduation, you will be mobilized for NYSC even 30 years after..Infact, you are not suppose to get employed with your degree certificate till you acquire the NYSC certificate. NYSC is compulsory for every Nigerian that graduated before the Age of 30!

We nigerian like him but not clubs he played for..once they saw through his cirlcle dribble they were quick to release him. He was not a magician. He was a trick star.

It took the likes of Sam allardice and their decipline antics to get him to play real team football for once in his life and that was at the twilight of his career. That's why his best football days was at Bolton. Otherwise he was just a crowd pleaser with nor ending outcome. For those of you thinking am hating, consider that For all his dribble, he hardly never emerge much as highest goal scorer, or had the highest assist or created the most chance in games. But he will emerge somehow as the most liked and most entertaining Player by the crowd. I mean by the crowd. Crowd have a need to be entertained. Coaches consider mostly ur vital stats.

Football has an end. And that's is what we call the "goals" JJ miss it many time both literally and metaphorical. By literal I mean his shots are wide. I mean way wide at times.

By metaphorically I mean to this day he did not opt for coaching or footballing academy but gambling. Am sure he was throwing away games for money even before he became a full fleshed gambling kingpin. If you are into money that way you into money that way. Bad habit no de start one day.
