Even though they are no more in the limelight, I jus wanna know who was d bigger action movie star among them. |
When I first heard maybach music, I was tripped by d concept used by rick ross. Solid classic trak I felt, then I heard aston martin music. Same concept of makin music for exotic cars. Now am tryna find out which track is doper. Ur thoughts please! |
After going tru those tracks I 've come to d followin conclusion- 1: blaze- jesse jagz killed it on this one. His delivery was superb 2: noboby test me- definitely ice prince despite startin first. 3: choc boyz anthem- m.I edges his boys slightly. Mayb cos his verse was longer. 4: overkillin- kai I'l give this to ice prince. Straight up killed it(, ur empty dats y they b feelin u(fillin u)get it?) 5: represent- still not sure , I 'l get back to u |
Very impressive album especially in an era where creativity is being overlooked these days. Rarely will u c a rap album so diverse with sumtin for everyone and yet remain true to its theme of naija hiphop. He has managed to create a middle gound for nnaija rap music. Before u were either too distanced from d audience cos of xcess yankiness or abstract lyricsm OR too local wit pidgeon littered wackness. But he has found d perfect middleground wit this effort. |
1:oleku-ice prince 2:omoba-da prince 3:noni-samklef 4:pump it up-jesse jagz 5:we no be novice-pherowshuz 6:drinks in a glass-OD 7:oti ya were-terry feat MI 8:tease me-wizkid 9:janglover-jimmy flames 10:baby I got it-femi |
After going tru this thread, we have a nearly unanimous winner. And the winner is, GEAR 1 by FAZE!!!. |
The name Mi is now a best seller so they put him on d list to attract attention that's all. Bliv me it has nothin to do wit d music. For me its YQ |
1:tuface-only me 2:jesse jagz-pump it up(classic jam!) 3:terry: sample remix 4:d'prince- omoba 5:ice prince-oleku |
RR is definitely a beta rapper but 50 is beta packaged |
Am not tryna get d beta rapper in d crew but more of who had d best verse d times they collaborated on trax.I'm gonna pick out 5 trax which had all three of them on it. Just want ur opinion on who had d best verse- 1-represent 2-blaze 3-overkillin remix 4-nobody test me 5-choc boyz anthem |
I like girls-YQ This jam was nonsense . I xpected so much from YQ. Crap single |
Attention hiphop heads, if MI2 bleeped up, its ok cos there's stil hope for d xmas. Go pick up RETURN OF THE PHERO by pherowshuz. That's d best freakin rap album out there now. Its thoroughly satisfying. Instant classic men! Don't enter d new year without dat sh*t! phero and mode9 saved d year. |
Wat of kanu? Keave yakubu joor. Afterall I saw messi miss an open goal against espanyol |
The award is not a personality contest so free d guy joorr. Try and restrict ur judgement to d very thing that brought him to us-his football ability. Besides won't d world b boring if we were all humble and nice? |
This is d dumbest thread I've seen in a while. Wats next-camerounians are happy, or ivorians are angry. Do u need a soothsayer to know this? Its jus normal reaction and not news. |
Gyan's nomination is purely a sentimental one. Missing that penalty alone is enuff to wreck a european or south american but d standards in africa are pretty low so we console ourselves in underachievement. Stop usin world cup cos statistically, eto had a better world cup. He scored 2goals in three games(I.e 66%) while gyan scored 3 in 5(60%). Gyan just had a better team period. Thank God caf got it right- how can BBC give it to a player who missed a golden opportunity to make african history. He should be FINED! |
Half way tru d current season, and so far here they are. Feel free to comment. We'l adopt d traditional 4-4-2 GK-Manuel Almunia(arsenal)) LB-Paul koncheesky(liverpool) CB-jonny evans(man u) CB-mathew upson(west ham) RB-lescot(man city) LM-joe cole(liverpool) AMF-stephen ireland(asto martin) DMF-Poulsen(liverpool) RM-david bentley(spurs) ST-rooney(man u) CF-carlton cole(west ham) |
Attention all so called hip-hop heads, u guys are too few to be as significant as u think. u constitute lets say 5% of d music audience and believe me, 90% of this 5% reside in lagos. and most of u wont even buy an artists album even if their mothers brought it to ur door steps. u rather down load frm d net and u expect an artist to base his career on pleasin u, oh please. after realisin TAI and illegal music, MI has NOTHING to prove to u. it was not time to make his own music which he did on this album. most great rappers are allocated one classic album in their careers. Nas-illmatic, jay z-reasonble doubts, biggie-life after death, tupac -all eyes on me. so free MI joooorr, i can authoritatively tell u dat in d north, his fans are buying it in multiples, either for their mums or babes! |
i've been reading this thread carefully for while now and realised while some of u are objective, others are just plain passionate the truth is that islam is d fastest growing religion- now this is a fact, just google it. @oladeegbu- for every convert u post video of u can easily get a video of xtians who went the other way so the issue really is the circumstance surrounding their conversion. And the truth is u have more learned people converting to islam than u have convertting to xtianity. I have lots of clips of western proffessors who accepted islam due to its clarity coupled wit d pagan history of the faith they departed but i dont know how to put them up. i dont know d names of ur so called converts but u could know these former xtians turned muslims 1-Nicholas Anelka(chelsea footballer) 2-David chappelle(very popular american comedian) 3-Yusuf estes(former priest now islamic preacher) 4-jermaine jackson(brother to michael jackson) 5-katt stevens(member of a very popular english rock band turned islamic preacher) 6-malcom x(great activist) 7-frank ribery(french footballer) etc, there are more whom u wudnt know but its not d point cos its not a popularity contest Now pls consider this point-before Islam, xtianity had a feild day evangelising the globe. it had no organised rival its like been given a head start in a race and now fast forward years later u are still arguing how muslims are convertin instead of wonderin how such an advantage was wasted. in fact theres a report i saw on cnn of how d prison authorities were sayin alot of their inmates were convertin to islam in prison. wat i put before u is fact so pls i expect factual replies. |
Apart from jagz, for me has to be PHEROWSHUZ!! Kai I didn't see it coming. He has to be d most underated rapper out there. He doesn't even let u recover from a punchline b4 he hammers u another. I know it goes beyond that but he managed to match it wit solid beats as well. I rarely skip any track and for a 20 tracker, that's incredible! Jadakiss once said- beats help niggas but we help d beats- that's wat phero is capable of! Hope he'l finally get d respect he deserves! |
jesse jagz without doubt. That guy knows d meaning of good music. Heck I bought d cd thrice! After previous copies I had started skippin. the beats on display simply blew me away. I've bought other cds after that but its still jag of all tradez all d way, |
Yes am back! Finally sampled ruggedy, well no doubt he still holds his own. To think of d fact dat he has had to evolve his style to compete this newer generation sci-rappers, d guy try well. But u can't help but feel d album was primarily put out there to address d whole 9ice issue as adigun's cup was over flowing and ruggedy fans were baying for his blood. And on dat, I feel he dealth wit it well. I liked wat he did, getting chinadu to fight dirty while he dealt wit d facts. All dat said, I place it above HOD in my earlier rankings. So its now 1-pheroshuz 2-MI2 3-BANS 4-untouchable 5-OD(fav. Track-lets ride) @mode9007 I take it u've not got return of d phero.pls do o! |
Kai @ this stage for its pheroshuz o! This brother is lyrically insane. Very few rappers out there can match d amazing wordplay this dude is dishing out on this album. He is so underated. Any true rap head must get this album. Favourite tracks- rhyme tight and we no be novice. I repeat phero is mmaaaaadddddd!!! Next is MI2-did enuff to keep him ontop. D album was risky as he experimented a lot but managed to pull it off. Probably not a classic but ok. I wonder y guys are not commenting on his beef track. I liked it a lot. Its a real mature diss track. Then terry the rapman Finally OD-should have really done more wit his beats. Beats were dull and monotonous but otherwise he comes thru as imposin as ever. About to sample ruggedman, be back to tell u where it slots in. Can't find vector yet. |
@ fred 87 I picked those album cos they came out about d same peri od. I think u'd agree wit me that d mode and sauce aldums came out much earlier.plus am pretty sure a lot must have been said about them. t |
As long as my ma Alhaji diego forlan is not on that list, fifa can go to hell. This guy took a very average uruguayan team to d world cup semi's. And he did it in style scorin a variety of goals to showcase his ability. Walahi d last world cup wud be remembered to 3 things, failure of stars to shine, vuvuzelas, and Alhaji diego forlan. On d club level, he led another average team to europa league, scorin @ every stage of d tourney. And finally to rest my case, he scored against almost all d big teams in la liga last season. |
Six of naija's finest rappers realised their albums @ about d same time. So there's enuff to satisfy d average fan. I want u guys to rate the albums from d best to d least impressive. In no particular order, here they are: Untouchable-ruggedman Return of d phero-pherowshuz Boys are not smiling-terry d rapman MI2 the movie-MI HOD-overdose State of suprise-vector. |
@ chamotex Am totally wit u on this plus - its like a 100metre dash where athletes of similar ability are to race but one is given a 50metre head start. This comparism really doesn't add up. Wat I can say is vec put himself on a hot seat and passed, cos he had more to loose in makin a wack version than he has to gain in making a better version! |
Since u want micro-analysis of rappers line to discredit them then why allow this vec's line go scot free- in champion remix he said sumtin about bein hotter than a stove. U and I know a stove is only hot wen its in use therefore that line is weak and doesn't connect. Beta leave ice p o! |
I weep for anyone who judges a rapper wit one or twwo weak lines. Every single rapper out there has those which frankly is inevitible if u intend to make a career out of rapping. Its about d quality of d song or album as a whole. Mode 9 said sumtin about takin blind dogs(or was it cops?) to a crime fight. This line is senseless but doesn't make him wack cos of wat we know he can do. Same applies to sauce-baff up go toilet! Even pac biggie and jigga have a few weak lines here and there. Besides dat ice prince line can make sense. Cos to be d next best thing in many cases, u have to generate some form of buzz a.k.a interest, which makes u interesting. |
Any team wit superman will be difficult to beat. So it will boil down to kal el vs logan and if lohan can incorporate krypton wit his claws then he wins and xmen win |
I really don't see any ground for a fair comparism here. Firstly ice was looking for an audience friendly tune to finally get his career of d ground which he did perfectly. He rhymed in a simplistic way which ensures fan not only singing along but also rapping along. Ice wrote dat chorus,d language is irrelevant, d main thing is he had a mental picture of how he wanted it to sound and was smart euff to identify brymo to deliver it. Besides its usually easier to improve on known material cos its like being given a head start in a race. The real comparism shud be vectors mainstream attempt track GET DOWN feat 2face against OLEKU! |
