How can u expect people he saved to turn to detectives just to say thank u. Lois looking for him was justd case of reporter following her instincts NOT to say thank u.
So going by urlogic, d government shud arrest a lonely woman livin on a farm because there is a rumour that a dude that once lived wit her was HELPING people and use her as bait? Don't u think u govt has better things to do than investigating harmless rumours which happen to b countless? So u think people that claim to hv seen ghosts or stuff like that are under surveillance? Common.
Yes superman in the comics can move planets, but when movies are made, it's adapted to follow a story line. And painting him as a confused and lost alien coming to terms with his identity, responsibility , and powers was a good way to go. Maybe in d sequel they will have him move a solar system and expect the audience to clap.

It's not as if the world was looking for him in the first place. The world only started looking for him after zod arrived. She was the one looking for him cos she had encountered him and seen what he could do first hand. Besides wat hard about getting d address of where he grew up? Even if anybody else was lookin for him, as long as he is no longer there, u won't find him. Geez y is dat so hard to grasp. Lois only located where he grew, that was easy and anybody else looking for him wed have done dat. Lois found him cos he wanted her to. So technically, he found her.
How can u say they underplayed his strength at theory rig scene. He was stil an apprentice hero learning his strengths and wasn't even flying at that time yet. He evolved and got stronger as d movie went on. It's like expecting spiderman to have been makin perfect swings when he started to grasp d full nature of his powers. Haba!
When he walked into d daily planet and Lois smiled knowing who he was was bullseye for me.

That's cos he has nothing to prove.

The reason it sucked was because u wanted it to suck so much, nothing was gonna save it. Another reason was cos it was not batman as such nothing was gonna satisfy u. U lost credibility when u criticised Lois knowing his identity early on whenthis was in fact d best concept of the movie. You instead want Lois to foolishly work with Clark and not realise he is superman cos of a pair of glasses.
Secondly Lois is an award winning reporter who found Clark cos he wanted to b found. If he didn't show up at the grave, she wudnt have met him. He wanted to be found cos hewas tired of wandering about lost in the world and Lois was searching for him about the same time.
And finally u lost me when u criticised the oil rig scene when even th movie's harshest critics concede that as the best part.

This nairaland is a wierd place. Its only here a producer is compared to a singer. Its jus absurd.

Even though wat she did is disgraceful. Wats worse is dat some pple support her on d premise that others do it in private but hers was in public,and so shud b condoned. Its a sick school of thought by people who believe if for example u can't catch all criminals, then the ones caught she be set free until all can be caught. No matter how much we try to decieve ourselves, wat is bad is bad simple. Its jus that intead of pple to condemn her, they support her as a means of justifyin similar acts done previously or similar acts being planned. From a moral point of view it bad. And from a responsibility point of view, its also bad knowing u are represntin a hugely conservative country in a continental theatre. Pls let's not lower the standards of morality to console our selves for our past bad deeds, intead, let's raise the bar for our children. If u hv engaged in such acts b4, pray to God and he'l forgive u and don't go about sayin since I did it or might do it, then don't blame anybody tht does so!

Its not d artists that are wack, with all due respect, its ur taste in music that's wack. U ignore artists like bez, asa, mode9, praiz, becca, waje, toba gold, etc and u go for d wack ones and wen they give u wackness, u start complaining. Even in d albums of the so called artists with wack lyrics, they have songs that aren't noisy and reflects their struggles in life. But u ignore them are go for d wack jams. Our artists aren't wack, the radio stations promote wack songs cos its wat d public want. And by d way, u over estimate the topics out there music can cover.

Wat a silly post. The reason u don't like South african music is probably d same rreason u don't like indonesian or gambian or german music. Its cos ur r not south african kapish! If u like it, its a bonus for them but u r not the reason they go into a recording studio. @simonandal: I like ur lighthearted approach to movies. Most peeps in hear seem to watch movies like they work for the oscar committee or sumtin. Dudes b thrashing errythin like well paid critics. Most pple in here go to a movie wit such a negative mindset, dat I wonder y they bothered. Some1 was like all summer movies were trash! Haba na. Like joker said "y ur so seriousssssss"
my favourite movies so far are: end of watch(best dialogue and partner chemistry ever), pacific rim(thoroughly satisfying.Need a second watch though), star trek(perfect: sci fi heaven), man of steel(very solid re-booth), oblivion(concept na die).
Am I d only who feels ironman 3 was overrated?? Movie made 1.2billion so far!!!

Guys guys! Its okay to like a wack movie. U don't have to prove it cos u'l loose credibilty and appear aloof! Imagine comparing skyfall wit QOS that almost wrecked the bond franchise! U even went as far as comparing adele's amazin oscar winning ballard to some rock track I can't remember anymore! Now dats desperate. Normally most films polarize, its either the fans love it and d critics hate it or its vice versa. Skyfall belongs to a rare category of movies where both love. Skyfall was in d top 10 of a lot of critics and fans. QOS that turned bond into universal soldier! Wen I heard adele belt out that ballard wen bond fell into d water, I knew I was in for a treat and I wasn't disappointed.

Sumtimes I wonder y peeps bhave as if, any of the mentioned artists pay them. Anyway I'l give it to solar plexus cos, its got more songs u can repeat often.

How can anybody compare them. White house down is a joke wit a pretty boy lead character that was scarcely believable. Imagine Jamie fox in white sneakers running around as president. That white house lawn car chase scene was rubbish. Olympus was way better. Butler was dope

Skyfall critics should jus b patient. Hopefully in d near future, u'l get ur wish of a bond movie with a megalomaniac bad guy plotting to take over the world possibly with a nuclear weapons angle and bond without takin a hit saves d day wit a gadget he borrowed from inspector gadget. Lol

Snyder has definitely re-invented superman in d best way possible the future. I loved the way he tackled his identity crises. I also loved how a lot of emphasis was placed on his original name and his earth name with the S on his chest explained in such a brilliant way that stopped it from bein cheesy. Costner and crowe's performances reminded us of hw good actors they were. And the scenes on a dying planet krypton were jus spendid. And in Zod, they gave us a villain u couldn't blame for actions. Unlike loki in avengers that wanted to ruin earth jus for no reason, Zod had had reasons u could relate to as superman was his target, while earth was collateral damage_brilliant.
Also showin us glimpses of custmes worn by kryptonians wen zod was sentenced made it easy to relate to superman's custume. Re-tellin origin stories is a difficult task and snyder nailed it. In henry cavill, we were given a hero who wasn't faced wit the impossible task of impersonating christopher reeves but given d task to b his own man which he nailed. The only minor let down was dat d movie was serious and humour was @ a premium, but one can't b suprised considerin nolan's involvement.
Am definitely gonna see again to appreciate the other details o missed. But all in all, a really good movie.

@ village boi: u lost it for me wen u mentioned after earth, d year's biggest flop and d final nail in shymalan's career. Sory but can't take ur views serious wit comments like that. After earth?!? That rubbish film? Their weapon of combat was a cutlass which is close range weapon wen they had d technology for a long range weapon like a gun. They cud make space ships but no long range weapon!!!! So they always had to b close to d monster to kil it.

2-nobodi test me_8/10 : me thinks ice prince killed this one, that his "see real like nestle" line was a knock out.mi was pre-occupied wit kelly handsom while jargo seemed to rhyme faster than the beat.

Skyfall is d best bond movie ever and among the top 5 movies of 2012. The problem naija fans have is dat d advent of nollywood has warped their ways of judging movies.
Rarely do u see critics and fans falling for a movie. 99% of critics loved it and fans loved it cos they contributed to it makin over a billion dollars in d box office. Only 15movies have made over a billion dollars.
Another problem was havin to wean these naija critics off the cartoons brosnan was dishing out and make them appreciate a real movie. All these nairaland critics wanted to see was the personification of inspector gadget and either ignored or lacked the capacity to appreciate things like the beautiful malay scenery, the realistic fight scenes, a villain to remember, a simplistic plot we coud relate to. Instead dumbheads wanted inspector gadget battling a bad guy who wants to take over the world lol!

This arguement is frankly ridiculous. Let's keep europa aside first, liverpool has more european championship trophies that man u, but man u has more domestic trophies than liverpool, and yet united is seen to have eclipsed liverpool in terms of superiority.
I remember wen man u was relegated to europa last season, fergie said it was a punishment for failing in champs league, b4 uefa forced him to apologise and change his tone. Don't get me wrong, winning any trophy is a good thing, but for a team like chelsea, it was jus a consolation that salvaged a tumultous season.
I remember redknap always playing his fringe players in europa cos to him it was a distraction. Even newcastle started feilding fringe players to focus on their relegation battle.
The fight for 4 spot in premeirship alone generated more interest than europa final with all due respect. Its not a matter of the team u support, its a matter of fact! That's y uefa keeps doing everythin possible to keep it relevant. It was re-branded, formatt changed, etc all in an effort generate interest.
Also a champs league drop out bein beaten in europa doesn't necessarily make it a stronger competition cos some of the drop-outs there aren't as motivated or uninterested. wen croatia played holland in france 98 world cup third place match, croatia won cos they were more motivated, as holland were favourites and had jus lost a close fought semi-final to brazil and croatia was playin in d worldcup for d first place
